Check the work they do on your vehicle after it s done! Very disappointed in the last service we received and the lies that ensued afterwards.I have used them in the past numerous times with no issues and great service for repairs until now. The work they did 20k miles previous has failed and we were told I need to change head gaskets every 20k miles. Keep in mind the one and only time I had to have it changed by them was at 200k miles should be the sign that every 20K is wrong! Then to make a repair to another part of the engine, they cut off my exhaust flex pipe that they installed previously and tried to say I needed a new one because it was leaking only to find it s because they cut it off because they were being lazy and did not want to remove it for repairs. Took it back and they put flex-sealant around it to fix it instead of replacing the part they cut off/damaged on my vehicle.Beware of shoddy work and deceptive practices.Oh and then not being notified before you come to pick up your vehicle that they are a cash/check business and you will be charged a % higher if you use your BANKS debt card or CC.Steer clear of this shop, many other reputable shops out there that actual care about their customers and not just the $$.Services: Exhaust, Auto exhaust system repair, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair, Auto maintenance

Had a decent amount of suspension work done on my 99 camaro. Rob was great, installed all the parts as discussed. Even replaced a broken exhaust hanger while he was under there. Would highly recommend them if you want an honest shop to get great work at a fair price

What an awesome place! Nothing but positive things to say about them! I had them install an LED strip, an air intake & an exhaust system on my Silverado. The work was completed quickly & everything was done perfectly. The price I was charged was far better than what the other places wanted to charge. I brought another vehicle there for an air intake & a battery & AGAIN it was completed very quickly & the prices blew me away. Outstanding customer service & prices. They have shirts, hoodies, hats & other stuff for sale as well. You should give them a try. I called when they opened because I unexpectedly got the day off. They were able to get me in to take a look at a couple of slow leaks in my tires that have been annoying me for the lest couple of months. I made an appointment to get my car tuned up and a few things looked at. They called me to tell me that I didn't need to have a whole tune up done and that I just needed an oil change and a few other minor things fixed. They were very honest and didn't try to sell me something that I didn't need. I am beyond amazed at how great their prices and service is. The repairs were all done the same day within just a few hours. I would recommend them to anyone!

I Initially visited gearheads for clutch replacement after disrespectful experience at Orland Toyota whom refused the repairs. Staff at Gear heads were commited to providing transparent, professional repair to my vehicleI have since had 4 other vehicles in for work ranging from Alignment/ failed suspension part replacements/ brake fluid leaks / Tire replacements etc,The owner is so welcoming and will not hesitate to show/ explain what needs to be done. Melissa at the front Desk has been a complete relief with her exceptional customer service as I no longer have to deal with grouchy/pushy service advisors.I highly recommend anyone to give them a try as you will not be let down!

Went to get my SUV inspected for a possible internal oil leak according to the previous mechanic who replaced my oil somewhere else. Gear Headz said that I needed a new engine. What?? $7400 to replace it. I was shocked! My car has less than 98,000 miles, drives great, no smoke or noises. I had my brother take a look at it, he s a retired mechanic and also took it to my dealership. There s nothing wrong with my car. It s not even leaking oil. I expect to drive it many more years, but will NEVER take it to Gear Headz again, just SO dishonest.

They recommended two repair services which were 75% to 175% the value of my car. Had I not been knowledgeable I might have bought these repairs.

Got my oil changed here a few time. Great service and a good value. Very prompt and kind staff. Clean and comfortable waiting room, best one I've been to. Will return for my auto needs.

Great shop, great prices! I have been using these guys for years and have always been very satisfied with the work done. They recently opened at this new location and it is so nice and welcoming. The coffee bar and big screen tv are a nice touch. They have a nice clean kiddie area as well. Come support a local family-owned business instead of the sub-par chain auto shops. Their prices are the best around!

By far one of the best shops i have ever been to. If you want honest quality work on your vehicle this is THE shop to go to. General maintenance has been done on my girlfriends car and I have started to do performance work on mine. Stopped in today with an exhaust issue on my classic 1971 Monte Carlo. The staff at Gear Headz was top notch. The service was excellent, quality work, and a very clean well organized facility. Will definitely use them again!

I went for an oil change with a groupon about 5 months ago. I decided to go for another one. The service is very efficient. The people working there are friendly and knowledgeable. Gear Headz is the only place I trust to service my vehicles effectively, fairly and remain affordable! I have had the owner as my exclusive mechanic for over a decade. Where he worked I took my business to. Now he has his own shop and I will make Gear Headz my exclusive repair shop. I have never had a problem they couldnt fix or a problem repeat itself! You won't find a better place!

I reccomend Rob and his team they are friendly, fast, reliable, and the prices are very reasonable. The office staff was super friendly and made me feel at home like part of the family. I wont go anywhere else for all of my vehicles needs.

This is hands down the most trust worthy and fairly priced auto shop in the Chicagoland area! My mom has brought two family cars here the gentleman working showed her the car on the Lyft and showed her how she could save money, and took the time to thoroughly explain what they were doing. 10/10

Their shop is close to mine .drop my truck off for an oil change and done within a half hour. Great service nice people! Would highly recommend them. Also very reasonable.

I perform my own auto repairs being a gear head at heart. After working 70 plus hours lately due to the pandemic, I just didn t have the time to do some performance upgrades. I reached out to Gearheadz on Facebook for a quote on some work. The quote was reasonable. After reading the reviews, there was no doubt I was going to have a good experience. Then after speaking with Rob and Melissa, I felt good about my choice.I was in the area during the middle of the day and stopped by to see how the work was going. Rob pointed out something that would be restrictive to the performance. He said he was going to call me to discuss, but since I was there, we talked about an option and it was a no brainer to have him take care of it.After I left, Rob dropped me a note on Facebook to come back in 150 miles for a free bolt check. With the long tube header install and exhaust work, checking the bolts for any looseness makes complete sense.I definitely recommend Gearheadz for any performance or normal automotive repair work!
