I have purchased a second hand truck last summer and it has an HP 2000 installed but it is not working. I can't comment on Park Industries yet but I'll update soon 1st Update : I have finally made it to HP 2000 and I must tell you that I haven't seen any of the behavior some drivers are complaining about. The shop is actually OK, I wouldn't avoid them. Obviously they have the right tools and knowledge to fix these units, that's for sure. My unit is 7 years old and was an absolute dead beat and somehow they managed to bring it back to life! The owner, Hally and the mechanics are really cool and quite nice. I don't understand how some of the drivers are complaining about the shop. But then if you show up with the wrong attitude I can understand why some of yall get the cold shoulder. I can't wait to use my newly revived unit! I'll update you on pricing and how it runs in a few weeks.

STAY AWAY!It will cost you more than $11,500 for this horrible APU in stress. I should of bought a Thermo King, that is what I get for trying to save some money. Do yourself a favor and choose Thermo King or Carrier! You will save yourself a lot of stress.WHY ARE THE REVIEWS DISABLED ON FACEBOOK FOR THIS COMPANY? Because most of their customers come from Facebook and other social media platforms and they don t want people knowing how terrible their product and customer service is. Thermo King, Carrier, Green APU, and Rig Masters allows reviews on Facebook. This company does not. Makes you wonder doesn t it? Go look at the negative reviews on Google, Better Business Bureau, & Yelp for this company.I had their APU installed 6-22-22. It over heated within 14 days of use and the pipe froze on the second day. (See photos) I text Randy the general manager and he rudely text me back that I would have to schedule an appointment to have someone look at it ONE WEEK later. Randy called me after I had explicitly told him and Holly to email or text me (after his rude text) for accountability. When I said I wanted my money back on 7-14-22 during that call, Randy said, your not getting your money back, goodbye! and he hung up on me. Not professional at all.He will respond to this review and tell you that they did no wrong, they care about all reviews good or bad, and their product is superior to other brands. None of it is true! For example, they say their APU puts out 20,000 BTU s, well why doesn t it blow nearly as cold as a Thermo King? If you read Randy s responses to other reviews he likes to blame the customer and spout off random facts about when they called, came in, etc. he even insulted one of the reviewers by commenting on how many reviews he had done on Google. He never apologizes or fixes the problem. He will probably do the same when he responds to this review. The truth is I had a freezing pipe and a overheating code within 125 hours! The photos below prove that. Nothing he says is a good enough excuse for that to happen but he still will blame me instead of taking responsibility and standing behind his product. You can run a Thermo King 2000 hours in-between services or more and it won t do what this unit did within 125 hours. Oh and if your Thermo King does break down, you can get it fixed just about any place in the US within two days. With their APU they will schedule you a week out and then you will have to find the time to go to Marion, IL. Not very convenient at all.I really do care about my fellow owner ops and some of you are considering this place because they are cheaper than other manufacturers. They are CHEAPER! Cheaper customer service, and absolutely a cheaper product.I really hope you heed my warning STAY AWAY!

Fantastic service!!! Called on Tuesday with a few problems I needed addressed and Holly was on it. She was able to schedule me for the next day to get repairs done. In and out in under 2 hours with all repairs. PJ was knowledgeable about what he was saying and the explanations he could provide were in layman s terms so also east to understand. I ve had my unit about a year and recommend it any time I m asked about it. Will only bring my unit here to be fixed when necessary. Highly recommend them to anyone.

I purchased 4 HP 2000 APU's for my trucks. I have had nothing but problems with every single one of them! In fact, we have torn off 2 of the HP 2000's and replaced them with Thermoking Tri-Pac. The 3rd HP 2000 will be torn off very soon. This is why I am wrinting this review, because it was such a terrible mistake to install these units. The HP 2000 has never worked properly from day one. It is a bad design, especially the fuse box placement inside the box where it gets the direct heat from the motor. The second bad problem with the HP 2000 is getting it serviced. There are only 2 locations in the USA (as of 5/2022) where you can get these things worked on. That is a huge inconvience. Thermoking has well over 200 servicing locations nationwide. I wish I had never heard about HP 2000!!!!!!I am sure that Randy will have some type of come back, refuting everything that I have posted, to make himself and Parks industry look like they sell the best product ever.

Just had it installed today! Only took them four hours to install the unit with a 2000 watt inverter air tower step and platform .I was expecting it to take all day Very friendly staff very informative. Did a beautiful job on the install they have a great drivers lounge .. I did a lot of research before I bought a APU . I m pretty sure that this is the right choice This is made in Marion, Illinois, USA baby!!

"YES" stay AWAY!!!! HP2000 APU/P the unit they install IS JUNK your going to have to call your LAWYER on this company.it don't put out 20,000 BTU. It has not cooled the truck off at all with 85 degree today. If your looking to get one install do yourself a favor and don't dooo it. They will not give you your money backThe crazy thing the manager keep say you sign off ON IT. Like that make it right.I see in most of the reviews where people are having problems with the unitYou keep saying you sign off on it.Sur that does not make it right.Im telling you something is wrong with the unit. The day of install it was cool a few day ago so there really was no way to tell if it was working correctly. But now that it hot out here 85 degrees. it not cooling the truck offI'm not sure how you fix something under warranty that you claim isn't broke

Just wanted to say I love my HP2000, I was broke down in Ashton, Idaho for 4 days (truck motor issues) the temps were in the single digits, I barley idled my truck, the unit did a great job of keeping my dog and I warm, anyone who is thinking about buying a unit and thinking it's too much money it's very well worth it. You will save in fuel and idle less. Thank you Parks Industry!!! You will definitely have our business again.

From 120 degree Summers to -7 degree Winters, my HP2000 APU and Bunk Heater has done everything as advertised. Last night I turned my Truck off while parked on a block of ice that used to be Rawlins WY Flying J parking lot, and the APU kept the Fuel, Coolant, and Batteries functional. Truck started up this morning with zero issues, after 14 hours of sitting in sub zero wind and ice. Highly recommend this APU. Worth every penny.

These people are just as awesome as the APU they sell and service. Had mine installed Jan of 2021...works flawlessly not to mention saves me $$$$ especially with diesel prices being what they are. Best investment I've made in a long time. Highly recommend!!!

People at Parks are very friendly and helpful. Randy always responded quickly to any question I may have had before I bought the unit. When they installed the unit they did do it in about 4 hrs. I haven t had any issues with my unit. I would and do recommend this unit to anyone looking to buy one. I also changed the oil a few days ago and that is easy, easy to work. Don t hesitate to buy this unit!

I've had my unit for three years and 3000 hours. Ive loved it since the beginning. It is awesome during down time to set the battery monitor and never worry about dead batteries. It blows cold or hot depending on your desire. I have the Kohler engine and it runs quietly. As good as the unit is, the customer service is unparalleled. Randy and all the folks at Parks Industries are very personable, friendly, and truly cares about your satisfaction and the reputation of their product. Today, with only a few hours notice, I showed up for a service. They had me in and out in a very short time and gave that same customer service that was there on the day I bought it.... I would recommend them above any other unit out there.

APU has never ran good consistently. Although the costumer service is generally good, the product is not up to par. Would love to sell the unit back to them.

Mine is a lemon , it s only ever worked for 4-6 weeks and would break down. The last repair was over $800 and like clockwork it broke down again. Hasn t worked in 5 months! And. I m not wasting another $1 on fixing it. It s the most unreliable piece of equipment I ve ever had, and the will not buy it back/ refund/ or exchange it. Because of the way they sell it to a leasing company that you buy it from.. so their crooked little hands are clean..I wish I never the dann thing. And I warn everyone who ask to avoid them.

Since switching to the HP2000 APU, I've saved money on fuel costs and reduced my carbon footmark. The APU's quiet operation is also a huge feature that I use, allowing me to sleep soundly without noisy disruptions.

Parks Industries is a small company dedicated to serving the trucking industry. My opinion is they have a great business values with a excellent product. In the last 4 years I have had a few issues but it's a machine. When I needed technical help they were more than just helpful.I have seen the comments and some of these people think the APU'S were made in heaven by angels. They are mobile machines that need maintenance and service.I would take all the 1 star with a grain of salt and make a call or visit, make the call yourselfPersonally I am very pleased all around.

Parks Industries has a very friendly professional staff, they are very helpful and answered every question we had. The HP2000 is less expensive and weighs less than other APU's. Our unit is working great. Highly recommend.

My name is RobertI own a 2019 western star 5700xe with 150 gallon tanks on both sides I spent around a year looking for an apu I tried thermo king and all the rest and all of them told me there was no way to install an apu on my truck since i did not have frame space so I talked to Randy at park ind. And made an appointment for a catwalk mount when I showed up randy came out and looked at the situation and said there was no way to do a catwalk mount so one of the installers came out and looked it over and figured out it could be installed on passenger side frame rail just had to make a new bracket for back part of fairing so basically no problems there.cost a little extra but I was happy to hear that They could install a unit on my truck. Unit was installed in june 2020 I have over 1400 hours on the unit which by the way is a perkins motor. I have had no problems with the perkins motor at all its easy to service I do it all myself I buy my filters thru napa. To service unit takes less then a half hour . Now I had an issue with it not getting cab cool I called randy and talked to him he asked me what the temp coming out of unit was it was 60 degrees with is normal for hp2000. So what it came down to was my fault I had a container blocking air flow under bunk so took care of that unit has been working great all summer . I have a thermo king evolution on my 2016 western star 5700xe so i can honestly say there is a little difference between the two thermo king is a bit cooler in the summer but not by much and thermo king is loger pm service intervals but also more costly then hp2000. Not to mention thermo king is more costly on the purchase price. This has been my experience with the hp2000I personally am very happy with the unit and so far no complaints.I really want to say thank you to randy and Holly and all the installers at hp 2000 at park ind. In marion ill.You all do such a great job and it's a pleasure to do business with you.SincerelyRobert Loger

The motor mount has been welded from cracking. I have 2300 hours on the unit and it hasn t ran more then a week with out breaking since March of 2018. I have had it at several different shops including back at the main shop for repairs. Still not running correct at all. But if anyone is interested it s for sale for 2500 dollars

Got my HP2000 installed last Tuesday, also had them install a bunk heater. From the time I pulled into the shop, to pulling out, exactly 5 hours. Thats pretty awesome, it's a pretty big job but they have it figured out to do it that quick!

I first want to say that I m a hard person to sell just anything to. But we found Parks Industry at the Truck Show at Louisville,Ky. Now we run an older truck that doesn t get that new truck gas mileage of 7 or 8. So every little penny counts to us. We purchased our first HP2000 I believe it was back in 2014. We were very pleased with the insulation process and how well it actually worked. Now understand my husband uses his APU constantly. Where he goes it s illegal to idle your truck in parts of the state of New York. Now because he uses it so much certain maintenance has to be done just like on your truck to properly maintain this piece of equipment. Now we have had to replace certain parts over time but like I said my husband uses his all the time. He literally wore the first one out to the point that it was no longer feasible to repair it. So we purchased our second one in 2016. Now he has just shy of 8000.hours on it. Again he uses it all the time. So yes over time some of the parts are going to wear out. But all the staff at Parks Industry are very helpful and they go above and beyond to fix a problem right. Now all of you who had a bad experience did you do any maintenance at all? Like change the oil, fuel filter? Change the belts? Did you take it in for a yearly inspection? Did you let them fix it if it was still under warranty? Seriously why not give them the opportunity to fix a wrong before bashing their product? Did you happen to stop and think it might have been one of their suppliers who was suppling them the parts? Don t try to tell me you have never gotten ahold of a bad brand new part. With every new product it takes time to work all the bugs out of it. We are not sorry that we have been a customer with them and I will continue to promote their product because I can honestly so people how it saved us 2000.00 a month in fuel cost right off the top. So you can do the math it paid for itself in 1 yr. We look forward to purchasing our 3 rd one here in the near future. Keep up the good work and keep making those wonderful improvements. Please share my email with anyone who actually wants to see our numbers because I m will to show them.

I have to say Randy and the ENTIRE staff has gone WAY above and beyond with us. They are ALL very friendly and professional. The install went flawless and I just cannot say enough good about the entire staff. I stopped in to see them a couple times for service and was met with smiling faces and over the top service!!! We have had our unit for 8 months now and are very pleased with our purchase and all the people standing behind it. I highly recommend looking into a Park s Industries APU. They are like family and truly care about the products they sell, and the people they sell them to. Try to find that at the big box APU store!!Go see them, and tell them Don sent ya.

After buying a used unit for my 1st truck and having intalled by a supposed dealer and service center who took 3 days to install unit which ran well just leaked oil. I had bought parts a dealt with Parks parts dept and others over the years and was able to fix anything I needed to so when I decided to put a new APU. on my new truck I wanted the Extreme and I wanted a factory install. Night and day difference in the install the guys in the shop did a very professional job and looks like it was installed when truck was built cabling and hoses all secured inplace and out of site and done in 7 hrs. Not 3 days. If your looking to buy an HP2000 go to Parks Industries and have them install it.

It raised a big RED FLAG when they ask me to lie to the bank saying that the unit was installed and working so that they can get paid before the unit was even installed on the truckI will be returning my HP2000 APU by Perkins because it kept overheating and shutting off in the summer defeating the purpose and the muffler came off so the smoke is getting into the sleeper as a result I ve been getting headaches do to carbon monoxide poisoning and I m constantly waking up do to the loud noiseAlso I can t run my toaster oven with the 50amp alternator witch I was told by Randy it wouldn t be a problem. And thats why I wanted the unit with 150amp alternator to get more power to run my appliancesMuffler fell off-FixedBlower Speed adjustment doesn t work-FixedBattery Monitor doesn t work-FixedStorage Mode doesn t work-FixedComplete disappointment and waste of my time - UPDATE 02/01/18After taking my truck in for them to fix my HP2000 APUnow the APU is leaking a lot of coolant so once again I can t use my HP2000 APU - UPDATE 05/28/18Still overheating and shutting off therefore useless when is hot outside - UPDATE 09/19/18I took my cat walk of to install an inframe toolbox and found out they left a valve just hanging in the air very unprofessional service

Dont buy it. I sold my hp2000 for a 1000$ and got a thermo king tripac. My hp2000 quit working every week. Leaking coolant. Electrical problems. Overheating in summer. It only had 1800 hours. I even went to the HQ for help. They are nice peoples but the hp2000 is just bad. My tripac never quit. Zero problems and I already have 3000 hours on it and only doing oil change. Seriously you will regret and suffer from hp2000 like I did.

I purchased my first HP2000 from Parks Industries in June 2016. It had a Kohler Engine. I have recently purchased a second unit with a Kabuto Engine which I believe is a quieter, more reliable Engine. I love my HP2000 unit. I like the fact that it is Self Contained. I have a nice Truck...there is no Condenser mounted to the back of my Cab. I like the fact that it has an Inverter, not generator, to power my appliances. I can make coffee for instance with the unit on, the truck running, or with nothing running. I do not have to change a thing! If it were a generator I would. I cook in my truck. I can power everything. The Staff and Service reps are wonderful also. Randy is always available to answer any questions I may have while on the road. If I need service, it's in and out. Mike and everyone else is very knowledgeable about the unit and the whole installation process. Did I mention I had a nice Truck...the unit looks like it was Factory installed!! I use it every night on the road. The Heating/AC makes my Cab like home.

So a lot of the negative reviews on here are about their units needing serviced to frequently.Fact is APU s are a complicated thing. That s why every APU company I ve ever heard of has problems.I haul for tours and I run with company trucks that have Thermo King APU s. They are in the shop just as much or more than I have been for their APU s.The difference is the guys at Parks industries are a small company that give You personalized service. They know you and your truck and they remember you. Your not just another number to them. If there is a problem they work hard to fix it. They double and triple check things before you leave their shop. They do their absolute best and they are friendly while they do it.
