My driveshaft snapped and fell off to the ground. Aamco sent a flatbed tow truck to pick me up in less than an hour. I told them my birthday was in a week and they could here the devastation in my voice. They immediately kicked into gear determined to get me the best deal and have my truck back to me by my birthday. Not only did they deliver, but when I came to pick up my truck for my birthday, they had washed and decorated it with paint on the windows with a balloon! They even got me a birthday card and gift bag of chocolates. It literally made me shed a tear! (I'm a sucker for stuff like that lol) I could have taken my truck anywhere but I'm happy I chose Aamco in Oak Park! Customer service is top notch and makes all the difference in the world when spending that amount of money. Thank you so much to all of the mechanics and staff that made it happen! I will definitely refer everyone to them!

This was my first time trying this mechanic - oil change, air in tires, checking my battery and brakes. It was such a pleasant experience working with both Seth and Ray. Extremely thorough and transparent on their pricing and explanation of everything my car needed. 10/10 would definitely return and recommend!

I had a 5 STAR experience getting my Honda Odyssey transmissions fixed. Fixed and not replaced! My regular mechanic recommended the OP AAMCO when the van started bucking when changing gears since he doesn't do transmissions. AAMCO was able to fit me in on a Monday morning and I had the van back the next day at a fair price. Customer service was great and walked me thru every step from locating the problem to options and pricing to fix and schedule and pickup. Thank you, Ray!

I was there to get my vehicle diagnosed. The technicians were able to get me in and out in a timely manner. While doing a thorough job inspecting my vehicle. They worked within my budget and also assisted with finding quality replacement parts. I highly recommend this auto shop to anyone looking to have their services completed. Amazing and very knowledgeable staff! I will be back!

We Had some car trouble while Visiting Chicago for the holidays, we were glad to get an appointment at this location. The service was great. Ray at the counter was very helpful and communicated with us throughout the wait. The mechanic also was very detailed when communicating and honest when telling us what work was needed to get us ready to be able to drive back home. I recommend this place percent.Ps.. waiting area & bathroom were clean

I ve been meaning to leave this review for over a week now because I was so pleased with the interaction I had with Seth, who I believe is the owner, and Mark (I hope I m remembering his name correctly), the mechanic who helped me. My front license plate was hanging by one screw and I was driving home trying to figure out if I had screws at home to fix it. Since I was unsure I had what I needed at home, I decided to pull in to Aamco since they are near my home, I figured they would have screws. They were happy to help with the slightly unusual request. Seth took the time to introduce himself as the owner, while Mark went and found screws to reaffix the plate. Mark had me in and out in no time and though I was ready to pay, told me it was free of charge! You don t often find people or places willing to help with something simple for no charge, it was truly a nice surprise. I appreciated the service and willingness to help out a neighbor (and previous customer) on a small job. Thank you again for being a trusted Go-to in our neighborhood !

I would love to give a to AAMCO..I have a 2019 Ford fusion that I purchased new in 2019. At 44,000 mi I needed a transmission rebuild for my Ford fusion. Aamco took the time and patience to rebuild my transmission. They treated me with respect and put a lot of effort into all of their work. I will recommend aamco to anybody who's looking for great mechanics. They are very professional and knowledgeable. I wish the world had more mechanics like them

I visited Aamco in Oak Park today. They were a great help diagnosing my battery issue and replacing it, as well as bringing other items to my attention. The complimentary inspection was thorough and I didn't feel that I was being rushed or upsold. I appreciate how painless the experience was and I highly recommend visiting them for automotive repair needs.

A few months ago they cleaned up a technical mess in my car caused by the dealership and have been coming back since. Have found them to be incredibly honest and fair. They seem like very nice people too. They've got my business for the foreseeable future.

I came in scared my trans was going out and the told me to leave it here they told me a crazy price for a diagnostic and when they told me what was wrong the price was even crazier but when I got my car back it ran better then when I gave it to them so for that I am grateful. Thank you. And Seth s customer service was great. They all were professional and friendly. Again thank you.

My Vehicle had been out of service for over a year. I Worked with Michael he was very knowledgeable and explained everything to me where I could understand he was great I would definitely refer this location. Don t do business with these ppl they are scams if you don t kno about cars they will def tell you anything and overcharge you. I didn t get a real inspection at all they only scan my car for codes like auto zone . I was told it will cost me over $15,000 to get a knock sensor change and transmission rebuild don t do business with them save your time and money

Highly recommend these guys. My issue was misdiagnosed at 3 other shops costing me several thousand to "fix" until I took it to AAMCO in Oak Park. They figured out the issue and very happy with their service.

Ray and Mike made my life so much easier today! Got an oil change and fixed my bottom plastic that was dragging while I drive. Didn t charge me any extra for it! So thankful for this shop. Highly recommend it.

Really wonderful service! They aren't the cheapest, but as they say, you get what you pay for, and in this case it is great quality work. Also, they are extremely helpful and informative. They even help with financing! The new owner is Seth, and he really wants everyone to go the extra mile. Ask for the manager, Mike, though. Super knowledgeable and helpful. Highly recommend!

I am one to never put negative reviews or such. Some places should understand that some people are not here to spend so much money. I have an issue with the non sympathy that was displayed, almost as if I was just a dollar sign.The service techs are good. Whoever that Ray guy is from here, the front desk person or whatever is beyond fake and rude. He think he can fake customer service through his teeth. If you are a person who s trying to fix your car rationally and not willing to spend as much.They did my radiator, and I have no complaints about it. But then my circulation button was not working, and yeah I freaked out. And decided to take the car back, which he said it was more so stuck on a setting which makes sense. But I knew if I asked them to check the radiator job, I would have to spend money on extra diagnostics because they had to remove the radiator itself. Then Ray couldn t read the room and decided to just talk about how there would be a diagnostic for 180/hr (when it was a little problem, why are we talking about a 180/hr diagnostic) if I didn t do a job with them. It s literally so pressuring that it s sickening. I was having a panic attack and I just decided to tell him I was going to go somewhere else, but he couldn t read the room again and kept talking about how he didn t know places around here and I said, I know a place but he kept talking. I had to reverse my car and I didn t know how to, but I did and probably bumped something. I am not a person to write reviews or make conflict either. Service techs are chill. Michael was nice but this Ray guy

I've been lucky that AAMCO not only knows me, but my vehicles. Their rates are more than fair and quality of work is guaranteed. Not all repairs go smoothly at any shop, but when they do, they are trouble free. This specific rating is for replacing a driver's CV axle... in which parts supply companies had mismarked and pulled wrong parts twice. Shop small and stay local.

Ray and Micheal are the best. They make sure that you get what you need done on your vehicle right! I came in for a transmission swap and my car was done the same day. They get you the best quality parts out there. For sure coming back if I need anything done.

I was having issues with my air conditioning system in my car and a friend recommended me to come here and let me say the best experience ever. Within a couple hours if that my car was ready to go with air conditioning system fixed. This will be my go to shop going forward. My car was towed to AAMCO for engine failure and the manager Michael was nothing but helpful throughout the entire process, he even went above and beyond and gave me some information on my vehicle that Toyota would pay for and not me. I love the fact that they didn't take advantage of me for being a female who absolutely knows nothing about cars. I will be telling everyone I know about this place and this precise location because of Michael!

My husband and I went to Aamco in oak park, because the location on western just gave us terrible service! Luckily Michael was able to squeeze us in. We had a couple of issues that had to be fixed. They were able to fix everything in a timely manner. Which I appreciated because of all the time we had already wasted at that other awful place. You guys have the BEST costumer service, Thank you Michael! we will be coming back here again.
