I've done business with John's Automotive for a decade and have never had a bad experience with the business. I respect his honest opinion about repairs and his willingness to work with you. I've had my Maserati, Mercedes, and Chrysler and many others serviced at this establishment. Orginally said 600.00-700 to replace radiator then ended up Wanting 1500 to replace my radiator on my f150. I bought one for 150 plus other supplies for maybe a total of 300.00 and spent a couple of hours to fix it myself. Way too pricey, don't go here.

Was very quick with the work on the car and extremely reasonable with the price and helped us out a lot with what we could afford they preformed excellent work and high quality on the car and we own a 1994 riviera supercharged so the car isn t easy to work on and they were able to I appreciate all the work and help they gave us

I must say John is an AMAZING mechanic, who not only went above and beyond, but got us right in to get our suv back up and running, making sure we were ready for travel. I would recommend this shop to anyone who has some car issues and are in Peoria IL. It has been a pleasure and we truly appreciate you & all the hard work you put in to helping people get back on the road! Blessings!

Was grateful they were able to get me in so soon when I was having issues with my car. However, some things that were asked to look at were not ever addressed and feel like I was way over charged. Was told all of my rotors, brakes, brake pads, etc. needed replaced. Payed over $1000. Did not give me a copy of what was done to the car. When looking at my car it looked as if 2/4 rotors were not even replaced because of how rusted and older they were still, yet they were supposed to be "new". Also my oil change was alone $100. Never have I ever paid so much for an oil change in my life. Most I have ever paid was maybe $50. Sorry to say I will never go here again or recommend anyone.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Oil change

John was able to diagnose and repair a complicated damage issue on my 2003 Mercedes E320 wagon. He is a wealth of knowledge with Decades of experience. And he worked with my insurance company to make sure the damage would be covered. To even fixed a couple of extra things, without me even having to ask.

DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE !!!!John charged me $500for a tune up Spark plugs, wires , oil change , air filter, computer scan . When local competitors charge $356-$380 for the same servicesKeep in mind the car is a 07 Pontiac Grand Prix , not a Jaguar or some other luxury car. This guy is a complete CROOK!He over talks you when your trying to get a understanding on services. I wouldn t let this guy charge the oil on my lawnmower The customer service is horrible & the service as wellThe guy left cut spark plugs wires on top on my carHe leaves your car unlocked after service is done..Be prepared for a hefty/ OVERPRICED bill when dealing with guy CUSTOMER BEWARE & STAT AWAY !!!

John did a load of high quality work and had us on the road again the next day for a very fair price.It can be hard to find someone trustworthy to work on your cars.This will be our new permanent mechanic, we are very grateful for his professionalism.

John replaced the receptacle in my Chevy Cruz! He knew what he was doing and had it done in less than 10 minutes and he was a lot more less expensive than taken it to dealer. Thank you John you are awesome!Service: Electrical repairService: Electrical repair

My cousin referred me to come here , called the first time with same problem spoke with owner and said he would stay over and wait until I got off of work AMAZING! I thought right then and there this is my new place for repairs. Today I wanted to get work done that would take at the most 20 min. Instead of staying late (like he stated before)and earning a new customer the owner John completely brushed me off . Wow will just go to the dealership and pay a extra 20 and at least feel like I m getting my money s worth. Horrible customer service . Great holiday spirit!

I'm in the middle of a move and my van had all sorts of problems. John worked with me - passed his working hours - to get me back on the road. Above and beyond customer service. I highly recommend his shop for repair needs.

The owner, John was the person I dealt with. The first time I dealt with him, he seemed agitated and before I said anything, he put me on hold right away. I eventually paid him for his business. He fixed my Jeep for a week, then it started having the same problem. I should also mention I payed him for running a diagnostic test on the vehicle, which was about $100. Once my Jeep started having problems again, he said he would take another look at it, but that he would have to do another scan for a problem that should have been fixed the first time. I asked if I would have to pay for the second scan, then he told me I m not doing it for free then he just hung up the phone without letting me say anything afterwards. I called again later next week, and this time he told me I am not running a Salvation Army, we don t do business for free . Then I simply asked why I should have to pay for them trying to fix the same problem a second time, which he responded by hanging up again.I will give them credit, they did keep the Jeep at their shop while I figured out what to do with it. However, when I went to go get the Jeep for the last time, they left it uncharged, and I had to jump it.Overall, by far the worst experience I have had with an automotive business. Maybe I would understand if this attitude and anger came from an employee, but John, the owner himself. It was completely unprofessional, and rude.Service: Electrical repair

John was awesome! I thought something terrible was wrong with my car and he took the time to diagnose the problem and turns out I needed new tires. I asked what I owed and he said nothing, it was a quick diagnosis. Who does that these days?!??!?!!? And I took it that day and got new tires and noise is gone. I truly can't thank them enough. Customer for life!!

Traveling through and had a fuel leak. Josh and John were very friendly and did great job on getting us back on the road. There rates were very reasonable and they were very knowledgeable. I would recommend them to anyone.

The guys are nice and thorough with the work they do. I've visited a couple times now for my cat and John has been honest and fair with prices and explaining what was going on.

Worst auto shop ever. If there is a zero star I will give him. Super bad customer service. I took my truck to fix the engine and we agreed on a price. After 5 days of my truck parking in his lot with no work done on it, he calls me and blaming me that I told him the wrong engine size and he need to charge extra $400. And when I disagreed on that increase, he pushed the car to the street since he started disassembling the engine and wont start any more and told me to come pick it up. How an experienced mechanic does not know the engine size from looking at it and blame the customer on giving him wrong info???

My daughter is a student at Bradley and her car was making a noise. She took it to John's auto shop and he found the problem right away. I felt the price was fair. I am happy to have found an honest mechanic for my daughter while she is at school. Thanks John!

I have used John's Automotive for the last 6 years. I couldn't ask for a more honest and trustworthy mechanic. If you want cheap, go somewhere else, if you want the job done right and you want the shop to stand behind their work, this is your place. We have 5 cars in my family and that is the only place we take them.

On behalf of Paul Dillberg- My son is a student at Bradley and his car would not start. I contacted John's auto and explained I thought it might be the starter motor. He quoted me a price and I had the car towed to his shop. He knew I was in no position to examine the car and he could have quoted me for anything. But rather than rip me off, he chose honesty and integrity. I cannot recommend this man's shop highly enough. The next day, the car was ready for the exact price quoted.

Went to this mechanic throughout my time at Bradley for a number of misc. car troubles and they were honest saving me money more than once, as well as completing work for reasonable prices and on time. Can t recommend them enough.

Outstanding service. My car started showing the check engine light while I was visiting my girlfriend in Peoria and I visited John's shop on a Saturday morning. He worked hard to get me the parts I needed and help me get back home safely. Thanks!!

I took my truck to John this week for what I thought was something but John was able to locate the problem quickly and then fix my truck within the day. I really liked that John showed me the problem then after completing showed me the old AC compressor and how bad it really was. I would highly recommend John's Garage!

Very unprofessional scam artist at its finest. Don t give your money to this guy. He yelled at me outside the shop. The man said he could fix my car over the phone when I got there he said he wasn t going to fix it and he tried to charge me for doing absolutely nothing.
