Great service! The owner Nick is fair & honest! Serviced my dads car and walked me thru everything he did to make sure we were comfortable! I thought he needed a muffler but after thoroughly inspecting, Nick said the one on there was just fine! What a great family owned business that operates honestly and ethically! Thank you!!

Back in July 2022 (I forgot to leave a review then lol) I was in town for business. I drove my car from Omaha to Lombard. She made it all the way to the hotel and when I went to leave out again, the muffler snapped. I panicked because this was my first road trip alone and I needed my car to go to my convention. I called several places in Chicago and they all told me they were booked 1-3 weeks out! I had to be back in Omaha in 4 days!! I finally called this place and they were the only ones who could fix my car same day! They were the BEST mechanics I ve ever used. They put me at ease and clearly explained all of my options. VERY easy to talk to and great personalities! They turned a disaster into something that has become a great memory. I ll never forget the service they provided and they took the exact time they said they would to put a new muffler on! She was good as new and I was able to enjoy the rest of the trip and make it back home!! 7 months later and still no problems! My Subaru needed new rear wheel bearings. I stopped in for a quote and they quoted me a price that seemed fair.We agreed on a date and I dropped it off the night before. They have a secure key drop. One of the things that separate them is their communication with the customer.Their mechanics are very talented. Picked up my car this morning, they explained what they did and even showed me the old part. I really liked this place and won t hesitate to return.

Great service! Fixed every problem my car has had over the past seven years, on the first try.Over the phone, they describe the problem they found, the solution for it, as well as an estimate (if I remember correctly). On pickup, they go over the services they had performed on the car, and a further explanation to what caused the problem to happen, and how they fixed it.I never regret coming here to get my car fixed.

These guys are just awesome fixed everything in my wife s vehicle. The thing runs like a champ prices were fairly reasonable in the world today you get what you pay for.

Nick's great he always helped me with my Kia and Saturn and is so friendly along with his hardworking father. Honest on prices and quick to get me in on a apotment. I'd recommend considering this shop he may beat your price or match it will good quilty.

I highly recommend renting a Uhaul from here. By far the best Uhaul experience I ve had! I just had to rent 3 over the course of the last month and the owner was fantastic. Friendly and fast service. Very down to earth and the first place that actually hooked the trailer up for me. Also, the trailer was clean and you can tell actually maintained/serviced between rentals. The previous 2 I rented had a hole in the roof and we re filthy. Best place to rent a Uhaul! Probably a fantastic auto shop as well but I can t comment on that haha.

Eric was great! He helped me understand what was being done to my car and didn't price gouge me. Hopefully I don't need to bring it in again for a long time, but when I do I'll be coming back here!

Sooo...For last 13yrs my entertainment company uses Uhaul vehicles to move our Film/Camera/Concert event equipment. Our regular location was completely out of the truck we needed so I asked if there were any reliable locations in/near Lombard.My assistant said she found a place that fixed cars but were an authorized Uhaul dealer. We're filming literally 8-10min from this location so why not.I honestly hate that I can't remember his name, but he's tall with some amazing tattoos...Lol. (from the story he told me...his son is 21?...)I'm always weary abt using trucks from new locations due to the fact most places (employees) feel since they don't OWN Uhaul why go out of their way.The moment I walked through the door (this guy) greeted me as if we went to high-school together. Lol.Attitude top notch and you can tell he was probably busy working on a car before he greeted me at the counter.From check in to check out. Even pulled the vehicle out so all I had to do was jump in. Though I'm completely aware of all the uhaul polices...he explained in detailed. I'm an energy person and he was definitely in good spirits even if he was exhausted.Upon returning the vehicle I was skeptical about the gas gage and was kinda sure it was OK?...again (this guy) asked if I'd like for him to double check to put me at ease. Goes out/comes back. Thumbs up! Top notch service from start to finish.We have our "regular' Uhaul pickup locations but I've definitely added this location to our production list. My husband and I had the recent misfortune of getting a flat tire while visiting Lombard. We randomly pulled into Nuts & Volts and Nick the owner was incredibly helpful and tried his best to repair the tire. Unfortunately it had a large piece of metal stuck in it and the tire couldn't be salvaged and they didnt happen to have my size tire in stock...Nick did his best to patch it the best he could so we could safely go elsewhere for another tire. I appreciated how honest and straight forward Nick was and if we lived nearby, we would make this our regular spot. Thanks again for the help.Service: Tires

Came here to pick up my uhaul rental and it was 8:30am and they were still closed. They were suppose to be open at 8am and there were multiple people waiting outside. Let s just say it made my moving process an inconvenience and I had to find another spot to pick up my uhaul -_-

We take all of our cars to nuts and volts. They do a great job with communicating and properly diagnosing any issues that the vehicle may have. Best Auto Repair shop in the area! Eric and Nick are great. I ve been to this shop many times, everything from getting my car ready for emissions to fixing a leak in my tire. Always upfront honest and gets the job done. It s a lot of mechanics in the area that are not honest and out for money. Nuts and Volts are not one of them. Oh and they always play cool music like Nas and Tribe in the shop lol 5 Star

Most recently I had a TireRack order shipped here to be installed. Setting up the appointment was very simple. The install price is very reasonable. Everyone there is very friendly and knowledgeable. This is my second time having TireRack tires installed here. I've also had some tires repaired here as well. I highly recommend

Had a reservation to pick up a U-Haul on Sept. 5th. Nobody was on hand to handle pick ups, and the trucks were so poorly arranged that it took a 200 point turn to get out. Nick claims he contacted U-Haul to arrange pickups at other locations, which nobody at U-Haul mentioned when I contacted them for help with the pickup.Nick claims I damaged a lock/door when backing out, which may well be true, if so, I did not notice, and if so, was 100% accidental caused by the conditions on scene.Just to clarify: I used to work as a long haul trucker. I had a CDL with endorsements for doubles, triples, and hazmat. If I couldn't get a 26' box truck out of there without substantial difficulty, the average motorist sure wouldn't have.Edit to add: Nick called the cops on me, claiming that I hit and run. Not that I blame him in that respect, I would have done the same, but as I mentioned above, I wasn't aware I hit anything. I talked to the police officer, as well as U-Haul's insurance people, and answered what seemed like ten thousand questions. In the end, nothing came of it. Nick's reply makes it sound like I was help responsible for his piss poor planning, but that's not the truth.

The younger staff here is really friendly and willing to accommodate needs. For instance, the old man told me they closed at 5pm on Friday and couldn't do my oil change even though I had made an appointment a few days earlier. (I called to tell them I was running a few minutes late). When I got there the middle aged gentleman, who I believe is the owner, was super friendly and said "no big deal." He obviously appreciated my business. They are up front and honest about how much life is left on my brake pads, and all the usual stuff about your car that needs to be taken care of. No pressure at all, just matter of fact. I also rented a Uhaul here previously. Super easy, made my reservation with them over the phone - not online - and they sent me a reservation number by email. There are also always cool muscle cars somewhere around the shop.

Nick went ABOVE above and beyond for my mom. While she was renting a U-haul from the body shop he owns, she asked him if he would be interested in getting her used, now converted, ambulance road ready ASAP.... and he accepted the challenge. Nicknamed her The Beast. He was so kind, timely, so efficient, and even explained future things for her to consider.He was so great to my mom, we really appreciate his enthusiasm during crazy times like these.Everyone come here and support awesome local business! I recently brought my car to Nuts & Volts to have it checked over. They were very thorough and even looked up the factory scheduled maintenance. They didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need and were very polite and courteous. There prices are more than fair and overall they did a fantastic job. Needless to say I will be going here from no on. Wish i would have found them sooner.

Everyone that I met at Nuts & Volts was friendly, knowledgeable, and very personable. They went out of their way to help me, and I appreciate how they are committed to going above and beyond for their customers! They explained how the components of my car work and how they would fix/replace certain parts of the system to improve function. I felt very comfortable with them working on my car and didn't feel like I was being tricked or swindled, like at other garages.

I had stopped here cuz it was the nearest mechanic to a vehicle that I was looking at for sale that was used. These guys are awesome let me tell you, they pointed out some things that the local dealer selling this car had supposedly no idea of? Pride and honesty are hard to find in this industry and these guys have it they're looking to continue a family-owned and operated business into the future and they're doing it in the wisest of ways by earning customer trust and loyalty! I don't live down that direction so they won't be my main mechanic however I can tell you if I know of anyone in the area needing service I highly recommend them and have to friends and family. Based on their findings fortunately I had the knowledge to walk away from the vehicle due to the Dealer's inability or unwillingness to budge from his price but the inspection was well worth the little cost and I was amazed how thorough they were. No offense I don't look forward to seeing you again because that means trouble for me but if and when I do I will feel more than confident that the quality of the repair will be superb thank you.

We were experiencing a profound engine growl and expected a major repair looming.......Nick at Nuts and Volts told us what he thought it might be and gave us a very fair estimate. Luckily, once Nick took a good look at the problem it turned out to be a very minor fix. We really appreciated the courteous service,good communication, and quick solution to our problem....Good trustworthy local shop!

Took my car for rear brake job i was told i ll be about $300. Then i had a call from them n i was its gonna be 734 cuz it needs caliper too. I decided to take it to other shop for 2nd opinion i was told u have to tow it there. and also have to pay lift charge. Which was not told. I would not recommend this shop to any one.

Just had another great experience with these guys. I would reccommend them heartily and would send them business any chance I get.My family has been going here for upwards of 10+ years. Honest and reliable business.
