The daughter's car broke down on side of highway late evening. She lives 60 miles away. She was able to get ride home from a friend. Early next morning, I called S&S towing to arrange the transport of her vehicle. Within an hour, her car had been picked up and delivered. These guys were professional, courteous, and quick. I highly recommend them if you need help in the Mattoon, Illinois area.

I called S & S Services. They have a great towing service. My car wasn't running. The driver arrived very quickly. He towed my car to the garage. The drive to the garage was done safely. The car was loaded and unloaded very carefully. I would highly recommend S & S for anyone that needs their vehicle towed. The price and service can't be beat.

Teenage son totals his car and they call S&S to hall it away. Stop in there to get my sons school supplies from my car and was treated like a criminal by a rude staff. Told them the insurance was still asking about seeing the car so it would be a few more days to resolve. Was told $100 for tow and $40 a day storage. Went to go pay bill and pick up the car for scrap but now the tow bill is now $250 and storage adds up to $775. Un-believable. The city stuck us in this problem by calling them. So I will have to make sure they dont do this to another unsuspecting accident victim.Do not let them tow your car or you will never see it again!!!!!!

After niece was envolved in wreck S&S towed vehicle. Trying to locate keys which had all her keys on ring. They said they looked for keys and couldn't find them. And when I requested permission to look, they gave me a hard time, but eventually allowing me to look. But just for keys. All other contents of car were to be left. When I arrived, driver seat was covered in debri. After digging through pile of rocks, broken glass, and twisted metal, I found keys directly below ignition on floor. Yeh, they looked real hard. Thank you.

Thought they were a godly company but to charge 430 dollars to move my motorcycle less than 3 miles and have it 2 hours. Would never recommend this company to anyone. Will never use them

This place is horrible. Most of their staff is rude and unprofessional. During the most vulnerable moments after my vehicle accident, when I went to get my belongings from the vehicle, I was told that I could not get my belongings out of the vehicle because my insurance company had not confirmed the claim. The most shocking and disrespectful things they did was deny me access to my deceased husband's wedding band, that is on my key ring and handicap placard in the window. Then, when I went to get it moved, he told me $1200 bill.

Expensive! My truck trailer air pipe broken, they fixed really quick like 5 - 7 mn, he changes only a bolt, Arrived 15 miles away 340$

They came quickly & towed to safely. Changed my tire next day, cause I didn't have it with me - (convertible). Very affordable. Only issue, they didn't check air in my spare. Nearly drive off with another flat(15#'s).

Not recommended!My 53ft trailer had problem with brakes. No service or parking braking.There were no air leaks so there were two possibilities left: brakes not adjusted or valve.I checked adjustment which was ok and then called S&S asking if they have a valve and can replace it.They said yes.After arriving mechanic looked for 20-30 seconds, figured out that brakes were adjusted(you don't need more time for that) and then they said they don't have valve giving me two options: pay 50 dollars for mechanic's inspection and leave and second option was to wait 4-5hrs till they will get the valve and install it.50 dollars to visually check if brakes are adjusted? When I knew it myself and let them know over the phone.And saying they have a valve not having it?And they checked adjustment visually - noone asked me to press and hold brake pedal.In my 16yrs driving career this was one of the worst services.(And this is my first review ever)

My 3500 dodge dually mega cab broke I tie rod on my way into Mattoon. S&S was the only towing service that had a truck big enough and was willing to tow my truck back to my hometown of Assumption. Wes the tow truck guy knew what he was doing and had no troubles at all and he was super nice and very professional. I would use them again but hope I don t need too!!

HORRIBLE and RUDE service. Called to get an estimate and they gave an incredible high price for something that was very simple. Then when i asked if they can maybe help me out with the price he literally said if i didn't like his prices to find someone else! and all in a rude manner and then hung up on me! SOOOOOOOOO RUDE!!!!

Driver was all over the road with my truck on the tow truck and the chain that's goes around the rear end to old it down Tight wasn't Tight at all they need better tow truck drivers that now how to drive and how to chain our cars and trucks down right

Todd recovered our Chevy Tahoe out of a creek bed and I was expecting as much or more damage getting it out as what it encountered going in ! But he sized up the task and took extra care to prevent and minimize damage. To say the very least I was elated with the job he did !Kudos to Todd at S&S Towing

The woman working the desk was very polite and understanding! The man who works there, however, like to talk to people like they are stupid. Tone of voice matters, and his tone was condescending. Most people who come in there are going through a tough time, so if I were him I wouldn't jump the gun and assume everyone is ignorant. Though, after commenting about his rudeness he backed off.

Called for a Road Service, just needed some diesel.. Guy who answered gave me an outrageous price, asked him nicely if there was anything he could do to help with the price, told me to find someone else and hung up on me. Super rude, and unprofessional.

Don't call this guy for so much as a jump start... Nothing but attitude over a fuel line issue on a paccar! Don't worry buddy I'll give my money to someone better than a shade tree fly by night mechanic

Called on a Saturday to git my car out was quoted 50 for tow and a after hour fee of 60 so 110 I asked how much if I just picked it up Monday was told 50 tow and 40 a day for storage I I said so 130 to pick it up Monday they said yes I decided to wait until Monday since only a 20$ difrence I got there at 11am and was told I owed 232.50 I said there must be a mistake that I was quoted 130 then got called a liyer by every staff in the place and was chastised about my chargers by far the worst customer service ever and just the rudest human beings I've ever meet

I called them to see if they could take a look at my Motorhome and possibly fix the issues. I was told a Resounding "NO" before I could even finish my sentence. Seems Very Unprofessional to me. Sorry that some folks have to be like that.

Friendly guy, easy to find my car after the accident. Major potholes though. Hard to navigate safely in my low-to-the-ground car.
