Firestone in Matteson is the best experience I ve had in automotive care. I ve been using auto care for over thirty years and never been more satisfied. It starts with management. Chris Parks exemplifies customer service. He is polite, caring, knowledgeable, and efficient. He meets the customer where they are. If they are waiting he does everything he can to accommodate and get you in and out in a timely manner. Chris provides the type of service that keeps me coming back. He is an example to the entire team and for what good looks like.

The level of experience and service was not professional at all. I had an scheduled appointment and sat in the waiting area for an hour and a half, then they tell me I have some sort of leak so they won't perform my oil change. I didn't need them to diagnose any existing problems, just change the oil. I was willing to pay for it. Stop guessing stuff and do what you are getting paid to do and not speculate on what you think it might be. Me and my family will never go back to Firestone for any service, along with friends I also know that occasionally go there.

Great service as always. Was a little taken aback by a call asking of I wanted to test for a wheel alignment and then charged for it. I bought 4 tires, of course I need a wheel alignment and why isn't that included when you're buying 4 tires? That part didn't make any sense, but as stated, great service as always.

Got there rather late but they checked important things before my Memorial Day trip. I now feel more confident to make the journey downstate in my 13 year old Toyota. Service Advisor Mike is friendly & explained well the car's current condition, plus he gave me a $100 off coupon I could use from June 8 through 11th for a needed repair. Thanks Firestone.

Me and My wife have been coming here for years. Yesterday had one of the worst experience ever with a very rude young lady who was running the cash register at closing. Asked a simple question about my exhaust flex pipe being broken and got responded back with the pure attitude. Will only be going to the Homewood location moving forward. Thank God I have only had my tires done by this location over the years, because I would have been sick to my stomach if this was my main mechanic for everything!!! Will not be returning.

It feels like I am being swindled every time I get something there. It is so over priced. After spending over $1000 I still don't have my problem fixed. Tie rods ends shouldn't cost that much to fix.Edit: The technician was actually very helpful. That said, the prices are out of his control and I still feel like I am being fleeced. I will go here for the technician though. He was very professional and gave me some solid advice. Of course, he was trying to make the sale, but that comes with the business. So I will take the good with the bad. Still make have to do something else to make sure I get better deals on the work. Paying double to get a specific job done is not what I consider saving or helping.

I RECOMMEND THAT YOU NEVER GO HERE THIS IS DEFINITELY MY FIRST AND LAST TIME EVER. I came to this Firestone to get an oil change which would of been my first time ever coming here.I dropped my car off at Firestone for just an Oil change. Once my oil change was done my car was picked up and parked in my drive way. I continue to drive my company car as usual For a 2days days. Once I check my house there is oil leaking everywhere on the ground from my car since the day of the oil change. I inspected it more and my car continued to leak oil. About 2 wide area that were about 5ft long if not more. I called firestone in Matteson who did the original oil change and they said drive it to them they will fix it. So I told them It s a lot of lost oil I don't think driving it is safe so it was towed to the nearest location which is Tinley Park Firestone. They kept my car for a weekend and told me it was fixed and the problem was that no oil plugs were put on my car which is why I lost all the oil. I came to pick up my car park it back and continue to drive my company cars for about 2 more days then decides to drive my personal car again. As soon as I started the car my check engine light came on and i could not accelerate my care passed 2nd gear. I called Firestone they said they will come take a look at it and pick up the vehicle. After a few days of them looking over the vehicle I was told to take the car to Hyundai and they will fix it no charge. Hyundai takes my car and tells me there a few fault codes that could be caused due to the oil situation and it would cost about $300 based off of the fault codes. Then after having a mechanic look over my car completely they said they saw more issue that they felt was caused due to the oil situation with firestone of me losing oil due to no oil plugs and driving it which would cost over $1000. So I made a claim with Bridgestone corporate and they said they would contact the location and speak with them to consult the situation. I get a phone call back from the Hyundai dealer and was told that someone from the Firestone location in Matteson said they will not pay for any repairs. The service advisor at Hyundai told me he was told to clear the codes on my car and give me the vehicle as if it was fixed when they deliberately know it's not. The Service Advisor told me that being that he felt it was mischievous and to cover himself and that he felt I should have been aware of that. What they suggested is fraudulent concealment. As soon as I found out I called corporate made them aware of the issue and they just apologized and said they have no oversee over that location as that they will look into it. Its been a week and a half going on 2 weeks still no returned phone call from corporate. WORST CORPORATION AND COMPANY EVER

Always make an appointment, and don't write a check...he shouted, "don't you have a credit card?, This will take like ten minutes to go through". He was pleased when it only took one.

They did not put the correct tires on my car. They offered to take $100 off for the mistake. I regret keeping the tires. I slide on puddles and leaves. This winter will be very scary driving with the kids in the car. My old tires were better then the new tires. And, some of the staff is not welcoming. They seem bothered to assist customers with questions.Service: Tires

Was in to get tires, most of what they offer had to be ordered, meaning a return trip. Prices were average, but I found a better price elsewhere on a comparable Goodyear tire. Selection kinda limited on certain sizes.

They diagnosed the problem and it was a simple fix, but since they weren t able to do it without replacing the entire exhaust system that wasn t necessary they sent me to another service provider who did the work at a cheaper price. I appreciate them for being honest and sending to me to someone who would do a good job. I will go back to them for other work necessary work in the future.Service: Exhaust

Fantastic service i did go later in the day at 3pm but they were fast let me know if there were any problems. Also had the tires in stock even though i myself originally gave the wrong tire size. Waiting area was clean and spacious and service reps were fantastic! Definitely going back when i need more service

While on the way to work, I had a few brake related lights pop up on my dash. This was the closest place open on a Sunday. I spoke with Chris over the phone. He was very friendly and seemed very honest. It took this team about an hour to get back to me with what they had found (I did not have an appointment) and an additional 1.5 hours to complete the repairs (rotors, pads, brake fluid, oil change). The price was very fair, which was a really nice surprise. Very happy with the service, professionalism, and not pulling my pants down over the price. I'll be a repeat customer solely based on the excellent customer service I received today.

Mike has terrible customer service skills. How do you get an attitude when I have a 7am appointment, drop my car off the night before, you call me at 7am to verify what I want done. I call you at 10am you still haven't looked at my car?? Then you tell me two more hrs... With an attitude, really?. Not for a tire rotation. Yes Mike, I'm going to ask what's going on. Lose the attitude. This is the third strike with this place holding one of my cars hostage. Learn to honor your appointments and leave Mike in the back.

I made an appointment to get a new tire for 3pm. I got to the place 2:45pm. By 3:45pm I asked the guy in the front when they would start working on my car and this clown s response was do you want your keys back ? The audacity and rudeness from this grown clown was astounding! I will never return to this place! Very unprofessional and rude.

This location in Matteson is not customer friendly. I dropped off my vehicle at 9:30am. I called at 4pm and was told they were during my wheel alignment and I could pick up at 5pm. When I arrived they had not started my vehicle because they called me with my brake light was out and I did respond. I had to wait for another 1.5 hr for the wheel alignment. This location called and it said Spam on my phone. No one answer Spam calls. This location sucks.. Do not come here.

Customer service could be improve. My car was towed at 10am on Wed. The entire day came and went without any call or update as to when it would be serviced. By 10:30am on Thursday, I called to see if it had been looked it and very nonchalantly, I was told it was 2nd to be looked at . I received a call about an hour later and was told the problem and that it might be fixed today if the part comes in on time. Part came in, car was fixed and when I went to pick it up, I stood in line over 7 minutes before I was even acknowledged and told someone would be with me shortly. The reality is, the opportunity for anyone to get to me shortly had long passed. These issues are small but collectively, they leave this customer dissatisfied. I feel like the staff could use some brushing up on common courtesies. No way should the entire business day come and go without an update and if that was unavoidable, no way should an update not be a priority at the start of the next day. The staff also took on a matter-of-fact tone each time I called as if the answers to my questions should be obvious but that s not the case when you have not shared simple information and details because you are not providing the courtesy of an update.

I brought my truck in for an oil change @ the Firestone in Matteson. The technician Jason put the wrong filter on my car which caused the oil to leak out & locked my engine. It required an aluminum filter & he put a paper filter on. I contacted Christopher ( the supervisor) explained to him what happened. He said the 2 filters couldn t be interchanged. He know that the technician put the wrong filter on & they do not want to be responsible for damaging my vehicle. They assumed because I m a female I didn t have product knowledge. This experience is a nightmare. I contacted corporate & talked to Kolby he gave me a claim # after leaving several messages & no reply my last message was I m going to have yo contact my lawyer & he immediately called back. Very unprofessional & upset he sent someone out & they said it wasn t their fault. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH FIRESTONE. I sent an email 2 weeks ago to the email address below & haven t heard from them yet.

I can t share enough how positive my experience was here. I brought my car in from out of town on a trip. I had a diagnosis done and they deemed they did not have the part in stock and recommended a competitor in town who was most likely to have it. After I discovered the competitor did not have it either, I brought my car back. The Firestone staff let me leave my car in their lot so I could catch my flight out of Chicago. My car was fixed and waiting for me when I returned. Not only that, they stored it inside for me at their spare truck lift at no additional charge.If that wasn t enough, the gentleman that helped back my car off the lift noticed the brakes weren t operating properly. He popped the hood right in the lot, identified the issue, and fixed it in two minutes while I stood there again, at no additional charge.My experience here was exemplary of fantastic customer service. I can t recommend this place enough, even if it is a bit of a hike from your location. The service was fantastic, they did not take advantage of me, and the work done fixed my issue. Thank you!

Unfortunately, your experience here will vary widely depending on who's servicing you. They might save you some money or they could refuse to record your appointment, say "that's not our number" when you show what day/time you called to schedule, and then, only after re-dialing the number and hearing the office phone ring, hear "oh, I forgot" from the gentleman at the counter. Pray for the best.
