I had several dealings with JD's Repair. There are many things I love about them! First, it's a incredibly well run family business. Brenda at the front counter in so nice and friendly. She's very honest about what you need and they never try to over sell you on anything. JD is super knowledgable and does a great job explaining everything step by step. They communicate very clearly and educate you on what needs to be done and why. You will walk away knowing that they truly care about their customers! You will be very happy you found this place.

Set up an appointment at 10am. Dropped vehicle off at 10am. I was told it would take 1 hour and 30 minutes to 2 hours to install hitch and harness. I called 2 hours later at 12 asking for an update. Vehicle was still not touched and hasn't moved and she tells me she can't have 2 guys start working on it now. Wasted my entire morning if this is how this business operates I am not sure how they have such great ratings. Reason why I choose this place because of the excellent reviews. Maybe there fake reviews from family and friends Awful customer service will be taking my business elsewhere.

JD and Brenda went above and beyond with their customer service. They are both a wealth of knowledge on trailer maintenance, repair and sales. They are honest, local, hardworking, smart, prompt, efficient and caring. They provided a very detailed estimate of the work to be done, met all timelines, and guided me through the process of a sale. Highly recommended in every aspect of working with them. If you have a trailer that needs a repair, if you want to buy a trailer, if you want to install a hitch, or need routine maintenance on your trailer, I'd consider no other dealer. Shop local!! I have towed campers and other trailers and have dealt with quite a few rental and hitch installers. JD and Brenda are experts at all things concerning towing with the right hitch install. I highly recommend this business!

I m new to Camping and bought a small Airstream this past year to get back out in a safe way during the pandemic.I ve traveled over 13,000 miles since February and found JD Trailer when I was looking for someone that could repack my bearings as the wait at Airstream dealer was over three months!I was so impressed with JD and his staff- especially Brenda! They literally taught me more about my setup than anyone to date-I seriously haven t had such a positive customer service experience anywhere else and I feel so better equipped to head out on many more adventures with my little travel trailer!Thank you Brenda and John and if you re in the market for any trailer service don t give it another thought-These folks are awesome at what they do!

My camper trailer needed major repairs. The axles,brakes, suspension, and frame all had failures. The tires were wearing out and rubbing on the body. The trailer also has a large open flat deck to haul two UTV side by sides. The weight limit was probably being exceeded By 10%. I called around at four places looking for the right shop to do the job. JD was the place to go. I was immediately impressed with Brenda s knowledge of trailers and all the technical matters to do it right. After we discussed the project on the phone I knew I found the right place. I brought it in and we got started. Initially we worked out a plan to repair it and get it back to factory new. It would be expensive. It would get me back to new. But the camper is only 5 years old. So if I kept using it the same way I would probably have to come back and do it all over again 5 years in the future. JD explained all this and I agreed. He came up with a whole new upgrade plan that would replace everything with updated new equipment. It would cost more and be more involved but it would be done right and probably never have problems again. That is what I decided to do. JD got started. My vacation was off in the future by we both kept an eye in the progress and the calendar and they got it all done one week before my vacation. The trailer pulls great now and has all sorts of improvements. I think most people have simpler and more routine needs than what I needed this time. So given that I think JD is the best place around here to have your trailer serviced.

First time we've been here, and it has been a really great experience. Brenda is amazing at how she explains everything, and I found the repairs to our trailer to be quite reasonable. I also really appreciate the time they took to reset our hitch so everything was perfect. Super friendly, and excellent work! Will definitely come back her for our annual service.

We took our Chevy Express 3500 Work van to JD to have a hitch and trailer wiring installed. He quoted very far pricing and took the time to understand what we were hauling to recommend the best hitch and trailer brake setup for our needs. He ordered the parts and the install was done within 4 days of calling to set everything up. He even went the extra mile and installed the electrical connector in the bummer out of the way of someone hitting it. I was very impressed! I needed a hitch installed as soon as possible in order to move my son home from college in Boston. I had originally called the shop in St Charles that received high reviews and the person I spoke to was very rude and scoffed when I told him I needed it installed by the end of the week.I called JD's and they were so nice and went above and beyond to get the hitch installed for me within a matter of days and for a much lower price then the St Charles shop quoted me. I dropped my car off at 3:30 on a Friday and by 5:15 I was picking it up.If you need a hitch installed, use JD's. They are amazing people that really care about their customers.

Took our 2008 Pop up for inspection. Turns out the tires & brakes were original (yikes!) and had to be replaced, along with a few other minor fixes. I was initially kind of shocked at how much it cost to replace/repair what needed to be done, but after doing my own research and pulling it with the new tires, brakes, etc in the pouring rain, at night, around tight and hilly country roads, I am so thankful for a trustworthy and really high quality trailer shop so close to home. They did everything right to provide us with the highest level of safety. Plus, J.D. and Brenda are just really, really nice. Highly recommend.

We just had a new hitch put on our Escape. Our experience at JD Hitch was excellent. I had stopped by a few weeks ago and Brenda was extremely helpful in showing me options and providing pricing. Once we were ready to move forward I was able call and they ordered the hitch which came in 1 week early. We scheduled time to have it installed and work was completed with a very clean look in a timely manner. I would highly recommend JD Hitch for your towing needs.

Very warm & friendly reception greet you in this neighborhood gem. The ordered hitch arrived a day after ordering and professionally installed the next day. Never thought a hitch could be such a nice addition to the rear of our SUV.

I've been taking trailers to JD for years and have always had top-notch service and a reasonable price. Recently we had a used trailer that had been improperly rewired and had several questionable modifications made by a "backyard mechanic". JD evaluated the issues, quoted a reasonable price for the repairs, and had everything handled quickly and efficiently. He is always accommodating of our horse hauling schedules and aims to please. He is honest, knowledgeable, and reliable. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my equipment!

They are focused on trailers and towing, and I am glad for it. Their sage advice and patient explanations make me feel less like a first-timer even though I've never pulled a camper before. Prices are good, too, although it seems like equipment costs don't vary too much. Paying for labor here includes the transfer of knowledge, which has been worth a lot to me so far. Recommended if you need a hitch, a trailer, or advice.

Just stepped in JD's Auto and trailer. To get a trailer hitch put on my Ford explorer. The owner was friendly, interested what I had to say and was willing to work around my schedule to get a trailer hitch put on . That was just the first meeting I'm sure it'll be five stars by the time I'm done. Would suggest if you need a trailer or a trailer hitch put on your vehicle this definitely is the price that you will want to pay in comparison to everybody else JD's Auto and trailer on 64 Maple Park / Lily lake right off of 64 big blue building great price.

Great Job!I was looking for a place to install a class III hitch on my 2019 Honda CRV so I could attach a cargo basket. Searching on the web for "hitch installation", I found places that did under coating for cars and Gas stations... I wanted a place that installed hitches and worked on trailers for a living. I came across JD's. It had very good reviews and I know why. From the first phone call until the job was done, everyone was professional, considerate and the job was done in less time then was quoted!I will be back for any future work!Thank you!

I would recommend JD's Auto trailer to everyone. They service our trailer and are very knowledgeable. Just recently we had our trailer breakdown out of town and supposably took it to another reputable trailer place. They told us it may take a month or more to get parts and fix it. This is our work trailer and would not work for us. So we thought we would call JD and ask what we could do to get a part and he said have them call me. Then he called us and said I am going to go get your trailer (remember it was out of town) and bring it back to my shop and get it fixed for you ASAP. So he ordered a new axel and all the parts and got it done in 3 days. But wait THIS IS THE AMAZING PART! HE SAID THERE IS NO CHARGE. You just had it in here and we serviced it and we stand behind our work. Now this could have very possibly NOT been related to the service work but he said I will still stand behind it anyway. This is very rare to have this kind of service and integrity in business today. If you are looking for a honest knowledgeable trailer repair place with great service and integrity look no further than JD's Auto repair.

Great service at a reasonable price! I had a trailer hitch installed on my minivan. Not only did the ordered hitch arrive at their shop in half the time, but they installed it in 1/4 of the time...I was expecting it to take an hour, but they were done in 15 minutes! If you need a trailer hitch installed, JD's is the place to go!

JD has done a lot of work for us over the years including installing several gooseneck hitches, mounting tires, replacing breaks, servicing trailers, bearings,hubs and the list goes on. We have kept our business with JD because of the great customer service and fair pricing. JD lets us know what is needed before starting the job so we are always on the same page. No surprises and I would recommend JD for any of your trailer or auto needs.

Had a hitch installed and the installation was great. The place is clean, kind, and courteous. No issues, and very helpful in looking for places to buy a bike rack for the hitch. Recommend if you re looking to support a local, welcoming business.

JD is an honest man. Who does excellent work. I have taken my bass boat trailer to him now for 4 years. He has not only serviced my brakes, but I have also trusted him to install an entirely new set of brakes.

It is so refreshing to deal with a trustworthy and honest business...that completely stands behind their work! I had significant work done on the trailer portion of my 17" camping travel trailer. JD and Brenda took the time to show me the parts that were a major safety concern. I had them all replaced and wa-la, I am towing down the road with peace of mind. I give this small business the highest ranking.

I can't say enough about how nice the people there are. They helped me with pre-purchase questions as well as tips to when I start using the trailer. Wonderful people and they've got my service from here on. They're pricing is fair and yet very reasonable.

JD knows trailers better than anybody in town. He did a brake job on my 23 foot boat trailer. in the several times I spoke with him it was clear that he does so many of these that he knows all the ins and outs. He said he is on track to do more than 200 trailers this year and it shows. Highly recommend!

Purchased a hitch for our Pacifica here. Excellent and friendly service. Patiently answered all of our questions and provided an excellent installation. Install was completed exactly as scheduled and we are very pleased with out choice.
