Background : I have a 2012 Cadillac CTS with 109k miles on it. It was originally bought new in Nashville.Story: I brought in my Cadillac to get a leak looked at after firestone noted a oil leak on my car during an oil filter change. I scheduled a time and got Mclaughlin Cadillac to do the assessment of where my oil leak is coming from. Mclaughlin Cadillac diagnosed it as coming from my steering gear, oil pan and the oil filter adapter housing. Their team recommended that I repair the oil filter adapter housing and monitor the other leaks.I scheduled the repair based on their recommendation. They completed the repair and I got my car back. It cost approximately 900 USD with the initial assesssment. Upon the first initial return, I noted that the leaking was much worse than when I had originally given it to them. They agreed to have me bring the car back in and assess the problem and see what was causing it.McLaughlin Cadillac scheduled me to bring my car back on 7 MAR 24. Mclaughlin Cadillac had my car from 7 MAR 24 to 27 MAR 24. I was told they identified a manufacturing defect with one of the gaskets, they replaced it and gave it back to me. They said they drove the car and ran it idled for 45 minutes and said there was no leak.Upon returning home on 27 MAR, I checked to see if there was a leak. Yes, there was still a leak. I called McLaughlin and brought it back to them the very next day. They put my car up on the rack and said the leak was now coming from my front cover, steering gear, oil pan, rear main, different cooler lines and possibly a valve cover. It's odd that there was now a leak from many different locations not originally identified when they put dye in the engine to see where the leaks were coming from.I asked for a quote for all of this and when they could get me in for repair. They said best case was mid to end of April. Upon coming back with the list of issues, I was told that the manager of Mclaughlin Cadillac would be declining to do the work on the car because my 2012 is "too old" and "things would keep breaking" and that Cadillac recently released a new policy that prevented them from doing large jobs on Cadillacs older than 2017.This is highly unusual and fairly suspect, it doesn't appear they know what the root cause of the leaks are in the first place. It also speaks poorly to the cadillac brand as when services are most necessary, cadillac will stop working on your car entirely based on their "new" policy. The repair that originally took one day, the second go around took them 3 or so weeks and now they won't even touch the vehicle leading me to believe they caused more issues they now don't want to fix.Steer clear of Mclaughlin, questionable business practices, ultra slow service - which seems low quality. You will likely have issues with whatever service you recieve from them.Update: In Mclaughlin Cadillac's reply they said it was mutually agreed that I would seek repairs elsewhere; this is untrue as I was never given the option. I was told that their manager decided they would not be providing the service based on their new "policy" and they would not repair my vehicle despite my willingness to pay. Beware dishonest business practices.

My previous review not showing. Had my truck from 4/18/2023-5/3/2023 kept adding repairs & telling me they were not covered by my ext warranty. Actually they were NOT running them through warranty company & just trying to charge me. Each time repair WAS covered they added a new repair! My PS leak turned into PS pump replaced, tierods replaced, oil seal kit replaced. ALL covered by warranty except $100 deductible, 2 hoses, gasket cap, wheel alignment & .8hrs labor should have been between $300-$400 bill. They charged me $1133. I received NO written breakdown of charges as requested & NO response from "service manager" regarding this & the SERIOUS OVERCHARGES! I DID receive a call 2wk later asking when I was going to pay the $1133 bill I PAID WHEN I PICKED MY TRUCK UP! STAY AWAY! Even my warranty company said to find a new place for future repairs.

4 years ago this was a 5 star rating from me.This is our family s 4 Subaru. 3 were purchased there. This summer my car a 21 Crosstrek randomly died in the middle of traffic. It is fully covered under warranty. Service had if for weeks then told me everything was fine. Then it happened again. I specifically said something needs done about this. I was given a rental this time. I was never updated what was going on. I can t remember how long it was in but over 2 weeks. When I called again I was told oh your car is done it needed a new battery. It was covered by my extended warranty. Now I have another issue, a piece of my interior is coming off. I called the receptionist was rude and not letting me say everything I needed to say. It s a piece on drivers side that is missing clips and coming off. I was told it s a 40 something dollars to diagnose and see if it s covered. I asked to speak with a tech as they should know what s covered. I was told no. I need to come in. Very disappointed in the decline of service.

I brought my car in for 2 issues, they said one was too minor to fix even though it shows on the diagnostics, and they were supposed to fix a wheel bearing and sent me on my way because they didn t have the part. They made me wait 3 hours for them to replace a lug nut and tell me they couldn t do anything else basically. Don t waste your time

I bought a certified 2019 Cadillac CTS I think certified means you're going to find things wrong with it , they sold me a Cadillac with a broken rim that was JB welded back together would not hold air, every morning I got to put air in my car before I can drive it sometimes twice a day, it's been 3 weeks I finally get a new rim for my own mechanic tomorrow, Don't know why a Cadillac dealership wouldn't just fix that to start with so there was no problem, if I was to buy another vehicle from these people I wouldn't give them more than 80% of what they're asking

I've been a McLaughlin customer since 1990, lately I went to order parts for one of my VOLVO XC90,I'm very disappointed with the parts guys, Gabe Masias and Alex Calvert, which besides not getting all the parts that I needed, said that, my XC90 2005,was too old, volvo didn't have in inventory the parts, it looks like they were just getting rid of me saying that, because after leaving, I came back, they didn't expect that, when I opened the door, I could see how they stopped smiling and commenting about me, very unprofessional from those guys.I went to VOLVO, because I want my car to keep running with original and reliable parts, even if my car is too old for them.

Great people and a great philosophy on selling cars but the real deal is the way they treat the customers. Whether you are buying a new Cadillac or an older Mazda you get the same great service and attention. Great experience for my daughter buying her first car.

The finance director, Lou Stella, was extremely rude and unprofessional after I chose to not purchase extended warranty on my vehicle. I've never seen someone dealing with customers change attitudes so quickly. Not sure if he missed out on a commission but warranty is the buyer's choice. The entire sales process was smooth and my salesman was very knowledgeable. It's unfortunate the transaction ended with such unprofessionalism.

This is the best dealership I ve ever been to, and will remain my only dealership going forward. As a single, young woman shopping alone, I felt so validated being recognized and being reassured my happiness was first priority. They got me an amazing deal, even during such a hard time with vehicles. Highly recommend seeing John (or honestly any sales consultant, considering a majority checked in on me even though my sale was only going to one of them.) my biggest hats off to Noland in financing- you made my day & reassured me with my prior horrific purchasing experiences elsewhere. You got another lifer!!

I have purchased my second cadillac in one year from Salesperson Jon Elliot. He is professional, knowledgeable, calm, and respectful. His demeanor puts you at ease. Any issue was handled calmly , carefully and efficiently. He is the reason for the five star rating. I cannot give the same rating to the finance person, Lou. He seemed "put out" with having to deal with us, with "no appointment" . He rushed to get me finished and presented me with "financing options" , which I noticed included extended warranty in each option. When I questioned him, he got very defensive saying "if you had had this extra coverage you would have gotten more for your trade in" I was happy with my trade in amount! He was very disrespectful. I will not work with him again. For my previous purchase I worked with Michael, and he was respectful, and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend asking for Michael specifically for your financing transactions.

I had the upmost phenomenal experience when buying my son s first car. Mr. Brandon Ellis from Sales & Mr. Lou Stella the Finance Director really went above and beyond to ensure we made the right decision. Both of them were professional, friendly, and detailed. As a result, they made us comfortable during the process. Left the dealership 100% satisfied and a great deal on a Cadillac CTS for my son. Thanks for the wonderful experience! Most definitely recommend them.

Employees are rude to car haulers. Especially the woman with the short hair and 80's glasses. Part's' counter employee has never looked out a window and seen a truck unload, ever. Asked him where the deliveries go and his response was: "This is the parts counter". Poor fella. Don't load for them. If you have to, drop, STI and leave.

Amazing experience is all I can say. The sales staff and finance staff were so incredibly friendly and helpful with everything and answered every little question we had. Namely Brandon Ellis at the Cadillac showroom, and the finance guy whose name I cannot remember, but I hope my name is on his record so he gets credit for our purchase. When we showed up, the car we wanted to looked at was washed and warming up outside in the frigid -1 temps. We were able to take it on an extensive test drive. We came back and talked price.. These guys really wanted to be helpful and sell us the car that would make us happy. Every time I made a counter offer, Brandon would come back with a fantastic compromise and we met a great deal on the car we wanted. He explained that they make their profits by selling lots of cars every month at amazing prices, as opposed to selling a few at higher prices. That's when I knew for sure I came to the right place. They worked with us and stayed way past their closing time to process paperwork and get us out the door with the car we chose.I would definitely recommend these guys for car purchases. I am overwhelmed with joy from this experience and the beastly car I now have in my name! Please, shop here, give these fellas your business. They deserve it!

I recently put a new battery in my 2013 Buick LaCrosse Premium that I bought from McLaughlin in 2015. After the new battery was installed, the sunroof wouldn't operate. I learned online that sometimes the sunroof needs to be reset after the battery has been disconnected. So, I made an appointment at McLaughlin. They told me it would take about 30 minutes to run the necessary procedure. They received the car at 11:00 am. I said I would wait. Two hours later, a young man with a clipboard found me and began to explain that the sunroof motor was "burnt up", and for almost $800.00 they could special-order the part and fix it. I said I thought it was unlikely that the motor was bad, and repeated the battery story. I asked him about the "reset" procedure, and he acted like he didn't know what I was talking about. He said a Master Mechanic "with more experience than you" says the motor is bad. I said I was sure it wasn't and I certainly wasn't going to pay $800.00 for that kind of repair. As I was about to get in my car to leave, I noticed that the post behind my driver door was crushed in as if someone had tried to pry the door open! When I loudly asked "What happened here?!", the kid said, "It was like that when you brought it in!". WOW! No, it wasn't! They stuck to their story until it was obvious I wasn't leaving without satisfaction. I suspect they must have locked the keys in the car and tried to force the door open. They actually admitted they NEVER BROUGHT THE CAR INTO THE SHOP (How did they test the motor?), so I wonder what they were doing for the two hours I was waiting? They eventually did order install a new post panel at their expense. But, the rest of the story is this: A few days later, I decided to take the car to Mill's Chevrolet on Elmore Avenue in Davenport. I told them my story and - 20 minutes later I was on my way home with the sunroof working and my car freshly washed! Total Charge: $0.00. Huh. The motor was fine - just needed a simple 2-minute reset procedure. Guess who gets all my business from now on?

Sent my wife to your store today to look at different models of Cadillac. As we have driven one for several years. She entered the show room & was ignored for 15 minutes by 2 salesmen sitting with there feet up on the window. Then a guy came in from the back & ask if she needed helpHe was helpful They valued her. Trade as fair, this car is very good condition, as your store did all service since new. I will be buying s new car this week, but it will not be here. Needless to say we will not be back & will tell all of our friendsJoe GrantEldridge, IA

Most unprofessional sales experience I ve ever had. Called Scott Schnabel and got the run around. Didn t return calls in a timely manner. Unlitmately made a deal then they sold the car to someone else that night. They did not honor the deal they made with me and blew me off. Beware dealing with this dealership! Joe, the sales manager was nice enough on the phone, but still did not honor the deal they had made with me earlier. Very disappointing experience and will never got my business. Avoid Scott at all costs, he will not get your deal done.

Got indicator light that one tire was at 17 psi. Service adviser immediately accepted me on "walk-in" basis and provided shuttle service home so I would not have to wait for an opening. They found a very large bolt embedded in the tire. Shuttle returned and drove me to pick up my car.On top of all this, the price was very reasonable. What a terrific team you have!!!!And by the way, the shuttle driver was very friendly.. Not that others are not. He sort of stood out.

Wouldn't service my Cadillac warranty told me/ recommend to go to dealership where I purchased. Also never returned my call, over 1 week and left a message. 1st and last time I have been there. Showed up show room told me to go to service, service sent me to body shop. Body shop had to schedule appointment. Waste of time for a run around. 3rd Cadillac I have owned and wont be back McLaughlin, even if I must go 1.5hrs out of my way. They were nice but no resolution. Use your own judgment as everyone's experience will differ. Also posted on doors you must wear a mask due to covid19, but all of their team wasn't also wasn't following same expectations on both visits.Brady Deery had no trouble correcting my issues.

We decided to drop into your place one Saturday afternoon, just to test drive a SRX. Well, what was there not to like.....the cost was a bit more than we were wanting to spend. Then out came this salesman named Jon Elliott. He made us feel comfortable, and we thought we would go ahead and get a trade in appraisal. We left, and on Monday Jon called. We were still undecided, and we decided to test drive a few other makes of cars. Jon tried to put a deal together and also tried to locate a different vehicle for us. We did not end up getting one from another lot, but we are happy with the one we have. Jon, is a valuable asset to McLaughlin's. We have to say we appreciated his patience, knowledge, and professionalism. I am not sure of anyone who totally enjoys buying a car and all the negotiations that go into it, but Jon made the process a pleasant one!

Received courteous and timely service on my 2015 XTS. All the staff there were very helpful and assured that my vehicle service was done properly and returned to me in a clean condition along with an explanation of what was done and what might need attention in the near future.

Bought a used 2013 Cadillac CTS here 2 years ago and it's been the worst car and even worse service I have ever experienced. (I've been a GM owner my entire life) Many warranty problems and a pure waste of time and money. Out of warranty now (after 2 transmissions) and my transmission is still junk. This car and dealership has turned me away from ever wanting to own another General Motors product. Very disappointed.UpdateOne of the few complaints on my final mileage warranty check was that the hub sounded loud like it was going bad... They said it's fine. Four weeks later, hub is out and I had to pay to have it replaced. Basically because they are a dealership and they can play God and fix what's broke OR just tell you all is fine and do nothing. This is wrong.

I brought my Cadillac into McLaughlin Cadillac because there was a burning smell coming from my car. Fortunately, it wasn't anything serious, but in the process they discovered another problem and fix that as well. Bonus! I was able to use my Cadillac reward points to pay for the service.

Never had a worst experience, and they steal from you.Bought a 2016 Maxima from them, and was troy me from the start, first we were told we could not take the car the night because it was to late. Ok, np we said told us to come back 3 days later on Thursday because it was there late night open. I explain to them that is fine but I will have to work that night and can't be there so if there is anything I need to sign I need to do it now, I am told it will not be a problem. So we put 5000 cash down I request gap and tire and rim protection sign what they go e me and we leave. So Thurday I get a call at work they are not going to give my Fiance the car because they need me there... REALLY!!!! So after fighting with them and when I finally say keep the car and give me my money back....I get whoa now we can just Being you the paperwork on a later date. Then we never get any paperwork for the payment come to find out they messed the paperwork up so bad bank could not even set up a loan, so guess what some how Payne t is still do on the Aug 24, that we can't pay since loan is not set up....not sure how that worked but it did. Then Fiance hit a pothole and ruined a rim, and guess what McLaughlin says oh you never put that on. Then we have the loan refinanced through our bank since it will save us $3500, and we call to get the refund of the gap insurance and guess what again they say you did not pay for that and we had you Fiance sign a waiver oh and no we didn't need you signature even though the loan is in your name!!!!!!! So they took advantage of my Fiance, stole money I know I have them (gap/tire), messed up paperwork, and tries not to give me the car. Any else feel a scam here??? Whatever you do, do not buy from any Joe(finance or sales) or better yet stay as far away from this "dealership" as you can. They are a bunch of thiefs.
