He dropped what he was doing to take a look and give me a quick estimate (just needed a new muffler) - honest and very fair pricing. Had my vehicle in and done within an hour after making an appointment. Great weld job on new muffler, looks like a seamless job. Other places quoted up to $1100 for a complete system and all I needed was this one part. Aren't many shops like his around anymore - if you need exhaust work done, give him a visit!

If Dana can repair a faulty section of an exhaust, he'll repair it. He doesn't try to charge you for things you don't need just to make replacement easier on him. He gave me a two year warranty on his work, and he was very specific about keeping the original invoice for him to honor it.Dana will also tell you if the job is too involved or too complex. Many catalytic converters are now tucked so far up into the engine bay and really difficult to service. He told me that he would have sent me straight to the dealer if my converter was faulty due to its location. I appreciate that kind of honesty; he knows his limitations.It's really awesome that Dana is around; I would highly suggest American Muffler if you need work done. Custom exhausts on custom cars seem to be his bailiwick, and any interest in drag racing will fire him up and earn some really excellent stories.One of a kind guy who does great work at a fair price. Highly recommend.

My car was getting pretty loud and I figured it was the exhaust. Made an appointment for 7:30am. The man, I didn t get his name, got me right in, diagnosed it as a resonator issue, and repaired it within 30 minutes! I was out of there with a smile on my face by 8:05am. Highly recommend! I did not get my vehicle repaired here, so I cannot attest to that. However, I called asking about a vehicle repair that was quoted at $1200 at Midas. The mechanic who answered the phone was incredibly helpful and pointed me to another place that would be able to help me better. He said that it didn't necessarily need to be repaired until a thorough testing was done. It's rare to find genuinely honest people that aren't out there to steal your money. Thanks so much for you help. If I ever need work done, I will be going here first.

Girlfriend took my car in it to have the muffler looked as it was loud and rattling. He replaced a section that had a hole in it. When I got home I noticed that it was still just hanging there in the back. I took it back and he welded it up in the back, did not charged me anything due to the fact he should have seen it the day before. He comes across a little gruff, but does good work and I will take any muffler work there.

The Y pipe on my 93 Cadillac broke in two. I couldn't find a replacement. He welded it back together in 15 minutes for $30. We're going to miss places like this someday.

Excellent service great prices. Very friend. They have no problem telling what ur doing and pointing it out to you if you want. If you need any exhaust work done would definitely recommend going here.

I've been there twice in 6 years. Both times the old man insults whatever you drive as "not a real car" due to it not being some hulking American V8. He insults other customers to their face as well, makes jobs sound as if they're impossible all while claiming to "build cars". Has a beat up unfinished S10 on a shoddy home made frame in the shop for reference (it was there 6 years ago in the same condition). Won't be back.
