This place is awesome! If your looking for an affordable used car this is the place. Dave is extremely honest and upfront. We went in knowing what we wanted, set the car aside for us to look and bought the car all in about an hour! Fast and super easy. Definitely recommending this place to my family and friends. And I ll definitely be back!

If you re looking for a reliable hand-picked car under $10,000, this is the place to go. Dave goes out of his way to make sure you re happy with your purchase. He also offers a 90 day warranty on the drivetrain.

Dave is honest as the day is long. Can't go wrong getting a car here. He well above and beyond what I expected and what most if not literally any other dealer would do to make sure you have a good car buying experience.

I got turned onto Carsmart 5 yrs ago. I (and family) have bought 9 cars from Dave and all have been great deals. When I hit #5, I told Dave that the 10th one was free. Dave said OK with a wry grin and a chuckle... Well, I hit #9 two weeks ago and Dave, true to his word, presented me with the #10 freebie. Picture attached. LOL... Seriously, you can't go wrong with Carsmart. Thanks again Dave...

I wanted to give it a month or two to see how the car did and so far I ve had 0 issues with it. Really nice and well taken care of car and Dave was really nice and helpful with getting the car and was honest about any issues it had (none that affected the car itself just appearance wise) definitely would recommend buying a car from him especially if it s your first like it was mine.

Sold me a car with a dead battery and horribly run down brakes. My car literally shut off in the middle of traffic. Luckily I was at a stoplight. Will never return to this place again. Definitely do not recommend, they re lucky they get one star one star and that s only because you can t give out zero stars.Edit- this was in fact carsmart in loves park on alpine. It was a black 2014 Hyundai Elantra. Bought this car two years ago and still haven t been able to drive it- due to fear of it shutting off again in traffic, my mechanic said its a piston ticking in the engine and that it would cost about 10k to replace and this ticking was there the day i bought it and i was told it was because it was sitting out in the cold and that it would go away, but it never did.

I recently purchased a car from this place and I'll say it was the best car-buying experience I've ever had. The person that runs the place is a real stand-up guy. He gave me all the facts about the vehicle I needed to know and gave me a great price for a great car. I left there feeling like it was money well spent. I would definitely recommend everyone I know who's looking to avoid monthly payments to go to this place. Thanks Dave. love the car.

Recently bought our 3rd car from Dave. Our daughter needed a car to be able to finish her final term at college when they eliminated remote learning. The car developed some unexpected mechanical problems about 3 weeks after we bought it, leaving it undriveable. Called Dave and he had the car towed back to his mechanic and all needed repairs were done to make the car safe. He also paid most of the costs himself. Cost to us was less than the average insurance deductible. Thank you for going above and beyond to make things right.

Just bought a 2002 Jeep Cherokee Laredo from there. Dave is a breath of fresh air when it comes to the car sales industry. Up front and honest which is rare now a days. I'll be sending those I know his way and will look there first when in the market for a new vehicle. His vernacular is impressive too...lol.

If you need a cheap used car, go here. Don t bother going anywhere else, save your time AND your money and just buy from Dave. It s a smaller place, not a ton of cars. But if you re not picky and you re just looking for a backup vehicle, or work transportation or a first car, then this is the place.I highly recommend buying from this small business for a few reasons:Dave and Debbie. It seems like Dave gets the cars and sells the cars, and Debbie does everything else- what a team.Honesty. At no point did I feel like I was being lied to or mislead in any way. Dave knows what he s got, and he knows how to price. And he s straight up.Warranty. It either comes with one, or for a few bucks you can add one. It s not the best, but it s peace of mind.I will be buying all my work vehicles from Carsmart from now on.

The salesman we worked with was nice and knowledgeable. He was forthright about known or expected issues with the cars we looked at. When we were shopping, many of the cars had been moved offsite for some work in their parking lot, but the salesman offered to have one in particular we were looking for brought back.The cars are priced reasonably. We were happy to find a place that had used but still reliable cars for under $10k. We will certainly consider shopping here again in the future when we need to replace a car.

Smaller sized car lot that seems to cater to those looking for cars in the $3500-$4500 range. They only had 8 cars on display at the time we stopped.. However the cars they had were all very clean and well maintained. The owner Dave was very friendly and quick to answer any questions we had. We were happily surprised to not feel pressured into making a purchase and felt comfortable poking around the vehicles and test driving the couple we were interested in. After almost 6 months of searching for a nice car with low miles....we were delighted to find a car that fit our wants and needs. Would highly recommend coming here to anyone looking for a car within a similar price range.

I bought an 04 Chevy Cavalier almost a year ago. About a month ago an essential part of the frame was rusted and could not support the engine anymore. Dave Hoffman offered to pay for the repair of this part and a few others so that I was safe to drive on the road. This comes completely out of pocket for him. Since I bought the car as is, this was an insanely charitable thing for him to do. Dave you were super nice and if it wasn t for your generosity I would be stranded. Thanks again this is a very nice local dealer!!!

I purchased a 2006 Honda Accord from Carsmart Sales. Mr Hoffmann was the salesman. This vehicle was in my price range but was on the medium to high mileage end. I was assured that all vehicles are inspected by a mechanic and any issues are addressed before they are added to the car lot. After test driving and inspecting the vehicle I felt it was mechanically sound and went ahead with the purchase. My experience has been positive with this company. I was given fair and honest answers by my salesman and don't feel that I was fed any b.s. just so they could sell a car. The Honda so far has been a good reliable vehicle. I recommend this company!

Dave at Carsmart was awesome. Very easy to work with and accommodating. He was very up front about the work he was putting into the SUV I was interested in before putting it up for sale, and even held off posting it for a couple days until I was able to look at it! If you are looking for a used vehicle, Dave at Carsmart should be your FIRST stop!

If you have ever experienced a salesperson who boldfaced lied to your face, then Dave is a breath of fresh air. Dave went over and above to give me a extremely nice car for the money. Is either of the 2 cars we have bought from Dave perfect? No of course not. Only a fool would expect a 17 year old car for what I paid for it to be perfect.

We as a family bought our 3rd car from this dealership and honestly, its the best. They pick good older cars that serve their purpose and won't nickel and dime you, basic maintenance sure but the cars work beautifully. 15 out of 10 would recommend

Recently bought an '03 Hyundai Santa Fe from Dave. The cars on his lot are generally in good shape and are described accurately. No deception whatsoever. Dave is upfront no bull kind of guy...refreshing considering the reputation of the "used car salesman". Bottom line is you may or may not find a car that fits your needs but you can trust that your getting an good deal.

Been looking for a replacement vehicle since early February did my research and shopping all over to find the right one. CarsMartSales is always up cause I kept on the loop of the inventory there it changes quite fast. Kept my eye on one specific vehicle that was there for a bit the moment that I got funds secured from insurance company made my drive there immediately after to go look at this vehicle. I already did my research as well they offer free CarFax reports on what they sell. Was greeted by Dave as I walked towards the office it was a busy day for him but I was immediately setup to go take it for a test drive. Jack was waiting inside the door to greet me it was awesome.Test drive went good conversations were had all worked out well couldn t be any happier with the purchase I was able to make.If you are looking for a new to you vehicle and don t like dealing with dealerships or big car lot check them out cause there is a chance that they may have you re next vehicle waiting for you.

My wife Gretchen and I went to Carsmart Sales on a Saturday as they were closing. They were very accommodating took their time and stayed open an additional hour to benefit our needs. Great staff! great car! we love our Honda!

I came over 50 miles to buy my 99 Infiniti from Dave at Carsmart Sales, Inc., and here's why: I had been looking online at everything in my limited price range and was becoming more and more frustrated. People were listing junk for thousands of dollars, and as a senior, I am on a limited budget. I needed something I could afford, and not something I would have to pour thousands into. I found the Infiniti, called Dave, and the next day I was able to get a ride to Loves Park and take delivery. Not only was the car perfect, but Dave was awesome! Do NOT hesitate to see Dave and purchase one of his cars. He - and Carsmart Sales - are the real deal you seldom find these days.

We bought a car from Dave and a few days later experienced a few mechanical problems. I called Dave and he offered to help solve the issues. He helped set us up with mechanic and resolved all issues at no cost to us. Outstanding customer support!!

In my 30 years as a car owner I've never bought a used car, but after this experience I would do it again and again. Great deal, great car, EXACTLY what I wanted! Was treated very well, salesman and dealer very good to deal with. I would highly recommend this dealer, and will buy here again!!!

I have bought my last three cars from here. The 1st car was for me the 2nd and 3rd vehicles were for my kids to take to college. None of the cars have had ANY major repairs just normal useage. The vehicles were exactly what the owner said they were. I would have no reservations about purchasing another vehicle from CarSmart.

Great car at an affordable price, some problems that you would expect for an '04 thatd been sitting a while, Dave helped pay for some of these repairs and responded very quickly to my concerns. Much appreciated !
