Contacted Marty to diagnose no Air conditioning in my 2000 jeep. He completed a $180 air conditioning recharge but told me I had no air flow. He thought I might have an issue with the cooling fan so when I drive my car, I would not get air conditioning while idling, but would get some airflow while driving. I asked him 2x if I don t have a cooling fan will my car overheat? He told me no, worst case scenario it would shut down. Then I asked him if we could repair the cooling fan for under $1000? He told me it would cost at least $1000 just for me to get into the dashboard system. I picked up car on a Fridayafternoon and on Saturday morning my husband and I drove to McDonald s in town. While waiting in the drive-through line, we heard a huge explosion under the hood and then wet green liquid went flying everywhere. Marty had me tow the car to his shop. He called me the next day and said my radiator was shot! ( By the way, I had just put in a new radiator about six months ago.) When I asked him if my radiator blew up because my cooling fan wasn t working, he responded well they just don t make things like they used to. I contacted the body shop that put the radiator in my car six months previous and they told me that the radiator blew up because You cannot run an air conditioner without a cooling fan. The car was towed to his body shop because the radiator was still under warranty and we no longer trusted Marty. The new body shop installed a new radiator (that was under warranty), a new cooling fan, and replaced the coolant for $768, and this included the tow.We won t be back to Marty!

Marty is an honest, hard-working guy who knows what he's doing when it comes to cars and trucks. He is a great mechanic and very personable. He has worked wonders on our old Ford van -- so thankful he can keep it running!! :)

Marty is a fantastic mechanic at a great little shop. Honest, straight forward and so far keeps coming in under intial estimates. We will continue to bring our cars (some of them getting older) to Marty to work on.

Extremely helpful in completing repairs I was unable to.Needed Jeep rear differential rebuilt that was beyond my auto maintenance expertise. Reasonable hourly pricing for work being done. Be sure to plan ahead, call and discuss problem & make appointment & get estimate. Usually 2 week wait, & some inspections or service can be done same, day like a/c recharge/discharge & inspection, but call ahead.

Very nice and honest. I'm so grateful for Marty. Fixed my car when I was in a pinch and didn't overcharge me. Very fair price!! I will absolutely return for any car problems!

The only place I take my vehicles. Has a price right away, and has always been right about when he'll be done. Took my car to De Re in new lenox once for an estimate on struts and was told it would be $4000 and that I should consider trading it in. Came here it was $1200 and I haven't been anywhere since.

I know I'm a difficult customer, but these guys were completely understanding and kind! Gave me a very fair price on the work I had done, happy to have my car running again.
