Team sometimes don't understand hard to make him know what parts you need, advance team cheating customers by saying life time warranty and its not covered by any warranty, other companies their parts real life time warranty

John at this location is great. I ve been there two times in about as many months. Both times he was super professional and super helpful.First time I was using the store as a UPS drop off spot. He handled that professionally and quickly. The second time I was in to purchase a brand new car battery. I was quickly shown my options and he had me rung up and installed within 15 min. This was in a snow storm by the way. Thanks again John for stepping up to the plate and treating customers right.Always go to this Advance Auto for my cars needs.

Wonderful experience. Bought my battery online for store pickup. Item was in stock and ready for pickup within the hour. Staff (Eric & Daniel) were very helpful with this transaction from start to finish. I was allowed to change my battery in the parking lot. The staff offered me their tools. They offered much assistance at points where I was stuck. Great price. Great location. Most amazing, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Ample parking. Easy ordering online. My new fav auto parts store.

I was waiting on an air filter, and waited an hour. They delivered the wrong one first. Then I waited an ADDITIONAL 15 minutes for them to deliver the correct air filter. Should NEVER have to wait an hour for something simple. They told me "there's nothing we can do". Sweetie I work customer service. You put the customer first and discount the product. I'll forever shop at Auto Zone.

I can not complain of the staff except when I bought a battery there for my ML320 they said if it took more than 10 minutes they couldn't install it. They say free battery installation. So make sure you tell them what car you have otherwise you will have to find someone who does it in fifteen. One more thing i paid for my battery around three they were suppose to give me a call when the installer was to come in... an hour and a half later still no call back... except the staff was very pleasant....

Was greeted kindly by Jarvis R! He had the patience to help me and my ignorance towards anything to do with cars. He advised me to get the best which was more expensive but well worth it.

We just purchased a used minivan for our family and got caught in the snow storm with old windshield wipers. Let's just say that me, my wife and our three kids did not enjoy that ride.I took the van in this morning and there were two people being helped with coupons or an exchange, I'm not sure. I was acknowledged and waited a few moments before being helped by John. He advised me on several choices as far as wipers, some maintenance items for them and made sure to see if I needed help with anything else.Honest to God, it is ZERO degrees and I was afraid to even ask him to put them on my van. He installed them quickly and efficiently, was friendly and professional and made my day a whole lot easier.John deserves a service award or something for coming out without hesitation, with a good attitude and helping me put on the new wiper blades in ZERO DEGREE weather. I can't put into words how grateful I was and am for that.I always enjoy coming here and this time really was impressive.Thank you !Highly recommended.

Expensive auto parts store. They also told me I needed a 9005 bulb for my car when I actually needed a 9006 bulb. They told me they were out of 9005 bulbs so I would need to go elsewhere or buy a double pack of 9005 s when I just needed a single pack. I went elsewhere and was told that I actually needed a 9006 bulb, not a 9005 bulb.

Whatever you do, don t ask Kyle B. For help. I came here looking for cans of R134 Freon for my auto AC system. It s difficult to see the cans behind the counter so I asked Kyle B. For help. They were out of the cans that have the UV dye, but at the bottom of the shelf were smaller cans of what looked like R134 Freon with leak stop built in. I didn t need a full 12 ounce can, so I asked Kyle B. if the cans on the bottom were the 8 ounce R134 cans that had the added leak stop additive built in. Without even flinching Kyle said Yup, those are the ones. It wasn t until I drove all the way back to my house in Indiana and was ready to fix my AC system that I noticed the smaller cans were not R134 Freon at all. They were strictly a leak stopper product. Worse, they were 3 ounce cans and not the 8 ounce cans that Kyle B. looked me straight in the face and said Yup, those are the ones! Because this kid didn t take the time to verify what I was asking him, I wasted $20 plus the drive to get something that is useless to me. I can return one can, but not the second as I already started filling my AC system with it. The store was empty but even if it were busy, there s no excuse for this kind of service.

So We bought a gold battery for our Nissan Altima 3 years ago (and 10 days!) that was one of their top (currently on last receipt, $164.99) but seemed to have continual problems & needing jumps & even tows. Fortunately under warranty they kept replacing it but oddly, problems continued. Obviously suspecting something up with alternator or with car, mechanic fully checked it out (he's very competent)--we were even removing our tracking device from Allstate, curious if this was draining battery. No alternator problems but still inconsistent battery issues.ANYHOW, long story short, this last visit to the mechanic, he found that the battery was cracked (no, we never took it out of the car, ever) so now determined, due to leaking, we weren't getting a good charge. So back off to the store we were two days ago.Yes, I was a tad worried as this last warranty --it's 3 full years but it was a mere 10 days after that time & no, it says on receipt "O"prorated-- could've expired. Though even here, we were out of town with last crisis or would've made the deadline. STILL...I am hopeful & call first.I mean, at least I'm calling knowing we didn't crack our battery! That is where DANIEL comes in & answers the phone where it's the beginning of a very pleasant conversation & exchange.Boy are they lucky to have him (and smart business!....we've now bought our batteries for both our cars therewell over the past 10 years. For as long as I can think back. And I've told all family & friends to head there. I am a pretty vocal, opinionated person & for whatever reason, people listen. Good or bad, best to let others know so they are well advised --we all appreciate solid recommendations (oh and yes, who to avoid!)SO.....I explain what the mechanic states, he replies bring it right in, they will look at all this & will drop in yet a new battery (seriously, with all the orignal problems, I think #3 or maybe 4).An hour later I show up with husband & rare for business today, we find he is an honest man of his word. How refreshing!Very nice person & delight to deal with. While tightening to keep battery in place, he suspects the crack, which is visible, maybe happened when the last person installing it over-tightened screws (guess it can crack the battery ..so good to KNOW & beware! Who knew? Apparently not last kid), though he can't be certain--still, yeah, my guess is he is a good measure of knowledge here.Plus so personable that I got to hear all sorts of extra gems while he worked, like potential extra income from driving for Uber (& uber-eats), I left there with far more insight than just a car battery.I hope his boss understands the benefit of having persons work from him like Daniel. Truly. Not to sounds immodest (just truthful as it's applicable) I was a top advertising executive in sales at one time & if there's one thing I'm confident about it's that being HONEST, candid AND expert in customer service is EVERYTHING! It leads to far more than you might imagine...obviously, repeat business, fine reputation, less aggravation & GREAT word of mouth (and yes, networking & referrals are priceless!)Thank you Daniel, you were such a treat to do business with & of course they have two customers for life. THAT is how it's done. Simple! BOOM!

I went to pick up an order at 5:00 on a Saturday night. They are open. There are cars outside. The door is locked with a sign saying system down . Called to get curbside pickup or ask about getting my pickup day extended, since it will be canceled tomorrow if it is not picked up, and no answer. Customer service online was no help. They said to call the store and that my order will be canceled tomorrow. Even though it is not my fault that I can t pick up my order. Terrible experience.

Daniel had great Customer Service but the white lady working had a bad attitude and sold me the wrong blades so Daniel took over and helped me out putting on my blades and I changed my filter myself I guess she thought he was about to do that but he didn't. One more thing she parked he car in front of the store front window really? what worker does this ? is she that lazy?

Advance is alright. Every part store has their own brand of parts for aftermarket. Some have name brand options. Especially for brakes and batteries, it's all about how much you want to spend. Obviously, an Interstate battery is more than an Advance auto brand battery, same with brakes, Wagners are more than Advance.

Advanced is definitely my preferred auto parts store over AutoZone or orillys. The bigger stores have a plethora of parts. I used to only want OEM for my car, a number of years down the road there are a handful of things I'll only buy oe, everything else I procure from advance.

Advance Auto PartsMidlothian, IllinoisSeptember 22, 2018INCREDIBLE customer service experience! It started out with Daniel. My battery was dead, and for all I knew, the alternator and other things could ve been shot too! However, Daniel WAS honest (thanks God!) and he simply sold me the battery. Now I m about as handy as the Venus De Milo, SO I asked if he could install. He politely and graciously agreed.About 40 back breaking minutes later during which he cleaned the terminal, REPLACED a terminal and even a terminal wire, Bob told him that he had other things to do.However that was after Tom- NOT EVEN AN EMPLOYEE! (although his girlfriend is) - and Bob were both toiling away at this hemohrroidal beast of mine with every intention at getting this electrical mystery solved.AT AN AUTO PARTS STORE!?!?!Tom discovered that the issue was the ground which was apparently broke where it was supposed to be fastened. If I m not mistaken, he actually had an old terminal wire IN HIS TRUCK(!) which he cannabilized to replace my broken connection.I just wanted to let the powers that be at Advance Corporate know that your team in Midlothian (and their boyfriends!) are incredible and have won me over for ALL of my auto parts purchases going forward, AS WELL as referrals to friends and family.

If you need help with your car or truck this is the best place out of all the car stuff stores....staff can help you make sure of what your doing and the parts needed to achieve your goal..I'm a carpenter but I leave there thinking I can go do NASCAR. ..

Serve was not good at all. Four or five customers waiting in line and other vendors coming in. one person on the register he never had enough sense to look up and say I'll be right with you I'm doing the best I can or I'll call somebody from the back to come up and help it was just a disaster. Will not return.

Everytime I go inside they are so friendly, and helpful. I know nothing about cars and they always explain what I need and why. Wouldn't go anywhere else!

Dishonesty could have been due to lack of knowledge .but when one isn t sure, he should ask someone who is. This mistake almost cost me an engine. Very upsetting.

Customer services is below zero. I ask for help and he just walks away and says, I gotta get the phone. The phone didnt ring. How are these people working here and not educated on the products, parts and items customers inquiry about.
