2024/01/09 - This latest interaction had issues. It took almost two days to "fix" my car. I went to pick it up and immediately had issues with the brakes. It took a day for Corp and DM to authorize fixing the brakes again and another day to complete the repairs. I have some concerns with how Tuffy Corp/DM treats the customers. No financial or coupon considerations were provided for the extra two days of unnecessary delay and complete frustration.2022/2023 - This is my first interaction, and sometimes the desk person misses some things but easy to work through. They were able to diagnose and resolve the issue quickly. Nice they go through estimate process to make sure everyone is aware of the cost and time to complete. They also took me through the issue while visually showing me on my car.

Everyone at Tuffy in Oswego is professional 100%. I know when I bring my car it s going to be in the best hands. They have always make sure I understand what s going on with my car at all time. Make sure you stop on in, and you won t regret it.

I really don't want to leave a bad review but, I went for diagnosis paid $170. Had to leave my vehicle there take uber back and forth. I was told it was a few things that I've so far replaced. Engine light is still on. I called spoke with Kevin he was busy said he will call me back a week later no call back. I'm not sure what's going on but I need to know what's going on with my car. Can someone help me out because I feel like I just gave my money away and issue is still not resolved.

Great experience. I will taking my Jeep back for brake service.Part 2. Kevin and his team are great. They fixed my brake problems. Changed out my axel and EVAP system. My Jeep is running SMOOTH. You can't go wrong.

PLEASE READ-KEVIN is the new manager at this location. I have been going to Tuffy for years and he puts a new spin on the customer service side of the business. He excels in helping people like myself understand the why and how. I fully TRUST that he will look at what is best for us the customer. He is happy to answer a million questions (even if it is the same one 999,999 times.) He stands behind the tuffy guarantee to insure the work is done right. Lastly he respectful of your time and tries his best to get you in and out.Kevin YOu ARE SIMPLY THE BEST. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR TAKING CARE OF MY CAR. I wish I could give you more stars but google only allows 5.

Quick turnaround time. Professional associates and I do like the texting communications option. Pricing is a bit expensive, but that s everywhere nowadays. Brought two cars in today for an oil change. Hadn t been to Tuffy in awhile as I have found another family owned company that will do vehicle repairs with the same quality and care at a cheaper price, however, they are closed on weekends.My father and I walk in for the appointment and the manager Stacey looks and me and says usually women don t like this but you ve gotten a little bigger are you pregnant? To which I replied no. I was absolutely mortified and offended that someone said that to me in a business in which they are the manager and where other customers were present.I have autoimmune hypothyroidism which can affect fluctuation in weight.The service we had the appointment for was done and I appreciate that, but the comment was not necessary.Needless to say, I don t think we will be bringing our vehicles back.Service: Oil change

called in and I believe I spoke to David on the phone, super polite knowledgeable fellow, came in to get my tire/rim leak fixed. They had me in and out within 30 mins and the tire leak is fixed!! They do fast quality work for good pricing, I highly recommend this shop and will definitely be back if my vehicle needs any work in the future! RECOMMENDED!Service: Tires

This was my first time using Tuffy Tire & Auto Service Center in Oswego, IL and let me tell you they just earned a lifetime customer. I have been to countless auto repair shops and for the first time I can confidently say that I DO NOT FEEL TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF! Stacey went above and beyond in explaining exactly what their diagnostic test found was wrong with my Traverse and even went as far as taking my small children into consideration advising me what needed to be fixed down to what could just be a routine maintenance fix at my next oil change. Stacey worked with me with finding different payment options to make sure that I can make sure my vehicle was safe for myself and my kids. I'm screaming from the rooftops how happy I am with the service I received today and I am extremely grateful for Stacey at the Oswego Illinois location. Customer service was decent, but I decided not to go with them because their "specials" that were posted were no longer provided and their prices are very easily beatable with just a few calls around town.

Okay. So I originally went in for an oil change. The front desk, Chris, was super professional. Informed me that it would be half an hour later. Didn't have anywhere to be so said it was fine. It was an hour later and Chris told me he had some bad news. I was never happier to have paid a little extra for the oil change with inspection. They found my brakes were shot and the back ones weren't working at all. After learning I had work in half an hour after the discovery, they offered to take me to and pick me up from work since it was a short shift. My brakes were fixed for a reasonable price and they were willing to work with me. Now I have a lifetime warranty for the brakes and a good place to go for auto work. Highly recommend this place for their maintenance staff's courtesy and knowledge and the front end's staff courtesy. It was like visiting family that you enjoy talking to.

Service was excellent. Needed a tuneup, brakes (front&back) and full oil change.Becuz the work would be a full day, Owen and the Tuffy team were great. Owen decided to have one of his guys take me home while servicing my car, and return to get me once my car was done. Owen s consideration of my time was awesome.And by the way Dashboard lights that was not working correctly are now back to normal. Super! Brought the car in for a minor coolant leak and smell on the wife's Audi A4. Replaced 6 hoses at a cost of almost $1,200 and it did absolutely nothing to fix the problem.Brought the vehicle to another mechanic and they diagnosed a bad heater core immediately.Feel like I got taken for a ride, would not recommend.

I came in for an oil change on 06/14/22 and had a horrible experience. I called ahead to make an appointment for 4 pm but when I arrived, the manager told me I had to wait 2 hours. When I said I can't wait that long he offered to give me a ride home in my car and said once the oil change is done, he would drop my car off at my house but then I would have to give him a ride back to the shop. I also asked to use the $24.99 coupon that I received in the mail and it clearly states "Valid for Plainfield and Oswego Locations" but he refused to honor the coupon and said we are charging $39.99. His reasoning for not accepting the coupon; "Gas and oil prices are high so we are no longer honoring the coupons". I said you could have told me over the phone so I didn't have to drive all the way. He didn't even apologize. Very misleading. I suggest everyone NOT to go to the Oswego Location. Their customer service is HORRIBLE to say the least. I would use Midas or other competitors as they provide reasonable service.Service: Auto maintenance

First time here and I kinda don't want to go anywhere else. This place was great. I'm not sure who the guy at the front is, but 10/10 customer service. The guy is hilarious and really down to earth, was honest and didnt try to push any extra services on me. Also came in without an appointment and was fine with waiting for a few hours but they got me in immediately.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Oil change

Great Experience! Had an oil change for my car two weeks ago (which was 1,000 miles overdue for one, oops!) and the employee working at the front desk was really courteous and took my car right away. I am a graduate student so the last thing I wanted was to spend an hour getting doing something other than studying. However, they were quick to do the job (~ 20 minutes total) and I was very satisfied! The waiting area is also clean (which you can't say about all auto-repair shops) and the location is very convenient for me. They get the job done!

I recently moved to the area and have been looking for a place that I can feel confident going to and trust, this is it!!I brought my Nephews car in for an oil change with that they did an inspection and found a cracked spring.Glen the store Manager went out of his way to explain the situation was very thorough, knowledgeable and polite.He was able to order the parts and quickly fixed my Nephews car giving me the piece of mind I have been searching for!!!Thank you Glen, Stacey, Technicians and Staff, I just cant say enough good things about the quality of Service we received!!!I highly recommend Tuffy Auto Service in Oswego Truly your car dealer alternative!!!

Owen really wanted to make sure the job was done right to my Chevy Cruze. He truly cared about the safety of my vehicle for my family and did not push any sales. He was able to thoroughly explain the problems with my vehicle. Owen was even nice enough to make some SUV recommendations for my future purchase! He will always have my business with all of my cars and I will always recommend him to others.

I WOULD NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE HERE.I have a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 5.3l I had tuffys Oswego IL put in a rear main seal then all of a sudden I had giant puddle under the truck. Checked oil and I was 2 quarts low!! filled my oil brought it in for them to take a look, at first they told me my valve covers were leaking all this oil. They told me they would have to charge me to degrease the engine. I told them no way the valve cover were leaking that much oil. Then all of a sudden it was free . I stopped in the next day to check on progress and the manager told me all sign lead to rear main seal but I had to pay again for rear main seal install because he wasn t 100% sure that his work was faulty. I took truck down to Ron Westphal Chevrolet where they got it in right away. After pulling transmission they found mounds of rtv (gasket maker) caked on bottom of oil pan seal and rear main plate. When the rtv dried it shoved the plate up and bent the rear main seal. They did a very good job at completing my rear! Then I went back to tuffys to explain to them what had happened and the manager looked at me and said yep that s y I wanted to tear it apart and take a look. Did not offer to help me pay or give me anything to help. Apparently they don t warranty they stuff. DO NOT GO HERE!Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Decent service just not the same service since Owen left he was a good man with knowledge on cars .. since he left the place isn t the same .. last oil change I had they put the wrong oil in and as I left my car was knocking I quickly turned around and they had to re do the oil change and they forgot to rotate my tires that I paid to get done .. so moral of the story u have to check behind these kids working on your car .. not sure if they have been trained PROPERLY!!

I came here because of the reviews and they were right! 19.99 special for oil change and the woman who checked me in was super nice and got me in as soon as possible without an appointment. I'm definitely coming back and this is now my oil change spot!

I was extremely disappointed when I went in here. I had first gone in for a simple oil change and free car inspection and was very pleased with everything. So I went back again when I noticed my car was having some problems. I left not having my car as I was told it was unsafe to drive. Because I wasn't going to spend over half of the bill on labor alone I proceeded to tell them to not fix my car. Finding out they fixed my car, after being told not to touch it, I went ahead and paid the not so cheap bill. Two days later my car started up with the same problem I took it in for. I took it to another mechanic and was told half the things paid for that was "fixed" wasn't touched. My car is in a worse condition than it was when i took it into Tuffy. Extremely disappointed.
