Had an overall good experience dealing with this business. Was able to purchase a decent vehicle and be on the road the same day. Owner is understanding so please be fair. A good family run business. Give them a try.

Only had my car one day so might be to early but I would recommend anyone getting a car with Nadir was a pleasant experience with the sales and checked oil and made sure everything was good before I left and the ride home was good. With that all being said he also gave me a very reasonable price on what looks to be a really good car. We will see how everything goes and hope to come back again.

Apprerently, the owner is in Canada, so the guy who works there will have to call him for most things. Their website says they do financing, but they don't. Most of the cars had leaks or ran pretty loud. They say they look them over, but I don't think it's true. I would not buy a car from there. However, the guy we talked to was very nice and personable. He was not pushy about trying to gain a sale, so that's a plus.

The lot has a good selection of used vehicles to choose from. I bought a 2013 GMC Terrain for a very reasonable price, and have had it for a while now as my daily driver, and it has run great. I would very much recommend this dealership to others.

After weeks of searching marketplace it was so refreshing to walk into this small town business. From start to finish, the process was painless, and the owner went above and beyond to provide us with customer service, answer questions honestly and get us into a vehicle that we could afford. He was extremely knowledgeable on his vehicles, where they came from, and providing the carfax that gives extra security into todays world of buying used vehicles. I would highly recommend this business to anyone that is looking. Support Local !! Thanks you for all your help.

For being a first time car buyer and college student, my experience with other dealerships were night mares compared to my experience with Nadir. He was very understanding and willing to negotiate on price patient with me as I was very thorough and cautious with my first car purchase. I purchased a 2008 Toyota Yaris with roughly 110,000 miles roughly a 6 weeks ago and am extremely happy with my purchase and the customer service I received.

I saw a 2005 gmc for sale and I contacted them. He was very informative about the truck I had questions about. I went to his location and met the owner, he was very welcoming and answered all questions for us and even let me go for a test drive. We got all paperwork filled out for the gmc and I ll say that it was a very welcoming and great experience at UM Autos!!!

UM nope, had a bad experience. I called from out of state and asked for details about a car including the condition of the paint and was told it was good . Drove 3 hours to find that the vehicle was covered scratches and dents. Nate the car salesman wasn t forthright with me.

The first car, the transmission completely went out on the way home, which after this dude did replace it with another similar car after a whole charade of back and forth discussions but the alternator, water pump, blow out on a tire that could have ended badly, now today the radiator went ou on this one we didn t even choose in the first place.. It s one thing after another. Dude wasn t even there when we got the first car, he had his mechanic do the paperwork. The place is the plague, avoid it at all costs.

The owner and his wife give you honest inspected vehicles with the feel of family. That's why I chose UM autos over the "Fast wheel & deal " businesses. #SHOPSMALLL # LOCAL

Overall I was pleased with the service. Nadir was friendly, helpful and accommodating to my financial constraints even agreeing to a payment plan if needed, though I did not take him up on that offer. Unfortunately he gives very little leeway in regards to the price of a vehicle so don't go there hoping you're going to get the vehicle cheaper than it is advertised. If you do, it won't be much. That said, for the vehicle I purchased, it was a decent price. I only test drove one. I've not even had it a week yet, but so far everything seems just fine. No dash lights have suddenly come on, the car drives smooth, isn't making any odd sounds, etc. Go there open minded expecting used cars with imperfections and you'll drive away pleased. I know I did.

I purchased a minivan a few months ago, and Nadir Khan from UM Autos was very helpful in the purchasing process. He was never pushy, rude, or impatient, and he understood that I needed some time to think through all the options, since this was my first auto purchase. He recommended websites and even shared articles from Car and Driver magazine that helped me narrow down my search and make sense of the options that were available not just on his lot, but in other dealers' inventories, too. I highly recommend UM Autos.

I got my car from them a month or 2 ago. They said there was nothing wrong with it. The sales man was nice of course. But instead of understanding that I had to have the car run for a bit to check all the fluids and stuff they seemed a but impatient like they just wanted me to take it off the lot without really know what I was buying. I test drove it and it drove perfectly fine. But a few days later the engine light came on. About a month go by or more and now my transmission is completely out. Yes I checked the transmission fluid. It was perfectly fine. The fact I called the company and explained the situation the sales man tried arguing that it may be a few other things that s wrong with it. And told me to go see a mechanic for it. Well I live with a master mechanic and that wasn t a problem with him looking at it. He said it was definitely the transmission. And well I drove it home today from work and the transmission finally went out. I HIGHLY SUGGEST TO GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. They make so many excuses and say it s not their problem. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!

UM Autos has helped me on several occasions with finding the right car for me. Nadir knows cars inside and out. Give them a shout the next time you re looking for a new used vehicle.

UPDATE: i will not edit my review. This was an honest review. It should not have been advertised in the first place if they had no plans of selling it and once he was told we wanted it to restore another vehicle (which I went to the juck yard and got, UM's loss on that money). We wanted to take the engine and transmission from my vehicle and put into this vehicle, Instead I ended up piecing together several vehicles. I love that I got to restore a vehicle that meant a lot to me and my step father was in glee that he got to do what he likes to do. Next time listen to your customers and don't list something you have no INTENTION of selling. You wasted our time.Went to look at a vehicle they had posted, they wouldn't even let my friend m I look at it, and he said he wouldn't sell it to me because it had to many problems, we wanted the vehicle for restoration on another vehicle. Not there place to make that decision. He wanted us to look at other vehicles. Drove 45 miles each way. Vehicle still posted for sale. Feel like it was a switch n bait scheme.

Reviewing UM Autos in Macomb, IL is tricky. On one hand, there s a wide variety of used vehicles for sale; the lead salesman, Nadir, is willing to show you any and all of them; and it's difficult to find lower used-car prices within a 100-mile radius. On the other hand, you have to understand that these cars have issues -- some minor, some not-so-minor -- and UM Autos is not a slick, corporate dealership with 10 service bays and certified mechanics going over every single car on the lot with a fine-toothed comb. These are cars bought at auction, and cars traded into dealerships that have no interest in keeping them on their lots. Many have high mileage; others may have rust issues (sometimes evident, sometimes not); some have an accident history, a torn seat, a rattle in the motor, a non-working radio, or... you get the idea. Are all of those issues necessarily advertised online? Not really. But does Nadir try to hide these issues from you when you're on the lot? Not at all. Just have an open mind, an inquisitive approach and a healthy degree of skepticism -- and realize that any car could develop issues 3 months or 5,000 miles after you drive it off the lot. Check under the hood; does it look clean, or filthy? Check for fluids collecting under the car. Take it for a test drive, and be alert to odd noises, irregularities with the steering, suspension and brakes, unexplained odors, or lackluster acceleration. Take it to a local mechanic for an inspection before agreeing to a sale. Don't feel pressured to make a hasty decision. Do your homework. Review the Carfax report. Some cars simply don't have good longevity, and others do; and for the ones that don't, that's not the used car dealer's fault; he didn't manufacture the car, or drive it for the first 120,000 miles; he's only selling it, and no one s forcing you to buy it. If you're expecting to find a barely driven, mint-condition gem for $5,000, I'd say you're probably dreaming. I can tell you that UM Autos does not want to sell you a car with a failing transmission, a whipped motor, or an undercarriage that is so rusted out, the engine could drop to the pavement at any moment. At the same time, realize that engine and transmission problems usually don't happen overnight. If you test drive a car and you feel a gear slipping, or hear a serious engine knock, or see thick smoke pouring out of the exhaust, guess what: don't buy it. If you check under the hood and the engine and other components are filthy, or the crankcase is low on oil, or you smell burnt fluids, or if the car looks like it was driven rough -- a beat-up interior, lots of dings and dents, bald tires, or steering that's way out of alignment -- guess what: don't buy it. If you keep your wits about you, ask intelligent questions, take your time, are polite and respectful, don't expect 15-year-old cars to be in flawless condition, don't show up 15 minutes before closing time and expect the salesman to miss dinner while you agonize over a decision, and don't make a hasty buying decision, then you'll probably drive away in a vehicle that will be just what you needed. Caveat emptor applies here, but that's true for any car dealership -- or any business transaction, for that matter. Keep your eyes wide open, and don t fall in love with any one particular car; opt instead for the vehicle with the least number of flaws, and also realize that UM Autos is a for-profit business. Remember, you're not purchasing a brand-new vehicle that still has that new-car smell; you're buying something that someone else didn't want any longer, for whatever reason which is true for any used car, with any mileage, at any car dealer. Is UM Autos perfect in every way? No... but I've yet to find any car seller that is. Should you consider UM Autos for your next used car purchase? In a word: Yes. The prices are more than fair, the selection is adequate; and the lead salesman, Nadir, is professional, patient and efficient, as well as a family man with deep roots in his community who seems to genuinely care about people.

I drove 1.5 hours to UM Autos and left with the car I not only wanted but needed. Before I arrived, the owner had already test driven the 4 cars I planned to look into. I found his opinion on those cars honest and objective. The paperwork was completed very quickly. Highly recommended.

We were looking for a car for my husband to drive back and forth to work. They had a nice selection in the price range we were looking for. Ended up getting something a little more than we originally set out to spend but a quality car. Friendly service and efficient. Didn t take a lot of time to do the paperwork.

Nadir was a pleasure to work with when purchasing my 2003 Jetta. The entire experience was easy and fast. I'll be purchasing more vehicles from them in the future and will be sending my roommates/family to UM autos.

I've been to this place twice in the last 9 months to look at 2 different cars. Both times the cars were advertised as having features that they did not have. Also, both times we were quickly told of strange problems as we were getting in to test drive. Like, the drivers door won't open from the inside. The heat and air don't work. The windows don't roll down. Today an explorer was advertised to have 4 wheel drive and, surprise, it was 2 wheel drive, and the employees claimed to not know what we were talking about. I've tried these guys twice. Never again. I question their honesty and integrity.

GREAT experience! The dealer let me ask as many questions as I wanted which put me at ease. I can read people very well and I could tell he was very genuine about all of his responses. If you don't know much about cars, he will help educate you to empower you to make a good purchase. The owner of the place is a good person with lots of integrity. I cannot recommend this place enough!

I honestly do NOT understand how this dealer has ever gotten a good rating! Such a terrible experience! The owner was rude on the phone to begin with and was not truthful about the condition of the vehicle I was interested in! I drove 2 hours for a Nissan Pathfinder was told it had minimal rust and nothing was wrong with it.... Showed up with a check from the bank to purchase the vehicle and it was a complete rust bucket! Had a TON of hidden rust that he did not tell me about! Super upset about this! He also never even bothered to come outside and assist us so we just left! But the worst part is the bank now charged me a $100.00 processing fee for the loan so now I drove 4 hours and lost 100 dollars! I will never be seen on this mans lot again and I hope everyone takes my warning and stays far far away! I would literally give it negative stars if I could.. he was asking 5000 for a vehicle I wouldn t give 1500 for!! SO STAY AWAY!!!!!

Nice used car place. Owner tries to work with you. Did purchase a vehicle at a good price. Saw the carfax, and it inspected good. Some cars have a lot of miles on them, but that's to be expected with a small dealer. Do your homework.

Bought a 2007 Corolla with 115K miles in 2017 and still driving it 4+ years later. We had it inspected by Toyota garage before buying it, learned what would need work soon (brakes), and still found it to be a good deal. We enjoyed shopping from Nadir and have sent friends to UM.
