Towed My Traverse To His Shop Yesterday, Not Knowing If It Was My Starter Or If My Timing Jumped & Locked Up My Engine. Got A Message My Car Was Done Today. Thankfully It Was The Starter, & With My SUV You Have To Take Off The Motor Mount To Even Get Access To My Starter.. With A Starter Costing $290 New For My SUV & The Labor Tony And Hunter Put Into The SUV, The Final Cost Was $405. I WILL STICK WITH SOLIZ! Amazing Mechanics! Very Affordable Prices & They Take Their Time To Over Look Your Car To Let You Know If There s Anything Else That Needs Work. 10 Out Of 10 Recommend!!- Taleana & Dillon

On Sunday, 9/3/2023, I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with Mr. Tony Soliz, the owner of Soliz Autoz. My story is long but needs to be heard.On the evening of Thursday, 8/31/2023, my car experienced engine trouble and needed a tow. I instructed the tow truck company to bring my car to Jim Whan's Auto Repair in East Moline. It is an excellent shop that I've used several times in the past and is right next door to Soliz Autoz.The next day, Friday, 9/1/2023, I called Jim Whan's to ensure that my car was delivered and to answer any questions that the techs may have. The man who answered told me that he doesn't see my vehicle in their lot but he sees one matching the description at Soliz Autoz. I asked if he could bring it over but he told me that he cannot because that lot is not their property. No problem.I called the tow truck company and explained that my vehicle was delivered to the wrong lot and needs moved over. The tow truck company apologized and said that they can have someone over in an hour to get it moved.Next I called Soliz Autoz and the owner, Tony Soliz, answered the phone. I explained what had happened and that a tow truck would be there in an hour to get my car moved. Tony was very nice and understanding at this point in time. He told me that he can just push my car over to Jim Whan's. I asked if he was sure, because the tow truck can take care of it. Tony told me that Jim Whan's is only 20 ft away and to go ahead and cancel the tow because he'll push it over. This conversation was at roughly 1pm on that Friday.On Sunday, 9/3/2023, I received a call from Tony Soliz. He apologized for calling on a Sunday. He then told me that somebody had hit their company sign, knocked it over, and the sign landed on my vehicle. I was confused as to how their sign landed on my car on Sunday due to him telling me that he would move it over that last Friday.Obviously I'm irritated as any car owner would be. I raised my voice, but I did not yell, as I'm trying to figure out why my car was still in his lot and why he didn't bother to call and tell me that it did not get moved as I could have just called the tow company back. After five minutes of not getting a straight answer, Tony Soliz became extremely hostile.Tony Soliz brought his noise level to something I hadn't heard since basic training. The man became very erratic and threatening. Google will most likely remove a review with swear words in it so you'll have to use your imagination. The following are excerpts from what he said to me: This isn't my fault, why can't you get that through your thick head? He called me a C**k s***er He said to S**k my d**k He repeatedly called me a M***er f***er I was called a C**t .Several times I was told to Come down here and let's talk about this one on one. When I asked who would be taking care of the damage to my car I was told, Your f***ing insurance, if you even have any. After about 10 minutes and after calling me a c**k s***er again, he hung up the phone.It was the most insane phone call I have ever had. I have a call recorder that I didn't think to turn on, but I wish more than almost anything that I had because nearly anyone would be shocked at how this grown man behaved.Throughout all of this my voice was raised but I did not scream, did not threaten, did not tell him that I'm going to meet him for a one on one and in no way was I hostile to Tony Soliz. In fact I made a mental note to keep level-headed and not to lower myself to his childish behavior.In no way should Tony Soliz be running a business that involves customer service. If you read my story and thought it too unbelievable to be true, I hear you. I would think the same thing. But if you look at Tony Soliz's responses to some of his other reviews here, you will see a small glimpse of a man that does not know how to respond effectively to criticism. He is an embarrassment to the trade.//edit// Tony has edited his response to this. The original I was called a liar and told more disparaging remarks. He has no integrity.

let me start by saying he only is getting one star because there is no option without. took car for water pump issue , after it was replaced my car started making a bad humming noise. he then stated alternator needed replaced , so that was replaced. my car still was not fixed after that . i took to key auto mall for diagnosis and they said it was the water pump he had put on. took back to him to have water pump redone. when i got my car back it sounded worse . car is now back at key auto mall getting fixed properly.

Tony did a great job on my breaks and gotten them done fast. I appreciated him taking time out of his busy schedule to get my vechele fixed.

Car had engine troubles and brought it in near closing time. The gentleman stayed and worked on the engine until it was fixed.
