I love going here! Typically, I don't like going to even get an oil change without my husband present to verify I'm not overpaying, etc. But at El Patron, they are very welcoming and trustworthy. You can tell everyone who works there makes it a point to do a quality job with great customer service. I feel so welcome when I go that I don't even feel the need to bring my husband any more. And the employees recognize me as soon as I come in, which is always nice. Very professional and fair prices. Highly recommend.

Fantastic service! Thought I was having trouble with my muffler and battery, I definitely was. They replaced both at a great price and super fast. I was in an out, less than an hour. Highly recommend. The owner was super nice, explained and showed me everything wrong. Ton of respect! Thank you, El Patron!

I would highly recommend! I had taken my car to the dealer for an oil change and walked away feeling my car could break down on me at any moment. The amount they quoted me to fix everything was more than 3X what my car was worth, I'd rather get a new car instead, but that was not what I could afford or wanted to do at this time. Luckily I was told about El Patron and I believe I have finally found a place and people I can trust to bring my car to. I was told and personally shown, what they saw as being my car's current issues, not everything the dealer told me was a must do, my car is solid. I fixed one of the most pressing issues for about a fraction of the price the dealer had quoted me. If you have a quote from a dealer, you owe it to yourself to get a second opinion with El Patron! Even is you are just looking for a garage to bring your car for regular maintenance, look no further. I plan on coming here going forward! They are the Best!

My car started making some minor rattling noise once in a while. I don't like to go to those dealership or the chain muffler stores since most of the time they don't do repair but only do complete replacement. I found El Patron Auto Service and Mufflers from Google, and called them to explain my situation. Marcelo told me to bring the car in for a check, and he found out the aluminum plate above muffler was broken loose. He fixed it in no time. My car is very old but has brand new tires and brakes, so he looked into the suspension which was indeed too old and could damage the tires. I feel he is very sincere and honest, so I decided to invest a little more money to my good old car. Both the works and price are excellent. I definitely will come back to this shop for my future car maintenance and repairs.Services: Exhaust, Steering & suspension repair

the staff was really helpful!! I was really anxious about the state of my car but everyone was understanding and the repair took hardly any time at all!! they even provided a quote for me for a separate issue that I mentioned I wouldn't be able to address the day of my visit :)Will definitely be coming back for future needs!

I prefer to work on my own car to guarantee it s done properly but this time I had an exhaust system that needed to be done. I was hesitant to take it to a shop but Marcelo and his team knew what they were doing. Friendly and knowledgeable! The price was perfect and I left with a smile on my face. I would highly recommend! These guys are genuinely the best, not only is their work great they are extremely nice people and can help you figure out what you want out of your exhaust, and whatever else you need. They are also very honest and kept me up to date when waiting on my car.

Getting one's car repaired can be a very stressful situation but not with El Patron Auto. Their prices are more than reasonable and the owner Marcelo really tries to figure out the best way to fix your car at the lowest possible cost. On top of that, he is easy to work with and a genuinely nice guy too. Unlike many repair shops that act like their doing you a favor when you bring your business to them and then do everything to get as much of your money as possible, Marcelo actually is grateful that you came to him. I feel like I have a trusted friend or relative who is watching my back and providing the best work in the process. The shop hasn't been around that long but I predict that he will be very successful and I for one will be going only there from now on. And I should point out that I have to go out of my way to get there and pass at least 20 repairs shops along the way depending which way Google maps takes me.

Omg! Where do I start. This place is simply amazing, staff is very professional, waiting room is very clean and service done on my truck was superb. I woke up and called this shop to inquire about my muffler that was Loud as thunder. Stuart answered the phone and advised I could come in same day approximately an hour later to have it looked at. Of course they heard me pulling up so once I walked in I was immediately greeted by Marcello (owner I believe) who was so polite and friendly but ready to take action on resolving my issue. He immediately pulled it in in the back and within minutes got on the phone looking for the parts I required. I informed him it was a hard part to find unless you spend a fortune at the dealership. He was persistent that I needed not to worry and he could get it repaired same day. Marcello s expertise and quick thinking came to a solution that we would use a standard muffler and modify it to fit my car. He assured me it would only take about 45 minutes and I would be on my way. Marcello also sent me pictures of the old muffler since customers are not allowed in the back for safety reasons. Once completed he sent me a pic of the new muffler installed. I ve never been to an auto shop where I felt heard and appreciated being a female. Not to mention I payed 80.00 less than what I was previous quoted by another shop. I advised him of the price difference and Marcello said it didn t matter I would only have to pay what he quoted me. I noticed a rattling noise towards the front of my car, took it to a shop close to my home, and was told it was the transmission of my car. I decided to look for a second opinion and went to El Patron Autoservice and Mufflers in Palatine. In less than 30 minutes Marcelo was able to diagnose the car and told me the issue had nothing to do with the car s transmission, but it was a broken flex pipe instead. Not only did they replaced the flex pipe in a timely manner, but they also showed me pictures of the work that was done. Since then, I only take my car to El Patron Autoservice and Mufflers. They are honest, financially reasonable, helpful, and they take their time to explain to you the issues with your car and how to prevent them in the future. I recommend them 100%.

It is the second time that I take my truck to this car service and it is a pleasure the confidence they give when explaining the problems of the truck to me,they let me know the price of each part,plus the price for the labor being a reasonable price compared to other auto shops!they even give you a guarantee for parts and labor which is awesome ! Fantastic service! Came in for the first time, and I will definitely be a repeat customer. Marcelo showed me what was wrong with my car, gave me options of what I can or should do, and then they fixed it on the spot, even going the extra mile to try to prevent the same issues from happening again for a long while. This shop is amazing! We were stuck on the ramp at Rt 53 & Lake Cook Rd in Palatine because a portion of our exhaust system fell off in such a way that the car couldn t be driven. I did a google search of nearby places. After calling MANY garages and tow trucks, I found El Patron. I told him what happened and he sent one of his guys out. Within 10 minutes Rafael came out in his own car, crawled under our car, tied up the resonator so we could drive it, and then we followed him back to El Patron. They fixed the car immediately for less than $200. This day could have easily cost me hundreds with a tow truck and then a garage that would have insisted on replacing the entire exhaust system. El Patron fixed just what needed to be fixed at such a reasonable price and they were so honest and trustworthy. We live about an hour away but I will be going back there with mine, my husband s, and my son s car. They do everything at this shop and I am so glad to have found them!! I have told my family, friends and neighbors to take their car there. I m so glad I have finally found a garage I can trust!

Came in today for resonator delete and they did it quick no problem. Service was great. Owner is extremely nice to his customers. They gave me a 1 year warranty on the parts and service. They even gave me back my resonators, which the shops I went to never gave back parts. If you re looking to get something done, this is shop

The Pros at El Patron Auto Service and mufflers are my new one stop shop for all my auto service needs. After researching for automotive shops I came across El Patron Auto Service and mufflers based on customer reviews I made the drive and brought in my 18 + year Honda Cr-v for an estimate. Besides offering professional quality service to all their customers even their new ones without appointments. They took the time to address my concerns and explained the process to the parts and repairs. Marcelo the owner had gone above and beyond and advocated for his customers and found the best price for replacement parts to get me rolling again. The waiting room was by far the cleanest I ve been in. Over all even though I don t live in the area it was worth the drive to Palatine to have my Honda repaired. I went there about a month ago after my flex pipe snapped off. I was in need of something affordable after I was quoted almost 4k at the dealership. They showed me the issue with my car, quoted me WAY WAY LESS AND I was out in 20 minutes. They were very professional, affordable and I will definitely do business with them again. Took my car in this morning it was making a god awful noise from underneath! They did a fantastic job and didn t over charge. I have an older car and they treated it like it was new! I had a hole in my flex pipe which was causing a loud noise when accelerating and Marcelo did a quick check up and got it repaired in an hour with a fair price. They are very professional and knowledgeable. I will definitely be coming back here for all my car issues in the future. Highly recommended.
