If you know about Shipmans you probably heard it from one of their satisfied customers. But, Do Not Be Fooled with sticker shock. Ask ahead of any service. That is just good sense for any repairs be it washing machine, lawn mowers or automobiles. Shipmans prices may seem high but these folks are extremely competent and know what to do with cars. One pays for what one gets. Yay Shipmans!

I've been doing business here for 20 years. I would never go anywhere else. Excellent service, great diagnostics and a very friendly staff! They fix it RIGHT the first time. This is also not your typical auto shop. The place is so clean that you can eat off the floors. The Shipman's also show an interest in antiques so the office as well as the outside is loaded with interesting things to look at. I also know everyone here on a personal basis and have become good friends with all.

Someone recommended Shipman's to me a few years ago. They are an amazing group of people. I don't view them as mechanics but more as business partners. They really help you prepare for what could be coming up on your car in the next couple of years in addition to just fixing the present. They always are conscious of cost and work with you to get to the most reasonable price. They do this all with impeccable service. I am lucky to have found them and am very appreciative of everything they do.

I've been using Shipman's for years after a recommendation from a family friend.They have very knowledgeable trained mechanics, and I always receive excellent customer service. Their prices are reasonable and I never have to worry about them recommending unneeded repairs.

Shipman's is the only place we have ever taken our cars to for the simple reason they are the best in town!! They go above and beyond, not only in scheduling an appointment that is convenient for you, but are thorough in the work they do and explain any issues they might find. We trust their workmanship and in-depth knowledge. Repairs can be expensive, but their prices are always reasonable; you never are taken advantage of. Everyone that works there is more than professional; they are kind people! Bottom line -- we trust them and would go no where else!

We have been taking our cars here for too many years to count. Shipman's is good, honest car repair. The owners, Mike and Marisa Shipman are super friendly, as are their mechanics. Family business handed down by the original home of friendly service, Lloyd's Service.

My family and I have been coming to Shipman's Garage for years, even when Lloyd was doing service. It's family owned and you DEFINITELY feel at home when you walk in. You're ALWAYS greeted right away and with a smile. They don't beat around the bush when it comes to maintenance, service and price. They have a beautiful set up of antiques of tools, pictures etc in the waiting room along with a little corner for kids to be occupied while you wait. Mike knows what's best when it comes to fixing your car the right way and he has no problem answering any questions you have no matter what they are. I love the quality of service and friendliness of Shipman's.

Took my Jeep Wrangler to Shipman's Garage for brake issues. They resolved my issue and treated me like family! They even called a few days later to make sure everything was to my satisfaction. Great family-owned business. I will be taking all of my vehicles there from now on. I would highly recommend Shipman's Garage.

My family (father, sisters, husband, etc.) has trusted our cars to Shipman's for more than 20 years. I've had bad experiences at unnamed chain service centers where they try to take advantage of you - telling you that something needs to be repaired when it doesn't. If Shipman's tells you that your vehicle needs a repair, it needs a repair - and they'll do it at a fair price. (And if you need to wait for your vehicle, there's a clean, comfortable waiting area.) Knowledgeable, honest, trustworthy, friendly - that's the Shipman's experience! Why go anyplace else?

I drove a hour to shipman because I trust them completely! They are not a chain garage. They are up-front with what is wrong with your vehicle. Very friendly all around including the receptionist!You can't go wrong with them! Highly recommendRMadden

These guys are great. I had an oil leak. Took it to the dealer and they were going to charge over $800 to replace the oil pan gasket. Brought it to Shipman's and they quoted $650. An hour after I dropped the car off, they called me and said they found a less expensive repair after they got everything apart and cleaned up. Ended up paying $225. If you have a problem, let these guys take a look at it. Very friendly environment.

Bob and Mike are great trusting people to get the correct parts and work done on your vehicle.A little more pricey some times but you get what you pay for. A lot cheaper and trusting over other local repair shops.

We have been using Shipman's for all of our automotive repairs and service since we moved to Illinois 16 years ago. They have more than earned our loyalty. They fix what is broken and alert us to up coming needed maintenance. Never any surprise charges. Fast, friendly, honest and reliable. We have recommended Shipman's many times.

We have been using Shipman's Garage for over 25 years. We usually drive our cars forever and Mike and his crew has always kept them going! My 17 year old Buick has well over 200,000 miles on it! I can not recommend them high enough. You will be satisfied.

We had our truck break down on the way home to Wisconsin. My brother in law recommended Shipman's. We had the truck towed to their shop. It needed a new fuel pump and filter. They went out of their way to help get us back on the road despite a number of challenges. We were impressed with their follow through and tenacity to make sure the job was done and done right. They went above and beyond and never charged more than the original quote. Thanks guys! We appreciate all you did for us. Keep up the great work!

Recommended by a friend who kept the minivan working for 250,000 miles and 5hr roadtrip to see ailing parents. They did great work diagnosing the problem other locations couldn't and fixed it w/o issue. Asked for advice on another fix and they gave me excellent advice saving me 30% over other options. Very friendly, honest, & hard working.

Excellent customer service and great prices. Good honest mechanics! They work on my husbands vehicles and just worked on my brakes! Better experience than other places I've been!!
