I went to them for a fuel pump leak which I could not repair they were very sympathetic to my problem and fixed it for me and made a horrible situation go away for me. They do outstanding work at a fair and honest price very happy with them and I will be going back there for my repair work in the future Thank you. UPDATE! I had to go back to Morrie & sons for a different repair, and as with the first time I went there nothing but good things over at Morries& sons they treat your car as if it was their own outstanding work and all of this at a very fair and honest price I couldn't be happier with the service that I get over there and will continue to take my car there for any and all future repair work you should try them you will be glad that you did. I am extremely happy with the quality service that Morrie & Son's Auto gave me. They were very informative and explained to me exactly what was going on with my vehicle in a very clear and easy to understand way. Not only that, they went above and beyond by polishing the rust residue off the area the old breaks left. They also fixed a rattling noise. Both of these things are not things that shops have done for me in the past so I was pleasantly surprised that I experienced this type of service.Anyone that brings their car here will have a great and affordable experience. I am happy that a local business like this exists in McHenry.The work they did for me:I came here originally to get my oil changed and general diagnostic. They let me know that the back breaks and rotors were needing replacing within 600 miles. At about 400 they started squeaking so I brought it in for replacements. They informed me after taking the wheels off that the fronts need to be replaced as well. They let me know the price which was very reasonable. The service was done in one day.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Brakes, Brake service & repair, Oil change

I have been using Morrie's for many years. They are always reliable, and helpful if I ask questions. They will suggest if something is due or needs checking, but never apply pressure to do anything you don't feel you want it done at that time. If you live close enough, they will drive you home if you auto will need to stay all day and then pick you up at the end of the day when the work is done. Their prices are very reasonable. Mitch and his son are awesome. I have been going to them for years. They service multiple cars and my work van. Over the years other family members have used him too. He explains everything well and they are not like normal mechanics that just want to make you spend more money. They are very honest! I would recommend anyone to go here. Good people!

My family has been coming here since Morrie's Sons were too young to hold a wrench! Now Mitch and his son and daughter are taking great care of me and my vehicles and they do quality work at rock-bottom prices. I have recommended them to at least 50 other people how's my favorite mechanic!

This place is awesome, helpful, informative and most importantly very trustworthy. I would definitely recommend this place. As everyone knows how big corporate players always hungry for sales and they always find some kind of fault in your car to get squeeze some money out of your pockets. I can trust Morrie & Son's will not do that. They give frank and honest opinion about your car issues. I had 2 experiences and in both occasions they could have got by business but were honest and saved me some money. They would have lost some sale now but i will there all time customer for both of my cars. And will be spreading the word out among my friends and relatives. @Morie team, Honesty pays off in long run. One of the best auto repair experiences I've had. I have an old rusty 2000 dodge that had a brake line leaking. I fix most small issues myself and love my truck. This line would have needed a lift to be done in a reasonable way so I was left to find a shop. I was recommended to Morrie & son's and they understood exactly what I was looking to have done and did a fantastic job. Fair pricing, high quality parts, and an honest job done all with an incredibly fast turnaround. I hope nothing happens I can't fix on my own again, but if it does, I know this is where I'll be going.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Brakes

Had them install HID lights on my vehicle. Very reasonable price. What I liked the most is they checked over my vehicle from front to back without me asking topped off what needed and charged next to nothing. I just wish I had the option on this app to give them 10 stars. Will definitely be bringing them more work in the future.

I cannot tell you how much I appreciate the team who was willing to inspect a car that my son was considering for purchase. We are not from the area, and I selected Morrie and Son's based on reviews. The person who worked with my son took a great deal of time to explain everything, pointed out pros and cons and went way above and beyond an inspection by educating my son as well. This was all done with them knowing that since we don't live in the area, it may not mean repeat business, but they did it nonetheless. It truly restores my faith in humanity and in the integrity of the company. Words can not express my gratitude!

If I could give -5 stars, I would do that. Maybe they are doing a good job but person who answered the phone it s unprofessional talking to the customer. Very rude. Somebody needs to send that person to the school to have proper manners. I just simply wanted to put my car in their hands to fix it and I wanted to find out how much it will cost. The guy told me Why don t you do with yourself? Haha funny guy too bad he s only tough on the other side of the phone.

2015 CRV Push Button Start failing. Mitch correctly diagnosed the problem and replaced the starter one week ago and my Honda now starts without any problem.I HIGHLY recommend Mitch, the owner, for quality auto repairs! Also, a very kind and caring staff.Thank you Morrie and Sons Auto! 5/27/2022

This is the best service you will ever receive!!! We have been customers since 1991 when Morrie helped keep our old beater on the road until we could afford to replace it. Since then Morrie and Mitch (and team) have done oil changes, brakes, emissions, suspension, tires, etc on all of our cars and always with great service, fair pricing, and total satisfaction. We now live in Northern Wisconsin and compare all car repair to the best in the business - Morries

Top notch place to go for auto repair! Mitch and Austin are great people to work with! They were able to run emergency diagnostic tests on my car with just an hour's notice. Great dependable family owned business run by honest, hard working guys.

Firstly, Morrie and Son's Auto is awesome, honest and they have their shop squared away. High Speed dudes and quality work at a good price for the amount of quality parts and labor they put in. They did a fantastic and thorough job. So a big thank you to Mitch and the rest of the crew there.My car needed some routine maintenance and I had previously brought it to the Kia Dealership in Elgin to get the work done. It was there a whole day, nothing got done except my oil was changed, my car was washed off and I was told I needed thousands of dollars of work and parts.Kia quoted me and wanted to charge me over 1,200$ just for the work that Morrie and Son's Auto promptly did within a few hours for a third of the price.I drove over an hour from Elgin to have my car maintenance done by Morrie and Son's Auto because they have excellent service, they are honest, dependable, reliable and professional.I've had multiple vehicles worked on by Morrie and Son's Auto over the years and they have always been nothing but straight up emperors of the automobile.In 2020, do you know how hard it is to find a good, honest, fair mechanic?Well, Morrie and Son's Auto rotated my tires, cleaned everything, switched out my pads and rotors, took off everything and checked my vehicle out from top to bottom in a handful of hours, like a boss.They made sure my ride was ready to make any kind of voyage I needed her to make.I have to drive my vehicle across the country, possibly a few times soon and I wasn't willing to risk my future and safety on anybody else.So, if you are looking for a diamond in the volcano of auto shops out there, this is the one.Thanks a million Morrie and Son's Auto.You guys rock!

I've lived in the area for 23 years and Mitch and his team of highly skilled mechanics never cease to amaze me.I was a mechanic in the military so my first thought is "I can do this"..!!Well, more than once Morrie's has bailed me out of a nightmare of my own creation. The older I get the more I realize how technology is quickly eclipsing what I thought I new. Mitch has always been understanding and never chastised me for taking the DIY approach. He takes the time to explain where I went wrong while handing over the keys to a fully functioning, repaired vehicle.Honesty, Integrity and a fair price for services is the mantra at Morrie's. Not once have I ever left feeling like I was taken advantage of. That in itself speaks volumes.

My truck broke down on the way to the airport and I had another repair facility in Des Plains tell me I needed an engine, around a $4,000 repair. I had my truck towed to Morrie & Sons for a second opinion. After Mitch and his team looked over the truck he was able to find that the timing chain on my driver side cam had broke. He saved me over $3,000!!! Morrie & Sons is a top notch group that you can trust I wouldn't take my truck anywhere else. Thanks again for getting me back in the road!!

I have used Morrie's for years on multiple vehicles. I have without exception been dealt with honestly, politely, and with a demeanor that instills trust in what they are doing for me is in my best interest. I am glad that I don't often need to use Morrie's, but when I need them they always exceed my expectations. Excellent small town shop.

I am new to the area and did not know of any good auto repair shops. I was told about this place by a fellow employee. I met the owner Mitch. I explained my car problem and he was more then willing to help me. Got to work on my vehicle first thing the next morning and had the repair completed before lunch. Very impressive. Nice family run business. Really honest and personable. I will definitely continue to bring any car issues back to this place. Thank you Mitch

I drove a car from Auto Outpost North (a used car dealership down the street) here to have it inspected before purchasing. The car ended up needing both engine mounts replaced along with other issues. The folks at Morrie and Son's were extremely helpful, honest, and kind. I probably would've gotten screwed over by the used car dealership if it wasn't for them. Thank you so much, you are appreciated!

Awesome awesome awesome place. I highly recommend this shop for any of your auto needs. I just moved to McHenry, and I was nervous about finding a new mechanic in the area. This crew knows how to be direct, honest, and give fair prices. They also get their work done in a timely manner. I very much appreciate their services and will be go to them again.

I called just before they opened, in a bind with air leaking from my tire. I needed to get to work which was a 45 minute ride. They asked me how fast could I get there. They had me in and out within 15 minutes for a very fair price. Highly recommend. Thanks again guys!
