Second edit, the brakes completely gave out and ended up totaling the car after being let drive off the lot as it was. Brakes completely rusted out at only 7398miles. SICKENING how they do things here considering they almost KILLED me and my wife last nightBeware; Financed a 24 forte gt through them with an unlimited and basic warranty that I bought for basically nothing. Trying to deny warranty claim of warped rotors when I ve never abused this vehicle at only 6000 miles. Vehicle shakes when slowing down. Complete headache

I just had the best experience with Kevin Barton. He spotted me out even when I was trying to be low key. I advised I didn't want to be pressured and he listened to every word I had to say. He then asked me to wait 3 mi uses and brought back the perfect car for me. It was within my price range and he was able to get me a sweet deal. Hands down the best sells person I have had in a long time thank you for your professionalism and patience with me.

Everything happened so fast! The experience of buying a car was not something I'm familiar with, but in the end it all was good.My family and I came just to look at cars, (It is my first one) We definitely were Not planning to buy one so quickly or drive it off the lot.We literally walked in and Galo came to help us out. He was a great salesman and took care of all our requests. He already had an idea of a perfect car for us, and it turned out to be the right choice.When it was time to think about the numbers, his manager helped as much as he could, and I truly appreciate his efforts. Even when we told him that we didn't have everything prepared to buy immediately, he was accommodating to figure out a way to get us a deal right away.The only hesitation I felt was when we got to the financing part and we had to sit with the money guy to figure out how we were going to pay everything out. He was really loud. I flinched a couple of times throughout the conversations because of the sound. We were in a small closed room, sitting in front of the desk. There was no need to yell. I'm guessing this was one of those car dealership gimmicks, scare the quite kid into agreeing with whatever just to have him stop talking so loud. Lol.Overall it was not bad, but I really hope that I don't have to buy a new car for a long time.

If you need to buy a car, ask for Matt Jones, known as "MJ"! He was great to work with. My husband and I bought a carnival. MJ gave us time to discuss matters and he went out of his way to make sure details were handled well with the vehicle. I felt like he took care of us as customers. He even offered us lunch that was catered to the car dealership. I'm sure you will be very happy working with MJ and buying a vehicle from Gerald Kia of Matteson. Also, Andrew, in the finance department, was great to work with!

My experience was amazing! Shaun made sure all of my questions were answered and was very detail oriented when explaining the features of my 2023 KIA RIO. Tony was great as well, (during the paperwork portion of my experience), he answered my questions and helped guide me through the process. He even promptly responded to my follow up questions via email. Once in my car .Shaun helped connect my new KIA to the KIA connect App and helped connect my phone via bluetooth. The process was seemless. Thank you, Hawkinson KIA and especially to Shaun and to Tony for a great experience!!

Had a great experience car shopping yesterday! Shaun was so helpful, knowledgeable and nice! He made the car buying process smooth and simple. Andrew was also very helpful and knowledgeable while doing the financials! He was very clear, personable and really broke things down so you knew exactly what you were getting. Beware!!! Ran my credit 19 times had a 750 credit when I went in not anymore anyways a truck at $37800 plus 5000 in fees and 10% interest is roughly $46000 but yet they wanna finance it for 70k plus . Then the sales men says the thermoplastic paint all over it don t matter it s a used work truck has an accident and a scratched bumper missing runners then called the sales manager and got hung up on

PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM HERE !! The GM Joshua Breen is the biggest scam artist fraudulent guy to exist. We agreed to certain OTD price over the phone trusted the salesperson named Onteral that its on recorded line and will honor it - decides to raise the price in person - we then decide to agree on the extra charges have it signed and then runs our credit info without our consent with the GM coming back at full MSRP on a telluride after doing a hard inquiry. Extremely shady and not willing to take accountability. Unprofessional knowing the consumer is pregnant and making it hell process just to keep playing these sick games and having to "sold" each car moments after sending a written proposal. Never came across any dealer that would make someone go through hell and be ok with pregnant women leaving in tears due to numerous deceit on their end. STAY AWAY AT ALL COST!

We had a great experience with MJ (Matt Jones) in purchasing a Kia Telluride. His communication confirming the appointment was concise, polite, and detailed. He had the vehicle we wished to view and test drive ready for us upon arrival, knew all of the specs, and answered all our questions well. No nonsense and fair negotiation on the trade in. Salesman Matt Jones was very delightful to deal with. From my first phone call all the way to the moment I left with my car I was treaded like family. Matt made me feel comfortable throughout my whole process. He spent quality time explaining everything to me. I am nothing but pleased with my experience. Everything was great until I met the finance manager Matt Bucey. This is coming from one salesman to another, his methods of selling that involve pressuring a customer to make a decision they don t was is very crappy. I told him no to a package he was trying to sell me three times and that s when you re supposed to give up. After the 3rd no, he sighed, shook his head, and said I think you re making a very bad decision. Who tells a buying customer they are making a bad decision. Pretty bad on his end and I lost all respect for him at that point. He then told me okay well I did your APR down to 8.5% which I was cool with. Fast forward a week later and I get the finance info from the bank we went through and it says 9.09%. So he I denied his package he was trying to sell, so then he decides to markup the APR to make money on the back end still. Very unpleased with Matt Bucey. Due to him, I will never recommend anyone to this dealership. The car salesman was fine he just seemed complacent by forgetting where he set my drivers license and insurance card. The dealership has told me three times now they wrote down my name and a number and a manager would call me within the day and all three times nobody has attempted to call me. Hate leaving a bad review which was never the plan(I told Matt in person I m a salesman and Ik these reviews effect your job so I didn t want to leave one) so I just told him what I thought about him in person. Now that I see he changed the apr last minute without telling me really pissed me off so I don t care what happens to that dude because he didn t care about me as a customer

Purchased a 2024 Kia Sportage on January 26th and it has already had to be brought back to the dealership twice now with problems.. First and oil leak out of the blue and now some clunking noise. Not only does the vehicle have less than 3k miles on it with 2 serious issues but the customer service has been awful. We told them it was our only vehicle and that I've had to miss multiple days of work because of this with no effort made by the dealership to get us a loaner. Just a "Sorry we don't have one right now".Unbelievably disappointed in the level of customer care from them. No updates, can't even get a hold of anyone in the service center.. Very upset!

I have a lot to say about Gerald Kia.. and unfortunately not good things. This is by NO MEANS a reflection of our salesman - because Franklin was honestly great. He did everything we needed but unfortunately his management team did not.Let s start out with saying I purchased my new vehicle on a Monday night in the middle of winter. We pretty much knew the cars we were interested in sportage or sorento. We ended up going with the sorento. I should preface it was dark out when I purchased the vehicle.Wednesday morning rolls around (I did not drive my car at all that Tuesday as I work from home) and I go outside and notice a giant dent, something that could easily have been missed while it was dark out. I then got in the car and it smelled like smoke - now keep in mind I am not a smoker and the smell was masked (or at least I felt it was by cleaning supplies). I called Gerald Kia immediately and they said that I could bring it in and they could maybe fix the problem. I wanted to bring my car in to examined but no one was answering me on when I could bring it in. . I then turned to Facebook and got another contact for a different general manager at another Kia - so I emailed him to try and help me which I should mention he truly did make up for the lack of care and concern that Joshua had. Coincidentally right after I sent the email, the general manager, Greg, gave me a call letting me know they would be fixing the dent and smell. So, I brought my car into the dealership for them to examine just a couple of days before Christmas. Joshua Breen ultimately decided they would be fixing the dent and they would do an ozone treatment for the smell. Joshua Breen (general manager) gave me a we owe you for the dent and ozone. He let me know that he would be making an appointment for me to get the treatment and dent fixed. Considering it was a holiday weekend, I did not bother to follow up on an appointment until a couple of days after. Eventually I reached out to Joshua FOUR times and he never returned my calls or emails. Finally, I resulted into emailing the general manager from the other Kia again. Eventually, he told me he would fix the issue and not to worry about them but that it would get fixed. Coincidentally, again, after I was told that, they were calling me to make an appointment to get the dent and smell fixed. I was finally able to bring it in two weeks after the initial examination. When I brought it in, no general managers came to me to talk to me about the car, they all just sat behind their desks and ignored me. Franklin (my car salesman) was the guy to get everything situated get for me a loaner, pulled it up, turned it on for me.My car was then in possession of Gerald for two weeks - they first got the dent fixed but then it stretched the paint when it was fixed so it had to be repainted. They also did do the ozone treatment. I will say - the dent IS fixed and the smell seems to have gone away! Which I am thankful for. Again, when I picked up my car they sent me straight to service, no manager came out and talked to me, just the service technician.Unfortunately, my review doesn t stop there. I reside in IN and bought a car in IL. Today I called the IN bmv to see if they got the paperwork and they hadn t but advised me to call the dealership. So I did just that - come to find out from the titling department - I am supposed to get a vin check from IN bmv before they can send the paperwork over! The titling department told me that Andrew, our finance guy, should have told us this. But that information was completely left out. I even double checked with my husband to make sure I did not miss anything!All in all - although my car has been fixed, I am still extremely disappointed with my experience here at Gerald Kia aside from frank our salesman!

Bought a Kia optima at the end of May with the salesperson, Lucky. Well I guess I wasn t so lucky on my purchase.Driver back light was broken. Someone on the team broke the taillight and left the car. So this took 2 weeks to come in. Went to get it fixed, so I thought, and it was the wrong part ordered. Second time is the charm. NO we back 2 weeks later because we were told the right part is now in. Once again, they ordered the wrong part for my car. Thirds the charm nope wrong part again. They went and found me a back light because it took them 3 wrong tries. Each time we waited was over 2 hours.Proceed to next issue. One month of having my car, I started to hear the sound of metal when I accelerated.Called the dealership they said I would have to pay for a full diagnostic test.No, I am doing this. Car literally is fresh off their lot. They did nothing and wasn t interested in my issue.Went and got one of the complimentary oil changes in August. Told the person there about the sound of metal again. Was told that we would have to make a separate appointment because this was just an oil change appointment and we would once again have to pay for the diagnostic.Fast forward to almost 5 months later, and what do I have on my hands. An oil leak which is coming from the engine block. Called them to describe my issue and to tell them that this is ridiculous. Was told that after 3 months or 5,000 miles it is nothing they can do about it.But I complained regarding the metal issue way before 3 months and 5,000 miles, which most likely was all connected from the start.Do not purchase from this dealership. They have the, they don t care attitude. They got their money out of the deal already and your problem is your problem.

Just purchased my 2024 Kia Carnival. I must say Joshua Lamb was great at helping me with everything that I needed. He made my experience an amazing one at Gerald Kia of Matteson. It was a pleasure working with him and I would highly recommend him. All the staff there were friendly as well. I m very happy with the service provided.

Hi All,I bought my new car from this place and it was a great pleasant experience buying from these folks. They were located 40 miles away from my home, I had relocated to the city recently and as I didnt had a car before to visit their showroom I requested the Price quote and all other details over the phone. Cesar Lopez was the first person whom I spoke to and he gave all the details I needed in less than 20 mins very patiently and quickly. As my daughter is 5 years old and didnt had car I was thinking too much on how to visit the showroom to close this deal. Cesar quickly spoke to his manager Brandon Santoro who booked a Uber for me and next day till I reached their showroom he was checking if I got the ride assistance which I requested and was everything going fine with me. After we reached Christina Mejdrich welcomed our family with a smile and 1st thing she checked was if we needed water to drink or etc as we had travelled with my Child. In less than 15 mins Brandon Santoro matched the price what Cesar gave me over phone, they didnt even increase 1 Cent or changed any of the word they said in phone. Then I had to withdraw money from nearby bank, so Christina and Brandon gave me a car in short notice. Then Matt Bucey assisted to great extent as well to complete my finance part, he has very good knowledge too. Everyone in this place frequently checked with us if we needed Coffee or etc. Once all paper work was done Christina came outside and explained each and every feature of the car very well, she also told me after reaching my home if I have any questions or needed help I can reach her. She was very very kind and helpful too.After we took the car delivery in 3 days we decided not to proceed with Sunroof installation, so I called Brandon and requested if they can refund $1,400 as that will be very helpful to me. He spoke to his manager immediately and got the approval then sent me the cheque in regular mail. He is perfect gentleman and has excellent patience. After 2 weeks also I didnt get it, so I asked him to send the cheque with tracking number and very next day he sent. Finally I got it and noone in this place said no to any of my requests. I felt they take very good care of the customers. If anyone wants to buy a car please get in touch with this showroom and I am sure you will write much better reviews than I have written. If you have any questions or you want to clarify anything, please feel free to reach me.I am not getting enough words to describe their dedication and their positive attitude to understand customers needs well so that they can help the customers efficiently. I would say they are the best dealer and I wont even compare them with other dealers who do nothing but pretend as if they can get you a good deal. If you want a memorable car buying experience and dont want to go through any confusion, this is the showroom you need to stop at :):). Before I went to them I spoke to atleast 30 dealers from other states as well but none of them were willing to help me as I was requesting the price on phone.Below are the persons who helped me in this showroom to great extent and I am very thankful to them. Aaron was very thoughtful with helping us connect our phones and setting app for auto start. He explained features of the car. I had an amazing buying experience with Shaun. I was not pressured into looking at anything I felt was our of my budget. Shaun took the time to explain every feature to me before we even started the car for a test drive. This is my second Kia and an upgrade from my 2020 to a 2023. Shaun helped me change over my stuff from my old vehicle to my new vehicle. He made sure that I was enrolled in all the apps properly and I knew how to work everything. I will definitely recommend any family and friends go see Shaun for any future car purchases.

Wish I'd known: a $200 charge for "diagnostics". Three problems = $600. Yikes! They don't have a part so they have to order, that's not pleasant but understandable. But then they get the part and they don't tell me. For three weeks. Then it turns out it's the wrong part, have to reschedule. Then a person calls up and gets mad because I refuse to sell this car and buy a new one.I'm thinking I should charge them $200 for this review. Think of it as a "diagnostic."

If you don t buy a car the salesmen and manager will make fun of you and your family on the way out! They laughed and played a clown sound. If they use that every time they can t close a deal it must get used ALOT.They said they could beat a price I received from Orland Kia but they just didn t have the car . They said they could have it transferred by the end of the day and meanwhile tried to upsell a more expensive vehicle. When I declined that, they said they wouldn t have the car I want until Monday and kept pushing the more expensive vehicle. They tried all of usual tricks and were upset I didn t fold.
