Had issues with my breaks called last minute to see if they would fix. They were very welcoming and very nice. Brian, ociel, greg and Evan stayed a half hour after the store closed to fix my breaks. If your looking for amazing service and affordable prices mavis in palatine is the place to go!!!

Mavis in Palatine is great! Easy to schedule appointments, very helpful, and the service has been quick. Having been here for a previous tire repair, they were my first call when there was another nail in my tire!

I called ahead of time to see how much it would be to change out my battery ( I brought in my own). Dude over the phone said $44 I also mentioned my battery is located inside my car he said okay no problem. The guy who changed it was great no issues. I get to the front to pay and he said $79! I told him I was told $44 he s like oh I m sorry I m new and I wasn t aware there is a price difference if your battery is located inside the car. Uh okay, I get you are new but i brought it here because of the price. So I have him get his manager and the manager (older guy) could have been the owner lied directly to my face. He told me he s the one who told me $79 over the phone. I informed him his employee just admitted to telling me the wrong information. He s like well I spoke to you and told you $79. No you didn t sir. I told him I m only paying what I was told and he finally said okay. So I paid $45 tipped the guy who installed it and left. I was the 3rd person complaining about pricing issues since being in the store.

Routine maintenance for our cars is something that we should be proactive about. I came in for a full synthetic oil change and tire rotation. The manager Brian politely warned me that I needed brake pads (which is something I didn't come in for) I looked at my rear pads and sure enough, they were almost gone! Thanks for letting me know. Great service - fair price - timely and professional. Thanks!

I stopped in without an appointment while driving by because my car was making awful sounds and they took me in right away. I live out of state and needed it fixed asap before I had to drive home. They were very professional, friendly and reasonable priced. I highly recommend this place!

The Store Manager BRIAN was very professional and accommodating with helping with a excellent deal on my tires, along with the OCIEL .THEY WERE VERY EFFICIENT. GOT EVERYTHING DONE IN A REASONABLE TIME FRAME. I AM VERY SATISFIED WITH THE CUSTOMER SERVICE THAT I RECEIVED. I WILL DEFINITELY RECOMMEND FAMILY AND FRIENDS TO MAVIS TIRES AND BRAKES!!

Brian & team are are always helpful and honest. We've had our cars serviced at this location a few times and if there's going to be a wait, they're great about letting you know how quickly they can get to your car. Good value for the $ too.

I will never spend my money here again. They have a blatant racial bias. I came in four a new tire. The prices was great so I decided to purchase two. The manager told me it would be a 30min wait until my car was serviced. Two hours later I still haven t been brought in. When I tried to speak to the manager and voice my concerns he blew me off and treated me horribly. Long story short they don t value black dollars as much as others.

Brian (store manager) has a Horrible attitude just like the front desk old-timer he s trying to get you to spend more money than what you there for (tires) and after the tires install the cars front end shakes because they didn t do a proper balance but got charged for. I had to go to a different Mavis location to check and to find out that they didn t do the balancing properly that s why my steering wheel was shaking violently (probably cuz I didn t want to spend more money on what they were saying they think I need to fix or replace). Beware of this shop and definitely not recommend it

Great service, top quality work. Ociel gave me some personalized suggestions for which new tires would be best for my vehicle, what not to buy, and kindly work late to fit my busy schedule. I m all about the customer service this place provides it 100%.

Sucks that I got the warranty at this place when I bought my tires. Waited over an hour to get a flat fixed and tires rotated with 3 guys in the back and no one waiting but me. What a damn joke this place is. I recommend not to come after the big bosses have already left. They leave this place with kids in charge pretty much. All on their phones and wasting company time.

Highly upset with the front desk manager Brian. We ve been coming here for three years and had a great experience until him. Every time we come in here he just isn t happy. Doesn t say good morning or hi just stares at you until you tell him what your problem is. One comment says it s because he s trying to get more money out of you.. let me tell you it s exactly what it feels like now. Before they helped you and educated you. Now this guy just grabs your keys and barely asks what s you need. Mark helped me in the past and was great.Again, we came in with our Lexus and they messed up the rim and Brian said it was our problem that it was scratched up after the kid fixing the car said it was his fault.Brian didn t offer anything to us and just to call customer service.Save your time and money and check out a different Mavs.

I cannot thank the staff and mechanic enough for taking care of my van in a crucial circumstance.I had a bad brake wire causing the parking brake engaged without knowing it. After driving around here trying to buy some tools to work on my own, I went to here and ask for advice. The lady from the front desk INSISTED I should bring the van in even though they are about to close...The price and service are solid that I would not complain or doubt having them practice their professional!

Was here yesterday and had the front tires replaced on my bmw, after picking up car from service the next day I found the front alloy wheel damaged. The front rim was damaged with many scratches due to the process of installing the wheels. Highly do not recommend going to them. They don't know how to change wheels. Bad service, never come again!!!

Bought tires and paid for wheel balancing. Seemed to not drive smoothly so had my mechanic check it out when due for 7000 mile rotation. He confirmed they were not balanced correctly and I had my mechanic fix since I no longer trust Mavis in Palatine IL. Plus they were terrible to deal with when I got new tires. Lousy customer service. I should have walked out when I was displeased with the terrible service!!

Excellent service I had a a nail in my work truck tire. I decided to go to mavis because it was close to my house our company runs thru lease plan so wasn t sure who took it. Look thru the app and found mavis tires came here was helped right from the door. I had my truck tire repaired in less then 30mins and they take lease plan so if anybody needs a good shop and has fleet trucks and that is quick and very helpful definitely go here. All the guys were helpful quick and very knowledgeable on what was best for my truck.

I came in to get a quote on tires, and couldn t beat the prices they gave so i bought a set of tires. Their service was outstanding and had me in out. Ociel and the rest of the team there is always on their a game. I would definitely come back for more service.

NTB was amazing so when Mavis took over their location I decided to give them a shot. They replaced 4 tires and a battery for me. Well come to find out not even 2 years later that they gave me the worst quality products AND placed them in my car incorrectly. They quite literally zip tied my battery into my car. Obviously they didn t tell me anything that they did wrong I had to find out on my own later. Anyways I do not recommend coming here there are WAY better options out there. Save yourself the hassle.

Had a nail picked up on brand new tire and unfortunately on a Sunday morning. Mavis was really the only ones opened. I ran over there. The staff was nice but I think it was a struggle watching the guys work on my tire. I have had tires repaired before but I wasn't confidentially in this one.Anyway, woke up to a flat tire so now I need to have it repaired close to home since I need to get to work. I guess lesson learned.

Great service always trustworthy with my wheels for mounting and balancing!Took my spare to Ociel and he helped me out to pump it up and seal it with no charge! Awesome customer service. Highly recommend this place and Ociel!

Honestly very impressed with the quality of work Anthony has done on my car by not scratching my rims and installing my black lug nuts to not get any possible scratches on my brand new rims and balancing my tires. Amazing people and I d like to say a special thanks to Jaden and Vell. Thank you so much for all your work you guys do! Definitely will come back. Had many bad experiences in many shops but they were honest and took time to do quality job. Again truly appreciate it!

Put wrong size tires on my car. I brought it back the next day, the manager had the audacity to charge me for the difference. This is a tire place!Waited hours for both tire changes, no apology, just asked for more money. Would not recommend unless you re ready to do your own inspection after you get it.Tires were also $15 more per vs Walmart, went here for convenience but will not return.

So this at first seemed pretty simple to me. Noticed my brake pads were making a lot of noise at the rear axle and then saw they were pretty low. So I called Mavis Tires and Brakes in palatine. Thought I only needed pads but thought it was possible I might need rotors too. Dropped my car off and already could feel that it was not a good atmosphere to be in. The guy at the front counter asked for my info to call me back when they could tell me exactly what was needed. Was at the store and got a call telling me that not only were my brake pads bad but the rotors were bad along with the calibers being seized. And that I was constantly driving with them locked. I thought this was crazy. Not only that, they wanted to charge me $850!!! for the job and I said I have to come and take a look to see what s up and I did. Apparently they told me they gave me the discounted price because normally it would be $1,100 ! What a joke. So he took me back to see the car on the lift and yes the rotors were locked. The wheels could not be turned. But here is the kicker. THEY COULDN'T EVEN PUT MY CAR PROPERLY ON THE LIFT!!!! THEY WERE CRUSHING THE LEFT SIDE OF MY ROCKER PANEL. I told the guy this was unacceptable and he just kept denying me and saying it will pop out no!!! If you can t put a car on a lift the correct way then you WILL NEVER SEE MY BUSINESS HERE. The guy had attitude and put me over the edge. This single trim price OEM would cost me 700 DOLLARS JUST FOR THE PART. They didn t offer me any compensation and I GOT THE HELL OUT OF THERE. Went to a wheeling Just Tires shop and they did a great job. Fun people brought the car in and they got the whole job done in under 2 hours. For 300 HUNDRED DOLLARS LESS!!! DON T GO TO THIS PLACE!!! I WISH I WOULD HAVE READ THE REVIEWS!!!

seems like someone closes their eyes and draws names out of a hat to decide management here. i think the girl is gone to a different location, but her replacement seems to be just as dense. mechanics seem fine, but truly an ounce of customer service knowledge and training from those that are supposed to be running the place would be super valuable! honestly mavis itself seems to have a staffing issue considering every. single. location. i have been to has been an absolute disaster, but the disrespect and attitude i was given during this stop in will 1000% be the reason i bever come back. the midas next door was a 10/10, the obvious better choice between the two.don t waste your money or time here.
