Highly recommend! Bradley was very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. I was able to get an appointment right away and service was speedy. I like the inspection report format as it was easy to understand and game plan my cars maintenance. Communication was 10/10! Estimate was spot on and reasonably priced! This will definitely be my new mechanic!

Best auto service we ve found in Rockford. It s expensive like any place around, but many things set them apart: Trustworthy Staff: They are honest, conduct themselves well and do a great job communicating the accurate state of the vehicle. Good management, they care about the work they do and the people they serve. Comprehensive Service: They ve gotten the jobs we ve needed done right and covered all the bases, making you aware of all the important components. In addition to the thorough checks they always update and share an Inspection Results profile where you can review all the mechanic notes, what was looked at. History, car info, etc. Definitely the best system and service we ve ever gotten. Transparent: They re honest with what s urgent and what s honestly not priority. They check in with you before doing a bunch of work and tacking on costs they didn t warn you of.

They were extremely knowledgeable about cars and parts, very thorough in their process, and explained every detail about what was wrong, what needs immediate attention, and what can wait on repairs. Truly great service.

I had a problem with my Toyota with a part that was rubbing against my front tire. They were able to get me in within 30 minutes & fixed the problem !!!! I was highly satisfied with their quality and speed of their service. I highly recommend them.

I thought Hometown Motors went beyond expectations. The fact that they squeezed us in before a holiday was awesome. We would have not been able to celebrate Christmas without their help.

Great and honest service. Fair prices. Seem like a great bunch of guys.EDIT: I am returning to edit my original post to add more detail. I just reclaimed my vehicle from their shop after having some front-end work completed. After inspecting what was completed, I will say I am impressed by these guys. A lot of extra work went into making my vehicle for which I was not charged. I'm not saying they will do this for everyone as it's not a sustaining business model, but they did right by me on this occasion. These are honest mechanics that will be straight with you. We all know how rare that is in today's world. I recommend Hometown Motors in Loves Park. Keep up the great work guys!

Great service! I work 16 hours a day so with that being said I m always running around! Gator was able to get me the following days that I called & was able to get me my vehicle back in time to make it to work! I will say that a slight error was made but when I called he took care of the issue and went WAY above to make up for the error. I ve had mechanics lie, steal from me & take all day long with simple repairs so I am very leery with who I bring my vehicles too. I know I am in good hands with these guys! Every time I walk in I m greeted by name an pricing is very fair! I m trying to get my vehicle up to par so I can be prepared for upcoming road trips. Me & Hometown Motors will continue to see each other! I feel at home when I walk in so I don t see myself going anywhere else. Came up for a visit from Texas and needed some things done on my car. Was a bit weary to try since I don't have a shop here but Hometown was highly recommended. I had the opportunity to work and talk to Collin there. He made my experience really nice and kept me comfortable. Especially kind with explaining car lingo to me when I don't know anything about cars. Making sure my husband vehicle gets properly done for the safety of not only him but our little ones in our family. He is my ginger friend for life just make sure you ask for him. You won't regret it. Bonus points if you ask for him by the name gingerbread man or ginger angel or the ginger lord.

I can't say enough great things about Colin, Gator and the Team at hometown auto! I brought my car (Mercedes GLK) to multiple mechanics including Napelton for an oil leak. It wasn't until I went to Hometown that they diagnosed the issue and explained exactly what was wrong and how to fix it. After dealing with this issue for over 2 years it is finally fixed thanks to the team at Hometown. While addressing the issue with the oil leak they identified another concern with leaking coolet. Again they took care of this issue. They had to keep my car an extra day and adjusted the cost of the service due to the unexpected need for me to keep my rental an additional day. I would absolutely recommend this place for great service and friendly staff

Been going to Campbell s for 3 years now and not one complaint! They are very nice and if they find an issue on my car they let me know first hand what the issue is and how much it will cost. They are also very understanding and have very flexible time. Also one time my breaker fluid was low Mike filled it up for me cleaned up my car free of charge! Great service great people!

These guys are amazing they are great at what they do and do it in a timely manner at a reasonable price. I have had nothing but great service from them and will continue to go there & recommend people there. (To the person with the negative review, if you know so much about what needed to be done why didn't you fix it yourself?) I know very little about cars, that is why it is good to have a trustworthy mechanic and that is what Campbell's is.

It's nice to have a repair shop that you can trust. They tell you what needs to be repaired and you can feel confident that it what needs to be fixed. No more, no less. Once they thought I need a power steering pump but when doing repair discovered that I had another problem. Didn't install pump because wasn't needed. Honestly lots of places would installed it anyhow being I authorized it. Honesty is appreciated. Way to Mike and team. Well done.

Mike has always been great to our family! We have been a loyal customers for over 13 years. Campbell's automotive doesn't try to up sell you on repairs you don't need access they won't let you drive an unsafe car. Prices are very competitive and they take great care for their return customers.

As a mechanic (an ASE certified mechanic) I was severely disappointed with the service provided. To an untrained eye they would have done the job. However, upon inspecting my vehicle the job they did was done correctly, but the inspection they claimed they did on two separate occasions was far from subpar. I was actually able to diagnose most of the problems just by glancing under the car for leaks and other things they said they could not find. Here I am one month later still trying to move to Virginia after fixing all the things they missed.I went to the owner yesterday to ask if he feels the repairs were up to par. He said he felt as if they were. A missing tensioner pulley, cracked serpentine belt, severely corroded brake/trans/fuel lines, leaking power steering pump, and they didn't say anything about them. That sounds safe to you? If that were my boss he would have my hide.He then proceeds to hustle me say thing that the pans on the engine and trans are rusted too. OK, first aluminum doesn't rust. Second, replace the pan if it's so rusted. Its not that hard. All of these tiny jobs I present to him are "opening a can of worms" because it's rust and he will need to replace the lines. This is simply not true as lines no longer need to be metal due to the advancements in neoprene hose technology. He also told me he'd prefer not to see my car again. That is probably the most unprofessional thing I've heard in my career.In the end this is a case of a lazy mechanic and a lazy boss who sees a rusted car and condemns it without looking at it. Furthermore, not being able to admit your mistakes makes me not trust anyone to do buisness with.We are moving to Virginia and I specifically asked them to check it for safety. THEY COULD HAVE KILLED ME and my family in the car. They will see no respect or returned buisness from me. It is a shame too, because I hear such good things from others. I worry he is a great hustler, but a lazy mechanic.

I've been using Campbell's Auto for the past 5 years and I've had nothing but good service and prices from them. They do good work in a timely manner and will always let you know if they find something suspicious with your vehicle that needs attention.

Campbell's is a family operation that I have trusted with my cars (Lexus) for some 15 years. They are competent, reliable, cooperative and I have been fully satisfied with their service. Highly recommend.

Car broke down last month and they replaced the fuel pump assembly at a decent rate. Then a few weeks later started hearing an irritating squeaking noise and took it in for an assessment. Merlin had told me I needed shocks and struts and my ball joint was loose when i went there for an oil change so i went in for an estimate expecting to have to spend a lot of money to repair it. Merlins assessment was far from accurate. Campbells replaced the caliper pins on my brakes and problem solved. Everything else was in working order according to their experiences technician. Out the door for $70.65 not the 500$+ that the clowns at Merlin suggested. Will definitely get all my maintenance and repair needs done there. Thank you to their kind staff and grateful to find a shop with compassionate views on auto repairs.

Amazing people who give it to you straight and won't charge you through the nose to get repair work. I have gone to them several times with my vehicles and they have never let me down. You can really tell they see the customers as people and not just dollar signs.

We have taken our car here twice for an alignment that's still not done correctly.We have now learned that the reason the alignment isnt done correctly is because this company failed to fix the controller arm bushings. We took the car to ford and it will cost over 800$ to fix it correctly then do analignment..Such a rip off.
