Best mechanic I have ever used. They really know there stuff. They all raced cars on tracks semi professionally. And worked on their cars. Very fair. A HUGE value. I recommend them all the time.

Highly recommend!! I have been going to them for many years! Chuck and his employees are courteous, friendly, reliable, and honest. They go above and beyond to get the job done. Recently just replaced an alternator and got the job done very quickly to my surprise even though they were busy. Great customer service communicating with each step of the progress. A must to go to for your auto needs!Services: Electrical, Auto engine diagnostic

They had my car for almost 2 months. It took them more then half that time to actually start on the car because supposedly the piece took a month and a half to get there. And then when they finally did start working on it they promised me dates multiple times to pick up my car and it then it ended up never being ready. I do not recommend especially if your using your warranty to pay them they wont care since it s technically not your money.Services: Transmission, General repairs & maintenance

Best service and very honest people. They also have a tow company called Jeff's towing. Driver name was Marcus. So respect, oh my God he was so quick at what he did and he set my mind at ease. Give me good advice. If I ever need a tow again I will always call Jeff's Towing as long as Marcus is there..

Wonderful place I feel at ease here because I know this shop has my back, being a single woman I fear I'll be taken advantage of. Not here they treat you with respect and courtesy most importantly they do a wonderful job and they are fair and can be trusted. And that wonderful man at the counter is John. Maybe I should've given 4 stars because their prices are expensive but the quality of the work and customer service is really great. The technicians are friendly on the phone and in person. They take the time to explain to you what's wrong and how you fix it. They never pressure you to get the work done with them however, off you go with them you can be confident the job was done correctly. They do excellent work and I've given them my business numerous times.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Chuck and his crew are wonderful. Even through his schedule is always super busy, he was still able to get us in and out with the necessary repairs made within a couple hours at a very reasonable price. He's one of the few shops that still has the old school mentality of treating the public with respect and courtesy.Thank you Chuck I'm sure we'll be back at some point with our other vehicles as well as our suburban. It's nice to have the peace of mind in finally finding a qualified and experienced mechanic that can be trusted without being taken advantage of!

Chuck and his team of dedicated mechanics make sure you leave satisfied. Uptown is a trust worthy business .They treat you like a friend and not just money walking thru the door. Prices are very good. I will continue to travel for the best mechanics and customer service .

I have been using Uptown Auto for maintenance over the last 2-3 years after my daughter highly recommended them for great service and very reasonable prices. Look, as a woman I am always going into an auto thinking, are these people going to treat me fairly or will I have to have my guard up? And I have been to my fair share of shops, never landing on one. Then I landed here, and here I will stay. I went in and only felt sincerity from all the people here. I have 4 vehicles and all of them have found there forever mechanics. Thank you guys for being so wonderful.Update: I would give these guys 100 stars if I could. I can t even put into words how much I love everyone there and how caring they are with your vehicles and to the customer. I trust them implicitly and am so grateful and blessed to have found them.

Chuck (the owner), John, Al, Pete, and any of the other employees of Uptown Garage have always been professional, polite and efficient. They take the time to explain what needs to be done, and have even told me when I DON"T need a repair done. On my last repair (January 2021), John made a few extra phone calls to find parts that were less expensive and available the same day. Uptown has always met or bettered the prices from my local auto body shop. The front of the shop is cleaned often and there are big plastic barriers at the counter to prevent transmission of Covid-19.I bought my used Nissan from Chuck several years ago and it has been a gem! As an additional courtesy, the Uptown crew dropped me off at home, two towns over, so I could wait comfortably while my car was repaired. I recommend this business highly!!Services: Steering & suspension repair, Wheel alignment, Oil change

Great service and very customer oriented. Had an engine oil leak related to prior oil change at a different business. Very professional, did not bad mouth prior service. Great vibe for guys that work there. Will use them again.

I have been going to this garage since the early 80's. Original owners are gone now but I continue to go here because I trust them, they provide excellent customer service, and I would not consider going anywhere else for work on either of my cars. My wife know next to nothing about cars or how they work. She knows to go here if I am not available because they will make things run and nor take advantage of her lack of knowledge. Just good people like the original owners.

I know it sounds odd, but this company is actually a pleasure to do business with. They are able to get my car in quickly, provide honest service at a reasonable price, and are truly nice to deal with. This is a family business and it shows. Would highly recommend!

Finding an honest repair shop is next to impossible. I been coming to uptown for over 20 years. I would like to believe that This is a honest place, but they are expensive, I often compare the prices for the parts they sell me vs. the sale prices in the surrounding auto parts stores, and they are often double the price. I know this and still support the shop. I tell myself that it's the cost of having a middle man. I'm afraid of buying the parts cause every time I did this, it was a problem, or the part would just stop working and i would get charged to remove the old part and pay for them to install their more expensive part without knowing if that was truly the case. I trust that they are an upstanding shop. but I'm often afraid of what the cost of my repairs will be. Business is business, and i want to see them succeed. I will continue to get my work done here cause I like chuck and the crew, but I do feel some type of way. Bottom line.... This is one of the best shops in Maywood. if not the best. I would actually come here more often if it was open on Saturday. I will see them again soon for my other cars. I just hope it don't cost me a lung.

Uptown has been my go-to Rescue Squad for almost 25 years. They were highly recommended by The Honorable Hugh Muir then, and I've never had to be worried about being taken advantage of. Back in the day when you sat in the waiting room you could tell how professional yet caring and honest these men are... just from being in the room. I've seen people who moved far away yet came back to Uptown with their vintage cars for that special Loving Care. Chuck and his staff are friendly, knowledgeable and honest. They've towed me back home and I know that when I get back in my car it's fixed. They leave no stone unturned. SERIOUSLY!!When I got my new car I actually missed them, so I still go in just to say hi. They're that kind of place. By the way his wife has helped me out a few times also. They are my Fam. Hello everyone, I just want to share my story. Today on my way home my car started to die on I-290 going East. So, I asked Google to find closest "Garage Shop" and it navigated me to Uptown Garage. It was like quarter past 5 PM. I came in and Chuck was SO helpful. I told him what was happening and he immediately knew what was wrong with my car........pretty impressive!!! His guys fixed my car and hour later I was continuing driving home....... from now on, this is my new car repair shop. I would TOTALLY recommend this car repair shop to anyone. This is very friendly and fast place. I can't THANK YOU ENOUGH UPTOWN GARAGE!!!
