Liz & Chris were so cool and nice. Bought a new battery for my Caddy and Chris installed it within 5-8 minutes (super fast to say the least) and Liz the manager could not be more professional. The old school way that you don't see anymore. Quick...honest...price was great. Would highly highly recommend this Advance Auto Parts to everyone.

Great service. Enjoyable experience too to bottom. Knowledgeable people working behind the counter and the gentleman who installed my battery was very kind and knew his stuff. I plan to make future purchases at this store and location. Highly recommend visiting here rather than taking basic issues to the dealership.

After experiencing sub-par customer service at AutoZone down the road to remove/test a car battery (they denied the service saying it was "too complicated" before even attempting), I decided to try Advance Auto Parts down the street. Worked with Alex T who was more than helpful/knowledgeable. He was the only one in the store at the time and managed to remove my car battery for testing, suggested a new fairly priced replacement, installed said new battery and ran a code test for a prior Check Engine Light warning all while being rained on might I add - and still managing to help other customers waiting in line. Was extremely helpful/educational and even recommended his preferred Palatine auto-body shop for future repairs. Big love to Alex T - I am a proud Advance Auto Parts customer for LIFE.

The troll working behind the counter was completely useless! Unable or unwilling to explain the difference between the Bosch FS22 & 22A wipers. While I am loathe to take anyone away from their screen time I believe a customer should be helped when asking for assistance. An attitude of being annoyed by customers walking though the door is completely unacceptable. We all know how hard it is to find good help but if you really want to know how low Advanced Auto Parts has has to go to get to the bottom of the proverbial barrel, stop in this store. I don't recommend this store for your automotive needs.

Sarah H did such a good job making me feel comfortable as a consumer. I didn't know how to check my tires for air loss or fill them up. She introduced me to a machine that gives the PSI and fill the tires for you. My tire was basically on a flat. I appreciate my concern being important enough for her to assist me. Great Customer Service Have a great day team!

So my car battery went cold on me and I called a few different auto shops in desperate need of help and advice. Of all the places I called, Advanced Auto was the most informative and well priced. I spoke to Ed, the store manager, and he told me that Volkswagens can be tricky with the whole anti theft computer system and that there s a risk of getting locked out without advanced computer systems. But after looking it up online, it seemed my model wasn t at a high risk of that and seeing as how Ed was so helpful, I ended up driving straight to his store after getting a jump. He was super busy but man, he works quickly but at the same time, very carefully. His professionalism and courtesy was unmatched. At one point, the store got so busy that he had to step away from my car for a few minutes but he was so nice about it that I didn t mind waiting at all. He came back and finished the job up with zero issues. He took the time to show me all the results of the follow up tests and made sure I was comfortable before leaving. At least I know where I ll be coming from now on without a doubt!

I stopped in for a snow brush/scraper. There was a very small selection which wasn't an issue. I picked a scraper which was listed at $4.99 but when i got my receipt, I was being charged more than that. When I questioned, the employee rudely responded " it's because of inflation and I had to deal with it." I returned the scraper and will not be bringing my business to this auto store again.

Needed a battery and found it on the website. I called the store just in case given these challenging times with the pandemic. Jim was very informative and gave good guidance on the ordering and pickup process. Since the battery is an exact fit for my car, they installed it for me. Very professional and very safe.

If you are customer here, then you are a nuisance. Staff is very busy stocking shelves and doing other important inventory related things. Get your stuff without bothering these cranky folks and get out of this store quickly. They have things to do and greeting or acknowledging a customer is not one of them.

Needed my car battery checked.. employee checked it and it came back okay . He cleaned corrosion off the battery and sent me on my way - no charge! Very trustworthy and honest.

I have had mixed experiences with customer service at this location in the past. However, Ed was super helpful, personable, and motivated. Because of Eds personalized service we will definitely be coming to Advanced Auto Parts for our auto needs in the future.

My wife and I were on a business trip last weekend when our GMC Yukon XL Denali battery died.I called Advance auto Palatine and a young man, Steven, answered. I told him the situation and he personally came out and jumped us with his personal car. I was so amazed at this gesture, I returned to his Advanced Auto shop where Steven, on his lunch break, enthusiastically assisted us once more.Uncompromising service in a time where we need more Stevens!Just unbelievable!Tom and Joy O Connor

5.0 star rating 10/3/2017FANTASTIC customer service from staff.I called the store and Ed arranged for the battery that I needed to come from another store. It arrived same day as he promised...it was actually just a couple of hours.He wanted me to order it online and then come in to pick it up so that I could use the 20% web discount that was available. The website wouldn't show the item as being in stock even though he'd put it in his stores inventory.He called customer service so we could place an order there, but it wasn't in their system either. Some backend glitch.I told him it was OK and I'd pay regular retail rate without the coupon but he insisted and just cut the discount at the register as if I had a paper coupon.Now, I know this MAYBE doesn't sound THAT amazing...but then I think about how few people and companies make that kind of effort these days. Not many! Most places would just make excuses and say take it or leave it.It's too bad that this kind of service isn't standard anymore.Good job Ed and AAP 4051.

Trying to return two defective rotors, that have two years warranty.The manager at this location that is from india or pakistan not sure exactly. That has no degree in automotive repair. Will examine your rotor with his eye's and tell you that. He don't find visible symptoms of your rotor being univen or out of balance, and that he will not exchange them or return them. Even when you tell him that when your press the brake pedal its pulsating at speeds of 10 to 55 miles per hour when trying to brake. As you can imagine the conversation is a lot longer. Short story he started tell me that his policy dose not allow him to return defective parts if they are not detective. I offered him to come to independent shop to place the rotors on machine to check how univen and unbalance they are. I even offer to pay for that service. Its was a nightmare to deal with that guy. I spend a lot of money at advance auto parts. If is so hard to return items when they are detective at advance. My business will go to the competition witch will be happy to take my business and i am sure provide better experience. Sorry for the grammar mistakes. New rotors fixed the pulsating brake pedal. The car is back to stopping safely as it should.

I've been reluctant to try the "new guy" in town, I'm loyal that way, but I had to forced to come down here. Workers were personable, knowledgeable, and had what I needed. It was nice to be treated like a human. Keep up the good work and I'll come back.

Looked all over for Zerex G05 antifreeze and they had it in stock. Like how you can order on line and use Paypal. 25%off coupon was nice too.

i placed an online order but somehow the agent on the phone made a mistake. While i was at the store i called the Phone agent to sort this out, i asked the people at the store if they can give me the online price since i already placed the order, they didnt.

NOT DOG FRIENDLY!! Eric D., who claimed to be the manager, kicked me and my dog out. Maybe he had a bad experience when he was little with little fluffy white dogs.
