First off I called a few months back about having them look at it and I believe it was Chris who I spoke to and I had a real sense of honesty on the phone fast forward months later .. I Brought my truck to Stephens Automotive and talked with Chris about issue I was having since it was my first time coming here. And off the bat I felt like my truck was in good hands he told me the issue and looked over the whole truck found other issues that weren t mentioned even at the dealer didn t notice.. so long story short Chris and his team were awesome I got my truck back as promised and Chris communicated with me about the status on my truck. So I will be back and will recommend all my family and friends to have their vehicle serviced here I m gladI finally found an honest shop that does quality work. So thank you guys you did an outstanding job keep up the good work.

Zeke at Stevens auto in palatine did a great job on my Mercedes 350ml. Bushings on control arm were bad and strut made noise. Chris showed me old parts so I understood the whole process. They have good employees there. The car rides like brand new now thanks

Took my car in for a noise it was making upon start-up. Several of Stephens mechanics looked and listened to it, but could not find a reason for it. The theory is the noise is caused by exhaust expansion when the car is started cold. The noise stops after the car warms up. Chris, who seems to be in charge, told me he will continue to research a cause for the noise.Stephens also did a routine inspection of the vehicle and found that my oil was over-filled. They checked for leaks, checked the suspension and tires.Stephens Automotive was thorough, and honest. On top of that, since they could not find anything wrong, they did not charge me for the service, even though I know they put a lot of time into it. My service experience was a good one.I recommend Stephens Automotive in Palatine, IL.

My experience here was phenomenal! I felt I could trust the mechanics and didn't ever feel like I was being taken advantage of. I was offered a ride home after dropping off my vehicle, and they arranged for pickup once the maintenance was done as well! The customer service is the best I've come across and the my vehicle is running better than ever. I definitely plan on becoming a regular at Stephens Automotive.

When I described my problem on the first call to Chris, he was familiar with the issue because of the history of the make and model. He was also aware of the manufacturer issued Technical Service Bulletin on a ten year old car! It's this kind of experience and industry knowledge that let me know Stephens Automotive was the shop to service my car. They performed extensive testing to confirm the problem and made the repairs in the time promised and at the cost quoted. I'm very satisfied and will be a repeat customer as my car needs maintenance or repairs

I got an estimate for front and rear brakes and battery from the Chevy dealer where l received my oil change, wanted another estimate so l brought it to Stephens. Ended up difference between was about 100 dollars less than dealer however l dropped my car off at 845am and got it back at 4pm. I was told it would be a few hours. Next time l will stay with the Chevy dealership.

If you are looking for Honest & Qualify Autoshop, look no further.my girlfriend (now wife) have been using them since 2014 or longer.I have total trust in what they, advise to do. Of course this takes time. Stephens automotive has always been professional. They treat you with respect. They are also very thorough when you bring in your car notifying you of any issues your car may have. Their prices are reasonable and they always provide you with quality products and service. They are timely as well - servicing your car as quickly as possible. Chris and his team went out of their way to help me when my car's battery died in a parking garage late in a busy afternoon near closing time. It turned out to be more than a dead battery and somehow they were able to drive it back to their shop to be fixed. I really appreciated their service and going above and beyond for me.

Had a great experience here, reasonable pricing, and quick service. They even offered me a ride home and a beverage when i dropped off my car!!! I've never been to a mechanic that offered that before. They also did a great job on my car, there was quite a few fixes that need to be done and they did it all.

When the local repair shop I had been using for years recently changed hands, I decided to give Stephen's a try. I had dealt with Joe and Chris previously when helping a friend get a car serviced, and they were terrific. I could tell very quickly that this was the kind of shop I would want to do business with. I brought in a 15 year old car that needed a lot of attention. Going in, I was hoping just to get a couple more years out of that car. By the time the folks at Stephen's got done with it, it drove like a brand new car! They could have easily tried to upsell me on a lot of unnecessary work, but they didn't do that. I had the opportunity to speak with Eric, the service technician after the repairs were done. Eric saved all the old parts, showed me where they had failed, and explained all of the repairs. He was even able to fix an issue with the tire pressure monitoring system that two other shops were unable to repair - and at no charge!Stephen's Automotive is old school, and I mean that in the most complimentary way. They are honest people that do great work at a fair price. Have had Toyotas for years. Used Stephens automotive before but moved and it wasn t as convenient to drop my car off. Made the decision to go back because of there professionalism, clear explanation of what needed to be done, and felt confident my car had the maintenance done that was needed,especially going into winter. I ve been bringing my 2 cars to Stephens Automotive since May of this year after being disappointed with my previous shop. I ve found Chris the service writer to be very upfront and honest with me when they have my vehicles in the shop for repair. Awesome shop! Everyone is super friendly. Service is fast and accurate. Everything is always fixed once I leave and they don't try to sell you anything you don't need. My dad used to come here all the time, and now I do too. Love this shop.

Exceptionally helpful.I had an unexpected problem with my vehicle, which I use for work. Jeff was very helpful organizing all the parts of getting my vehicle towed, picking me up, and helping with alternate transportation. Shortly after my initial call, a gentleman came by and was able to jump my vehicle so I could drive it. Jeff calmly accepted the change in what I needed. I drove to their location and they were able to confirm that the only issue was the battery, but also found another issue which they fixed on the same day. They did provide a loaner, even on such short notice. Everyone I dealt with was well informed about my particular situation, friendly and professional. I will be returning for future service needs.

I had the pleasure of dealing with Chris to get brakes done on my Tundra. I also had Stephen s automotive do all the necessary fluid changes as well. Very professional service, great communication, and great prices. I had told them about a failed brake light and they told me they were aware of the situation and had already replaced the bulb free of charge. I would not take my vehicle anywhere else. They don t overcharge and they don t try to upsell any unnecessary services.

Afraid of taking my classic BMW back to the "stealership" when an intense and mysterious vibration developed, I opted to take it to Stephens Automotive. The technicians at Stephens not only work fast, reliably, and professionally, but are also very personable. When finished with my repairs the technician took the time to show me exactly what part had failed, how, and explained the affect it had on my car in words anyone could understand. I knew exactly what I was paying for and that's the kind of service I'm happy to pay for. Worked with Chris. Extremely nice and informative guy. I had multiple issues with my car and expected to have to drop it off and leave it for many days. Chris got me in and out on the same day. My old car feels new again. I would HIGHLY recommend Stephens Automotive. Very satisfied and impressed.

I cannot express how wonderful the service is here. Chris and his staff are amazing at what they do!!!!Keeping in short and sweet, we have brought both of our vehicles here for very different reasons (and at different times). Unfortunately, both events were not "quick fixes", but Chris and his crew did their best to get each vehicle back to us in a timely manor.Chris has always been straight-forward in discussing the needs, and providing recommendations on what should be done. Auto repairs are know for unexpected costs, and this crew is very reasonable. And their level of service is fantastic!I'd say, can't wait to see you again, but I'm not really hoping to see you anytime soon. Though if something should come up, you guys are first on our list ;)Thank you Chris and Crew, for your service!!!

Finding an honest auto mechanic scares most people. I took my car to other places that wanted to charge me for services I did not need and way more for the actual job I wanted done. Stephens patiently explained to me what was the matter with my car and gave me the best price. On top of that, they were very fast and do a great job communicating with you on the status of the job. It s nice to know there is a local car shop you can trust. I will definitely be going straight to Stephens next time I have a car issue.Services: Electrical repair, Auto engine tuning

Can t say enough about Chris and the crew at Stephens Automotive. Had a bad oil leak. After a long thorough inspection they were able to diagnose the exact spot the leak was coming from. They fixed it, road tested it and had it back to me in 4 days. Chis kept me updated throughout the whole process. Kudos to all the guys at Stephens. Very professional. If you want service with a smile take your vehicle to Stephens Automotive.

Took my sons car to Stephens Automotive for a check up as it has 107k miles on it. They found a few issues that were quickly fixable and alerted us to a potential issue with the transmission that we are monitoring. Their prices are so reasonable and fair and the work is quick and exceptional. I have been going to Stephens Automotive for over 15 years now and highly recommend them. Chris and Joe are the best to work with.

A good place to take your vehicle for repair. From automobiles to vans and buses, they repair. Friendly service and reasonable. They look like a small place, but they re not small by any means. They have eight bays to handle lots of vehicles. Again, beside autos they work on school buses, small bus type vehicles, and vans. Tap on the thumbs up below before you leave.
