We were traveling on I57 on our way to Disney World and our check engine light came on. In desperation trying to figure out what s wrong, I called them. It was a Saturday morning so most places were closed. The gentleman that helped us was so incredibly kind. He was friendly, knowledgeable and easy to do business with. 100% can recommend this shop that places importance on customer service.

I brought my vehicle into Mahler s because they were highly recommended to me by a few trusted colleagues. They were the third shop I went to because I like to get second opinions. Everything they told me my vehicle needed fell in line with what I already knew. I was warned that they re prices are slightly higher than other places, however they stand behind their services and the parts have a lifetime guarantee. The gentlemen at the counter were very professional and the services they provided me were outstanding. My only complaint is that this is a very busy shop, so sometimes it takes a while to get in for an appointment, and they are slightly more expensive than other places, but you get what you pay for. Other surrounding shops even bring their customers vehicles to have Mahler s mechanics service them, that s how good they are.Services: Steering & suspension replacement, Auto A/C recharge, Vehicle Inspection, Wheel alignment

I have had poor service at Honda service locations in Matteson. However, I have had wonderful service for my 2014 Honda CRV. I used to dread taking my CRV in for service at Honda locations. But now I look forward to taking my car into Mahlers. Everyone there is honest, pleasant and hardworking. Finally, I am never overcharged. I recommend this business whole-heartedly.

I took my car to Mahler's to clear my service engine light. I specifically told them TWICE before any work was done that this happened one year ago (2021) and I had a sensor replaced. They checked my car and said the same sensor needed to be replaced again. I reminded them that I just had it replaced but they insisted that it still needed to be replaced. They replaced it and the next day the service engine light was back on. I took my car back and turns out after they did research (as they stated), when that sensor is replaced the service engine light will continue to come on until the dealer resets the computer. So the sensor was never the issue and never needed to be replaced for the second time in a year. Only the computer needed to be reset. They tried to justify the replacement by saying they wanted to make sure the sensor was a "dealer-issued". Who the heck cares?! Especially when there is nothing wrong with the current senor to begin with. A complete waste of $500. They did not offer me an apology nor a refund. They attempted to shoo me away as fast as possible because they knew they were wrong and did not want to hear my complaints! Put the calculator down and listen Mahler's!!! BBB will be contacted as well. You guys have lost business for 4 cars in my household. They stopped some loose metal rattling under my car and completed a brake/rotor job. 10/10 rating on stopping the rattling. 8/10 for brakes...not the best feeling when brakes are applied. $200 for the rattling and $900 for the brakes/rotors.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Brakes

My husband and I have been taking our cars here for a few years. We always get very quick and courteous service, and they are always willing to answer our questions. I feel their prices are fair, in my experience. I've never had any issues with work needing to be re-done, or parts they installed breaking. I'll keep bringing my car here as long as I live in the area! I also appreciate that they are within walking distance of the Metra, so you can drop off your car without needing a separate ride.

I needed a battery jump in my parking lot at my senior bldg. My auto started after I had paid for the service, which I did not get. I was charged for a ten minute drive to my address. I'm sorry I called this business and would advise others to review prior to contacting them. I would think the charge would have been reduced or cancelled. Dec. 15, 2020

Over the past 20 years I've been in & out here many times with all my family vehicles. Generally pleased with honest & reliable service, but last week I was greatly disappointed with the manager, ROY! After spending over $400 on a repair to my steering column, when I picked up my car I found the seat belt was torn & basically non-functional. Needless to say it wasn't that way when I brought it in, but Roy tried to say it they didn't do it, it was wear & tear. NO!! After having to argue my point, he finding spoke to his boss & agreed to replace it at his expense. Granted he finally did the right thing as his staff did cause thus damage, but I shouldn't have to argue this point in the 1st place. Generally I'd give this place a 4 star rating, but due to this experience, only a 3. They can do better & I if i experience it service like that again, I'll find some where else to service me for the next 20 years.

I've taken my Car to Mahler's for many years. They always did a good job on my car. Other places I was never satisfied. They were also nice about my car when it broke, I was afraid to drive it home. They let my car be parked at their parking place for about 3 to 4 months, until I got a new car. Then when I picked up my car they made sure that I can drive it to the car dealer and it made it there. So I got a trade in. I recommend Mahler's cause you know that your car will be fixed and be in good condition.

As usual, Mahler's was able to recently fit me in for an oil change. In fact, this was the first one for my new car. I still bring my cars to Mahler's even though I had to move from town 4 yrs. ago. Both Tim and Roy are always great to deal with as are the mechanics for any issue.

I've used them on two different occasions and both times I was very pleased. Their prices are very fair. I had tires put on my car somewhere else where they found an oil leak and the price they quoted to repair this oil leak was double the price that Mahler's charged. They get right down to business, no small talk or time wasting. I will continue to use them for all of my car repair needs.

First, they couldn't fix my car because mitsubishi doesn't sell the part I needed. I found the part on rockauto myself. Eventually, I took the car back to get fixed and the work was done pretty quick. Unfortunately, my car is running worse after being fixed. I have nowhere near the same amount of acceleration I had before. Not to mention that the noises coming from my car are more substantial now that I've picked it up from them. I recommend going elsewhere.

Have a '04 Pontiac Grand Prix that turned off on me while driving. Would not start back up. Had my car towed to Mahler's Service on a Saturday when they were closed. Tow truck driver eft my keys in their drop slot. Called first thing Monday and they let me know that they are looking at the car. I waited a while but did not hear anything back so I called again. He let me know that it is going to take longer to figure out why it would not run but they would not charge me more for the diagnostic time. Tuesday morning they called right at 8am and told me it was a crank shaft sensor. I left there paying $303.84!. I scheduled service with them next month and will highly recommend them.

I have used Mahler's for 20 years. You can not ask for more professional people.Tim, Roy and crew are courteous, and care about your vehicle. I retired to Missouri and back to see family. Stopped to "Hi". 2 hours later developed issue with F150. They got me in next day . Thanks to "THE PRO TEAM" at Mahlers in Matteson .Highly recommended these people. 7****** (stars operation).

What happened to a company's good will?Yesterday I had the misfortune of being stranded in Hidden Manna Cafe's parking lot while I was out to lunch with a colleague. My battery died so I left her with my vehicle and walked across the lot to Mahler's Service. I waited for a few minutes to even be acknowledged by the older gentleman on the phone. He didn't wave me over. He didn't hold up one finger requesting one moment. He didn't even give me eye contact to acknowledge that I was waiting for him. Once he hung up the phone I approached the counter and shared with him that my car died in the parking lot behind the building and that I needed a jump start. He walked to the service floor and another older gentleman approached the counter. He took out a pad and asked my name and the make and model of my car. He then proceeded to tell me it would cost $50 for a jump. I repeated it just to make sure I heard him correctly. He said, "yes, $50." The attached picture shows where his business is located in relation to my stranded vehicle. I went into the building believing that someone would help me with a jump start seeing that I was right behind the building. I didn't need a tow. I didn't need a push. I just needed a jump start. I could have one from Mahler's for the low cost of $50. As things would happen, I went back into Hidden Manna and asked the server who had waited on my colleague and I if she knew someone who could provide me with a jump. No sooner than I asked the question a friend of mine appeared. I shared with him what happened with my car and he immediately helped. He provided me with a jump start and it didn't cost a thing...just a little bit of time. I work with entrepreneurs every day. I see business owners that are looking to grow and expand their business. One thing I tell them about is company good will; being able to use their company to fulfill a larger mission. I wondered why Mahler's Service was unable to extend a charitable act of good will. I wondered why they passed on an opportunity to help someone in need. Is it always about the bottom dollar? Sure, I tell my clients to monetize their knowledge and anything else that they have but I also tell them it is important to give back. I wasn't stranded on Governor's Highway, I was literally in their back yard. I was from the other side of the parking lot; literally and figuratively. Anyhoo, I respect an establishment's decision to make money, however, I was hoping to be helped in my time of need.I don't know about their service work but their customer service is disappointing. The attached picture is for illustrative purposes only. It is included to show Mahler's Service (white building) in relation to where my car was parked (represented by the red x on the left side of the picture.) The photo was taken from Google Maps and is dated September 2018.

A very good experience. Replaced the belt on my car, which I guess one has to stretch around all the pulleys. Glad I didn't try to do myself, much cursing avoided

I called and spoke with someone and I was interested in bringing a vehicle to be checked out and they said they could drive the car and give a visua check for $53 I told them Midas charge $49 and Midas is checking everything....They are overpriced and rude
