First off, I want to say that I do not like leaving bad reviews for any business so I have to have a pretty bad experience before I will do so. I was looking to buy a new Ford Bronco Sport and contacted this place about one listed on their website. The salesman told me the vehicle was not at the location listed on the website, but stated that he could get the vehicle there from 2.5 hours away, and wanted to know when I wanted to see it. I explained that I was shopping and planned to buy "today" and had already been to another local dealership that had 4 on their lot for sale, but I liked the color of the one on their website so I wanted to see it before I made my decision/purchase. The salesman then asked me "Well, did they bother to tell you how much over sticker they are asking for the Bronco?" I told him that they were not asking over sticker price, and he acted as if he did not believe me. Then he had the audacity to ask me what dealership has them, stating "I'm going to go buy all 4 of them and sell them on my lot because people were paying $10-20k over sticker for those vehicles". Needless to say, I did not purchase a vehicle from this dealership, nor will I EVER in the future. I did buy a brand new Ford Bronco Sport that day from an awesome dealership that did not take advantage of me, and wants to be sure I come back to them for all my vehicle purchases in the future. Smart businesses see the need for customers to walk away smiling, and telling others of their awesome experience! Gregg was so amazing really helped us in a difficult time for our family had been dealing with a buy here pay here place and lost thousands. I had been saving and looking for the exact car I wanted for over almost 9 months, when I saw it listed on Auto Trader. The price was great, lowest within a 200 mile radius. All the features I wanted, great miles, excellent condition, etc. I figured there had to be a catch. Stopped in for a test drive with a pre-approval letter ready to haggle. We all know how fun that can be.Mike was great from the beginning. There was no pressure, answered all my questions, and full of knowledge. Went to look at trucks here a few weeks ago. They were able to meet all my wants and needs so I ended up bringing a new one home! Everyone we spoke to there were really polite and funny! They will definitely continue to have my business.

This company has no integrity. All they care about is their sale. I bought a Polaris Ranger 1000xp off of them brand new in 2019. I bought an extended warranty that covered the machine for 5 years. Sense buying the machine I have had nothing but clutch issues. There was a recall on the clutch and I took it to be fixed. After they fixed the recall I started having nothing but troubles with the crank seal. A year ago there was all different staff in there and they worked with me. Warranty covered it. It has happened again and now they are saying warranty does not cover the clutch. On top of that they are charging me for looking at the machine. I will never buy from then again because they sold me a faulty machine and refuse to hold up their end of the deal.

Excellent service and friendly staff! I can say i've never had an easier buying experience than dealing with these folks. A simple phone call later they had paperwork ready and I went home with an amazing car!

I had appointment to have my truck serviced and I was greeted with a warm hello from the gentleman at the service desk. He promptly addressed my appointment and 40 minutes later I was on my way. Very professional and courteous.

I called Pennington and asked about a truck that was on their website and auto trader. Was told the truck was sold. A week later I see the truck still listed and call the dealership. I am then told it sold yesterday . So the first guy either lied or was ignorant of the inventory. Unprofessional all the way around. Lesson-don t rely on calling these guys to see if a truck is still available.

Back on January 12th I had contacted your Newton location about a truck price. It was listed at $29,875 and a couple days before it was at $35,xxx. I called they said they would honor the price. My wife and I drove an hour to looked at said truck and possibly buy. Show up no keys to be found. Sat at dealership for three hours while searching for keys. The man I was dealing with said that they would promise to not sell the truck from under me. Was told they would make new keys and deliver the truck to me in a couple days. Would let me know when keys were done. Received no updates, had to call to get updates. Talked to Jason the sales manager about keys he said keys were in Centralia getting programmed. He said he would call me when done. I called this afternoon and had received information of the vehicle being sold on 2-2-23. Very unprofessional.

There was a mixup with the refund check my husband was suppose to get from here and Jason took care of it immediately. He worked on his off day to overnight it for us and my family is so grateful to him for it. Such an awesome place with awesome people!

The price of the car was $16,000 and when I got my car note, I owed $27,000. I brought $6,000 down and that money disappeared. My salesman Greg Allen will not answer the phone. Never could reach him after.

Came here about a year ago to see about purchasing a car, but knew I would most likely get denied due to my credit score. I was right, but they told me how to build my score up some and how to go about purchasing a car at a later date. Went in yesterday and I've got my car, as well as some great service! Worked with Gregg specifically, and if you need someone who will work with you and who actually cares, I highly recommend going to Pennington. I couldn't be happier with my purchase and the service provided to me by this dealership.

Salesman seemed really nice at first. We were trading in an suv for a minivan. The minivan had a cracked taillight and needed a new battery. Both were to be fixed once the items came in. I ve called multiple times trying to get ahold of the salesman or someone who would answer my questions. Never have gotten a response and we were sold a vehicle that had multiple mechanical problems that we were not told about. Check engine light turned on 2 days after the sale and I have not been able to get a response from anyone to take care of the problem. Would not recommend using this dealership. Anything to make the sale and then forget about customer service.

Went to Pennington Fore for a service on my vehicle.Brock in service has always been top notch and very helpful. Bought this vehicle 3 years ago at Pennington and the experience was not very good. Swore I would never buy another from them. While waiting on my service to be completed, I was talking with a salesman Brett Britton. Told him my story and he ask if I was looking to trade on something newer. After talking with Brett an hour or so I decided to purchase another vehicle. Brett was very helpful and the experience was greatly appreciated this time around. Only complaint is the wait time to get into the finance lady. I was there about 4 hours. Special shout out to her and all she goes through.

Just would like to say that My salesman Michael Guimaraes is a great saleman. I'm very happy with the services Michael provided, with no pressure and the easier car deal I ever made. What an AMAZING dealership! My husband and I just purchased a 2013 Dodge Ram truck from here and had the BEST experience. From the moment we arrived and Michael seen us pull up and came out to help, to Greg working with us to get the deal done and Tara doing all our paperwork we were treated like family! Very disappointed with the way they do business. Was doing a deal over the phone because I live two and a half hours away. We settled on a price and had financing lined up. Told them that if the test drive and everything went well we had a deal and was told that the car was parked out back for the night and wasn t going anywhere and that they would get my payment information the next morning to put a deposit down to hold the car. Well the next day I gave my payment info for a deposit and the salesman said he wouldn t charge my card unless someone tried to buy it. Well later that day I got a call from the manager who said the car had been sold and that was it. My credit has been damaged by three points and I have nothing to show for it. If ya go by the letter of the law the car technically wasn t on hold but we had a verbal agreement. Just a low level way to do business in my book and everyone I talked to there trying to discuss it didn t seem to care at all.

Drove 2 hours to drive a truck, turns out the owner's son is driving it. Has been for three weeks and refused to allow us to drive it. They will "call us if he decides he's not going to buy it." Please don't bother calling, we will not purchase a vehicle from you if this is how you choose to do business.Take the vehicle off of your website if it is not available for your customers to view.Salesman was nice about it at least and very apologetic.

My daughter bought a used car from Pennington Ford. She absolutely loves it. It was almost like new very clean. She is a single parent with no credit. Building credit is impossible at this point or so we thought. Gregg was the man we dealt with. He is the financial person at Pennington but was filling in because they were short handed. He helped her get a loan with a down payment. Advised her how to deal with the loan and what she needed to with it in the future. He explained what credit score she could have within what time frame. I would not go anywhere else to buy a car. All was very helpful.P.S. When we pulled in the used parking lot Gregg came out to help us. My town only comes out when you pull in the new car parking lot. Need a car they will take care of you.

I purchased a used vehicle from them that was a trade-in from over the weekend. I purchased it on a Monday it had not been inspected they hadn t cleaned it so I agreed to buy it as is with only a known brake issue. $440 worth of brake work later it s still not fixed it s the ABS system. OK I bought it knowing that it had brake issues in so I can accept that. Upon taking it to have the brakes worked on I was told it needs shocks and/or struts. I didn t have this car three weeks went to put gas in it and it sounds like a diesel and it s running really hard so I take it to an auto parts store and there s a misfire on cylinder 2. This vehicle hasn t been any further than Mattoon Illinois from Greenup Illinois since I purchased it . Also leaving work the other day I was pulled over by the police because whoever registered my vehicle with the state of Illinois here at Pennington s registered it as a black Chevy trailblazer and it is a white Chevy trailblazer. I know there are no lemonlaws in Illinois when you buy a car as is you expect to have to make some repairs especially if it s used but the misfire on cylinder two could very possibly be the engine is bad so now I m stuck with a $4000 vehicle that might need to have the engine rebuilt this not good business.

Great Experience from Beginning to Finish. I dealt with Dillon via Text most of transaction make iteasier to go over numbers back and Forth, he offered me very fair trade for my Vehicle and fair price for his new Raptor on lot we shook hands. 2 days later I drove 3 hours south and was taking delivery of my new vehicle. Couldn't be any happier! I arrived 1 hour before closing he had truck inside and detailed full tank of gas we went over everything and sync'd my FordPassApp while I was waiting for financing room to be empty. Met with Tara in Finance she had me in and out in no time pleasure to deal with very simple and straight forward no games small town dealership. Would gladly go back anytime was worth the trip and made some new friends as well!!!

Crooked dealership! We were told one price and when the paperwork went through it was $1800.00 higher. My husband spoke with Jason,sales manager and he said he would check into it and get this straightened out. A week later when he finally answered our call he said he talked to Michael the salesman and there was no paper saying that was an agreed price and we were just out of luck. No apology and very smart mouthed. We called Michael the salesman and he said Jason never even talked to him. Customers,be aware of this and no matter how big of a hurry they are in check and double check their price. They do lie!

I never did business with this dealership , but after a recent interaction with one of their used cars, I would definitely not recommend them to anyone. I would advise anyone to do their homework, whether it be a used car dealer or dealership. Always ask for service history or a Carfax. I am so furious with this place. I am extremely respectful and never ever get snippy but I definitely lost my cool with this place. I had found an ad on carfox stating that they had a truck I desperately wanted for a little over $9,000 and they could finance it too for the perfect price a month. I have been looking for a decent prices truck and a decent truck for so long. I don't make much but this was perfect. I sold my previous car and even had enough to put the extra down payment on it. And I explained it to whoever originally took my call. I also explained I lived 11 hours away so I needed to have pre-approval before even heading that way. Every other dealership that I have went through only took 10-20 min to get back to me so I was respectful and I waited for a call back. A little after 2 hours I called back to see what was taking so long and they told me they didn't know how long it would take. I asked a few more questions and waited till the next day. I went to work and it was almost 12 and I know most companies go off to lunch so I called again to make sure I didn't catch them at a bad time. I was told Jason the head of sales would call me back. Needless to say 6 and a half hours had passed and I found that I was looking at cars. Yo give this place a final chance I called again. I was met on the phone by Jason and gave him the short explanation that I had been waiting for the whole day for them to tell me if I was approved or not. He responded with a snippy tone stating *now you listen here*. Well escuse me Jason but you better learn some manners. That's no way to speak to a customer expecially when they gave you their trust enough to give you their ssn and dob. I hope you are reading this and I hope you understand you need tl learn some manners. Maybe that's why your company has such a low rating and you've been called out on your bad attitude by multiple reviews. Oh btw, here is the kicker for what you couldn't approve not one hour later I got approved for a 2016 for $17,000, easy and was approved before that for a $30,000 truck as well. That how I know you didn't even bother checking my approval.

Absolutely terrible place to do business take your money elsewhere. Handed them a check for a used truck was told would be cleaned up and ready to go in a few days, a week later they would not release it to me. Had to get the secretary of state involved to get the truck I have already paid for a week prior. Jason is absolutely unprofessional and the most unreasonable person I have ever done business with.
