I wasn't going to give this company a review but after they're little stunt they just pulled they deserve one so here it is. I called this company for a problem with my rv at the KOA in La Salle,IL. Weds. 09/02/2020 at 7:58am and explained my situation and was told by dispatch that the driver was just about done with the call out he was on and then he'd be on his way. 2hrs. no driver so at 10:06am I called again and was told that the driver was finishing up some paperwork and would be out. Waited another 2hrs. so at 12:08pm I called again to check on the drivers status and was again told that the driver was finishing up some paperwork and then he'd be out. Waited another 2hrs. still no driver so at 1:52 I called another towing company (Convoy Automotive) and told them about my problem and they said they'd have a driver there in 20 min so at 1:56pm after waiting 6hrs. for this company to show up I called and cancelled and was told the driver was on his way there and I told them if he really is on his way which I doubt because they've been telling me that for 6hrs to turn him around because he's not needed and then I was told that that's ok they'll bill me and I told them they weren't going to bill because they've been jacking me around and lying to me for 6hrs. and they did bill me. They charged my credit card $390 because I got tired of waiting and calling for 6hrs so I guess it's ok to make someone wait for hrs like they did me and I heard that they left an 87 yr old lady sitting along side the freeway for 4hrs. that this driver had to go rescue. I wonder if they billed her as well for her wait time. I had that charge cancelled by my bank. Convoy just as promised was there in 20 min and had my problem resolved in about 15 min and only charged me the min. call out fee of $95 That's an Up Standing Company. I'll pay a towing company to come from 500 miles away to help me before I'll call this company again. P.S. So this morning Sat. 09/05/2020 my wife calls and talks to the company mgr to dispute the $390 charge on our credit card and the he was a RUDE A..HOLE! First off he lied to her and said that I cancelled after they showed up. Then he lied to her again when she asked him for a copy of the invoice and he said they gave me a copy when they were there. I never got in invoice because that didn't happen because they never showed up and Linda the mgr of the KOA never seen any other towing company show up the except Convoy. Period! So DO NOT Give them your CREDIT CARD NUMBER TO HAVE ON FILE LIKE THEY'LL ASK YOU TO DO LIKE I DID THINKING THEY WERE A LEGIMATE COMPANY BECAUSE THEY'LL LEAVE YOU SIT FOR HRS. AND WHEN YOU' VE FINALLY HAD ENOUGH AND CANCEL THEY'LL CHARGE YOUR CARD! THEY HAVE A HABIT OF DO THIS WE' VE FOUND OUT! RESEARCH THIS COMPANY FIRST! THERE'S BEEN 21 COMPLAINTS AGAINST THIS COMPANY PLUS THEY HAVE AN F RATING WITH THE BBB. STEER CLEAR OF THIS SCAMMING COMPANY!

Jonny's left us out in the cold with my five-year old son for almost four hours and repeatedly lied to us. Do not use this "service". They do not deserve even one star, but, sadly, I cannot leave negative stars.We broke down on the highway and called for assistance at about 5:30 pm. We told them where we were and the only information they asked for was the driver's name. They said it would be about one to one and a half hours. We agreed and waited about two hours without seeing any sign of them before calling back. At first, they cut me off, told me to wait a second, then hung up on me. I wasn't sure if this was a mistake or on purpose. We called back a moment later, only to be told they would be there in an hour. My friend called as well, and they told her 30 minutes. We waited another hour, still with no sign of them. We gave up and called The Auto Clinic at around 8:00 pm. The Auto Clinic asked for a decent amount of information and said they would be out in 20-30 minutes. They showed up in 15-20 minutes and had the vehicle ready to go very quickly. The Auto Clinic driver was very nice and helpful, as opposed to the complete lack of service from Jonny's.

There 2 hour minimum turns into 4 hours. They use Google to advertise but not for GPS to find you. 1 hour of charge for them being lost. I gave address when I first called. Then at 4:15 they billed till 5:30. Now I drive slow and was passing there shop before 5. They must drive really slow. They did a fine job extracting my overweight truck. Stuck on a flat road. Just the billing practice I don't agree with. Paid the $ $2500. Lesson learned do not use first on Google list.

Terrible. Never again. Called at 11:25 am and told the driver would call me back in a few minutes. Dispatcher said tow was 85.oo. I called the office again at noon because I never heard from the driver. The driver called a few minutes later and said he was in the next town over and would be there in a little bit and I was next. So at 1:15 no sign of him. Called office and they said he is on his way that he would be there in 15 mins. Another hour passed and I called the office again. I was told he was turning down the street. I said he isn't turning on the street as the street is small and I am standing outside. The driver calls a minute later and said he had to gas up and will be there in 15....lie after lie. Then when he finally came and towed me 2 miles he said that it was 93.00 dollars. I said I was told 85. He said well I have to charge you 4.00/ mile. That wasn't said to me by your office. I then said, I waited 3 hours and now you want to charge me more. He asked for cash twice and said I don't have cash. I ended up paying him the 85.00 originally agreed on and got an electronic receipt.

They arrived on time, worked quickly, and were professional. They charged me about twice what they quoted me, though. I could have gotten a company from much farther away for far cheaper. Highly recommend looking elsewhere unless you hate money.Service: Local haulingService: Local hauling

Don't be fooled into thinking this is a reputable local company for lockout service. Do NOT call these people if you live in Ottawa, they do NOT have an office here because the city council threw them out. They'll take hours to show up and gouge you for the cost. I found a reputable service out of LaSalle, he recommends using Conroy's for lockout service.Don't have anything to do with these people. I spoke with an attorney who says they have multiple judgments against them and didn't pay their rent at the Plano office.

My wife's friend broke down on I-80 yesterday afternoon (11/19). She called Jonny's Towing and they gave her an estimated time of 1 to 1.5 hours. After almost two hours, they hadn't shown up. She called again and said it would be about an hour. An hour later, she called again and they gave an ETA of 30 minutes. At that time, I called Auto Clinic. Auto Clinic showed up in about 20 minutes. I have no idea if Jonny's ever showed up, but after 4 hours on the side of the interstate, we weren't going to waste any more time with Jonny's.The sun was up when she called Jonny's the first time. It was cold and dark. If they couldn't make it in a timely fashion, they should have said that so we could have called someone else sooner.

The absolute most rude and unprofessional company I've ever had to do with in my 32 years living on this planet. After making we wait 5 hours I called to cancel my toe and the guy became very rude I told them I was going to give them a one-star review because they threw me through loops all day all day all day and he said he's going to give me a one-star review then when I call back to talk to management he's making racist Asian Chinese sounding voices telling me management isn't available. That's not how we roll where I'm from I'm going to leave reviews and I'm going to call every single person I know and they're going to leave reviews and I'm going to call the better business bureau This is bs!

DO NOT USE THEM. Called for a tire change and was told it would be 1 hour. Waited and heard nothing. Called back and was told we were next in line and still didn't hear anything another hour later. Thankfully found someone else that could come help and called to let them know and I was hung up on. Incredibly rude and unprofessional. Don't waste your time. There is another 24 hr option in the area

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! Better response times than snails, but not quite as fast as sloths. Almost as honest as an Illinois politician. Nearly able to resist ripping people off, but not yet there. They ask for credit card numbers up front, never show up, and charge your card. Thay have a Better Business Bureau rating F and not allowed on local police tow lists. If the cops know they're crooked, when will the public figure it out? If you get ripped off by these people, please respect the rest of the public by sharing your story. These people need run out of town.

Horrible. Nothing but lies and excuses 7 hrs on the side of the interstate waiting for a tow. Now I will say driver was nice seemed to know what he was doing. Would give them negative stars. Called at noon was told 1:30 eta. I gave them till 3 started calling every hour and kept being told 30 minutes out. At 8:15 p.m. the driver finally showed up. Nice guy tried not to punish him for his bosses stupid stuff. Will never use again.

We called and got a quote at about 8pm. Then at 11pm, and after about 5+ rounds of telephone tag, they said "it'll be anothet hour and a half until we can get to you." They wouldn't be here until 12:30am.A Google search said Jonny's were in Ottawa, IL. We were broke down on 80 East, right at exit 90, so about 1/2 a mile from downtown Ottawa, but they had us waiting for over 3 hours..Honestly? you get what you pay for, I guess. If I could give this company 0 stars and the impound bill from the Illinois state police, I would.

Runaway!!! Unethical and misleading!!! Scam artists!! YELP Jonnys or check Better Business Bureau first, truth will be told!My vehicle broke down on 22nd st at Midwest Rd in OakBrook Terrace Illinois. I was in the right traffic lane and needed to get my car towed. I googled Cheap local tows and Jonnys popped up. They advertised a $65.00 hook fee plus mileage. Sounded fair so I called them to see if they had someone close. They did and tow arrived about 15-20min later. The guy pulled up hooked it within a couple minutes and was ready to go. I advised them of the destination which was about 20minutes away. I met the driver at the destination and this is where things got crazy. The guy says the hook up fee is not $65 it is $195!!!!!!!! So my total cost for a simple tow.... $335.00!!! They refused to honor their advertised price and started giving excuses like the extreme safety issue of towing a car on a local road!!?? So what can you do they have your car hooked to a truck. I asked for an itemized receipt and the driver promised a texted itemized receipt. Nope, another lie. Got a reciept with no itemization. As of today I still have not gotten an itemized receipt. YELP these guys and the truth will be told!!!

Charged me $451.00 to replace a $9.00 glad hand. I don't mind paying for service, but this borders on excessive. If you have any other options, I suggest you try them first. If I could give less than one star I would. I will never call them again under any circumstance.

NEVER CALL THIS PLACE. I called at 9:30 am and informed me that the service would be in 30 minutes. After calling several times arrived at 1:30 pm (4 hours). In a distance of 6 miles I was sent a payable amount of $ 838.00. I called the police and only then was it reduced to $ 570.00. They worked 1 hour and charged me 3 hours. They are not honest. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER call this place.

Scam artistsI give them a big fat F.Do not use this company. They are a the worst company you can call. I had a box truck that ran off the rd. E450. 14000 gvw. They sent 3 trucks. 50ton 35ton a flat bed. 4 guys. The cop on site even said this was over kill. So my bill u ask to get this truck out. 4500.00. Yep. 600.00 hr for the 50ton truck. 35ton truck was 475.00 hr. And the 2 extra guys 195.00 hr each guy. For 3hr. Of work. Point to point. But they were not in morris they are 30 min down the rd. In ottowa. So if you want to be stuck with a rediculous bill. And have money to burn call them. They will sure help you out in loosing your money.Call anyone else or push your ride. Better yet torch it.....

All I had to hear was a shop rate of $195/hour. I hung up on them. I heard they got run out of Chicago for scalping people on tow rates. Hope they get run out of Ottawa. It's a nice little town.

Didnt come with proper equipment claimed he sling hitched towed lamborghinis... also Didnt hook up proper. He hides in his truck when confronted with a issue... Hope they go out of service A blind man wouldve done better atleast they then could claim equal opportunity hiring.. Not to mention they took over 3 hrs to come pic up and I am only 16.8 miles from there office...

Was taking a 20 minute cat nap after 14 hours on the road, and when I went to turn the car back on, it didn't happen. Just wasn't quite turning over. The Walmartv auto department, which is where I was stranded, was completely inept Awful. I said battery, they said starter. And other things... but I digress. Enter Cody, the baddest of @$$es. He quickly surveyed the scene, rendered it a quick, but careful fix... and had me pour his holy water on the battery, while he worked his magic and ohhhhhMAGAW!! I saved days and hundreds of doll hairs because of them and him, Codifferras Maximad Estrigoness...

I just paid Johnnys towing in Ottawa $621 for pulling my car out of a ditch, after waiting over 4 hours while they were telling me all the while they were on their way. I called them after it was said and done, the dispatcher said he was going to sue me for slander if I told people about their service. It was an expensive lesson, beware beware beware.

BEWARE OF THESE GUYS. Had to get a roadside repair done to tractor trailer called a different company to come out for the repairs. JONNY'S TOWING must have been driving by and saw me on the off ramp shoulder. He steps out, walks to my truck and said my company or I called him to tow my tractor.The REAL company I called finally arrive to do my repairs but they told me to go further down the road to a safer area so they can work on my trailer. JONNYS TOWING blocks us in and said he needs to get paid for at least coming out and wouldn't let us leave unless he got some form of payment. After 10 mins I guess he realize his scam wasnt going to work and left.. AVOID THIS COMPANY.

If you want an honest review on Jonnys Towing look no further. They where extremely helpful with moving my car when it broke down on the expressway. My Carolla was handled with a good amount of care. Thank you Jonnys.

I would not use this service. Absolutely rude. Had a friend call for service. They estimated an hour. Left him hanging for five hours and when he called to cancel they were incredibly unprofessional.

Very Very disappointed with the service, told me 45 minutes and didn't show up for 3 1/2 hours, literally towed me off ramp around corner into Petro and wanted $1300, I about lost my shot an they dropped it to $937....NEVER AGAIN!!!!!! HIGHWAY ROBBERY

Said they wouldn't do a fan belt because it "doesn't pay enough" after I opt out of replacement of the tensioner pulley, which they quoted me over a grand for. Pathetic excuse for customer service.

Great service!! I got stuck in some mud in the middle of the night. they showed up within an hour got me out in 10 minutes charged me $400 I'm very happy about it!! great job!!

If you make a commitment with a customer, you honor that commitment. I will not do business with a company that can't, or won't, rectify the issue for a customer. Mockery of said customer is even worse. I would spend your money elsewhere.
