Small Pilot. The parking lot could have been bigger. But overall the service is ok. The showers are quite clean.

They have really delicious meat loaf here. Get it as a dinner plate, and add mashed potatoes and gravy and mac and cheese. Oh my, so good.

I would like to share with the world the best I mean absolute best travel center I ve ever been to this pilot in Oakwood, Illinois 171 is the best layout I ve ever seen in a travel center with two of the kindest, most helpful employees of all time- Nate and Sheridan. The store is well stocked, super clean and super easy to get through plenty of room lots of food just a perfect place to go, so let it be known 171 is the truckstop to go to. Bye.

Showed up last night after delivering to sygma 15 miles away. I stopped here before delivery to reserve a parking spot because I knew it was going to be a late night. Delivered, and came back to see all the reserves full. I wasn t gonna let some entitled driver think they can get away for parking in a reserve and not paying when I did. I was tired and had no patience. Talked to the staff here and they were gonna go out and see who paid and who didn t. Luckily for a driver someone pulled out of a reserve spot and I was able to take it. But other drivers were also waiting for reserve spots. Bottom line I appreciate the staff for doing something about these type of drivers who park in reserves and don t pay. They do enforce their parking here so stop trying to park and not pay. Also cops patrol here regularly and one just so happen to be in the store when we were discussing the parking issue. There s four to five other truck stops on this exit. If you don t wanna pay if there s no free spots go somewhere else. This pilot is fairly clean, enough room to maneuver, has a hot deli like most and friendly staff. Bathrooms get a little dirty during the late hours but pretty clean during the day.

I really liked this Pilot. I have nothing bad to say. For the 1 star reviews. Food at every truck stop is expensive. Use your points on your pilot rewards card. That s how I pay for my food and the other 1 star. Many truck stops are full after 4pm. 2pm if you re on the east coast. Plan accordingly. But this place was clean and open. I actually sat and had my coffee while watching the news. They also have healthy options. The salad was really good. And the workers were friendly. No complaints here. It s not the biggest pilot tho. So keep that in mind.

Feb 6th 2024 5:00 am. It was the most disgusting shower I've ever been in. The cashier seemed extremely annoyed she had to walk away from the counter to unlock the shower door. The toilet was covered in pubic hair, the sink had left over spit from brushing teeth, and the mirror looked like someone popped their pimples all over it. Never again

This is the best truck stop I've ever visited!We accidentally locked ourselves out of the truck and every employee here help us!The manager, cashier, maintenance man,, absolutely amazing people!Plus, we ate dinner, rotisserie chicken was fresh and tasted wonderful.The showers were the cleanest I've ever used and the water was good and hot, great pressure.We will definitely be visiting here every chance we get.Great job everyone, thank you for all if your help and hospitality.

Parking is an absolute joke. The lanes aren't wide enough to do a proper s turn also good-luck getting a spot once the sun goes down.

Even if you payed your Reserve parking, isn t grantee, yet they can come to you and knock your door,They will wake up you, . I don t see my system , did you payed??? Already lost your money and your sleep time.The Response is #. Sorry!!!!!

Very clean, including bathroom's and showers. Friendly staff. The ONLY thing that I found fault with was that they put conditioners in their water. If you didn't know...whenever you shower and your skin feels slimey or like you've been washing in lotion...THAT is water conditioner. The only other thing that I did not like was the staff at the McDonald's right across the way from the Pilot. Very rude. Dark green Marines like myself should avoid this particular Mickey-D's.

Great pilot with great staff and they have fresh diner at the kiosk and showers are clean.. 1 star less because parking is cluttered

Easy to get in to, and plenty of room to park. Reserve is particularly easy to back into and lots of room between rows. This is a very quiet little Pilot and amazingly clean. We didn't see any potholes to speak of and the only trash we saw was in a ditch away from parking. Plenty of trash cans which were emptied overnight. The employees are extremely friendly and professional. They have multiple varieties of food. Buffet, a hot rack with the regular fare ( plenty of choices there), and salad and fruit. The store was extremely clean, bathrooms exceptionally clean and great coffee in the morning! A bit of a flustercluck at night when everyone wants a space, but typical for any Pilot. This is one of those little gems owner operators will like as there are places to park that are out of the way which lowers your chance of getting your bumper removed! Didn't fuel here but the line moved quickly. One thing that was really nice was this Pilot was quiet. What I mean is there was no loud music blaring in the restrooms and no constant directions to "move up after fueling", which it seems steering wheel holders ignore anyway. Just a great little Pilot.

Pretty sad. Got here at 3pm. A ton of open parking for semis. Where do they park?? In the driveway. No one seems to care. No one enforces any parking rules. Maybe just park in the pumps, or on the scale. Heaven forbid emergency vehicles might have to get in here. The sad part is, NO ONE CARES.

Food is expensive for what it is and they still are stingy with serving size, paid for a large Mac N cheese, potatoes and they only fill it half way

Food on deli was fresh and it's nice to see employees that care. If Max isn't management, he definitely has a knack for it. Best customer service I've seen in a while. I'll put this on my must stop list for fuel whenever running this direction.

I asked for a team shower and was only given one. When I told him he made a mistake, he would only take another shower off my card. Team showers are suppose to be two showers with only one shower taken off card. Wouldn t fix the mistake. Customer service department is only open Monday-Friday so since it s Sunday March 26, 2023 I guess I m just out of luck. I wouldn t complain, but since I train drivers and the cost of showers is so high, I don t think it s fair to punish me for their mistake.

Great place for variety of items and name brand stores...Dunkin donuts, Cinnamon. Visibly short on staff... bathroom needed service, items shortages and restocking needed...ice coolers empty

Smelled good when I walked in, Cinnabon fresh and warm available this morning, bathrooms are clean and has the soap Gogo, love that stuff, available, store is organized and clean and stocked up. Pumps have no problems and card reader works, very nice one.

Card readers at pumps never work. I just left after a failed reading again. Just go next door to Loves if you don't want the stress of dealing with their pumps.

The place seems a bit run down. Stopped here to top off my petrol tank and the card reader at the pump did not work. Luckily, there are other stations just across the road willing to take my money.

I've been coming to this station once a month for a few years as a half way meeting spot. When in fact, I drive further then my meeting does just so we can meet here. The food is good, the restrooms ALWAYS clean and when there is a line, they are always quick to open new registers! They will even make you fresh coffee!

No original dunkin donuts coffee, sugar container empty, no one to serve food, didnt ask for point card. Drivers don't have time to wait around for you to correct things. Please do better!! Overall cleanliness pretty good, bathroom pretty good.

Clean good service, wonderful choices of food, drinks and snacks much more than normal gas / truck stops.Bathrooms were OK but not the freshest maybe just the timing of when I was there.Very competitive on fuel prices.And has frozen yogurt with a topping bar very cool, pun intended
