I've visited McLaughlin for many years now, expecting my likely next purchase of a vehicle to be a Subaru Forester. Unfortunately, just as I was planning to buy a vehicle I came to learn that my contact for all this time had recently left to pursue other opportunities.So I went to the dealership to speak with someone new. When I arrived, I found that the showroom was seemingly bereft of unattached sales people. So I decided to walk around the lot and browse the vehicles the old fashioned way, hoping that eventually someone would join me that could sell me a Subaru.It didn't take long. I was barely a few cars in when Brandon Ellis come out of McLaughlin Cadillac, part of the same dealership in the same parking lot, but out of a different building. Brandon was everything I wanted in a salesperson. He was happy to discuss my car preferences, and answer any questions, but he didn't push. I specifically wanted to test drive a Crosstrek and a Forester, so he lined it up for me and talked me through some of the features of each car.The whole experience was easy and enjoyable, and they were even willing to do a dealer trade to get the colors of exterior and interior (love that brown leather) that I most wanted.I highly recommend McLaughlin Subaru and Brandon Ellis in particular... though you may want to step into the Cadillac building to find him.By the way, the pics are actually of a used vehicle because my dealer trade arrives today. They just happened to have the same colors in a used vehicle right there on the lot.

I enjoy going to McLaughlin Subaru. I've had a relationship with them for several years and the service has been great. Associates, sales people and maintenance staff along with leadership are friendly, kind and helpful! They always take care of me and check to make sure I'm comfortable. They provide service in a timely manner and their waiting area is well stocked with treats and fresh fruit. The restrooms and show room are always clean. I actually drive from another state to have a relationship with them. I've always felt it's worth the drive, except on snowy days! (smile)

This is the best visit I have had to McLaughlin's service department in the last couple of years! TYLER was FANTASTIC! He was kind, caring, courteous and kept me up to date on my service as it was happening. He was respectful and helpful, too. He also took the time to reset my clock in my car, even though he was busy. I could not have asked for a better experience! I really hope I get to have TYLER again as my service advisor! Keep up the great work, TYLER! Thank you so much!!!

I ve been going to this dealer for my 2016 legacy since I bought it there 8 years ago. I ve watched the customer service take a huge nose dive. They take advantage of customers if they don t know any better. Their service department manager was sitting 5 ft away while I was getting frustrated with one of his employees and never stepped in to help fix issues. Their parts department tried selling me a part for $710. I showed them I could have ordered it on the McLaughlin subaru website and had it delivered to their service department for almost $60 dollars cheaper and they would not match the price. I would say they care more about money than giving great service. Not at all how they operated 8 years ago. I would recommend finding a different Subaru service department to take your vehicle to unless you like getting money stolen from you.

I had such a wonderful car buying experience! I was in a car accident and needed a new car. Tayler showed me many options and found me a Subaru that fit all my requirements and more! He was great to work with. I talked to Mike (who was also awesome and knowledgeable) about leasing a car and he worked up some options for me, but I felt that buying a car would be better for me right now. I worked with Nolan to go over my finances and warranty options and he was very nice and answered all my questions! He even had to work through some technical issues with the Subaru site, but he got it all taken care of. I also spoke to Brian and Joe about the new car and I appreciated their input on the car and their knowledge on buying a new car. This is my first time buying such a nice car, and it was just overall a great experience. Thank you!

So bit of an odd experience.So I came in to get 4 tires value stems replaced because some metal caps I put on were corroded and stuck(not their fault). I was quoted 150 ish. I come in and they charge me for alot less and tell me the service requested was done super quick. I get home thinking wow and everything seems fine but I look at my tires and the pictures attached are what I see.The stems are completely mangled and look bad.I'm pretty sure only one of the tire valve stems was replaced the others were not butI have called multiple times to see what was actually done, but I have not gotten a clear answer. As when I call I'm told I'll get a call back.If I wanted my car to look like I worked on it myself I would have done it myself. I was prepared to pay and wait for the service requested.My concern is if they cut corners on things that you can see what happens when it's something the customer can't easily notice.

Took 2013 WRX in on 3/25/23 at 3:30 pm. Notified at 4P that day unable to determine problems with multiple "check" lights on dash and a more advanced tech should be available on 3/26 to evaluate problem. Now it is 4/2/23 and I have yet to hear back from them.This is not my daily driver, so not a real inconvenience, just less than optimal follow-up, so initially gave only 3 Stars.Follow -up call today so they have restored my confidence and their usual stellar 5-star rating.

We came in to look at cars fo our son. Joshua Holmes listened to what we wanted and gave us good suggestions on cars. He took the time to show us different cars, let my son test drive and answered all of our questions. We will be back tomorrow morning to finalize the deal. Just purchased a 21 WRX and couldn't have been more pleased with the experience. John my salesman was on top of his knowledge about the car and was great conversation and we waited for sales process to happen. Financing was super easy and their system is great! Kudos to the whole staff at McLaughlin!

These guys are amazing! We just bought a new Outback and everyone was so attentive. The follow up visit made sure we knew how to work all of the electronics. Even during some stressful times, everyone was a real pro, never complaining, working as late as necessary to get the job done. Very glad we traveled an hour to buy from these folks.

Friendly service department. I had the pleasure of waiting to get my vehicle fixed and overheard salesman Matt Truitt making fun of an Asian customer that had just purchased a new vehicle. He was blatantly making racist remarks in front of myself and at least two other customers. It is difficult for me to say I would recommend this dealership.

I have no idea what else to do about my vehicle at this point. After 2 weeks I was told my car was ready for pick upThought I d be removing my first review where a tool was left attached to my carBut unfortunately I can t because I can t drive my car now because they ve blown out or broken one of my front passenger right high & low beamI don t know if I should be mad, angry or ferrous at this pointBecause being patient hasn t gotten me very farWent for absorbers to be repaired & now I have absolutely no front light on passenger side I work nights so still can t drive my car to work tonightI m so frustrated at this pointI gotta keep taking my car back to the shop because either the parts malfunctioning or for my instance it s a front light panel is outWhen nothing was wrong with my vehicle at all besides absorbersHELP HELP HELP!!!!! ME!!!I will be returning first thing in the morning to complain and have my car repaired & returned to me and meet the approval they would demand if it was one their vehicles!!

I took in my Subaru Ascent for a 12,500 mile service maintenance appointment. I voiced a concern regarding a tire that consistently showed low pressure but never got lower than a certain psi. I chose to wait onsite. McLaughlin Subaru has one of the finely stocked waiting areas I ve ever been privy to waiting for my vehicle. It s clean, has a variety of snacks ( salty, sweets and fruits!) and at least 6 different varieties of beverages. It is not a chore to wait for my vehicle to be serviced. They also provide free wi-fi and a work station is available.My service was completed within the time period I had been given. My service team took care of the maintenance and also took care of the issue of the low tire pressure at no additional cost! That type of courtesy is almost unheard of nowadays!

Absolutely the best of the best! First class sales and service.Soft drinks, snacks, internet, comfortable seats, and television make the wait seem short. Their team and facility is top notch. Just bought another car and was treated top notch again. Iwould recommend McLaughlins to anyone considering a new or used vehicle.

I've owned a 2021 Subaru outback since December 2020 I purchased from this dealership. I have had to bring my 2021 Subaru outback in for a warranty parts replacement 4 times now, Everytime I have had a part ordered nobody has contacted me to let me know the part is in.I live 1.5 hours 1 direction which the drive is no issue for me normally, I had a part ordered under warranty 1 month ago and tried to set up an appointment because I knew I was going to be in town for the week but I was told they won't set it up without the part and they could get in in ASAP when the part arrived. I have called time after time to check on the part with no response back. With no response I had to physically come to the dealership to talk to a manager because apparently leaving a message means you're going to get ignored. I finally talk to somebody and they tell me I'm going to get in right away, after waiting 2 hours for a 30 minute job I call the dealership to check on the status but no one answers the phone. I make my way back to the shop to find out they never ever started it.0/10 communication, would not recommend bringing a car here for service.

Amazing experience all around. Great customer service, Matt is by far the most honest salesperson I've worked with. They listen to you, work with you, and genuinely don't try to push you in any direction. However, they do make sure that the customer is fully informed about their car of interest before purchase. Matt gave me a full tour of every feature without me even asking, so I knew what to do right after driving off the lot, and followed up with me throughout the week to make sure I was all set.Amazing dealership! Love my Subaru as well. Best decision ever.

I purchased a new Subaru off the lot a week ago, Unfortunately I did have issues with my new car being detailed. This is a brand new vehicle and it did need to be brought back to be detailed via the outside which did have film residue and some scratches (all buffed out at the body shop with Justin) no problems there! Completely understandable with the film residue as it has been very hot and the adhesive was just left in some places from the protective film on transport. Pertaining to the inside it did need to be vacuumed and cleaned as you could see there was interior cleaner spray marks all over the car as tho the product was just sprayed and not wiped down with a cloth. There were patches from the cleaner on the center consuls as well that needed cleaned that I pointed out to Omar the salesman assisting me for an initial test drive of the vehicle.Moving forward we did proceed to talk about our options and continued to work with Omar. He took care of everything we needed to make the deal happen! He was very pleasant, funny, not pushy and very laid back which is greatly appreciate. I didn t feel pressured in any way which can come across with some salesman. He took action in making this deal work for us. Started with a test drive and drove that same vehicle off the lot. I m very happy with his service provided.Unfortunately,I did have to bring the vehicle back due to the detail department not being there after 4pm Saturday the day of purchase. Omar said to bring the vehicle back we will get it right for you! I brought it back and received a loaner for the inconvenience. When I came back to pick up my new car the outside looked great, no more scratches and all the film residue was gone. I had to ask one of the sales consultants Leah to assist me in regards to the inside as we walked around my car to make sure everything in fact was good to drive off and take home. Leah did state she took the vehicle back that morning and pointed out all of the areas of concern that needed a second cleaning on the day of drop off (Monday). On both of our inspections, detail stated the vehicle was once again cleaned, but with her and I looking at the vehicle, all of the same spots were there. There was still spray mark residue all over the vehicle that was there the first time. The leather cleaner was still all over the center consul, making it white in some areas so detailed did not clean the areas specified. Leah did state she was going to speak with Omar about this, and to Josh in management. With that being said the only issue I had was with the full physical detail of the car. When purchasing a new vehicle you would want it brand new, clean, up to par to just drive it off the lot and in this situation it was not. Omar did call me after pick up Monday and I did let him know about everything once again not being cleaned, he did say he was going to speak with Leah about this issue so it does not happen in the future.Everyone again was very apologetic and appreciated me enter my purchase. I will be a returning customer as this is my second Subaru and I ve never had any prior problems, this is a first.

Outstanding Customer Service from McLaughlin Subaru. The team at McLaughlin, especially Leah, Josh and Nolan; provided me and my family with an excellent customer experience. My situation was very difficult and complex. The team did an excellent job of handling my unique situation and went out of their way to ensure I walked away 100% satisfied. It is very doubtful other dealerships would have handled this situation as professionally or as accommodating as they did. Their professionalism, customer service and expertise is why I will always recommend McLaughlin Subaru to my family and friends. Leah was my sales rep and deserves an individual five star rating for a job well done. Great job McLaughlin Subaru.

Family purchased a Subaru Forester this month. Kris Hutton provided us with superb service. He was very patient, thorough and courteous. Kris helped the process go very smooth, provided us with space for bilingual translation and was very helpful.Lou Stella was very helpful and thorough.We appreciated all of their help and professionalism! They have a great team and great to work with. We definitely recommend them to family and friends!

MCLAUGHLIN MOTORS SUBARU IN MOLINE ILLINOIS IS THE MOST DISHONEST DEALERSHIP & SERVICE IN ALL OF THE QUAD CITIES and Beyond!!!! If I could leave a negative stars, I would. The sales department is just as SUPER shady. But THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT IS COMPLETELY DISHONEST! They really should be investigated for deceptive practices, i.e. bait and switching. Not bothering to talk to the customer or ask the proper questions and getting important information needed to service you adequately. When you get your car trapped down there, they then tell you the repair is going to cost you 10x+ the amount. I found SHERRIE SCHMITT (Service) & Michelle GAU (Service Manager) to be extremely un-knowledgeable, arrogant, ignorant and revengeful when they are TOTALLY WRONG!I called to ask what it would cost to fix my car - Sherri didn't bother to talk to me about the repair other than she just threw me a price at me. Then when I got my non-running car towed there said it was going to cost way more then they told me. Well, if Sherri would have bothered to talk to me about the service I needed, I would have made a good decision and not towed it to McLaughlin because having McLaughlin work on it was going to be way too expensive. Completely a clear case of bait and switch. I would have NEVER paid to tow my car there if they were going to do nothing other than increase the price from $116 to $1,800!!!In addition, this wasn't my first HORRIBLE experience there and for me 3 strikes and you're OUT! When we came to a settlement on our situation - MICHELLE GAU, the service manager, OUT OF SPITE, REVENGEFULLY called QC Towing to tow my vehicle, KNOWING I called a another towing company to collect my car - They BLOCKED my car in to make it impossible to remove my car - holding it hostage EVEN AFTER I was extorted to pay them for exactly NOTHING!Can you believe it?!? They were gonna have my car impounded less than an hour of paying them and they KNEW I called a tow truck. All because I didn't get my car off their lot fast enough?!?!...lucky for me my tow truck driver took my car BEFORE QC TOWING could get to it.McLaughlin doesn't care about their customers unless you are a senior citizen who only buys a brand new Cadillac for $80,000 and allow them to fix everything on the car without asking questions. McLaughlin prefer customers they can take advantage of, and that is it!!!McLaughlin claim to be a family dealership. They are NOT! McLaughlin is only interested in you if you are a customer who wants to drop a ton of money on repairs without asking questions. They don t take the time to ask the right questions, to make you feel like they are there to serve and help you. Sherri SCHMITT, at McLaughlin couldn t be inconvenience to even take my call or call me back to ask me exactly what I was need of and then mad at ME for quoting me the wrong price. Hey, McLaughlin, please hire people who care about customers and not the bottom line of up-selling to make more money. Every customer matters, not just the ones with deep pockets. I WILL NEVER EVER TAKE ANY CAR DOWN THERE FOR REPAIR OR SERVICE AGAIN!!! I will absolutely will be sharing my DISAPPROVAL & ABSOLUTELY DISGUST with anyone who is interested in a car or in need of service. I will be delighted to tell them to AVOID MCLAUGHLIN MOTORS OF MOLINE, ILLINOIS like the PLAGUE!!!* below is a picture that shows them blocking my car in at the dealership & McLaughlin (Michelle GAU) called a tow truck company immediately to impound my car just minutes after paying them for doing nothing.Shame on you McLaughlin!

First-time reviewer. I'ma say I'm highly disappointed to say the least of the integrity of this dealership. Name is Bill Lee's I am a retired engineer of 40 years for champion spark plug/Federal-Mogul /teneco. I I bought the 2013 Subaru outback new. Ended up having tremendous oil consumption issues that's lead to it recalls engine replacement which my vehicle fell under. I was never notified or contacted about this recall I called to the dealership a handful of times about the oil. So when I brought it into the dealer they told me that it was not burning oil that in fact it was leaking oil so bad that their mechanic had to scrape oil off the bottom of my car and it was going to cost me $4,700. I bought this car new and it has never leaked a single drop of oil this I had two of my local trusted mechanics take photo and video of a non leaking oil car. So I decided to contact corporate to bring this to their attention and they told me there was nothing they could do. Long story short they were dishonest and trying to take advantage of this old man. My family convinced me I should write a review so others wouldn't get themselves in the same situation. So I hope this helps I will probably never buy another Subaru and definitely would not do business with this dealership

The salesman Brian is really nice and knowledgeable, so that s why we made decision to purchase a car on first time we visited there. However, the finance director Lou Stella ruined the whole shopping experience, he s extremely rude and unprofessional, after we decided not to add extension warranty, he mocked the reason what we said and was really impatient to us, he rushed us for the payment and didn t even care about what we asked. I felt really uncomfortable at the end of this shopping. This is not a good customer service we deserved when we spent bunch money at the place! I don t know if this is a good place to recommend to friends or family

I got a chip in my windshield that started spreading across it before I got home. Called up McLaughlin and checked to make sure my warranty covered it, and it did. They ordered the new windshield, notified me when it came in (just a couple days), scheduled the service, and had a loaner reserved. Everything things went smoothly, love this dealership.

Great place to find a good vehicle for an affordable price. The process was fast and smooth, as I bought a '17 Impreza Sport in a matter of a few hours. I love every minute that I have driven in this car. A big thank you to my sales rep Brandan Ellis; I definitely recommend him!

My oil light came on. I had just had a oil change about a month prior. I dropped off due to just having a lot of engine work done. I was told my oil was low. Ok well I knew that due to light. They told me they could not guarantee my oil was filled after oil change. What!!!!!I will not be returning. I was unable to speak to the tech. Left multiple messages he never returned my call. Rhonda was very rude when I called. Would cut me off mid conversation. Then they send me a bill for looking at it. Well you don t even know if you filled the oil the last time you had my car then you try to charge me.I will not be returningDo not trust them with my car.
