Absolutely the best transmission repair shop in Central Illinois. I wouldn't hesitate recommending CIT in Mattoon, Illinois to anyone. Competitive prices, hands down the best and most experienced in the area. Our latest experience with Jerry and his associates saved us a lot of money and time. Transmissions are way too expensive to just let anyone work on one, especially yours. I totally put all my faith in CIT to get the job done correctly and to give me the best service that money can but.

I physically can t work on my cars due to disabilities, And lack of knowledge, so it s important that I get a mechanic that I can trust and only one mechanic. I moved out here about 5 years ago with a bad transmission in my car, and I found Jerry and his crew at Central Illinois Transmission. THEY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING!!!They found me a transmission that wasn t expensive at all and they got the job done RIGHT, quick and painless. Since then, I ve came to them with a few more problems with my car, including my wife s car and Jerry and his crew have NEVER disappointed me. I have trusted no one else with mine or my wife s vehicles other than Jerry and his crew. They are truly the EXCELLENCE OF EXECUTION !!!THANK YOU TO JERRY AND THE CREW, Without you there would be no Falcon , sincerely, The Buck s!!!

No one likes having to get a repair done on their car but Jerry really was amazing. He saved me $2000 on my bill I was told by another shop I would need a transmission replaced but Jerry messaged me the day after I dropped my car at the shop and told me he could replace the torque converter and flush my transmission and it runs like a dream now. He could have replaced the transmission and made a lot more on me and I wouldn't have known any different but he was honest and very fair and even took some money off the bill because they ran into some issues with another car and mine took longer than expected. He earned a customer for life and I would recommend anyone to go to him

Nobody likes getting their transmission fixed. It's expensive and inconvenient. At least these guys made it easy and went out of their way to diagnose and repair the problem. Jerry sent me text updates when parts arrived and when small questions came up. The service was good all around. I highly recommend this business.

Transmission repair/replacement costs have gotten out of control. Chevy should replace EVERYTHING from 2010 to date.

This place went out of its way to get us help when our transmission gave out several hundred miles from home. The owner helped move heavy equipment from my truck and made sure we had a way home. They repaired my transmission quicker than expected and gave great service.

It s the only place you should think of going for anything transmission. The owner went out of his way to help with my transmission situation. This Shop is what Small Town America is all about! Honest, hardworking and kind. We brought our Van in for possible transmission issues. They diagnosed and had my Van done SAME DAY. We can't thank everyone enough and my Grandchildren thank you as "Pearl"is back and running . Again THANK YOU!

Did not have service work done, but a very positive experience. Stopped here with a blown transmission while traveling on vacation . Decided not to repair the vehicle due to cost and the age of the car. Owner helped us look for other options for car dealers and rentals in the area and offered to let us keep the vehicle in his parking lot for a couple of weeks until I could return to pick it up. Your kindness is very much appreciated, thank you!

No end play on the driver's side or noise. Very Professional Guy's And Polite. Being In the Field In the past It seems like All Technicians are looked at being Crocks. I highly recommend Central Illinois Transmissions. A good part of A Guy's Check goes towards paying for tools. My Car Is A Car that was Sentimental and would be considered Junk by most. I'm ordering Parts and Glass. When I'm done with it will look better than New. People get On Here and knock A shop. A good shop doesn't need to make work. A good shop will survive off of it's reputation. But I wish He would of Vacuum the Inside as A Courtesy.

Awful company, took my truck in for a transmission and one of the guys there tried telling me I had the wrong size oil filter on my diesel truck, and also needed a bunch of other unnecessary work done to my truck. Not only that but my co-worker also had his vehicle there and he s transmission overheats. Awful people to deal with when something goes wrong. They don t owe up to them making a mistake other than making a big deal out of it and arguing with you. Not only that, the lady at the desk called my co-worker and left a voicemail complaining about me calling them out on their mistakes.

I own a small construction company. I thought my transmission had gone out. It turns out that the axle had broken in half. In less than one day it was back on the road running perfect. They have earned a lifetime customer.

car ran flawlessly 100 miles a day..was sold the wrong fluid for my car ..relized this instantly..stopped did not start or drive it ..called explained this they said no problem 175$ to flush and fill it.. great i thought, i rely on this car everyday.. still have not driven it ,towed to them..call the next day "Sorry sir your transmission is shot" ?!? Cheapest used transmission will cost 2400$$..I dont even have that in the car Jerry!.. well i dont believe that and retrieve my car with no papertrail to prove anything was even done ..called the Guys at 3 Js in Arcola 60$ they had fluid flushed and ran it through their diagnostic machine and I Quote No problems whatsoever!! I still drive the car 100 miles a day working on 4000 miles ago.

I am a local guy who was in a jam and needed a transmission replaced quick. In less then a week they upgraded a transmission for me and replaced it. Best customer service everand amazing quality. I cant thank them enough.
