I took my car early last year, and was told that I need new control arm. I took it to the dealer for a second opinion and was told the control arm is fine. This year, my husband takes his car and they recommend a new set of brakes and one tire as un-patchable. Took it to two other shops and tire was patched and confirmed brakes are all fine. These guys are definitely scamming, because how can two shops say everything is fine!!

They provided excellent customer service. They did the repairs as requested at a reasonable price and my car was ready in a short period of time. The staff were all polite, friendly and professional. Overall, a good experience.

I have been using Firestone for years now and I will highly recommend them for their tire services. From new tires from patch fixing to alignment and tire rotation (which can come out free if you get your tires there). Love how they have been able to squeeze me into a patch fix and been able to get me back on the road. Thank you Firestone!

Firestone (formerly on Belmont Avenue) and on Harlem in Norridge have serviced our 1997 Blazer and 2002 4runner! The suvs are old but well maintained. Jaime, Gene, Darlin and the team are always helpful and work efficiently. Service and repairs are explained thoroughly and completed in a timely manner. My family have known Jaime from the Belmont location and Gene from the North Avenue location. We have a long history with them and trust them. It's also nice to see the same familiar faces, Darlin and the mechanics! The same staff speaks volumes.

I went in for a noise coming from the front left wheel. Took it in to have them look at it. Never bothered to test drive the car to properly hear the noise. Left there with a guarantee that after $1,365.00 worth of repairs, (Control arm, ball joint, tie rod, and wheel alignment), the noise would be gone. The noise was still there. The car drove no different to me after those repairs. It may have needed that work, but it drove perfectly fine prior to those repairs. My best friend's son is a mechanic. He took my car for a test drive. Figured out it was a broken brake pad clip that cost less than a few dollars. Fixed it. I spent $1,365.00 and two days without my car, only to NOT have the problem fixed by Firestone. It took the kid half an hour to fix the problem and cost me a total of $30, with the tip being the majority of that payment. I will NEVER go to firestone again. I strongly suggest that if you don't want to be upcharged for repairs that your car DOES NOT NEED, and not get the initial problem solved, don't go the the Norridge Firstone.

I hit a pothole and it tore the sidewalk of my tire. I had my car towed here at 10pm and dropped the key in the box. They open at 7, and I had my estimate by 7:45. They had to order my tire, complete my alignment and they said it would be done by the end of the day. They were done by 10:30. They made a huge inconvenience bearable!

Great shop, great people and great service. Have always stopped by Firestone for any of my auto needs and they have always been knowledgeable and able to help me get what I need and understand what I need to keep on the road. Team here is great, with the proper communication of what I need, they will make sure I am serviced well. Friendly staff, Jose specially has helped me out a lot and been full transparent on any repairs and needs, great serviceman. And the whole team is always quick and helpful , I ve brought multiple vehicles in here and will continue to come for more

First of all, don t come here to get oil change. I trusted these people with my car and they failed and lied to my face. I went in for my most recent oil change and they told me they couldn t due to having a bolt stripped. Now, I have taken my car to them for the last 3 oil changes and they have record of it. The representative said today that allegedly, they called me last oil change and told me that the bolt was not good and allegedly I told them that they can go ahead and do the oil change. Now, I was surprised with a $1000 estimate to get it fixed. When I asked the rep what could have caused this, right away he said that it could be due to age. I investigated and this could also be due to poor handling of the bolt. He couldn t look straight at my face and lied to me. He told me that I can take it to another shop and get it fixed cheaper. DO NOT GO HERE OR YOU RISK YOUR CAR BEING DAMAGED. They assumed no responsibility or even addressed the situation that they caused to my car. I am no longer coming to this shop and I recommend everyone else to do the same. If your looking for a simple oil change, either do it yourself or go to a small ship in which you can trust the people. These people will lie to you and don t assume any responsibility

If I could give zero stars or undo the whole ordeal, I would. I had a small nail in my tire so I brought the car in. They wanted me to sign paperwork right away before even knowing if the nail had actually caused a leak. I asked "what if it doesn't need to be patched?" He replied less than confidently and with hesitation "...um, then, we'll talk about it." After stalling my manual transmission car once, maybe twice, they pulled it in and got to work. They said it needed to be patched without even showing me the nail they removed, then did their thing. After they managed to not stall the car this time, they parked back in front and said I was ready. I paid and left to find my carpeting filthy. See picture below. There was grease all over my floor mat, sides of the footwell, sill, and door carpeting. Did they not have those paper floor protectors? The guy was apologetic and whatever they used on it did a pretty good job... initially... and then it dried and returned to normal color. You could still see some dirt so I had to go buy some carpet cleaner and give it another cleaning. Not a good experience. If this is how they treated my car, imagine how they will treat yours.

I wrote my last review 5 years ago. Today, I took my car to Firestone and they are still amazing. Jose checked the pressure and reset the computer to eliminate the pressure warning sign. They are always professional. The other review still remains.My tire light was on and they checked all the tires no questions asked. They did it within 8 minutes and Eric was a great help. I will take my car back for sure. They care about your car. They did this all on Christmas Eve Day and were nice too. Hard to find people who are actually nice and care about your car.

Beware!!! If you have a high end vehicle do not bring it to Firestone. They do not take pride in the care of your car. My steering wheel and side door leather was full of oil and grease. When they came out to take a look the mechanic Jose was like not a big deal he wanted to clean it with soap and water. A leather steering wheel...who does that??!! They have low level mechanics here with no common sense.

I had a great service experience yesterday. The staff was courteous & helpful. They listened to what I wanted done & they were very attentive & they kept me informed every step of the way. Very satisfied. Very reasonable prices using my Firestone credit card.

We have been using this Firestone for years and I cannot imagine ever working with another Firestone or competitor. Whenever I come in I am greeted and respected . I always get repair work done in a timely manner. They are always on top of their work and flow . I would highly recommended this shop to anyone. It s hard to find reliable honest and kind store workers, you find no lack of here.Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, Tires, Auto engine diagnostic, Wheel alignment, Brakes, Air conditioning, Brake service & repair, Battery, Oil change

Made an appointment for an oil change and a differential oil change. Came that day and they only done the oil change. Told me to come back in 2 days to do the differential oil change and made an appointment at 11 AM. Came back at that day there was no appointment for me that day at 11. Regardless they took the car for the differential oil change, and when I came back after 4 hours to pick up my car the car wasn't even touched. Not recommending this place.Strongly disappointed.

I'm visiting here from California in Chicago last year when I got here I bought a battery and it was under warranty the acid came out so I went into Firestone Jose I believe his name is was more than helpful he order the battery for me to get there the next morning and I got there they replaced it for free and didn't even charge me for the service charge. they were kind they were quick they were efficient. I would definitely recommend this Firestone

I came in from Minnesota a few days ago, and ended up hitting a huge pothole, which caused an air bubble in one of my tires. I called Firestone and was given an appointment right away to come in the next day. Darla answered all my questions, was polite, and helped me tons! I already had the spare on, so she told me if I brought the damaged tire in, she would get it back to her mechanics to get the new one on. I told her I was going to get something to eat with my kids and come back. She told me the tire replacement would be about 30-40 minutes. We went to eat - leaving the damaged tire there. Jose fixed the tire within 15-20 minutes. I was impressed with the service in this location. I recommend! Thank you, Darla and Jose! :)

My friend who is 86 was told he could not leave the facility while his battery was replaced. There was no air conditioning and the temperature was over 100 degrees. I'm surprised they don't allow customers to be nearby at an air-conditioned location and just park the car to the side when it's done being worked on. Either fix the air-conditioning in the facility or fix this "stay in the facility or lose your spot in line" policy.
