They installed front struts on my car and were ok with me bringing my own parts. I dropped off my car with the parts at 830 am, and they had my car ready by noon. I only paid for labor, and it was a good deal.

Dropped my BMW today at 8 am.Car is ready by 11 amReplaced front wheel hub perfectly.Great shop and reasonably priced. I brought my EOM BMW part . Highly recommend. We will come again for sure. Thanks a bunch Velasquez people. You are the BEST

I brought my 2013 Jeep grand Cherokee in for a wheel alignment and did not make it out of the parking lot before hearing a loud pop and my vehicle dropping to the ground, only to find that the air suspension bag popped. I insisted they take a look and they told me to take it somewhere else to be looked at, however I told them that they would need to look at it because I can not drive like this. I also requested a refund and the young lady at the desk laughed and stated they don t do refunds, after looking under the car the manager walked me over to take a look and showed me the popped air suspension bag, then pretended that he did not notice that there was supposedly a bolt missing that must have been missing before he said which is why the vehicle dropped on that side and popped the air Suspension bag. I m no mechanic but that does not make any since.Service: Wheel alignment

Velasquez Performance Exhaust was referred to me by a friend. I decided to give them a try because I was unable to get my car to pass the emissions test after repeated attempts (and a lot of money) by another muffler shop. They solved my problem on the first try and were very fairly priced. Because of that experience, I've since brought two more cars to them for service and couldn't be more pleased!Services: Auto body & trim repair, Exhaust

Velasquez mechanic installed the windshield wiper monitor incorrectly to where my wipers stopped in the middle of my windshield. Velasquez insisted that this was an electrical problem and would not/ or could not fix it. Another shop fixed it and I took the receipt back to them for reimbursement. Yet, Velasquez still debated with me that the work was completed properly. I spent three thousand in one week between two different vehicles. Never going back there.

Ive taken my vehicle here in the past, this time it was a new crew but anyways I had them look at my muffler noise. Got an estimate of issue but it was on higher price side this time so I took it to another Velasquez muffler shop to see what their prices would be & it was same muffler issue plus another issue & even higher price . Makes we wonder about this place & their honesty. I just wanted quote for the main exhaust issue & it was couple hundred dollars difference. Just saying, beware of what location you go to ......I'm starting to read the reviews & some don't sound good.

Dec 28,2021. I paid 2,000 for tie rods ball joints control arms for my Dodge Charger 6months later I take my car to get a oil change and there. Telling me that my ball joints tie rods are bad that s why is making that noise so I take my car back to Velasquez with my receipt of the repairs they did recently so they take a look at my car and tell me everything is good just needs a lube job take it to jiffy lube which is what I did but the noise and squeaking never went away so 2months later I take my car back to Velasquez with out the receipt for them to look at my car again and now there saying I need ball joints tie rods control arms everything that was under my 1 year coverage I had to pay for labor but not for parts which came out to 1300 lying to me to the 1st time because they didn t want to pay for parts is bad business and I drop my car off Friday morning and lady at the front call me at 5pm to let me know the parts just came in and it will be ready Saturday at 11am how unprofessional is that

Brought my running car in for a leaking radiator, left $300 later with a non drivable car. Had to tow it to another mechanic, & pay him to diagnose the problem and fix their mistake. They didn t bleed my lines correctly and there was a ton of air in them. After the poor job they did, the mechanic said he was 100% confident in his work and laughed at me when I asked if they bled the system correctly. He then diagnosed the problem as my engine. I kept asking him how he knew it was the engine, where the problem was and he couldn t give me an answer. Just kept saying I m sure it s the engine . 12 hours later he then tells me that it s my head gasket. When I went to the actual mechanic, he said nothing was wrong with my engine or head gasket, & they didn t bleed the lines correctly. I went back to try to get a refund and the owner said he can only issue part of the money I spent and $100 credit towards work to do on my car. But why would I want to come back to this location when they could ve easily blown my engine? Do not recommend, no matter how good their prices seem to be.

I took my car in for an alignment. I was told after my alignment was completed and paid for that my steering wheel wasn t turning all the way. I already knew that, but thought it was because of the car needing an alignment due to the tie rods being changed recently. I asked why the alignment was approved if there was a turning issue. Normally before an alignment takes place, there is a thorough inspection of the suspension/turning radius etc etc. to insure a proper alignment is done. I started explaining the proper steps needed before an alignment takes place. He hadn t done a thorough inspection then decided to tell me their machine didn t do all of what I was explaining (which is needed for a proper alignment) and only performs front 2 wheel alignments. Had I known I would ve never taken it there to begin with. Then he proceeded on saying that if I wanted they could take a look at it for free to see what the issue was. I had to reschedule twice because the guy wasn t available or too busy. When he finally took a look at the car, he only looked at the tie rods which I knew were fine and a quick glance at the rack and pinion and then called me back to say he would have to charge me to take apart and look at the rack and pinion to see if anything is wrong, WHEN HE SAID IT WOULD BE DONE FOR FREE TO BEGIN WITH. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND TIME DO NOT GO HERE.Service: Wheel alignment

Cheap fast and easy! Some one stole my catalytic converter. They got me in fast and welded a new pipe on in no time! If u need a quick weld job go here.

My car says FULL SYNTHETIC on the window. They filled my car with the basic oil change. They don't want to take fault at THE MISTAKE THEY MADE! All mechanics should be aware of what car takes what! When we went back with our receipt. They didn't apologize or take the blame. Instead they made us pay for the extra service. I would go elsewhere if you don't want your car messed up.Service: Oil change

They ripped me off and didnt even install my brakes properly. Then the manager yelled at me over the phone for telling him what happened. This place rips you off and does SHADY WORK with no insurance. West chicago has much better shops

DO NOT GO HERE FOR EXHAUST WORK. They do NOT know how to weld! I had them install a full exhaust system and every single weld is leaking. Came back to get it fixed and the lady at front desk got upset because she thought I was lying about the welds leaking.Service: ExhaustService: Exhaust

I am so appreciative of this place! My van went from completely normal one night to having a horrible race car rumble sound the next morning. I went to 3 other places to see if they can check it out. All 3 wanted to charge me for a diagnostic. I went to Velasquez and they checked out my van for free and knew right away someone stole my catalytic converter. The mechanic just listened to what I said and looked right under my van and knew. Thank you guys so much! They replaced it the next day and it sounds good as new.

Referred by an auto dealer for a $100 repair that would have been a $1200 replacement by the dealer. I won t say which dealer because the service tech would get in trouble sending business away. Fixed while I waited.

Horrible service. I took my Jeep in to get the exhaust welded back on. And They left the wires laying on top of the catalyic converter, resulting in the wiring melting. And welded it in at the wrong rotation so the O2 is facing the body. Causing my Jeep to shut down while in Chicago had to pay for $220 tow back to the burbs and another $200 to a mechanic to fix the job they did. Went back to Velasquez to get a refund for $60 I paid them for the horrible job they did and they refused to give me a refund and told me that my mechanic is lying.and that I have no proof that it was them that left wires exposed.

DONT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY.. Went in for a P0420 code. The mechanic claimed it needed a catalytic converter on the driver's side. Once installed it started running worse and throwing more codes. When asked about it, they claimed it was unrelated. So i personally installed a $50 O2 sensor that fixed my issue and was the issue all along.
