Star Auto is the absolute best!!! I m so happy my friend referred me to this business Exceptional service from start to finish! I brought my car to this shop more than once for repair services as well as for routine maintenance. I couldn t be happier with the results every time. Ronnie s expertise and professionalism instilled confidence, and my car was ready for pickup in no time. The quality of their workmanship is top-notch, and the pricing was fair and transparent. I highly recommend this mechanic to anyone in need of reliable and trustworthy service. A true 5-star experience!

I have been going to Star Auto for the last 10 years. When it comes to quality work and professionalism Star Auto definitely exemplifies showmanship. I'm a firm believer that if it's not broken then why change or fix it. If Star Auto moved it's location I would travel because the workers and staff make you seem as though you are part of the shop/family. One thing I truly admire is their honesty when it comes to whether or not they can or cannot fix something. The workers will give positive feedback letting the customer have a say in the matter as to what he/she wants to do. It's like the saying "There's no I in team only We".

I took my bmw x6 here for a simple oil change. After leaving the shop my car began to malfunction saying low power. I took it to the bmw dealership to find that the oil cap had been tampered with and missing a piece causing the engine to not build oil pressure causing the sensors to malfunction. Being that I had NO issues until this oil change its safe to say these mechanics caused this issue in hopes to over charge me to get more money. Please beware they will take advantage of you. That will be the 1st and last time I go to Star auto don't say I didn't warn you especially if your a woman don't let the nice ppl fool you they are crooks!

My husband took his Bentley to be serviced on January 28, 2021. After receiving a scan from Bentley Gold Coast 1100 North Clark, Chicago, IL 60610 on October 17, 2020. A complete diagnostic was performed providing findings inclusive of a vacuum leak that was causing multiple misfires which is notorious for this 2006 model. Upon sharing the written estimate and report from Bentley Gold Coast, Ronnie assured my husband he would be able to correct everything listed on the diagnostic report consisting of removing the engine and fixing the leak by the firewall. He was given $4K in cash to begin the repairs. After an entire month of the car being at Star Auto and when he was advised he could pick it up, all the problems began. Upon driving away from the shop and approaching Harlem Avenue and Southwest Highway due it not running properly, he immediately pulled in the BP gas station to put in fresh gas and the check engine light came on. Instantly, he headed back to Star Auto with the check engine light screaming in his face. He spoke to Ronnie when he went back to the shop and acknowledged him that the check engine light reappeared and the car was not repaired properly and to return the additional $4500 he paid when he picked up the car minutes ago. He refused for some twenty minutes to return the money with his brother screaming in his ear not to refund him his money. He then informed him if he knew he had to go through this for a difference of $4K with Bentley Gold Coast, he would have let them repair it. In addition, the car was damaged on the top of the roof by the passenger side pillar by the door, the seats were greasy and the door panels dirty on a very light color interior. This is a week later after he returned it from just picking it up. The check engine light is now back on again. He had to reverse the charges on his American Express card with knowledge of what it takes to repair the issues noted to his car. They have no knowledge and little to no experience at all fixing foreign cars such as a Bentley and should've informed him they were unable to repair it properly. PLEASE TAKE CAUTION and don't DO ANY BUSINESS with Star Auto at all. He has all the documents and videos to validate this unfortunate situation. The damaged has been reported to police and insurance company. *****PLEASE DON'T modify or mask this post in no form. I drive from Homer Glen to come here because they are hands down the best! Took 40 minutes to do an oil change, and they were so cheap. Ronnie and Eddie are so honest and have the best customer service. Highly recommend for any body work, wouldn t trust anyone else with my Audi! Thanks guys

My car is 16 years old and I have been driving it for over 14 yrs now. My mileage is almost at 200k and I come to Star Auto for all my maintenance needs. People always ask me for recommendations and I send them here. I go in regularly for my oil changes, brakes and battery needs. Over the years they have worked on my lights, heating system, my suspension, bearings, and other things that pop up from time to time. They have great mechanics who do honest work. They also have made good recommendations for the work they don t offer. Ronnie and the rest of the staff are always friendly, help me understand the issues my car has, and are responsive to the questions that I ask. They are busy on Saturday so it s best to schedule your service if you can. I will continue to come here and definitely recommend Star Auto for quality service.Services: Engine repair, Brake service & repair, Battery, Oil change

I went to get an estimate for my e500 benz for an Alternator, I give them my vin# but no one called me, went back day or 2 later why no one have called me, sorry he's not here I'll make sure for him to call you.....3 days later, still waiting ....arrogant ppl, I wish there was 0 stars that's what they deserve

Peace. I have taken my 1993 Mercedes 300SE last summer of 2022 for oil leak. They said it was oil pan gasket total of $1200.00 within half an hour later they call me back price went up to $1700 base on the transmission had to be taken out..Meanwhile I did my home work and call around at Mercedes dealership that the transmission didn t come out and GHOSEIN s Shop said the same..I was so upset crook county and snakes and crocodile stealing from the public and a Spirt of greed. Finally I went back in person Feb 8 2023 So say this are guilty. Do your homework before you take ur vehicle for repairs.

These guys are very professional and are the best at what they do. My 2010 BMW 550I had suspension issues. I took the BMW to two other Mechanics in the Chicago land area. Both finished the car and didn't do anything the car was still dropping due to the suspensions. It took Ronnie and the guys not even a day to fix the issue and the car is driving good as new.Thanks Star team! Great team!! Be careful with this place. If your car is damaged here they won t help with the repair! We took our car here for issues with the check engine light and everything was fine. When we picked it up the windshield had a large crack in it. After alerting their worker he gave a million excuses on how it could ve happened while in their care but never offered any compensation.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

I started coming here based off a recommendation from my chiropractor Sam Jaber. I have been there several times and the prices were responsible and never did I have to wait for hours or the the next day. My appointments were immediate and I was quoted the amount of service before I made the appointment. I just had my brakes repaired and I was in and out within two hours. I have been going to Star Auto for almost 4 years now and I wholeheartedly recommend them. This is a family run business and they are truly honest and caring people. I have always had excellent customer service and my cars have never run better. I've taken two foreign cars to them, my Range Rover and my Mini. Saved a lot of money too because they don't pad the bill. I trust them totally and that's saying a lot. They deserve every 5 star review on here.

Ronnie is the MAN! I took two separate vehicles for an oil change and he took care of each in less then 15 minutes. I must have spent 35 minutes total for 2 oil changes and at a reasonable price. They use quality parts here because BOTH of my cars are running with fluidity and better then when I take my car to the dealership. As for Ronnie, no hoops, no bs, a diagnosis and then talk options. This is a good business and I see why they continue to be successful.

I have been coming here since my first car 2008, for all of my mechanical issues and maintenance. Truly the only people I trust with my repairs, because I know I m getting genuine car parts and labor. I also love that my car gets done quickly! As that is huge for me, as I only know how to get around using my own vehicle.

Referred from a friend. Had a horrible experience with a dealership. Spoke to Ronnie and he was extremely professional and upfront. Set up a tow for me, kept me updated on the problem with my vehicle, and had it repaired in a few hours. All this and prices were a fraction of dealerships. You have a lifelong customer and I will definitely refer others!

Star Auto has always taken care of any foreign auto I have bought them. Ronnie has always told me exactly whats going on with my car and the correct price. I have never had to bring the car back twice because of the same problem. Work has always been performed right the 1st time.

I was referred to this place from people who are loyal customers, but after my experience they will no longer patronize this place. My truck has an aftermarket warranty and needed to have the Hub bearings replaced on the front driver side, I had it diagnosed elsewhere but they were quoting me 2-3 weeks turnaround time because they had so much work. I walked in and spoke to a tall slim guy who was on the phone on hold. He mistook me for another customer and almost gave me the keys to that persons' car. After I refused the the keys, a driver from W&W salvage yard came in with a part that they'd request, he had this guy waiting around for 15-20 minutes and then told him that the person it was intended for had left, the W&W driver was extremely upset about this and I can understand why. Finally I was given a chance to explain what I needed, I just wanted to know what the turn around time was and if they worked with aftermarket warranty companies. He told me yes he did but he would have to see the car in order to determine if they deal with the company I have. This left me perplexed as I was unclear why you would have to see the truck in order to determine if you deal with the company and I have all of the information to the company, the warranty itself and a description of what it covers. He wanted me pay for an additional diagnostic fee for them to look at it even after i explained it was diagnosed. I wasn't given an opportunity to have them service my vehicle and I am glad I wasn't this review is based upon the customer service I received and the way the particular person handled himself and represented this business.
