Really appreciate Ryan and his team! I couldn t start my 2007 Craftsman riding mower and found Ryan online. As soon as I called him he immediately tried to help me over the phone. It was very easy to work with Ryan as they had a delivery service team that picked my mower up and took it to his shop. I had good communication with Ryan about the whole tune up process. His team got the mower completed faster than originally anticipated too. Will recommend him to others.

I am happy to have work done by Ryan for me! I couldn t start my 2 year old Yard Machine mower and 10 year old Cub cadet self-propelled mover. I was looking on-line and as soon as found his shop I called. I asked also for delivery and drop off and it was available for a very modest charge. The communication, service - all was done it good timely professional manner. I will recommend his service to others. Thank you very much for your help.

I called Ryan asking when I could get my pressure washer in to be looked at. After a lengthy conversation he advised me to replace the motor on it and where to get one. That would be my cheapest route to repair it. He simply could have had me bring it in and charged me who knows how much just to simply look at it only to find out the motor was no good. He s a very honest guy and I will advise all my friends and family to use him in the future. Thanks again Ryan!

My wife found Ryan (Advanced Small Engine Repair) on-line and I'm sure glad she did. Ryan was professional and keep in touch throughout the process. Not only did he fix our generator so it is like new, but also gave great advice on how avoid issues in the future. I plan to bring a Field and Brush mower as well as a riding lawn mower over to him to fix and tune up next. Very reasonable. Will be recommending him to others for sure.

I called in reference to a generator carburetor I thought I needed to have replaced. I was very pleased when I received great information and tips on how to properly clean it.They could have told me I needed to bring it in for repair, or said I needed a new one, but took the time to explain what could be done!I will only use and recommend them for any of my small engine repairs!Brian BMoline, IL

I was referred to Advanced from the gas station in my neighborhood, believe it or not. I don t have a gas can right now, so I had the snowblower in the back of my truck to put gas in it and the gas attendant asked me. Where I was taking it & I told him I wasn t taking it anywhere except here to the gas station to fill it up because I don t have a gas can. Then our conversation continued, and I told him that I do need to get it serviced because my husband before he passed away always got his equipment serviced at least every other year and so it is time to get a tune-up. He had recommended Advanced because he knows the owner from coming in the gas station every morning for coffee and he happen to have business cards sitting on the counter. He gave me one and I gave them a call. Dropped my machine off & had it picked back up and ready to go in less than 10 days. That to me was pretty impressive considering all the equipment I saw at the shop when I dropped it off. He told me that since I called from the business card I got from the gas station he bumped me ahead because he just dropped them off there to see if he could generate customers. Yeah for me! Ty job well done.

Had both a Troy-Bilt rider mower and an Ariens 2 stage snow blower that wouldn t start. Found Advanced through the internet, and was able to contact and setup a tune up via messenger and text. They were able to pick up the next day and do the work within 3 weeks. Tune-up seemed to fix the startup on both machines. Sent videos of the machines running to confirm operation. Reasonably priced for large machine repair and very professional service.

I brought in a old lawn machine lawn mower to Ryan it wouldn't start or do anything. He estimated two weeks and to the day it was finished. It received a tune-up and he also rebuilt the carburetor. He also sent photos when job was complete. Plus charged me 25$ less than agreed. Thanks Ryan

Took my old Mantis rototiller to Advance because it wouldn't start after not being used for 10 years. Ryan gave me an estimate for cost and completion and I'm satisfied on both counts. Happy to have it ready for spring work!

Excellent service. Repairs were completed on schedule. During the repairs an additional issue that I would not have been able to find was identified and repaired. Will definitely contact Ryan next time I am in need of small engine repair.

I experience a problem during summers and winter. My darn mower never starts and my snowblower always gives up on me. I bring them here when I need to and I usually just get a honest feedback on why it's not working. 10/10 honesty goes a long way!

I just recently got referred to advanced small engine repair from my church the pastor from our church referred us to this company because the church uses their services for all of their small engine needs. We recently bought a brand new snowblower last year try to start it this year we left gas in it on accident and it wouldn't start we contacted the owner of the company and he realize that we got referred from the pastor from the church and came out and serviced it right in our garage to save us some money. I would highly recommend advanced small engine repair I will definitely be using them in the future for any of my small engine repair needs

My opinion of advanced small engine is nobody should take their small engines to this place. Works out of his house and can only pick stuff up late at night. This guy promises your equipment back in a time frame and never works on anything and when you call him he is real good and giving you every excuse why he cant work on your stuff. I took my Honda generator to him and told me a week but not more than 2 weeks after 3 weeks I told him I wanted to pick it up since he had no intention on working on it. He only returns your phone calls when he feels like it. If you take any equipment to this guy be prepared to leave it for months. Read his reviews this guy has been turned into the better business bureau and we are going to also.

Hi, my name is Ashley and I just recently use this service for my best friend, which is disabled She just bought a snowblower last year or two years ago from a local box store here in Moline and she left gas in it so it wouldn t start is the first thing. I received a call from Deb letting me know what was going on with her snowblower that she just purchased and she was frustrated and upset that this $1100.00 self driven beast of a machine is down. I was upset for her because she has had a very rough life and she s on disability so she don t have a lot of money in the first place . My neighbor is an outdoor type of guy and it seems like he has every piece of outdoor power equipment or small engine that you could think of for a residential setting & so I decided to ask him where he would recommend. my neighbor, I trust his judgment. In conversation I told him what happened to my friend and what was going on so he called for me & informed the receptionist or whoever answered the phone what was going on. My neighbor asked them if they could pick it up to service it and then deliver it back to her which is something I guess they normally do but for whatever reason that service wasn t available, so the owner of the company actually personally drove to her house and did some easy fix I guess Because she left gas in it that had an oil in it and I guess it gummed up the carburetor and some filter. He got it started but then problem #2 was it wasn t driving itself because it s a self driven snow blower that Deb got specifically because that would be the only way that she can use it . It went from bad to good to bad again. He found the belt drive fell of and was slipping. He got that working too & did this all for free. She tried to give him money , but he said remember me next time & spread the word and we are even. What a blessing he was that day. I am so thankful for my neighbors help & what advanced did . I feel like he genuinely really cares about his customers or people in general. I can tell you that I will never go anywhere else. I will always refer him & it was the least I could do is this review. Ty so much from the bottom of my heart Ryan. You are just a wonderful person & a joy to be around. We hope we don t have to see you anytime soon but we will definitely see you in the future. Take care.

I was told two weeks and received it in a week and a half. Complete tune up and blade sharpening. I know it's the beginning of the season but I'm impressed by the quality of the care of my Troy built mower.

We own a Power Smart snowblower. Wouldn't start. Tried a variety of places and no one services this brand. Advanced Small Engine Repair took a look and fixed it. He explained what he did and why. I highly recommend this business and they will now have a repeat customer.

I needed to have my snowblower repaired and, based on the reviews here, tried Advanced. Ryan was friendly and helpful on the phone so, I took my blower to him. What I got back was better than new. For the extensive work done, the cost was reasonable and it was repaired in a timely manner. I ve taken various weed eaters to other shops in the past. Without hesitation, I would recommend Ryan@Advanced as my first choice for all your small engine needs.

Ryan is the most honest guy out here. I called him and explained the problem I was having with my lawnmower and he was thinking I might need a tune up. After going more into detail he suggested I try something before bringing it to him and it was like magic, my lawnmower is running again. Not only did he save me some money but also didn't screw me over like other shops would have. This guy's keeps it 100% !

Excellent Service. I called just before close on a Saturday and Ryan waited for me to drop off my lawn mower and weed eater. Even though the shop was incredibly busy with snowblower repairs (this was in the middle of winter), both were fully serviced and returned to me in less than a week. Upon pickup, Ryan took the time to explain exactly what he did and recommended maintenance practices to avoid any future problems. I highly recommend Advanced Small Engine Repair.

Great , friendly service. Very knowledgeable about what he does and stands behind his work. Called on a Saturday about work needed on my snowblower. Dropped off on a Sunday and Ryan had it done on Monday. First time customer with 15% discount. Will be using him in the future. Highly recommended

Over a month ago we contacted Ryan to fix our snowblower. It cost us $200 (in cash only) which included him picking it up. Upon return I checked it out and the auger would still not work (though guaranteed). He promised several times to come and look at it- but promises don't mean much if you don't keep them. At this point we assume he never will and now have to find a reputable company to repair our fairly new blower.Gene A. Moline

I was having problems starting my John Deere 826 snowblower this winter. About 7 weeks ago, I was checking out reviews about service options. Advanced had very good reviews so I thought I would give them a chance. Ryan fit me in ahead of a snow storm and fixed up my snow blower which required more than just basic repairs. He did these repairs very quickly, explained them thoroughly, and got me snow blowing again for the rest of winter. My John Deere 826 is running like a Deere again the last 6+ weeks. Thank you Ryan!

I left a voicemail about getting my snowblower engine repaired that wouldn t start, and Ryan called me back very promptly. My two stage snowblower is very heavy, and I wasn t quite sure how I was going to get it to him for repair. He was able to come to me and do the repair onsite. The carburetor and spark plug were varnished. Ryan disassembled, and cleaned them on the spot. After he reassembled, it fired right up, and he adjusted the carburetor jet. It was all done in about 90 minutes.Ryan advised me to make sure I run the snowblower out of gas at the end of the season to avoid future issues. He also offered a 30-day warranty. It was definitely worth the price to avoid the headaches of having to try to lift that really heavy snowblower into a friend s pickup truck to haul it to a small engine repair shop that would have taken a lot longer to repair. Will definitely use him again for small engine repair.

If there was a 0 to give I would rate below that. Don t deal with guy, pretty sure all the positive reviews are his friends and family or customers has paid off.I have a riding mower. Needed a tune up and blades sharpened and a good once over. Nothing major 2016 model. Ryan first offer to do a house call over the weekend which I was happy with. Then then before the the house call he texted and said family issues and couldn t make it. Figured no biggie things happen. From there I agreed to take it to him. I loaded up the tractor and drove to the address listed on the website. By the way the address on the website is not where he wants you to take it too. It s an address in moline now not Silvis. So I drove it to the address he wanted and dropped it off. He said he would take good care or me since I was a new customer Couple days go by and he said tractor was done and that will be $240 bucks. I wasn t overly upset at the price . But did ask him for a break down of what he did. Just looking for a good timely job. From there is were things get confusing. He Couldn t provide and break down of things he did and said he lost his blade sharpener? At this point I said I just want my tractor back and told him I was did satisfied with the services. After I asked for a discounted price we then negotiated a price of 200 and he was still going to sharpen the blades with a angle grinder. Picked up the tractor. Only thing I can tell he did was new oil and fuel filter. Find out Blades not sharpened. Loose deck wheel not even tightened. Ryan seems to be very busy with other things jobs etc. the list goes on. This is not something he should convey to his customers. Or at least tell Your customer you need more time to do a quality job on your item. After I returned to my house with my tractor realized blades were not sharpened and I asked for more money back. He said no problem I will get you some money back and also offered to come out and change the blades if I bought them? At this point I had enough of false promises and services. I asked him to send me some money back and that was over a week ago. During this whole process I never actually meet Ryan. I dropped it off without him being there and the meet someone from his family when I picked it up. Very odd experience to say the least. He tried to make it right a few times but never followed through on his services and promises. Thus the reason for this review.

The owner was very honest up front with what had to be fixed and completed the job on time and under budget. If you need small engine repair, I strongly recommend advanced small engine repair!

5 stars for all the right reasons. After a Google search, I contacted Ryan and inquired about a tune up for my Ariens snowblower. With heavy snow in the forecast and a bad back from military service, Ryan was able to quickly tune up my snowblower. Great customer service and grateful for the military discount. Would definitely recommend! Thank you, Ryan.
