They took me in with no appointment and completed my muffler part and weld very quickly. I was very satisfied with the overall friendly service provided. See before and after photos.

Jamal was very assuring and made sure that my vehicle running just as smooth as it was before I ran into the check engine light issue. I was very concerned but Jamal put my mind at ease without any further worries. I will be returning for any future repairs and this location is what all repair shop teams shop look and especially the environment of being welcoming, they treat you like family. Jamal and his team needs a raise and promotion for all their hard work.Go Meineke!!!!

This repair shop is great! I went a few months ago and had a major repair to my '13 Edge, to replace a rear differential. They did an excellent job and I haven't had any issues. They went a step further and added an additional bar to keep everything in place . Didn't even ask them to do that!I just came from Meineke, 11/11/23, because my brakes went soft, spongy and went to the floor. Scared me half to death. I called the nearest dealership no answer. Meineke answered right away. They got me in within 30 min, took it for a drive, then pulled it inside. I waited terrified what the issue was going to be. Gerardo told me, he bled the lines and checked for leaks and saw none. I was so relieved . I was back on the road in a flash. So glad they are right on Cicero, easy to get to, space to leave your vehicle in case you have to, friendly, fast service.Thanks Gerardo, and Meineke

So I took my Car to this shop because it was recommended by Silver Rock & when I tell you Jamal & his Team are so awesome...I would highly recommend that you Service your Vehicle with them. Jamal is super helpful & the will let you know what the problem is & try & find the best solution!!! I am very satisfied with the work that was done. Five stars + 1

Jamal did a great job of managing the repair of my car which was originally under warranty from a previous repair at the shop. For some reason they couldn't honor the original warranty because it was under a different management/ownership. Nonetheless, he got my car repaired swiftly. I was upset that the warranty was not honored to begin with but I understand the change in management. Jamal was very professional. I recommend the shop but only under Jamal. If it is under another manager, I don't know what you will get. Different managers produce different service delivery.

This was my first time at Meineke Car Care. I came on the recommendation of a family member. They did a great job replacing my rear brakes and shocks. Customer service is excellent. Jamal, the service manager, took the time to explain everything and answer my questions. I highly recommend Meineke Car Care!

It's rare that I have good experiences with mechanics. This was completely different. Jamal was extremely helpful and thorough. He explained what was wrong and SHOWED it to me before giving me the quote. Extremely professional! Update: got an oil change. Everything was great

The personnel were excellent, professional, personable and proficient. They even play good music from their YouTube channel in the office area. I really appreciate the fact that they take you into the garage area and physically show you what is wrong. I almost fainted when I saw the condition of my brakes, I should be dead, one wheel had NO PAD LEFT, PERIOD no doubt the one that got my attention with the squeaking and grinding sounds!Their pricing is right along the lines of dealerships however. I paid like $350.00 more than quotes from other places, but you get what you pay for. I got my car back by the end of that very same business day. Other places were talking weeks out, some playing the parts accessibility card, some just stating that they were just so backed up that they wouldn't be capable of even looking at my vehicle for a week! I would have spent $350.00 or more depending on the length of time I would have been carless, so, 6 in one hand, half a dozen in the other, you choose. I will return to have the suspension issues addressed that they so kindly pointed out...,after I rob a bank or two I do recommend this Meineke highly and will be returning, resources in hand, MC, VISA, AMX & $$$!

These guys were amazing. I called mid-day with a stranded car that wouldn t start due to a bad starter in a location I couldn t reach. I was able to drop the car off and they completed the repair in record time. I was back in the drivers seat headed home later that afternoon. Very reasonable cost and super helpful and friendly staff. I d bring my car there for any and all future problems.

You are talking about the man his name was Dave. The service there was outstanding the way Dave took the time to explain and give me every point of view that I needed to know about my breaking situation. I was in a bad way when I went there for my brakes and found out I had a transmission problem. Everyone staff included was friendly and understanding and took the time. It's a deal with me although I was a little burned up. Give a big hollow to the young man who worked on my car for his outstanding work. I would recommend this business pretty quickly. Was quoted alot of money for a potential repair to my broken vehicle, I got a second opinion fromanother local shop and received a similar dollar amount quote for an entirely different repair/parts than I was quoted here, I went with the second quote because the repairs quoted by that shop seemed more in line with what was i felt was broken (coils, vvt and spark plugs) and its been a few weeks since I had the work done by that shop and my vehicle has been working great. I believe I would have had to spend double if I went with the incorrect diagnosis from this shop on 96/Cicero as that would have set me back over 2K and not have fixed the problem. The interaction from the staff here was kind and I appreciated them taking a look at my vehicle in a timely fashion, just be weary with larger quote projects. As a local service (not automotive) provider in the area I hope to save someone else a potential headache. I paid their diagnostic fee and declined their quoted work.

This shop is amazing! I recently had my exhaust system repaired at this location. The staff here is amazing from start to finish Alex and Jamal worked together to get me the everything I needed at a reasonable price and was able to explain everything in a way that was clear and concise. I don t understand my family has been coming here for years it must be under some sort of new management. Firstly he tried to charge me 400$ for a trans drain and fill. We settled at 300$ but still completely out pocket for just a literal oil change when the fluid costs 20$ from Honda. Then when the tech didn t know I was there, as he was putting my car back into the lot for me to pick up he revved my car because I have a nice loud J pipe ON A FRESHLY flushed trans. That could have been quite literally life or death with my car. I was able to forgive all of that until I got home and saw trans fluid all over my plastic covers for my transmission and some in the engine bay (it s not leaking) I went over to my usual guy and he charged me 100$ for a drain and fill so I can complete my 3x3 flush MUCH more reasonable. Charge me 300$ for a oil change but do it right actually cannot believe this

After reading these reviews, it seems like this new management will be the death of this business. I went to get some work done with the old management. They were clear, direct, fast, and even gave me a discount on the work! I decided to give the new management a chance this time and it was a mistake. My car had a specific issue, but I also asked for a full diagnostic. I took my car in. They worked on a couple things, but one of those repairs was the calipers. When they called me to pick the car up, they brought up the idea that we should get the other side of the calipers done. I reluctantly said okay and it was an additional $400. WHY WOULD THEY LOOK AT ONE CALIPER AND QUOTE US FOR IT BUT NOT THE OTHER? Most legit businesses do both at the same time so you can keep up with your maintenance dates. A week after spending thousands of dollars with the new management, more problems arrived. My car had lights pop up on the dashboard, and I couldn't even get it out of park. I brought the car back (our second mistake), and they quote me $250 on what it takes to fix it... two days later, they call me saying its completed but needs $250 more to finish the repair completely. Now a month later, I have another issue, right in the same spot they repaired. Not accusing anything, but you put the pieces together. Overall, one of my biggest issues is the misquoting; waiting until I am about to pay you for the completed repairs to add on more is predatory and I say that because at this point it has happened multiple times and is unacceptable for the amount of money they charge.

Customer service was great, repairs were quick and efficient. But I was not so happy about was the judgment of the actual problem of my vehicle. I feel like we could have skipped a couple of steps if the root of the problem had been correctly identified in the beginning!

WHEN I SAY RUN FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE, I ABSOLUTELY MEAN IT! I am absolutely disgusted with the service I received. This is one of the worst auto repair shops I have ever been to. From the staff to them actually diagnosing and fixing the problem, the whole place should be shut down immediately. I use to go to the location in northlake with Dustin as the manager. Great place, great customer service, and great repairs. The distance from where I drove was excessive and then Dustin also moved to another location so I decided to come to one closer thinking it would be just as equal. Worst decision ever!So pretty much my heat went out in my vehicle, the first manager told me to bring it immediately he assumed the temperature gauge was broke okay replaced with labor almost costing me $1000 with the little funky $20 discount. It works for a little bit , I return because it s been a month now and the heat is out again. Well why would that be if it got fixed? Guess what? He s no longer the manager there so now I m stuck with Jamal and the group of idiots that replaced him. Although the first manager didn t fix the issue either so I m giving him no pass. So I m explaining the issue my heat is not working and I just had it fixed a month ago costing me this. So now Jamal says it s a sensor .. a magical heating sensor that was missed the first time I GUESS. So no warranty for the temperature gauge since it s a different part now right? How ironic. So they supposedly replace the sensor although the heat never started working after that. They warmed up my car for probably hours before having me pick it up which is the only time it was hot. The very next day NO HEAT . Crazy right so the sensor really was never replaced but I got charged for the work. I call and they say bring it back . Between work and school and below freezing temps, I am unable to bring it right back. I m near Chicago so you can imagine the week it was just below zero and I m riding with no heat. But they re keeping my car for days with no solution. Anyways I drop off my car AGAIN because at this point I m completely annoyed and fed up with the horrible lack of communication, the incompetency of everyone in the shop, as well as their lack of empathy to understand that I m riding without heat in the middle of winter because you guys have failed to fix a problem repeated times. So now 3 days no car . And they call saying there is a coolant leak which again I guess got missed last time now a hose needs to be replaced . Oh yeah and my radiator is over with. So $1500 dollars, still no heat and another issue later now you guys are claiming it s something else that you suggest I spend $3000 to fix after you have already misdiagnosed every other problem. Then not only did they refuse to refund any service after I asked, they suggest I take out a credit card to pay off the next repair. The sensor never was replaced. And the temperature gauge was never the problem. THIS SHOP AND THE PEOPLE IN IT ARE A COMPLETE JOKE. If you want your car fixed, I would highly suggest going to anywhere before stopping here. I m sure a baby is more competent for repairs than anybody in the shop. IF I COULD GIVE THIS PLACE NEGATIVE STARS, I SURELY WOULD IN A HEARTBEAT. EVERYONE SHOULD BE FIRED!

Such a great customer service experience and it s so convenient to be able to work right across the street to drop off my car and pick it up after work! Very reasonable prices and a great rate! Definitely worth looking into for all your car fix-it needs!! ;)

First time visiting this particular Meineke. I'm glad I did! Gerardo's professionalism is to be commended. When I called, he told me if I could come right over, he could get my brakes done right away. When I got there, he was welcoming, offered me coffee and water, got my vehicle right in, assessed what was needed and gave me an accurate estimate. They replaced the brakes and rotors and assessed tire pressure/replacement needs. Gerardo went over everything and I felt very confident about the work they performed. I would absolutely recommend Meineke on 96th & Cicero especially if you're looking for a clean, professional, shop with employees that have a good work ethic that gets you in and out. By the way, they're open on Saturday's too!Services: Tires, Brakes

If I could give zero stars I would. First they told me Fred was out sick. That's a flat out lie!!! He quit!Then they tried to get me to buy items I didn't need (told me I needed new brakes even though I had receipts showing Fred just changed them in March).This new guy Alex is a total crook and liar. Buyer beware. Do not patronize this shop.Update: Not interested in speaking with anyone on the phone. Nothing the owner could say would change my mind due to the lying taking place by the employees of the shop. NO THANK YOU!

Change of management = rip off prices and unnecessary work. I went in expecting high quality service as I received previously from FRED and I got high pricing and unneeded work quotes. Jamal was helpful but made sure the price was as high as possible! I did my research while there and saw that the pricing for the parts he quoted was ridiculous for parts that were not needed. I can now see why the lot was empty compared to how it was previously! If you are looking to pay dealer prices I recommend you go here! Otherwise find a better shop that cares and will tell you what is really wrong with your vehicle and not trying to upsell you! Thank goodness I am knowledgeable about cars/pricing! Got the job done elsewhere for wayyy less with someone who cares for his customers! Fredddd! A repeat happy customer is better than lining your pockets one time only!

Fred and his team are some of the most professional and careful teams around the area. Quick and efficient, the team at Meineke in Oak Lawn makes sure everything is done on the car, and for good prices as well. I ve never been more comfortable driving off any repair lotUPDATE:It seems like this place was sold recently? Went in to check to see if there was warranty on a repair completed under a year ago. The website states a 12 month warranty, the new owner stated it s only 6 months. I told him the issue I was having, as it s the same issue as last time. I m not very technically knowledgeable with cars and stated that the engine code I was getting is the same now as back then. The owner, without even looking, decided that the code I gave him wasn t the same code as before and therefore would not be warrantied. It s a good thing I found where Fred works again as I will drive out of my way to go to his shop. Corporate strikes again and a good auto shop close to home has gone down. I will be taking my business to other technicians that actually care to speak with customers and understand issues instead of trying to make a quick buck as soon as you walk in.
