In all of my experiences with Naper Auto Works, they are very honest and knowledgeable. The last time, they saved me several thousands when I brought my car for a 2nd opinion of an issue. Very helpful, trustworthy and friendly. I will continue to bring my vehicle here and absolutely recommend them.

Another shop had just done a dangerously bad brake job - forgetting to reattach a whole caliper assembly, which caused the brakes to fail completely while my pregnant wife was driving. We limped into Naper Auto Works and they fixed everything, but more importantly they worked directly with the other shop to get paid and didn't charge us anything. We've continued to go back and they have always been up-front, honest and communicative, and I've never had any concerns with the quality of their work. Naper auto works were so helpful! They explained everything throughly, their texting function is convenient, and they sent everything that was wrong with my vehicle plus an estimate via text. A month later and the repairs they did appear to be doing well. I really liked their online systems where they show you pictures, pricing, explanations and you can pick and choose what work you want done easily. Good user experience.

Great diagnostics report! I took my 1999 Jeep grand Cherokee to Naper Auto to have a priority list of items that needed to be urgently fixed. They were very professional and provided me a detailed diagnostic report prioritizing items for me. It was a great help so I knew the list of items that were a safety issues that needed to be fixed right away.They also knew that I had received some repairs from another auto shop as I keep a binder of my past work orders.This is what really set this place apart from others. They suggested that I double check with the other auto shop if there were any under warranty to save me money.It was definitely worth my time to take my Jeep to Naper Auto. The diagnostics report alone was exceptional and allowed me to easily see certain repairs that needed to be done.It had pictured summaries of the listed items. If I could give ZERO starts I would. So you think an auto shop would let you know any charges BEFORE they look at the vehicle, correct? Anyway, we called them up and asked if they could take a look at our vehicle and we might need to have it towed because it was dead. (where the car was was only 2.5 miles from the shop ) My fianc� knew it was most likely the alternator which he told them. They agreed to tow it back to their shop and take a look. You would think any reputable/professional shop would say hey we can definitely do that for you but just so you know it ll cost $XX amount but they did not. They then told us it was going to be $170 for the tow and to diagnose it after we told them we did not want to proceed because they wanted $300 for a battery that we could get for way cheaper and we had just replaced it two years ago, they also wanted about $900 for an alternator plus labor so all in all wanted over $1200 for battery, alternator and labor. We had to leave the vehicle there for a few days and the owner or whoever texted my fianc� after we told him we would try to get it towed asap that if we didn t pick it up he would have to charge us lot rent like seriously it s a joke. I saw on another review that you have that customer a full diagnostic report but we didn t get that, if I'm paying $170 we should have gotten a nice detailed diagnostic report like the other customers, or do you treat all customers differently? . If they would have told us it would cost $100 to tow it 2.5 miles we would have just paid for the tow home instead and $56 for something we already told you was most likely wrong with it. It s all ridiculous and honestly very unprofessional. Seems to me like they just try to charge people us the a** and when they say no thanks they charge them all these other fees . I definitely won t ever recommend this place. You won t find my name in your records because the account wasn t under my name it was under my fianc�s and he was way too nice so that s why I left the review.

I have had several mechanics over the years with a variety of experiences. However, Naperville Auto has been the best. Their people are friendly, will answer any questions including in my case some clueless ones, and provide me with top service at a fair price. I've now been with them for several years and have two very old cars and they have enabled me to avoid buying a new car prematurely and saved me money in the process.Services: Transmission, General repairs & maintenance

We had agreed upon a price and time. It was expensive than the other mechanics in the area, but I went with them in hopes of getting a better service. But it was an utter disappointment...... Long story short, I decided to take the car out of their hands. Not to mention, once I rejected their service, their whole demeanor changed (which is understandable, but lol, that's how you treat your potential customers?)

The team at Naper auto has always impressed us. Their communication is excellent - phone, text, e-mail. Their process of taking pictures of issues to help us understand and providing well detailed commentary of the issues is excellent. On this visit, they even managed to squeeze us in earlier than initially anticipated. If you've had a bad experience with an auto shop (I certainly have), just know that Naper Auto is the exact opposite.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Brakes

The people at Naper Auto Works were professional and service oriented. I brought my car in to diagnose a problem. They determined it was the alternator and fixed for me.While they were at it, they fixed my battery post, which was loose. They also found an oil leak that had haunted me for years - they were able to fix for a very reasonable price.They went over an above the service that I expected. We started going to Naper Auto Works a few months ago after an unpleasant experience with a car dealership and used car purchase issues. Everyone we have talked with at Naper Auto Works has been a pleasure to work with and takes time to explain repairs needed. They do not sales pressure you to do all with them immediately (we can handle most light bulb changes). We feel confident in their mechanic expertise in making sure our cars are running well and safely. Love the online scheduling - makes it easy to plan appointments!

Amending an earlier review due to more recent work. Some of my car's electrical systems just wouldn't work for the emissions test even though I drove around for over a month. They were able to get the systems on and certification for me to get my license plate sticker. They also noticed issues with my rear brakes and worked on them while they already had the car and even threw in minor front break work for free.I mentioned on the day they would be done that I would be having my eyes dilated that afternoon so I would need my car done early. It was ready before noon. My car has a more cushioned ride than it has had in a while.I took my car in as my gearshift was sticking. They found a mouse nest in the gearbox but just dumped it on the floor of a car. They also tried to charge more than $30 for a replacement taillight that didn't work. They're ok, but double check everything

This place is the real deal. Excellent, friendly, and knowledgeable staff who are able and willing to explain every service they recommend to you. They do a thorough multi-point inspection on every vehicle that comes in, and I've brought my Pilot into them twice now! Had to turn down some repairs for the time being, and they totally understood--I do plan on coming back for those in the near future. I went here after being told by the dealership that I need a new transmission. The Naper Auto team took a look at my vehicle and I did not need a transmission. I was given an report on my vehicle and showed what was needed to be fixed. I will never go back to the dealership and now will only trust Naperville Auto for my vehicle maintenance. Thank you Naperville Auto for being honest and taking the time to explain everything to me.

I have had nothing but positive experiences with everyone at Naper Auto Works. They are very diligent, do a great job communicating about issues with your car, and have been exceptionally fair on pricing. I trust them with all of our auto service needs.

I found Naper Auto Works on google maps and read great reviews so I decided to call. Jim was so helpful and even told me to bring car so they could tell me if my car needed the oil changed or not. The service was amazing! Not only did they change the oil on a Friday close to closing time but were also concerned with the damage my car had with a recent accident. There were wires hanging and were rubbing on the tire. I thought it was amazing on their part that they took those wires and tied them away from the tire so they would not get exposed and mess us the electrical system. I explained that I have the repair work already scheduled with a different shop. The fact that they did this for me at no additional cost, really won me over. I will definitely be back to have them work on my car again and would highly recommend them. The service is professional, quick, and they really care about customers! They even have a free shuttle service to one s job if the car will need to be dropped off.

Naper Auto Works Is great! I needed a pre-purchase inspection of a used car. They got me in right away and turned it around quickly. The report they provide me was very detailed and saved me hundreds if not thousands in my negotiation with the used car dealer. I highly recommend Naper Auto Works.

This is the only place that has ever validated my concerns about conflicting information I've been told about cars, and it really built my trust in them. They helped me understand both opinions and procedures and encouraged me to make the choice that worked best for us without pressure. I did not get talked over or dismissed, and despite how busy they are, they took time to hear me. It seems difficult to find people like this. And I received that treatment from several different workers which suggests a customer friendly work atmosphere.They get four stars because of how expensive it was. But in reality, I did not compare prices to know if they are average or high. It's difficult to pay for a diagnosis that produces no problems to be fixed, so this is more of a reflection of my attitude and not necessarily their service or work. I will be keeping them as my go-to car shop.

Hands down, this is the best repair shop in the area! Honest employees, skilled technicians that will go the extra mile to figure out your auto issues and owners that are all about taking care of you and your vehicle. Naper Auto Works has fixed my car numerous times and always gave me the best value compared to other Car shops. They also were flexible on pick up and drop off times since I live far away. They picked me up from the train station and another time picked me up in downtown Naperville so I could shop or go to work at a coffee shop while I waited for the car instead of sitting in their waiting room. True customer care! Love them.

This auto shop is unbelievable! We took our car there for a broken serpentine belt and and idler pulley and they quoted us $1250 which was absolutely ridiculous. We took the car to a different shop and they fixed it in under 2 hours for $600. We re downtown Naperville residents and it s very unfortunate that this local neighborhood shop is a complete rip off that takes advantage of people. We will never take our cars there or recommend them to anyone! Absolutely Despicable!

I have turned my 2003 Toyota Highlander in for service at Naper Auto Works for the past One yer. Hands down the best auto shop I've been to. Honest price for honest work. And the best part, they'll explain any issue they encounter with your car in detail without being patronizing. Great crew ... Kudos to Jim, Bill, John and team.

It is such a pleasure to publicly commend Naper Auto works for providing me with service you rarely find these days. On the day my son was driving back to college, I called Naper Auto works in a panic because his car was dripping oil down our driveway. They immediately told me not to worry and bring his car in for a safety check. Turns out one of those corner oil change franchises completed a sloppy job on my son's car. Naper Auto works cleaned it up, inspected my son's car and eased my mind before he made his 4.5 hour trip. I told my son, next time go to Naper Auto works for service! Thank you Naper Auto works for your compassion and service. I've always taken my car there and always appreciate the honesty and amazing service!!!!
