Very disappointed in this motel.Booking a non-smoking room doesn't matter, if the overwhelming odor of marijuana smoke permeates into your room. The coffee pot in my room contained stale water in the resivior from who knows how long ago.

The bed was clean and comfortable. That is the number one thing for me. The rate was good. There was a pool (which was clean) and breakfast was included. AC worked well. The staff was friendly. The toilet was not clean upon check in. (something was on the lid, and there were pee drop marks over the side on the outside of the toilet bowl) There was mold on the ceiling in the shower (room 207). The tap water tasted AWFUL (I always drink tap water and this was just BAD). There weren't many outlets in the room and those that were available were being used by lamps, the tv, the fridge. (People bring laptops, tablets, cell phones, etc and need outlets to charge things. I was surprised at how hard it was to find plugs to charge our 4 cell phones.) The location was directly next to/facing a different motel with lots of people hanging around its outside, McDonald's next door and a diner next to it's back. (Maybe take a look at the streetview to see this.) The building's exterior had a lot of cracks. The pool was smaller than it looks in the pictures. And the 'hot' breakfast was a waffle maker and jimmy dean breakfast sandwiches to microwave, toast, cereal, yogurt, muffins, oatmeal pouches, etc. I thought it'd be more like what we had at a different hotel (actual hot dishes, serve yourself but with an attendant).So... I could recommend it anyway if you're really just looking for a budget friendly with a clean, comfortable bed and or a pool/food. Maybe bring lysol wipes though. But if you're a little pickier about the things I mentioned... you may want to try elsewhere.

The host at the front desk was extremely accommodating on our recent visit from 22 to 23 May. We were in need of medical services and they pointed us in the direction of a hospital and were very accommodating for accessibility options in our room and they recommended a good place to eat and we had a relaxing night stay after a long and exhausting car drive.

People were nice. However, I got the worst bed bug bites of my life. I had several pieces of luggage in the room for work and now I get to worry about not cross contaminating my home and workplace. They fully refunded me but offered nothing other than that. Hope my home doesn t become contaminated. Looked at other reviews in the past, unfortunately after the incident, and there s been multiple occurrences of people with the same problem.

The reservation was under my partners name. We stayed in room 213 on August 27 checked out 28th. After a long drive we needed a restroom before even checking in. The main restroom by lobby had ants crawling all over inside. We should have just left after seeing that but we didn t. The elevator is all scratched up inside with graffiti. The halls smelled heavy of smoke and mold. Our room also smelled very moldy I didn t sleep at all because my allergies were so awful the floor in our room literally had an angle to it. The walls were pretty marked up and our bedding had burn marks on them. Choice hotels should be ashamed. This is not a quality inn standard. Save ur money and get some rest in a cleaner place.

The lobby area is nice and updated. The room however has furniture that is quite outdated. The bedding was ample, nice pillows good mattress. The bathroom shower was average with weak water pressure. I was given a non smoking room however there was a smoky scent throughout the room.

Don't get me wrong, it was clean and everything was made available to us. The breakfast wasn't bad. But at 125 a night, I expected more. Horribly uncomfortable pillows made it a rough night. furthermore, our family rented a total of 3 rooms and all of them smelled of mildew and wet clothing .my sister in law had to change rooms because hers reeked of tobacco.walls are thin. My son turned the heat on accidentally and the room filled with the smell of burnt hair. I thought the fire alarm was going to go off. Then, all but 1 of our key cards stopped working. It was ridiculous. Not to mention your room view is of a motel 8 and a McDonalds. lovely.

Very good hotel! They randomly upgraded us to a room with a jacuzzi and it was wonderful! The roon was very clean and smelled amazing. The bed was huge and the pillows were nice and squashy. They had a decent variety of things to choose from for breakfast, but I was sad to see there was no bacon. Ha ha. My only complaint is that there was a dust bunny that appeared in the jacuzzi afterward, I can only assume it was stuck in one of the holes and that can't be helped. And the fact that such a nice hotel was polluted by the funky smell from the smoking rooms bugged us. Otherwise, I we are very, very happy with our experience. Would totally recommend.

Nice and quiet. The room looked and smelled clean and fresh. Plenty of dining opportunities close by and close to Starved Rock State park. I only have one complaint and that is their swimming pool doesn't have stairs it only has ladders and it would be difficult for anyone with a disability to exit the pool without the use of the lift chair, which they did have.

Nice and fairly clean, but very thin walls! The only complaint i have really have is our own fault: we didn't realized we booked a smoking hotel room. I had to wash every thing when we got home because the smoke stench was every where! I was excited that there was a fridge/freezer, and the staff was really friendly.

It's a quiet location, but the parking lot is small. It is actually warm in the pool room unlike the other hotels where you freeze, but it smells too strongly of the chlorine. The breakfast isn't that great. The water pressure leaves a lot to be desired. Walked barefoot in my room and my feet turned black. They definitely need to step up their cleaning game. The staff is very friendly, though.

When I arrived in the room the stench of cigarettes was overwhelming, I could look past it although there was a number of other issues with the room. Burn holes in the bed cover, dark stains on the carpet and spiderwebs in the bathroom leaving me to wonder when the last time my room had a proper deep clean, even more worrisome due to the rise of covid cases. It s a Quality Inn so I wasn t expecting anything fancy but this was awful. I should have listened to the reviews before booking.

We had a very pleasant and comfortable experience at this hotel. It was very snowy on our drive up and the front desk called us before our arrival to make sure we were still planning on coming. There were few guests due to the weather and we got an upgraded room, which was a nice surprise. The front desk was very friendly and helpful. Location was convenient with many food options nearby. The room was clean and comfortable. I would consider staying here again.

Nice place and friendly desk staff. Spent one night while traveling West. Was given recommendations for a place to eat and a 10% off coupon to a Mexican restaurant just down the street. The hall to our room smelled like a smokers' floor, but the room was fine. Breakfast was fresh with the usual variety of choices. I would stay here again.

Bed bugs bed bugs bud bugs. Checked bed before bringing g our stuff in thank you lord. Moving real bugs. Felt the need to write another review because Didn't now how to edit other one and motel replied to review saying they couldn't find our reservation, not gunna let them minimize!! They are lying. We booked through booking.com which said they would refund us but had to call hotel first to verify.. then OH but gee takes 7-10 days to refund, that really helps us for tonight. Refused to just transfer reservation but that's booking.com issue not hotel so moving on!!! Whole experience was just bs. So booking.com called hotel the first time to verify the representative literally said that the person at desk was very rude and hung up on her. They ended up call having to call them back a second time but anyways we left and (my mother, 7 yr old daughter and myself) sat across street while we delt with booking.com and watched as hotel just kept checking people in. Don't know about you but I think that is really not cool, but bugs are no joke and to bring them home is a serious disaster, expensive time consuming disaster. Just wanted to be clear about review. "Oh thanks for review but we couldnt find your reservation." Ya right. Thats a great way to try to try to make the review irrelevant or at least less impactful. Nice tactic. Just stay at your own risk. They should be ashamed of them for knowingly putting so many at risk. Sorry for long post. I think reviews are important and helpful so i Just wanted to be clear.

Very friendly staff. Average room size very clean bathroom kind of small. I like having the vanity outside the bathroom big plus! The entire staff is very friendly and well-trained. This is a good property excellent value! They are remodeling and I believe it will be really nice when they are done. I will stay here whenever I'm in the area

I hate to leave a negative review...but unfortunately this was not the best experience. Looking for a place to sleep for the night, we arrived just before midnight. The first room we were given had very obviously not been cleaned. After returning back to the front desk, we were given a second room.wjole this one was clean, when ever you tried to flush the toilet water would leak out the back all over the floor. Additionally the sink leaked when you used it as well. There are two other hotels nearby this one...I guess if it were me again, I'd try for a room at one of the other ones first.

Booked a room last night. So far no complaints. Nice quiet room near shopping and restaurants. Breakfast was okay, the waffle batter was too soupy and the biscuits and gravy were cold. Other than that I give it a 4 star rating. P.S..I'm still here while posting this review after eating their breakfast on my birthday!

Very clean and updated hotel. We were in a disabled room on first floor and shower flowed into the rest of the bathroom.Went through all of our towels drying it up.Breakfast area was super clean and had the friendliest lady working it.

We had a very lovely stay. The rooms were clean and quiet. The breakfast was a hot breakfast with scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, 3 kinds of juice, 4 kinds of cereal coffee, and tea. All in all, it was a very stay.

Clean room, night staff was friendly. Come day time though... we saw the cleaning guy peeing next to the dumpster, then was sitting in the stairwell on the phone as I tried to carry stuff out. Don't try to get breakfast if someone is refilling the food, you will be moved out of the way. After staying here the last 5 years or so we won't be back.
