Very nice workers and place, but unfortunately I asked for a standard oil change and they charged me for a synthetic blend and it came out to $65.00. Not sure if it was because I am a college girl that knows nothing about cars, going to get an oil change by myself, or because I didn t tell them specifically conventional oil.

It was very quick and easy oil change! Great service for checking your car essentials like replacing your wipers or other things. Would recommend them!

Truly the best staff, they re very kind and considerate! They are very thorough and honest, just great people in general. I ve been here a few times now and every experience has been a pleasant one! Definitely recommend this shop:)

We've used this location a couple of times for my son who is a college student there. The guys are always great to work with over the phone with me and in person with my son. We've had oil changes done as well as actual service work. Very happy with the work and the customer service. Great guys!

I specifically asked the price of an oil change, but when I went to pay and the price was more than expected, I was then informed that the price quoted was only a "starting price". Apparently an oil change only covers 5 quarts of oil, not what is actually needed, which was 6. There was also an additional charge for "shop supplies". When you're paying for full service, I would think "shop supplies", whatever that entails, should be included. It may not be false advertising, but it is certainly misleading and poor business practice for someone who would want repeat business. It was good that I used a $15 coupon, because with all the "add ons" I ended up paying about the price I was told I'd be paying to begin with. As a bonus, I got to listen to the profanities employees used in their conversations with one another. Won't be going back.

I love this Grease Monkey they do a great job! All the employees are friendly great customer service. These guys have a great attitude. They love cars and it shows. Very honest and knowledgeable. I've had brakes done, new alternator and oil changes here.

I used to work at an auto parts store and I ve had at least three or four women come in and tell me they took their car here to get something simple done like an oil change and ended paying a lot more for other issue their car supposedly had. One lady said they told her they fixed the issue that triggered her check engine light. I scanned the car myself the issue was never fixed and supposedly all they did was add fuel system cleaner to her vehicle. I also bought tires from this place with a warranty after about to week there was chunk taken out of the sidewall of one of tires. The guy who used to run this place I swear was always on drugs. He acted like it would be coming out of his pocket if he warrantied the tire out to get me new one from TOYO.

I had always taken my vehicles to this location over the years. Today though was a completely different experience. Went in for standard oil change with tire rotation. Took roughly 30 min which was fine, then they pulled my vehicle out and had me pay. I got into my vehicle, turned it on and two sensors were lit up. When I arrived I had no sensors on. I walked back inside and asked if they checked the tire pressure and why the engine light was on. They said they forgot to do the tire pressure so pull back around. I did and they filled up the tires and plugged the sensor meter into my vehicle. They said the sensor was probably going back. I asked they look into it because that doesn't make sense since they just worked on the vehicle. After 3 people looked at it, they unplugged the battery then plugged back in. Said that this was the fix and sent me on my way. Left a very unsettling feeling.

Love the Normal location. Was just in twice this week. Their customer service is above and beyond. Your employees deserve a round of applause here. I ve never had a bad experience here and will continue to take my vehicle and my wife s vehicle in when they re due for their oil changes. We re in and out in 10 minutes.

Grease Monkey in Normal should be rated best car shop in the area. Jeremy and Josh (two amazing employees) have been nothing but great to me. They truly care about the work they put in and you won t leave there disappointed. Quickly have become our go to guys, keep up the amazing work!

This Grease Monkey location has been absolutely wonderful to work with over the last 4-5 years. I recently took my vehicle in because I needed new brakes and rotors pretty badly (lots of shaking and vibrating when applying the brake pedal. The shop was not able to do the repairs that day, but due to my family circumstances as my father-in-law was in the hospital (and still is) due to brain tumors/cancer. The shop told me that the next day they would personally come pick up my vehicle from work, take it back to the shop, and then bring the vehicle back. We have been driving back and forth from the hospital to home with a safe and reliable vehicle now. I can t thank this shop enough for being able to trust them with both of our personal vehicles and my work vehicle. JB12 is the alias of the person who did the work on my vehicle this time.

I had the plastic skid plate drooping way down, as another oil change shop in town likely didn't fasten it up correctly. I popped in on a Sunday, and the young man, I believe named Rick, had me drive right in, he got underneath and fastened up the skid plate. It took him 2 or 3 minutes, he didn't even charge or want to accept payment. I would've given a cash tip, but I don't carry cash. I likely found my new oil change shop! Thanks Guys, great work & service.

The ONLY place I ve had my oil changed since my move to Bloomington. Two years ago.I love the drive thru service, friendly staff, and never having to wait long. Def a fan.

I have previously worked for mechanic shops and car dealerships for years. The moment I asked about the pricing for my oil change, ANTHONY, got very frustrated and argumentative with me. As a women going to a male dominated world such as cars, I am no stranger to this reaction. I proceeded to see him man handle my poor car that I ve done everything to maintain over the years. ANTHONY didn t know how to check my miles, got defensive when I tried to show him how and explain it to him. I guess this made him mad more. The arm that hold the hood up was in the way of the hood to close. Mind you I m in the waiting room and I see this. 3 times this gentleman tried to force my hood closed. Thankfully a gentleman who knew what he was doing closed it correctly. When everything was done. Mr.Anthony got very upset with me when I asked him for a break down of what my services costed today. If my boyfriend wasn t with me, I would have been scared to speak up. This man is bigger then me and definitely stronger then me. So him aggressively slamming his fingers down on the keyboard to magically give me my break down when he said he couldn t, was scary to see because what would have happened if my boyfriend wasn t there. He only gave me my breakdown when I finally told him I ve worked in the industry for years. I ve already sent an email to corporate. I hope I get a response and they do something about this gentleman. As a women I don t feel safe coming here

I was down at homecoming last year 2022 when my new car had a bad alternator. They said they could fix it that day and they couldn t get the piece in so we asked if we should have it towed over to Chevy as that is the make of the car. They said it would be under warranty no mater where we went. After I got a ride 3 hours home then 3 hours back that Monday to get the car they said was fixed on the way back to my place the same light with the same problem came on again. I called up and they said they would return my call with what to do. Over the next 3 days and over 10 calls we got NO RETURN call. The car broke down on the side of the road on the way in to the dealer to get it fixed.After we got to the dealer they said we voided our warranty putting in after markets parts. We finally got them to cover it if we got the piece back so they can turn it in. THE DEALER called along with us over 10 more times and no reply.We are still out money for something that should have been 100% covered along with a rental car. The guy who we believe we should trust did nothing. It's been a year we sent a letter FEDEX got it signed for and still got no reply. I will never be going back to this place sad because when I went to ISU, I used to love it. I read that they have a Warranty but clearly it isn t followed.Took the Survey and sent emails from two accounts still no reply back over the week.update. I was told they declined my request for the warranty gave no reason and didn't reply back when asked what the reason was. Very disappointing they won't back their own work as it was broke (light was on then) 50 miles of the shop and died on the side of the road a day later.

Very honest workers went in for oil change they told me I could get another thousand miles before needing to actually get an oil change. Most places would have charged me and sent me on my way so it's greatly appreciated. I will be back!!

Never go back charged 82 bucks didn t clean windows or vacuum they posted a 25 % military savings but said every body gets 20 coupon not friendly took my money didn t say thanks. I will never use grease monkey again

Messed up my car during an oil change a while back. Cost me $1000 to fix. Contacted both the store and the corporate number more than once and no one got back to me about making it right. No longer trust them to handle my car.

I have rarely had a negative experience here. The guys aren't too talkative, but that's ok. They're friendly, to the point, do great work, help me find the right deal and service. I bring my spouses vehicle and mine here every time!!!

I have never had an issue with this place. The guys are always friendly and helpful. You have to have your oil changed so you might as well just go to Grease Monkey.

Great experience here the last two days. Bobby and his team made sure I left happy each visit and serviced my vehicle in a timely manner with a professional attitude and even had patience to answer questions for a guy like me who only knows one thing about cars...how to drive them! I will continue to go here first for every service needed even if it takes an hour to make it!Thanks for the hard work and caring about my safety! 5 stars can't express how much that means.

The employees at Grease Monkey in Normal, IL were so extremely helpful. I am a college student at ISU and I went to start up my car one morning and it wouldn t start. The employees helped jump start my car at my apartment and then drove it back to their shop and returned my car in 2 hours. I didn t need to go to the shop at all! They were able to replace my alternator and battery and gave me an incredible student discount count! I highly recommend them for any emergency or any other car repairs.
