My husband and I purchased a pre-owned Atlas from Daniel. He was so easy to work with. Explained everything we needed to know about the Atlas. There was No pressure tactics used, we appreciated that! We took a test drive, left and came a few days later to purchase the Atlas...we were glad it was still available.Pricing was very fair, we did shop around. We are very Happy!

My experience here was outstanding. Jack Langefeld was our salesman and he was very thorough, upfront, fair, and willing to negotiate during the trade process. The managers were also friendly and pleasant to work with. I drove 3 1/2 hours to come to this dealership, and the trip was worth it. I d highly recommend coming here for your next vehicle.

I came in and spoke with Kyle and Jack about which cars I was interested in. They helped me find my Taos and even arranged for some customizations so it would be exactly what I wanted. The whole process took a week and they made sure I was totally comfortable and happy with my purchase before I drove away. Highly recommend for anyone searching for their dream car!

I cannot say enough good things about the team at Volkswagen Palatine. Brock was so great about making sure that we saw all of our options. We ended up purchasing a new vehicle that we never even considered, but ended up being a perfect match for our needs. They won me over with the fact that the owners are big dog lovers like myself. And now I have the perfect SUV for my pups. Kyle made sure we were having a great buying experience and even repaired a chip that we found in the windshield after our purchase. You have to appreciate that kind of commitment to Customer Service. Marianne at the front desk is super sweet and friendly. Dave in finance has such great stories to tell and knows his stuff. If you're reading this, brace yourself, because I think I've found an alternate universe, hiding in plain sight - right before our very eyes in Palatine, Il, where trade in values are significantly less than anywhere within a 30 minute drive and the condition of your car magically deteriorates as you enter this dimension. Here's the story, in bullet point form, of how I discovered this geographical anomaly. My wife and I have a Jeep that s paid off and has less than 5,000 miles on it so it doesn t make sense for me, a person who works from home and rarely leaves, to make a car payment. I received three offers to buy my car Carvana, Carmax, and City VW of Chicago all for $19k. This leaves me with about $9k in equity that I can put toward a cash payment for a higher mileage car that s in good condition. VW of Palatine has a Honda Pilot, which ended up being a total dog, but on paper met the criteria for what I was looking for. So, I went to take a look. Test drove the car it had obvious issues right out of the gate. Should have walked away but I thought I was dealing with reasonable people. Not true. The insanity started when they appraised my car. Took my keys, and kept them (this was a tactic, for sure), only to come back with an offer that was thousands lower than the $19k offers that I had already received. They defended their lowball by saying that my car would require significant reconditioning to be sellable but just the day before, VW of Chicago inspected the car, complimented me on how I ve cared for it, and said that they would just need to wash it and put it on the lot. Needless to say, I rejected their lowball offer. Salesman brought in a new negotiator the finance manager. He went straight to defending the offer. I stood firm, telling him I wouldn t accept a penny less than $19k. Then, he kept leaving and repeatedly coming back to say I m working for you I was able to find another $500 in your car, very slowly bringing up the trade value. I kept rejecting. I finally said if you re not willing to match the $19k, then I would expect the difference to be taken out of the purchase price. They flatly rejected, saying that the price was non-negotiable. Then, I told them that even if I were to buy the car, it would need to pass an inspection by an independent mechanic. This is where they finally grew frustrated with me. A new character was then brought in the dreaded sales manager. He said in order to have it inspected, I would need to sign a purchase agreement, prior to the inspection, that would lock me into buying the car, barring any major mechanical or safety issues that are found. He made it clear that minor defects, regardless of how many were found, would not get me out of buying the car. They also required a $1000 deposit, prior to inspection, because having a mechanic work on their vehicle poses a significant risk to them. Two things here I m sure this purchase agreement was extremely one sided and it would surely lock me into buying the car. I ve done enough business contract reviews to know that there was no way I was going to sign that thing. The deposit was another tactic to lock me in. There s minimal risk in having a qualified mechanic do a visual inspection of that car. There s way more risk in allowing me to do a test drive. This is why the dealership, the mechanic, and I all have insurance. I said no and they finally gave me my keys back and told me they were done negotiating.The best part is that after wasting over 3 hours of my time, I got two follow up emails within hours after leaving. These guys are clowns. If you re looking for a new VW, don t go here. If you re looking for an easy or respectful buying experience, don t go here. If you re not good at standing up for yourself, don t go here. If you work at VW of Palatine and you re reading this, don t contact me. I won t take the review down and I won t be coming back into your dealership ever.

Overall this was the best experience my wife and I have ever had buying a new vehicle. Everything from customer service to financing went as smooth as possible. I would highly recommend WAG Volkswagen of Palatine to everyone considering of buying a new car.

We bought a brand new 2023 Atlas Cross Sport from VW Palatine and had a such a wonderful experience from start to finish.Daniel L. was our sale consultant and was amazing! He had everything ready to show when we arrived - we were looking at two different Cross Sports and got us the very best deal. Daniel also surprised the kids with two adorable dog stuffies (they are tucked in bed with them tonight!)Josh C. the finance manager made my 5 year olds night when he got to pick some goodies from the vending machine.Dave G. the other finance manager who did our financing, worked to get us a fantastic price with the maintenance plan and extended warranty. He was so kind and patient.Daniel handed us the keys and walked us out and there was the car with a red bow - I started crying!Everything was seamless from start to finish. We were in and out the same evening with our new car and two kids in tow. No run around. Honest good people. This was our first VW purchase and will definitely be back! We are so excited and cannot wait to enjoy our new car!

The experience was good- not high pressure - a lot of the discussions were via text and email. We discussed what I wanted they found it, we discussed the economics and the deal was done. Delivery was fast and easy

Be careful with the additional coverages you buy from this dealership(VW palatine) and take an evidence while you are buying.I bought an used car here. After negotiation and finalized the price, they advertised me the additional coverage and extended warranty products. I purchased them on top of the car price because they said I can cancel anytime and it will be prorated. I decided to cancel after some days as i felt my car is not practical enough, and I went to meet sales team and they said me that you have signed "the sale is final and deal cannot be canceled". They said additional coverage is part of the deal and showed me you signed.The fact is that the papers I have for additional coverage says clearly that voluntary and it should not me made mandatory to buy the vehicle. I could not cancel extra coverage. With all these mess, I am living with the car I don't like.Also please be careful and call out the deal that does not include additional coverage that you buy.

This past Saturday I recently have purchased a brand new car with the help of Erik Cernas !!! He was amazing in giving me options and was very patient. He also speaks good in Spanish I had my parents come also and he made us feel comfortable and secure. We can officially say we would definitely come back for another vehicle especially if Erik is going to be helping us out again.

The salesman was kind and did not pressure me into buying. The manager I met the first night took the time to go over the mechanics of the car and brought out multiple cars for me to test drive ensuring that they were completely clean before I got in. I had great experience from the moment we were shown the cars we were interested to the test drive and all the way to signing papers. Erik was exceptional in showing us the car features and was very direct with financial information. Erik is the best car salesperson I have encountered. I didn t feel pressured or cornered into buying a car at the moment, yet the way he talked about the features of the car sold me right away. I recommend Erik to anyone, he is phenomenal.

Daniel was wonderful to work with. I really appreciated that he was not a typical sleazy car salesman and took time to explain all of my options and never tried to upsell. I did wind up one model higher than I thought I would buy but only because he did a good job explaining the features and cost difference and was not forceful. Yesterday I went to buy my very first car. Just from experience when I went with my dad to buy his truck I was somewhat expecting the service to rush you and pressure you too buy a vehicle, whereas here it was the complete opposite. Working with Erik was a pleasure to work with, from helping you with any questions you had to having a genuine and funny conversation with him. Unfortunately I forgot the name of the man who helped me with the finance paperwork but he was also very helpful and great to talk too. Overall my experience there was better than I expected and I couldn t have asked for better people to work with.

I NEEDED a wheel lock key to get at my tires because my personal one was smashed. I called so many auto shops and dealerships and nobody carried it except this dealership. The guy at the counter, wish I could remember his name just took me back out, opened the lock and sold me a key all within 5 minutes. If you guys ever read this DON'T ever stop carrying those keys. A massive headache was saved. Much appreciated!

If there was an option to give this lousy dealership zero stars, I would. I purchased my first car here (19' Jeep Cherokee) along with the warranty which in my understanding, is a promise from the dealership to take responsibility for repairing or replacing defective parts within a reasonable time frame. However, my experience with this dealership has been nothing short of frustrating. A month ago, my car completely died on me in the middle of the road. I had already replaced the battery twice in the past few months so I had no idea what the problem could be. Desperate for help, I called the dealership from which I bought my car, VW of Palatine (formerly VW of Mt Prospect) and explained the situation. I was shocked when the person on the other end told me that the soonest they could inspect my car was in one month - yes, an entire month! I couldn't believe it. I rely on my car daily to go to college and work and I needed it fixed as soon as possible. So in disbelief, I asked if there were any earlier available spots for inspection, explaining that my car was my only means of transportation. Unfortunately, I was informed that I had no choice but to wait a whole month just to have my car checked. I didn't want to risk driving my car and having it break down again in the middle of the road for an entire month. Considering that I rely on my car daily for college and work, this situation completely defeats the purpose of having a warranty with this dealership. The whole point of a warranty is to provide timely assistance to customers facing car issues. However, this dealership made me wait for an entire month, which is completely unacceptable. Feeling frustrated, I decided to reach out to the nearest Jeep dealer, Napleton's. To my relief, they agreed to inspect my car the next day and were able to fix the issue on the same day. This stark contrast in service between VW and Napleton's is unacceptable and outrageous. Waiting a few days or even a week for a car inspection is understandable but making customers wait for an entire month is simply shameful. After this experience, I immediately canceled my warranty with VW. It became clear to me that they would not meet my expectations in the future either. From now on, I will be taking my business elsewhere. I highly recommend avoiding this dealership if you have purchased a car and its warranty from them, especially if you ever encounter an issue that would require waiting for a month or longer for assistance.

I had an amazing experience buying my new car here! The overall team is awesome, emphasis on team! From Kyle finding me various options of what I was looking for, Greg explaining the new vehicle on our cruise, Dave in finance who was both helpful and a huge Cubs fan, everyone was great! Bought a VW Jetta 2021 SE back in 2021, fresh off the lot. This car has been paid off for quite some time now. It makes weird nosies, and nobody here can fix it... they also came to the conclusion that I have a "noisy car." I seem to keep getting pushed aside for my issue with this cheaply assembled vehicle... this concern has been brought up multiple times with no resolution. Buyer beware. Stay far, far away from the VW brand and this dealership. VW are cheap garbage cars that won't last you. You'll be very lucky if a VW lasts you 50,000 miles... you have better odds winning the Mega Million rather than owning a reliable VW car. Take this review as a cautionary warning.P.S. Dave in Finance has an EXTREMELY condescending attitude. If you look younger than your age, he'll talk to you like a teenager. I was going to buy an extended warranty on this joke of a car, but Dave's stuck-up attitude turned me off to it. Thank you, Dave, for saving me over 4k

He kept me informed through calls and texts on the delivery date for my car after placing the order which was much appreciated.
