Very good service!!! Showed up quickly! Very friendly and polite!! I was very impressed that driver understood my problem and knew what to do. Not only did driver get my truck to start but it ran long enough that he drove it up onto tow trailer. If I had a compliant it would be that it was little expensive but I experience such a great service that I felt that my husband old truck was in good hands.Service: Special vehicle towing

I have never given this poor of a review for any service I have received. This company makes up their policies as they go. I went to pick up a vehicle that was in an accident and they towed the vehicle to their property. They told me I had to pay cash ( which was $1300 plus less than a weeks storage fees that added up to $1680.) They refused to take anything but cash because we were told the sheriff's department had it impounded the vehicle. I called the sheriff department and talked to deputy that was on the scene and was told it wasn't impounded. When I told the manager I talked to sheriff's department they didn't impounded it the lady changed her story to say it's their "Co.policy" to impounded a vehicle if the sheriff's department calls them out. We tried to talk to this manager and discuss why Illinois State law doesn't work like that. The other 1 star review was correct about saying this company demands cash payment for an unlawful reason. The lady started yelling at us and I asked her to please stop yelling at us because we weren't yelling at her. We were just trying to communicate. She became extremely rude and aggressive and told us to leave b/c she was going to call the cops on us. She stated we have 3 cameras and it recorded everything. Well it recorded her being rude and aggressive towards patrons that only wanted to resolve a problem with out her yelling. That is the kind of service we we treated. We left and got cash then went back to pay the $1680 and they upped the price. They did take off the extra cost after we called them out. Can't believe there are such greedy, hateful people in a smaller community business. You would think word of mouth would hurt their business practices. I will say a prayer for them.

missing christmas because of bergs. bergs towed my schoolbus that i converted to an rv 2 weeks ago. they are charging an unfair amount and breaking all of the laws 1. they did not send a notice by certified mail that they had my bus. this means they can not charge storage fees. this past dates so if they have screwed you, use it. 70 ILCS 50/1.5 2. they are required to charge the rate that they have listed with the city of monmouth and this amount must be posted at their location also. 125 was listed 550 was charged. 3. They told me cash only which is how i discovered the law breaking. they have to accept jsut about all other types of payment by law. They will not let me talk to the owner nor give him a message. they will not work with me. my boyfriend and i have 6 kids that we will not be traveling to see for christmas. they have our home.Service: Special vehicle towing

I had a flat tire and was going through AAA for tire service. I waited for a day and a half until AAA could locate someone. Matt from Bergs showed up earlier than the time listed! Matt was professional, friendly and very quick in his job. Bergs has a very great associate on their payroll! What a nice guy and a representative for the company!!! Bailed me out with a flat. Very nice and reasonably priced. Linked me up with a local tire shop and got me back on the road. I hope I don't need them again, but if I do, I know who to call.

So helpful, went out of her way to help me get the information I needed. Expressed her empathy for us after my son rolled a car, and asked if he was okay! It was late at night and she was very kind, patient, and reassuring! Meant a lot!

I had a flat tire outside of Galesburg at 900 at night. Onstar contacted this company for me. I was very pleased with the service provided. Justin was very kind to drop me and my daughters at a hotel 1 mile from where he dropped off my car. That was a kind gesture!! Thank you!!

Exceptional service. For my first ever towing experience, I couldn't have asked for a more comfortable setting. The driver arrived within 20 minutes of my call, provided excellent conversation and advice, and even dropped me off at my home. I definitely recommend Berg's if you're in a bind in the surrounding area.

Found myself stranded 3 hours from home. Called Berg's and he was there to save us. Aided me in attempting to find a service station on a Sunday, but in the end we had him tow us all the way home to complete the work ourselves. Very nice, and would recommend them to anyone.

Berg's picked me up in Good Hope and towed me to Moline for a reasonable charge. The owners step-son was professional, timely and entertaining on our 90 minute trip to the Quad Cities. He deserves a raise.I couldn't have asked for a better experience!

I mean WOW!! Highly recommend this company, they PULLED my semi out of a pickle and when I say pickle I mean ditch! Was having a bad day until they showed up and turned my day around with kindness. Very professional in person and over the phone! I m extremely grateful!

My Sister-in-Law had her truck stolen from her garage where it was parked as storage. The police recovered the vehicle and had Bergs in Monmouth, Il tow the truck in. They are demanding that she pay them $500 to get her truck back. She is on a very fixed income (disability) and its pay the fee or lose her truck. That's just nuts! I would stay away from a company that does that. Call someone else!!

Needed a tow, called Berg's and informed them I had myself and 2 passengers and was told I'd have to call a cab for us cause they only had room for 2 in there can, well called Bolins towing and they said it wasn't a problem but someone would have to sit on someone's lap!!!! So never will I use Berg's, wanting me to call a cab, what a joke!

Got charged $160 to be pulled out 3 feet...was told $135 on the phone but was charged $157 after the tow was completed...will not be using this company againService: Car towingService: Car towing

Very unprofessional! We had an agreement to pick up my car at 3:30 the next day. Now my car is blocked in and they're telling me how busy they are! Like they didn't know I was coming to pick it up! And telling me it's not my car it's my husband's!

Called them to tow my truck to a ford dealer then when the dealer Didn t have technician the Towing Company recommend a different dealer that could fix my truck towing said it was a different rate since it was further called back 5 min later to advise that I found a different dealer closer they took my truck there same Zip as the first drop I requested when the tow was done they charged me the amount that was meant for the other location which was way further then I asked why the lady said because we turned around and that the driver drive half way which I knew clearly she was lying when I refused to pay she started to threaten me with I will impound the truck if you won t pay meDon t recommend this Towing company at all liars and cheaters there are plenty honest Towing Company s around that area

Waited over an hour to get my car with no one in the office. Called multiple times and was told the driver would be here any minute everytime. There was nothing they could do. Would never use this service.
