Wish I could give ZERO stars, because that's the service we got, ZERO. We got locked out of our car, due to power lock failure. Called Areas Best, was told it would be 45min to an hour. We waited almost 2 hrs, we tried to call, and all of our phone call attempts went straight to voice-mail. We ended having to call another company and had to pay double the cost due to the time of night. When we called the next day to follow-up up on this, we talked to a guy, who would not give us his name, only said "I am the one running the tow for now". I asked if he was the owner, he said no, that it was "Chris. I asked to speak to Chris, we were told he was "unavailable". Was told he would "tell him to call us back". I asked when should I expect a call back, was told "how do you want me to resolve this". I just said if you aren't the owner, why would you resolve this, and that I expected a call back from the owner. This was met with an "okaaayyy, and I was hung up on. Areas worst towing!

Got a tow from them through state farm.I believe it was Tyler that helped me with my HHR, I think that was his name.he was very helpful.We had a difficult time at first due to the wheels not steering but we got through it and on the flatbed.

Had our insurance call this company for a tow. Tow driver called and asked what the issue was. It wouldn t start and said because it s a newer push button start he wouldn t be able to put the vehicle in neutral. I informed him that you in fact can and that I already have done that and pushed it out of the garage. He yelled at my wife and said he doesn t want to be shown how to do his job. Then never showed up for the tow. Tried calling the business to get answers and they wouldn t pick up. Finally 20 mins later I get a call back from the owner that when I tell him what happened his response was oh ok. After our conversation he ended up swearing at me and hanging up. All I can say is WOW! Anyone and everyone do not use this company. I am in awe. I ve never got ahold of the BBB but I will be doing my research on how to do that.

The best towing & mechanic experience I've ever had. These guys towed me three days in a row as we tried, unsuccessfully, to fix the problem ourselves (after being quoted over $700 from another mechanic). Every pick up was done within the hour, even though they were all vastly different pick up times. After the third time, they offered to have it towed to their shop and take a look for me. Within a half hour of it being picked up, they had found and fixed the problem (a corroded wire, of course). Upon pick up, Gavin explained everything they had done and all other important information they had found- and then told me they weren't charging me for the fix. I could've cried. Their truck had a problem and leaked hydraulic fluid all over our driveway. Nothing will stick to a blacktop driveway that's been soaked in hydraulic fluid. We cannot have it seal coated. Once they see the stain, no company will work on it until it's been completely redone with new blacktop. They've refused to help in anyway even after multiple attempts to work with them. We've had to turn in a claim to OUR insurance to get the driveway fixed. Angered doesn't begin to describe this frustrating situation.

I had an issue with my truck starting. The truck arrived in a timely fashion to pick up my truck and tow it to the dealership. The gentleman that came took a look at my truck with me. We discovered what the issue was. He let me know there was no charge and told me to have a great day! My overall experience was great! Friendly, professional and timely. Worse mechanic experience I have ever encountered!! If you are a women do not contact them alone they will try to take advantage of you! They came to tow my vehicle to my own mechanic and said they could offer me a lower price, quoted me less then $500 for labor after telling me my car wasn t even as bad as I thought. Then turned around and said oh it ll be about $1500 there s no way in hell my parts were $1000! They tried to tell me they couldn t find any used parts but then I go on LKQ pick your part myself and find the parts they claim they couldn t. He then says they will go there and pick up the parts and put them on my truck asap. Two days go by and I call them back they still have NOT went to go get the parts from LKQ. Mind you I am paying on a rental while they have my vehicle and are just taking their sweet time as if people don t need a means for transportation. They were sent to me by my insurance company roadside assistance, after calling my insurance and making a formal complaint with the supervisor in regards to this issue come to find out they are only hired by the company to do specifically towing only not mechanic work! I cannot explain to you how much time energy and money this is costed me! If you have any brain at all you ll take my word for it and do not do business with this company. I am currently waiting on a callback from my insurance who stated they will have a supervisor contact me within 24 hours so that we can complete the formal complaint against them because they are not supposed to be doing mechanical work only towing. Good luck to anybody who uses this company!

Terrible communication and time management. My original wait time was an hour and 20 minutes. 2 hours later I have to call to get an update and someone said they were on their way (they were 10 minutes away from where I was). 20 minutes later I get a call from someone else saying that something broke on the tow truck and that I shouldn't have been told that someone was on their way. Finally another hour later my car gets towed. My insurance is usually great with roadside assistance, but this was just ridiculous.

Cannot give this company a great review. Arranged for a tow through insurance. They were supposed to be here in 20 minutes, two hours later and multiple phone calls later he shows up to tow our vehicle but already has a vehicle on his truck. He gets out of his truck with a pipe and starts banging on the gas tank with no explanation. We asked him what he was doing and told us he was loosening the fuel filter and it may start. REALLY? Didn t work. We just needed a tow a mile away to the dealership. The tow company never communicated with us and the tow driver also had poor communication skills. Poor experience with this company in an already stressful situation 10 1/2 hours from home for a family funeral. Then his breaks down

Driver unloaded my car from his flatbed and hit my house. The driver decided to back the car into the garage with the door open.......REALLY??Then tried to blame it on us for helping????!!!!Damaged both the car and the garage. They fixed the car, but REFUSED to fix my house. What kind of towing company doesn't have insurance to cover these unfortunate incidents with their drivers??? Avoided my calls and texts for several weeks!!Please review the low ratings that other customers have given them and use them at your own risk!! If I could give less than 1 star I would've, but not an option.BY FAR THE WORST TOWING COMING IN THE AREA!!! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND EVEN WASTING YOUR TIME DIALING THE NUMBER. NOT SURE HOW THEY EVEN STAY IN BUSINESS WITH THIS TYPE OF CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

Always professional, speedy service. �Chris' team does a wonderful job - everyone on his team is polite and courteous. �We've used Areas Best several times when a car has died and needed to be towed, for flat tires, and for the occasional jump start. �Chris is easy to work with, and takes extra care in all that he does to ensure safety, care of our cars (never a scratch or a ding), and makes sure that we are fully aware of everything that he is doing

Called for a tow after our van broke down jason came in 20 minutes as promised and actually diagnosed our vans issue they worked to fix two main issues and even our muffler for a great price and they were courteous and helpful until we picked up vehicle definitely would recommend them to my friends and family. When arriving at church I discovered I had a flat tire. I called Roadside Assistance and they sent Chris from Area's Best. He was prompt, called before arrival, and encouraged me to stay in my warm car....there was a blizzard...while he changed my tire. He was courteous and I would ask for him specifically if I ever needed Area's Best again.

The tower they sent refused to tow my car because its in a 'tricky' spot. We offered to help push it towards the end of my paved driveway if they were unable to use the cable to pull it out but still said cant. Since the two 'strong' towing man couldn't help my husband, I got to which was stupid easy and now waiting, again, on a new tow person. Areas best service; more like Areas worse service .Services: Battery service, Car towing

We waited two hours for the tow truck to show up with an ETA for 90 min. Road side assistance called them because they were past the ETA and driver claimed he had tried calling me twice (the driver never called me until after RSA called him to find out where he was). Driver shows up with a child with him when they were told there would be two passengers. I told driver when he pulled up that there was two of us and he said he didn't have any information about any passengers and said he didn't have room for us. I called RSA back and driver called the owner and came back to tell us another truck could come in 30 min. We waited another 45 min and then the OWNER shows up and asked how we were doing, I said I was not happy and explained to him why. The OWNER then proceeded to say that I denied the first truck and told me there were 4 seat belts up front in the truck. I asked why his driver didn't tell us and he said "IDK I can talk to him about it". What a freaking joke. To be fair I will say he did knock 7 miles off our bill for inconvenience, but after 2 hours and 45 minutes and a bunch of lies, really?

Area best towing what a joke. Had my insurance call in a tow for me today at 7:30am ETA was going to be 45-60 min. Its now 10am. They called me twice and,the first time they said 20min then second time called they said 10min. The company is lucky my insurance is paying for the tow. Because if it was up to me. I wouldn't pay a penny for there service. They might as while change there name to Area Worest Towing. At least the driver seem nice. But that's it.

God bless Chris and his team for helping me. I had a fallout with a friend when I was out of state, and they worked with me to get my car back home. My car was parked in my former friends driveway when we left the state together then we had that fallout. I had to figure out how to get my car back home while being about 6.5 hours from home. Chris took pictures of towing my car for my piece of mind. Not to mention I found the price to be very reasonable. Thank you, guys!

Horrible drivers. Don't care about public safety or their own vehicles. Driving home in a snow storm at 8:45 PM, on 3/5/18, the driver of this company passed me, then proceeded to miss the front end of my car by less than 10 feet, splashing ice and water on my windshield blinding me from the road. If I was alone, I would have just let it go. But since I had my 5 yr old, 7 yr old, and 23 yr old in the car, this was very dangerous and unacceptable. The driver should be fired!! It was like he was trying to cause an accident on purpose. No one drives 75+ on I-39 in icy conditions. Even with a 4x4 tow truck.Anyone that treats strangers like that, I'm not trusting them with my towing needs. You shouldn't either. And from the looks of it, I'm not the only unhappy person with this company and it's employees.

This was a complete joke trying to deal with this guy. Lied to insurance, lied to us, probably tried to tow the wrong car at the wrong address. Rude would be a compliment. If you can't follow simple things like an address or recognize that the customer schedules a time for a reason you are in desperate need of learning some basic customer service practices. Clearly it's always the same complaints about you for a reason. Might be worth acknowledging that for yourself.Service: Car towing

Got stuck pulling out of someone's drive way. Very tragic, very inconvenient, it was raining ice. Roadside assistance called this company for me. Extremely prompt and friendly. Chris towed me out sooner than expected and it took no time at all once he arrived. Never want to need a tow again but if I do, I'll call Chris. 10/10 would get stuck again

I had my car towed this morning by Jason who took very good care of my car. I appreciate the polite staff who kept me updated on the entire process. I highly recommend areas best to anyone looking for fast and professional service.

Hooked up our car and then instead of following us to repair shop he disappeared...WITH OUR CAR HOOKED UP...into a neighboring town to "dispatch his other trucks". When we called to see where he was he told us if we didn't leave him alone he would drop the car off back at our house. The whole time he was also telling us "I am the owner and I don't answer to you"

Very prompt and quick service. I needed a jump after leaving a light on in my car overnight. I called Roadside Assistance, they dispatched Area's Best. They arrived quickly, did the job and had me on my way to work very quickly.

I AM VERY PLEASED WITH THE HELP I RECEIVED FROM "AREAS BEST TOWING"!!!! I had 4 out of 5 lug nut studs break completely off of my rear wheel on my 1998 Ford F150 XL FULL SIZE BED pickup. The tow truck driver "MATT" was very knowledgeable, MATT called me to let me know when he would be arriving AND HE WAS ON TIME, and took great care when loading my vehicle on to his flatbed. I thought for sure I would have had to fix it on the roadside but the precautions MATT took loading my truck and the cautious driving he executed got my truck home with the wheel still on and no further damage to my vehicle!! I have had multiple tows in the past and I WOULD RECOMMEND " AREAS BEST TOWING" BEFORE ANY OTHER IN MY AREA!! THANKS AGAIN MATT, YOU WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND ON THIS TOW!!!

Driving from Massachusetts to Minnesota our car broke down in Rockford at night . Our insurance company dispatched Chris. He identified the issue and more importantly set us up with a repair shop scheduled for early the next morning. He went above and beyond and it was greatly appreciated, especially being hundreds of miles away from home.
