Very thankful for finding this place, could not get a straight answer frim every other place regarding my vehicle, these guys figured it out, possibly saving my life. Thanks for doing your job, well.

I like this place but they charged me $142 for an oil change. OIL CHANGE! Oil change was $96 and the tire rotation was $40. I have never paid that much ANYWHERE for an oil change. I ask the guy about it he said that s how much they charge. They charge more than a dealership. I pay about $85 with oil change and tired rotation at the dealership. They are a rip off!Maybe they did this because I am a woman, a BLACK woman. But they will never get my business again and that s for sure.Just go to the dealership people! They will over charge you for simple stuff!!!Service: Oil change

I had a great experience with Stecher's.. I spoke to Rob, who did a diagnosis test on my 2010 Ford Taurus.. Rob was very professional and very nice to me and my finance'. He explained to us, and showed us what the problem was..I plan on using their service again.

My car had a misfire. Went in to get it fixed but, when I got my car back I noticed it was leaking oil. Mind you my car has NEVER leaked oil before. Long story short they fixed my misfire but NEVER told me I had a leak where my oil is. I took it to a different mechanic my mom uses who I trust more and he specifically told me based on where the hole is there's NO WAY they didn't see that hole and leak when they went in to fix the coil because it's right there next to it. Safe to say I WILL NEVER do business there again.

I RARELY rate people or businesses but Bob and Rob have been GREAT to work with for over 20 years. Please note the few 1 star reviews don't take into account most shops have to charge from $80-100 per hour for shop time. If it takes them one-two hours to diagnose an issue that's $80-160 for a fuse ($130 was stated) or a coil swap ($150 was stated). Because you dont understand labor, material, and equipment costs doesnt mean they deserve a 1 star rating or to be criticized. Any mechanic or dealer would charge similarly, price it out and see? They have tons of experience and solved a problem you couldn't so the billed you for the time and knowledge. Stechers team is very thorough, honest and complete. I have nothing but praise for them!

Fantastic shop. Rob at the shop is fantastic. They do amazing work that they stand by. They are very accommodating and work well around your schedule with what you have going on. Don't listen to anyone who complains about the price. Sure, you want to pay $20 less, take your car to Sears and let them ruin it. Stecher's guys do great work and it's worth that little extra to know my wheel isn't going to fly off at 70 miles per hour, or that my transmission's going to drop out in the middle of a long trip I had to make. As long as me and my wife are in Peoria we will continue to take our vehicles to Stecher's Shop when we need work done.

I've taken my car to Stecher's for both routine maintenance and unexpected issues over the last four years. They are prompt, polite, and helpful. They have explained everything completely, told me about any options I might have, and never tried to upsell me. They do good quality work and have always fixed whatever problem I was having the first time they tried. I highly recommend them.

Great place that will do a quality job of fixing you up. It may end up costing s bit more than another place, but you will be sure to get good service done. I will definitely be coming back here if I experience any more problems with my vehicle while staying in the area.The owner, Rob, is a great guy and he'll be able to tell you what's going on in a way that you can understand and give you all the smart options you have moving forward.

I appreciate their ability to get me in last minute but they charged me $150 for a cylinder 3 ignition coil. Once I googled the cost for this I realized I was charged at least $100 more than I should have been. Shameful to see them taking advantage of people for having a lack of knowledge in this field. I don t recommend and won t ever come backService: General repairs & maintenance

Got stuck in Peoria in freezing cold weather. They towed my car to their shop and had it done within two hours. Honest and friendly. He tells you exactly what was wrong with your vehicle and what they did to fix it. Prices are reasonable to their services. Would definitely recommend coming here!

Been here a few times, inspection, oil change, random repairs. The team is super awesome and super quick, definitely my go-to shop whenever I have car trouble. Simply the best!!

Excellent communication and I think the service is pretty good but they definitely over charge you on parts. They charged me $50 to refill the antifreeze in my car which is ridiculous. I'm just glad that they got my radiator fixed and working again

Stecher's Automotive Services takes the worry out of vehicle maintenance. Their quality service and time taken to explain what and why is needed leaves no doubts as to the necessity of any work done. Bravo!!

Great, family-owned business (4th generation!). Genuine care for customers that is rare these days. I came in as a walk-in the day before Thanksgiving, and they were very accommodating. Were able to help me out the same day and only charged $15. Couldn't thank them enough!From Main, turn into the alley (there is a painted arrow). The office is in the door with the key drop (next to the large garage door).

Rob is ninety-nine percent of the time available to help getting your car in, service, and out. I've been going to stechers for a long time and that's because I feel that their work is dependable. However they are in need of more accredited service people.

Great guys. Battery died before work and they let me borrow their portable charger - tried giving the guy cash for letting me borrow it and he said no way, bring your car to me when it needs fixed.

Charged my wife $130 to change her fuse... lied to her and said the computer takes 45 minutes to read the codes which not true. Absolutely ridiculous . $130 to change the fuse I wish I wasn t out of town when this happened.

Very nice people, however they do mark up their parts very high. They charge $12 a quart of DEX 6 transmission fluid.
