These guys are scammers be careful and don t use them. I had a truck sitting in the ditch with the trailer they just pulled me out on the shoulder not even one hour work they told me 550 for the hour when I called and they gonna count the driving to get to me so all in all $2000 they wanted $12,000 and they wouldn t release my truck and trailer after fighting with them for hours finally, they accepted to charge me $7000

It should be called Mighty scam company towing is just the side businessWorst experience of customer service and over charge I have ever experienced. I had told the company on the phone that I need pressure hose replaced going from steering box to pump. Even sent video and photo. Sent them VIN number and make model of truck as well. The guy showed 2 hours late without the hose. He went back and got the hose and then charged me 2 hours extra. Charged 90$ for steering fluid which cost 8$. Charged 125$ transaction fees. Even though when i first called they told me there is no extra fees besides parts and 195$ per hour fees

I am restoring my 1970 Buick, GS 455 convertible, it was scheduled to go back to the body shop after I installed the engine, trans mission, rear end, all new front end parts with the painted frame. The tow truck company out of Joliet, Illinois Was supposed to ship the car today. Trying to beat a bad storm coming in. They were not reliable and couldn t do the job. The car was being pushed out on the street because another restoration was coming in. I called them the last minute and they were out within one hour to pick the car up, Captain Bob highly recommends Mighty, towing and recovery. They sent me a message that the car is now at the body shop inside. Why was I happy!

Awful crooks. Don't use them. They will rip you off and threaten to steal your car once they have it on their truck if you don't pay an inflated rate with hidden fees. Avoid these thieves.

This place should not have a business license or be allowed to operate I was warned right before they arrived that they always pull bait and switch prices I requested a bill ahead of time from the driver he then said he wanted was gonna charge me for the mileage to come to get the car a 95$ pickup fee and 4 $ per mile I immediately called the dispatcher he told me I would be charged just from the pickup location to my home apon getting to the house thes SOBs STILL tried to yank me for some more money I m i have called the BBB and plan on filing a complaint with the attorney general BEWARE DO NOT USE THESE CROOKS SCAM ALERT

Unfortunately I learned the hard way to listen to peoples reviews, This is the first time I ever write a review because in my mind we all have different opinions. I thought people or businesses should have a second chance, Well on this one I was SO WRONG!!! This was a horrible experience, by far worse of the worst. When I called I asked how much they charged, I was told $135.00 per hour (that was a lie) I also asked if there was a minimum of hours? they said no (that was a lie). I was told they would be there in 40 minutes (that was a lie). When they finally got to where I was at (3 hours later) I was told they would charge another $150 to remove the trucks shaft, at that point I was frustrated at the whole situation so I pretty much had to agree. ( I mean after a 3 hour wait) .... To top it off by removing the shaft they also broke a screw (that I had to get repaired and pay for) when they finally got to my location ( 40 minutes away from where my truck broke down) they charged me $625.00 !!!! I was literally stunned!!! How do you people come up with those numbers?? After arguing over the total they discounted $25.00 yes only $25.00 from $625.00. So I paid $600.00 for towing from Mighty's outrageous service charge. Unbelievably but true. This is not fair for me or anyone these people have made a fool of. They are dishonest and unprofessional.I would like to thank everyone who takes there time out of there day to write a review to warn other people about their own experiences. My suggestion is to carefully pay attention to all reviews and NEVER use these people for anything. STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS!!! I will be filing a complaint on BBB website as well.

Our Driver was top notch. He was professional and tried to help us get our vehicle started before he hooked it up. He got under my van on the ground when it was 6 degrees with a wind chill and tried to get the starter working. No complaining.When dealing with the dispatch office make sure to ask for a time frame. It took this place too long to get to me, and they weren t very forthcoming with info on how long it would take them to rescue me. I waited for an hour and 45 min. But the driver made up for the frustrating dispatch guy.Service: Car towing

Very friendly and likable when you first call. But that's just part of the scam. They want money at the cost of your safety and provide false quotes. They held me on 294 for 2 hours after they said the driver is right around the corner. Not a safe place to be stranded then strung along. I was quoted a hook up fee plus $4 mile for the tow. After being towed the driver tells me they also charge for driving to the tow site and that he came 50 miles! Then changed it to 30 miles from garage. The actual tow was 4 miles. Of course calling them again is useless as the stonewall you.

Horrible service and very deceptive! We were told they would be there in 25 minutes, they came 1 hour and 20 minutes later. We asked what the tow would cost, they said $65 plus a $4 feet for something. When we arrived to our house the driver said it would be $329. We were blown away! We called the manager, he said that if we didn't pay they would impound the truck. They claim that they were under the impression we told them our truck was a 1500, which was false. We clearly explained to them It was a diesel 2500 truck. They said that because the truck is a 2500 it's considered a medium duty truck and costs much more. We understand that, but they never told us anything until the truck was delivered. The driver even sent a picture of our truck to his manager upon his arrival. They could have told us that upon their arrival or over the phone but no, they don't tell you till it's too late. I would have happily paid for their time and fuel for coming out if they had told me it was going to cost $329 to tow my truck 11 miles to my house. Mightys highway robbery. I HIGHLY ADVISE TO CONSIDER USING ANY OTHER TOWING SERVICE, OR JUST PUSH IT HOME!

The worst towing company that I have dealt in 30 years where 30 minutes turned into 2 hours with supposed emergency prices gouge due to location. A driver that was.rude since I questioned the 340 dollar charge which never gave estimate before and ended up flipping me off. Dispatcher was slightly nicer however tried to justify cost by stating too much liability due to past experience with other clients. so that justifies where my vehicle was in safer location pulled completely on side of I55 to price gouge? The tow was only.14 miles so comes to 24 dollars mile! Too expensive for it's worth. Stay awayFrom these crooks

I would have gave no stars if i could have. Waited 3 hours for a tow. I finally decided to call another company. I called and canceled the tow so that the charges would not be made to my card. They charged my card anyways. Spoke to a man who stated he was the district manager. Very unprofessional. Argumentative, called me a liar, stated he would call me back because i was taking away from his business, but never did. I ended up having to call my bank and get the charges reversed. DO NOT USE.

If I can give this place no stars I definitely would. Total scam artist. Because of these people we lost our truck and will now have to file for bankruptcy. For over 2 months they were telling me that they were dealing with the warranty people. Total lies not one piece of document was sent over to them. When I offered to pay the original estimate to have the truck removed to sent to another mechanic. They're not trying to charge me 3 months storage fee which was not disclosed to me. Joe and Mike are the most dishonest people I've ever dealt with. Your best interest is there least concern.

Called them at 6am and they said will be there 45min to a hour. Tried calling them back after a hour and they stopped answering. Had to call another tow company to come. After when the manager and the driver stopped answering they had some lady that kept on calling and still Insisting for me to give them a chance to come and tow my truck after they had me waiting for four hours. I told them no that I had someone else coming. Long story short they still showed at 11am about 2 minutes before the other tow company and got in front of my truck and did not let the other tow company tow my truck. They said I canceled and had to pay $395 for a cancellation fee. I had to get the state police to have them move there truck. 5 hour of waiting and still wanted to get some money. You guys really need to work on your business or will soon be shutdown.

STEER CLEAR! Their prices may seem good on the phone but turned out to be a bait and switch. We were quoted $91 to tow the car 2 miles away from the house. When it came time to pay the total was $195 but they were SOOO nice to give us $30 off for the pricing discrepancy making it $165. Tried to get an answer from them on the charge vs quoted price AND an invoice for 5 days. After calling numerous Times they said they stand by their outrageous price and still no invoice. The guy I talked to gave some BS excuse saying paying with credit cost more and not having the keys requires skates so it costs more. Mind you ALL of this information was provided at the time of quote including that we can pay by cash or credit and they said either way is fine and never stating there is fee to use credit. Please save yourself the headache and go somewhere else it will be a lot cheaper and a lot less stress.Service: Car towing

Worst experience ever blown right rear tire on I 88 west bound in a Chevy cruze 2017 no spare need tow to shop 5 miles. From pick up dispatch said 20 min at 245 flatbed on the way 85 dollars hook up 3 dollars per mile . After several calls back to dispatcher I was given driver cell phone number each time being told 20 more minutes first time he was dropping off a car 20 minutes at top second call his dispatcher didn't tell him I was west bound and he was on east bound side and would have to come up at next exist but his name was Robert and he'll be right there time then 425 my aunt called him back again and he on 88 but rush hour now I was right at the start or beginning of i88 at 540 he pulls up but not in a flat bed and say the dispatcher didn't say a flat bed but he can make it work his helper Joe knew more about than he did got us hooked up the shop waited on us this rude driver Robert than charges us 45 dollars to come 85 dollars to hook up 75 dollars for labor that includes putting these wheels under the rear tires to lift up and 15 dollars for the 5 miles . Hidden fees no warning unprofessional driver,poor communication honestly I think driver was on drugs . Also reported to the better business Bureau what a scam

This company just towed my truck to a location that they lied to me about. They said they would fix it that night. I needed to to travel home 500 miles. In 24 hours I didn't hear anything after many calls I get told my truck isn't fixed. They lied about its location. I had to get the police involved. This was at 8 PM, they said they were on the way with my truck. I didn't get the truck for another 5 plus house. Being told it's on it's way. The bill was 600 dollars and they didn't fix it!! So I had to stay 2 extra nights in a motel.

Well, long story, short, I should have read the reviews before using them, they quoted us one price and charged us something different, when I asked about it, it was almost like he got caught in a lie and told me that they will charge the credit card what was originally quoted. After I sent them our credit card information, they charged the WRONG amount, when I called and asked about it they went against their word, I was told they would send me a credit for the difference, as they were NOT authorized to charge our card that amount, and they were FULLY aware. I sent a few emails and FINALLY got one back from Mike saying he would process the credit when he got back into the office, which he never did. I also never heard back from him, SUPER disappointing, will NEVER use them again. It is very unprofessional & wrong to charge a credit card the wrong amount, especially when they were told to ONLY charge the credit card the amount that was agreed on over the phone. They might say the reviews are fake but they are 100% true.In response to your comment - No - we did NOT agree on that price, Mike told us he would take $40 off and never did, you were told you were NOT authorized to charge our card that amount and you did anyways.

Honestly for the price not worth it, Charged me double all because of a tag along manipulated weather predicament..and took advantage of myself being stranded double the expenses it was only a wench out not like tractor rolled off into a ditch only had to move me 10 feet. Do to ice! I was already stopped on shoulder lane rear drive tire was on soft dirt and sunk in dirt, so I could not drive off.Ps. Truckers provide your Dailey essentials don t manipulate that. BEWARE this towing company is a scammer. My truck and trailer got towed 27 miles, dropped trailer at warehouse then another 54 miles to dealership and charge me $3500. I asked if they were joking and they told me they would impound it if I didn't pay for it. NOt to mention it took them 3 hours to get there when they said 30-60 minutes ,and they messed around with their lift trying to get it down for a half hour after they got there. Do not use this company. you been warned. I will pay a stl towing company to come all the way up there and tow it to a place near my shop before use them. Probably be cheaper as well.Service: Special vehicle towing

SIMPLY THE WORST! Please think twice before calling this company. they lied to me and cheated me out of your money! They made a bad situation worse! When I called to fix the problem they hung up on me, lied to me saying they would process a credit. I never received an invoice that was ledge-able to process for a claim. They charged me 105.00 more than their quote over the phone. When you try to discuss all the horrible reviews they tell you people are lying!Well I am not lying! THIS COMPANY IS A MESS!Their driver showed up wreaking of weed and was texting and driving during the tow. They will put your life in danger!!!JUST DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!

Crooks.Was told 30-40 minutes. Waited over an hour.Told rep over the phone I needed roadside assistance and check.When the driver arrived, he did not get out but proceeded with his equipment/lift. Resulting in his lift catching my front bumper and piercing a whole in my lower bumper. I screamed for him to stop as he was damaging my vehicle. He got out and asked him if he was going to actually provide roadside assistance or flat out tow my vehicle.We discussed possible issues. Informed him I know where to get necessary parts but would like to have them check the vehicle. He made multiple calls and told me his guy would come out with a reader and check it out.Then we went back to discussing the damage he had done to my vehicle. He told me it was where no one could see it and it wasn t a big deal. YOU DAMAGED MY VEHICLE! It is a big deal you crook.He proceeded to tell me the company wasn t liable for the vehicle or damages during the tow. Informed him I haven t signed anything or agreed to anything or any service. Tried eagerly to get me to sign and process the paperwork. I refused and informed him this scenario is now considered a collision. After hearing this, him making a couple calls, he got into his vehicle, retracted his lift and took off.Leaving me, my toddlers, my inoperable and damaged vehicle 2 hours from my hometown.If I can proceed with legal action, I will.This was not a service. This was a company simply wanting to get paid by any means possible with no concern to customer.Do not use this tow company.

They put the wrong wheel studs on my husband's truck, charged $1400.00 and the owner won't call me back. I have talked to the same person multiple times! They always tell me someone will call me back, that's a lie! Beware of this company!!!! Lawyer will be called $1400.00 is too much to let it lie! I'm not going away, like others did with bad reviews.

Box truck broke down on I-94. Called at 6pm and the dispatcher said they would be there in 30-45 minutes. They actually arrived at 9:50pm. They weren't able to fix the issue on the road, towed the truck to a TA truck stop so they could get additional parts. They worked for 3 more hours, and couldn't get it working. They said they'd tow it to a guy who could do the repair, but when we followed up with the guy the next day, it hadn't been delivered yet. Meanwhile, the bill was $1600. Find another company.

We know roadside services costs. But we were charged 3hrs at 195/hr to change a brake chamber air line that had a leak....Total bill. 709.98..There shop was20 min from our truck.Yes 3hrs.....and my driver told me afterwards that the wonderful Mechanic was on the phone half time with his wife... glad we could contribute. Won't use again.Good thing your in chicago area were repeat business is not a concern.All pro service

From my experience with this company I concluded that they live by cheating people of the money. Stay away from this company because this is a scum. They claim very low price ($65) for towing and when my son called they said that the price will be $65 PLUS for miles fee of $4. In my case the distance was 1 mile and I agreed. However, the actual price has increased almost twice to $113! They charged me for IN ROUTE MILES!Reading now the multiple bad reviews I actually feel happy that they did not charge me 10 times more inventing something else. They would. This is a cheating company and their books and taxes must be checked out.

Had a very good experience with them. My Freightliner broke down and I needed a tow to the dealership. They showed up in a timely matter. They didn t have their big wrecker(it was on another call) and had trouble lifting me. They went to plan be and had a bobtail come out to take my trailer to their yard and towed my tractor to the dealership. Very professional and I m thankful for that! Thanks Mike!Updated review: $900 tow bill for taking me 2 miles. They did store my trailer at their lot while my truck got fixed but still..$900!

Integrity. The only thing that comes to mind about my experience today. I needed a rescue from the ditch today . Although the wait time was longer than expected, They more than exceeded my expectation in quality of service, professionalism, and price. As a shop manager and independent snow plow contractor, they will are now my go to guys! These guys will take care of you and your vehicle!
