Car salesman Jason was the WORST. Sold a car with known issues then refused to work with us to find a solution. Completely unethical person and would recommend avoiding him if you find yourself at Schimmer in Mendota. Owner of the dealership is reasonable and solved issue that Jason prolonged and complicated

I felt Nick was a great help navigating the process of this new truck purchase for us. He held up everything he told us throughout the process too, rare in today's fast-moving environment. The Process with Scott the Finance person was well carried out, explained all options available to us, was not overstated or pushy. I appreciated this part.I could tell the time I had to speak with Nick after my arrival to pick up the truck that he has put together a process that will be there to take care of anything that might come up with the truck in the future. This dealership has invested in their service business and are very capable of that part of their process.�This was the important part of our decision to purchase the truck at Schimmer Ford, we drive these vehicles many thousands of miles and we have to know there is service backup for us when needed.Thank you.Max ThompsonCustom Wash One, INC

Chad was great! Our questions were answered, and the service was a pleasure to be there. We think the dealerships should have more models available and if you order a specific model the waiting time should be shortened.

I found a used truck online through cars.com and reached out. Jose very quickly reach out and went over and above from a service perspective. He provided additional photos and information on the truck and was very thorough to ensure all of my questions were answered. This level of service continued through the entire process. Working with Scott on the financing portion was simple and quick! It was a 2.5 hour drive to pick up the truck and at the dealership for less than 30 minutes to look over the truck and sign the papers. Could not be happier with the level of service or the truck that was purchased.

John McGraw and his associates at Schimmer were great!! John was very helpful and responsive to our email correspondence prior to the sale of the truck we purchased. Process was smooth and painless especially since we did a lot over email/txt as the dealership was about 45min away from home and we needed to move quick. Once we got to the dealership, our truck was in the service bay out of the cold ready to be viewed and then test drove. We were very happy with deal we received especially in these crazy vehicle times where everything seems to be at a premium. Great Job John and Schimmer!!

The salesman was Chad W. and the finance guy was Scott J. Both were great to work with. I bought the car from over 2.5 hours a way and the transaction went seamless and the car was in great shape. My husband and I had a great experience with Schimmer Chevrolet Buick! We recently bought a 2019 Traverse and absolutely love it! The dealership gave us timely feedback to answer all our questions. I personally enjoyed working with Erin Lauer, the customer relations manager. Not only did she answer all of my questions, but we had nice conversations about our families. Also, even though it was late and the company was closing for the night, Erin came back to the dealership just to say Hi and meet us in person. That is what I call going above and beyond customer service! Chad Edwards, the sales manager, was very knowledgeable with the vehicle, was kind, and had really good customer service. We enjoyed the sense of humor of Scott Jackson, the business manager, while signing papers, which can be stressful. The team was able to get us out of there in no time, which was great since we had a long drive home that night. We highly recommend the small hometown feel of Schimmer Chevrolet Buick!

Definitely recommended. After having a horrible experience with the last dealership it was a relief to get quality service. Salesman John McGraw was very helpful and straightforward. Scott the sales manager was also great in making my dream truck become a reality. Both worked after hours on a Saturday to make the deal happen and I can t thank them enough! Just an all around great dealership and I would be happy to do more business with them!

I was looking for another Impala because the one I had was totaled. Found a vehicle at Schimmer on Carfax. Contacted them and spoke with John McGraw. The car was in transit to Schimmer so he really didn't know what it looked like. I put a deposit so no one could look at it before me. When the car arrived John got a hold of me right away. I went up and looked at the car and test drove it. It was a great experience working with John. The finance manager Scott Jackson was great working with also. I didn't even think about bringing my checkbook, so Scott had mentioned to drive home and get it. While I was doing that they did up all the paperwork, so when I got back all we had to do was sign. I would like to say Thank You to John, Scott, and Schimmer GM for the great experience.

Greatly exceeded my expectations. My used car purchase was painless and quick. Service went above and beyond. I was 45 minutes into my drive home (2 hours away) when the "Trailer Break need service" light went on and began beeping. I called when I got home and was told they would come pick the car up, leave me a loaner, drive the car back to the dealership and fix it, and then drive it back to me (again, I live 2 hours away). 2 days later I had my new to me car back and fixed at no cost and no hassle. They really stood behind their sale. Not many dealerships would have done that on a used car. Thank you for the incredible experience Schimmer!

Do you ever believe certain ppl were put into your life for a reason? Thank you Chad for turning a very bad situation into an amazing experience. On our way to Texas and we were 2 hrs into our trip when our transmission blew on our truck. He QUICKLY got us a tow and picked us up. Cannot say enough good things about the dealership and all that they did to make the load lighter and get us back on the road!!!! WE SO APPRECIATE YOU and we will be back.

Very quick service on buying a perfect for me small fuel efficient car for my 6 days a week commute to work.Thanks to Chad and Scott on all you both did. A very pleasant buying experience. . Like the "little fella" and it looks great also inside and out. Nice and roomy inside also even though I am a fairly tall person.

Jeff Fisher was very helpful during the whole process of finding my vehicle and making sure it had everything on it I was requesting.I will refer all of my friends looking for a vehicle to see Jeff Fisher, what a great asset he is to your dealership.They are very friendly and do whatever they can to get you in and out as quickly as possible, when working on your vehicle.I love this dealership, I haven't bought very many vehicles, but this dealership is the best I've ever had. They really know how to take care of their customers.

This dealership was top notch! Jeff Fisher went above and beyond to make sure I purchased the truck I was most comfortable with. He gave me suggestions and great advice, but was in no way pushy what-so-ever. After I decided on a truck the process was absolutely painless. So quick and professional. I felt like family by the end of the whole process! I would recommend Schimmers (Jeff in particular) to anyone who is looking for a new or used vehicle.

He got right to the point, located what I specifically requested for my company vehicle, and gave me a very fair price on my trade in. I was pleased that I did not feel pressured at any time and my salesperson was helpful in meeting most of my requests. Unfortunately, one of the key issues of the deal was they would replace the muffler of the vehicle I wished to purchase. During the pre-purchase inspection, my mechanic discovered insulation in the tailpipe indicating deterioration of the muffler. The dealer agreed to replace the muffler. It was not until re-inspection of the vehicle that I found out they replaced the tailpipe, not the muffler.The vehicle was nicely detailed and looked well kept. Despite being told the dealer s mechanic had gone over the vehicle, I overlooked that the pre-purchase inspection found three of the tires were overinflated (46 psi), the spare tire was underinflated (16 psi), the brake rotors were warped and had rust ridges, brake pads were down to about 40%, among some other issues. I understand I was purchasing a used vehicle. The battery had excessive corrosion, tested below specs, and appeared to be about six years old. I requested a new battery and replacement of the cable ends with an adjustment in price for the muffler problem. Instead, the dealer offered to clean the battery, which they then reported to be in specs, and replace the muffler. (The battery failed 28 days after I purchased the vehicle.) I agreed to a new negotiated price, including replacement of the muffler.When I pointed out that the tailpipe, not the muffler, was replaced, I was directed to contact the general manager or the service department. I did not feel it was my responsibility to follow up with their personnel to make sure the job was done properly since I was dealing with a salesperson. Having had regular correspondence with my salesperson, I have emailed him several times and sent copies of my complaint to the general manager and the business manager.There may have been some communication problem at the dealership. The dealer has since offered to perform the requested repair.

Had a great experience with salesman, John McGraw. He is very down to earth and personable, not pushy and easy to talk to. He made sure the hazy rear view mirror in our used Traverse was ordered and arrived for installation the next business day! Gave it one less star because the Traverse should have been fumigated of cigarette smell BEFORE it was put on the lot for sale.

I have had the pleasure of knowing Todd Spayer for the past 15 years. He is honest, caring, and always willing to go the extra mile for you. When I needed a new vehicle I naturally contacted Todd. He made my car buying experience very pleasant. As an older female and not always sure of which car to buy, what extras to ask for, and paperwork to be filled out, Todd went above and beyond to help me make choices, explained options, and was absolutely a pleasure to work with. I trust him and would not hesitate to buy from Todd in the future.

I bought a 2012 Chevy Equinox from here about 2 years ago. I bought it in August of 2019 thinking this was a good vehicle. It was until a month or so after I bought it I noticed it started burning oil. After further research I saw it had a recall for this very reason. It needed new piston rings which is an expensive fix for myself. I called to see if I could get my car in to get it fixed because it's a recall. I was told that that certain recall only pertains to vehicles under 110,000 miles or If you could get it in before July 2019, whichever ones comes first. Since I bought my car one month after the recall expired, that they wouldn't fix it. How can a dealership have a car on their lot with an open recall on it and not fix it before selling that vehicle. These people are con artists!

I just purchased a vehicle for the first time from Schimmers. By far the service exceeded my expectations. I recommend Scott Jackson! He was very very helpful. He also provided awesome customer service when we mentioned that the Cruze I was going to buy had scratches on it he was quick to let us know that he would order paint for it to fix it. And after signing all the paperwork and noticing that it did not have cruise control, I completely went into panic mode! But Scott is going to have cruise control installed in my new car. Talk about taking care of customers! I'm so happy that I did business with Schimmers. They are the best!

The sales staff at Schimmer's are awesome. There was no pressure to buy at any point. No one tried to talk up and over me and convince that I needed to buy anything. The service department is the best I have ever dealt with. They know what they are doing. I highly recommend this dealership if you are in the market for something new or used. Ask for Ryan Coss.

Todd Spayer has a heart of gold. He's invested in his family and cares about his customers. He will never let a conversation cease and will make you feel one of your own. He LOVES working for Schimmer Gm and has been a devoted employee for many years.
