Firstly when you walk in it s very clean. Secondly wonderful and friendly employees especially Ricardo. Ricardo is amazing and he is very helpful. Me and my dad had a horrible experience with another mechanic at another shop and we decided to come to Car X and Ricardo was a great help. You can tell they don t want to scam you into paying for things you don t need. In addition they do things very fast. From the bottom of our hearts we want to say thank you to anyone who worked on our car and especially Ricardo.

The experience I had today with Jose was terrific. He got me in right away with my oil change. Even with an appointment sometimes you still wait way too long. Not with Jose. His efficiency was welcome as I'm swamped the next few weeks but need to squeeze an oil change in. He was phenomenal given how shortstaffed he was. This experience was a huge help to my schedule. Jose is an asset to the company.

Had Car X in Niles Illinois replace my brakes , upon my diagnostics check at my Dealership a few months later, service notified me that back brakes were not being utilized. I called management of Car X Niles and told them I wanted them to check what the problem was, as my back brakes were on active warranty. I was told by manager to come in at 8am , which i did. I relayed what diagnostics found and , manager told me without inspection of the vehicle that I needed new calipers. I asked didn't he want to perform a proper inspection and he replied;" for what? I know it's the calipers. " And told me it would cost an additional $300+. I then felt this was unprofessional as he didn't make an attempt and somewhat refused to even inspect the vehicle. I told him I will get it checked out at another shop, and he said he was voiding my existing warranty if I bring it to someone else. Took my Vehicle to Mavis and they found the problem and corrected what Car X should have at minimal cost. (It wasn't the calipers). Very disappointed at the unprofessional treatment at Car X who should have been aware of and corrected while installing the brakes. Will absolutely never go back to this establishment.

Jose was very helpful and good to talk to in detail about everything, speedy oil change done in almost 20 minutes with an extremely good price. Place really don t disappoint!

These guys scam. My sister brought in her car for an oil change because her drain pan plug/bolt was stripped. They told her they were ordering a new one, and then when they got it they completed the full oil change, but they returned the original stripped plug/bolt because they had ordered the wrong one. Now she again has to go back there or somewhere else next oil change because of the stripped plug/bolt-- the whole reason she went in the first place. A professional would have admitted the mistake before re-filling with new oil and offered to re-order the correct part. There is no way to change it without draining the oil, so she is expected to return there for the next change as the stipped plug/bolt is back in place. Didn't tell her until the very end they had done that, and they offered her no discount for their mistake. Also tried to sell her a coolant system flush simply because her coolant level was low-- coolant wasn't dirty, just low. DO NOT go here if you don't have a lot of knowledge about what your vehicle needs. They will absolutely take advantage of you.

Liers... I called at 3:02pm and was 10 minutes away before I came and explained to him it was a limo and running late... can't wait. He said no waiting and will replace right away. Buying two new tires. After almost 30 minutes... manager says it will be 10 minutes when tires will come.He didn't tell me that he had no tires in stock. Right now I'm running late for my pickup.Manager says not his problem when I said I am running late. Did not I tell him that I had no time to wait before coming.No apology and no discount.4:21pm pulling out... they had no cars in front of me. Should have been done less than 30 minutes...

Ricardo is amazing! I first went there back in 11/22 for new tires. My car needed more attention than just that but I was sent a pdf report (with pics and ratings) of all the findings of my car, which was so helpful. I got great tires and a good mail in rebate at the time for some of the services. So when I came back in 3/23 for an an oil change and tire rotation, I was able to use part of the rebate for that. Ricardo remembered me and asked how my car was. He explains things well and professional. The shop is always clean and he answered all my questions. I ve recommended him to my brother and he sees Ricardo now too! So happy to have such a great shop so close to home!Services: Tire rotations, Oil change

I stopped in today for an oil change, not only was the manager Ricardo very polite and helpful, but he also was super informative. The oil change was affordable and done in a timely matter! I appreciate the honesty work they do, and will definitely be coming here from now on.

Just as others have stated, Ricardo is likely better than 100 mechanics I've dealt with in my life (I drive Uber for a living, and before that a cab). Many mechanics I interacted with tried to "upsell" you (try to sell you on things you don't need). Many overcharged me. But Ricardo (and Jose), ONLY recommended what was totally necessary to get the car in perfect shape.That is probably the most important thing regarding a mechanic, is "can you trust them?" to do a good job at a reasonable price. This location with Ricardo at the helm did an excellent job at a very surprisingly low price! If I went to any other mechanic, the cost I believe would have been substantially more.Ricardo did a careful diagnosis, and explained everything in detail, and showed me when my car was on the lift what parts were rusted and breaking down. Therefore, I knew without a doubt that I am not being overly charged, which many mechanics do.You can 100% trust this location.Service: Tire rotations

I had a sidewall on my Nissan 370Z blowout. These guys were able to get me in very quick, had my tires in stock, and got everything changed perfectly and professionally.They put my spare tire and everything else back in an orderly fashion and layed down a bunch of paper mats for the tire that I asked them to keep. I was very happy they took good care of my car and were professional about keeping it clean.For a regular change or emergency, I'd highly recommend this shop for your car needs.

Ricardo is surely a plus to car x. In all my years that I have dealt with getting my car serviced, have I ever met such a wonderful, kind, intelligent and caring person as Ricardo. I had a brake light burn out, Ricardo fixed it so fast. He also noticed that my tires were low on air. Well being the kind person he is he put air in my tires. My husband and I get our oil changes, and my husband recently had some front work done. I have a car x closer to home, we chose to go to Nile's car x. People and service is wonderful. I always tell people go to car x Niles. Ricardo I noticed has the word CAR in his name. Everyone is very pleasant at Niles Car X. Ricardo is a keeper. How about a raise for him. thank you, Car X

Ricardo did my front end alignment after I rebuilt my front suspension. He made an effort to help me better understand my vehicle toe adjustment and I really appreciated it. They also very respectfully noted I had installed my winter tires with the tread facing the wrong way and offered to switch them around for me. Great experience with this location.

First time here - recommended by another CarX (on Dempster) because their tire mounting maching was out of service. Tom from Dempster set up the appt at the Niles location and sent me to Alex. The entire shop was super friendly, receptive to my many needs and got me out in a reasonable amount of time. Not only did I request a full tire swap (winter to summer wheels) but also an alignment and full bumber to bumper inspection as I was going on a 2600 mile roadtrip that day! Ricardo (the tech) took care of all my needs, even drove to pick up a filter for my engine because the delivery guy was taking too long! These guys are efficient, friendly and knowledgeable - they meet and surpass all my immediate mechanic needs. I went in for an oil change on a Sat. afternoon, I was fortunate that no one was there. I was excited because this means I can get in and out quickly. They pulled my car in and in about 30 minutes they were done.

If I could give this place not 1 star I would. I brought my vehicle in on December 5,2022 to replace 2 coils for my car ($250.00 each) and on December 25th ON CHRISTMAS DAY I had to tow my car home and miss work because the mechanics back there put a defective coil and another coil that doesn't even belong to my car. It is May 2,2023 and I have not recieved any of my money back. I have called and spoke to Ricardo many many times and all that he says every time is "we will send you a check" .... if you are a girl, you will be overcharged by Ricardo. Mind you, I waited 5 months to write this review. I was able to fix my car elsewhere for $90 a coil. Thieves.I will take this to The Better Business Bureau.

I went to pep boys and their service was awful, they refused to take me in. Went to Mavis, and it was the same thing. After almost 30mins, I came to Car X, and they brought my car in right away, showed me the nail in my tire, and repaired it quick. I would definitely be coming back soon for my maintenance. Bunch of scammers I did alignment for my vehicle two years ago the bill was around $80. The guy told me buy three alignments for $150 so I did (2021)two years later (2023)I came to do alignment after I change my tires the guy told me we can t do alignment because you already replace parts in your vehicle. the warranties voided and trying to sale me another alignments.How in earth your car will stay without changing partsSo basically, you re not buying 3 alignment for the price of 2 you buying warrantee for the alignment you already did for twice pricethis people they get a commission for what they sale and you as a customer their last concernAvoid this locationService: Wheel alignment
