I have been going to Nofsingers for a few years now and they are the only shop my family uses or will continue to use. They have a friendly and honest team which can be hard to find. Highly recommend them!

These guys are amazing! I called because my car wouldn't start and figured I needed a tow. Dave tried to help me start the car over the phone and saved some dough. I ended up needing a tow and called to schedule a pickup. They came out, looked at the car, and helped me on the spot. I recommend these guys to anyone and will only bring my business to them from here on out.

Came to them to fix a problem I was having with my driver side door lock. Reasonable price and quick turnaround. Great people and excellent service as always.

Dave did a great job getting my Mustang back up and running. He was very communicative with what needed to be done and conscious of costs. I d definitely have no problem with Nofsinger s working on any of my vehicles. Thanks Dave!

I dropped my car off when the check engine light of my jeep went off. They were extremely helpful, communicative and were able to fix the issue. I highly recommend!

It s hard to find a honest person these days let alone an auto mechanic. Honesty and integrity is what this place is all about. Thanks Dave, I ll be calling you for any repair or maintenance issues I may need in the future. 2008 RAV 4 2.4 FWD November 2023.

This review is based on conversations with a few of their employees. Service was not done at the present time, however had I chose to do so, I would be happy as this review is. (First time customer)Stopped in last week as someone decided to cut off catalytic converter on my vehicle and I was in need of a place that serviced that particular need as the shop I used to go to is a Muffler shop only but way into the city of Chicago.From the first meeting with Mark to setting up a time and day to get my vehicle on, to the call and explanation of parts and prices today, and the good old honesty from when picking up the vehicle today was something I have not witnessed or seen in years coming from an automotive shop.Nathan was very courteous and respectful to me regarding the issue and my few options to get the converter fixed. I like that he treated me with respect and understood my decision in not wanting to fix the vehicle at the time do to the price for the stupidity of someone stealing it. The shop was busy and I did have to wait a few days to get the car in but nonetheless, even if I chose not to do business with them at the time, they appreciated ME, the customer for giving them a chance to look at the car and still did not charge for the diagnosis after the fact. In the end of the conversation, Dave had recommended another shop locally that may be able to help, however I told him I chose them over his recommendation which I did have an option to go to as well based on the reviews read on here. Do not second guess this shop if your car needs honest work by honest mechanics. I would return to this shop as it is now local to me for other automotive needs!

The shop provides excellent quality service and repair. I had a higher-mileage car I purchased with some defects fixed up here. I spoke with the mechanic who was working on the car, Nathan, who was awesome and happy to explain everything in detail. This included what was and wasn't immediately necessary for my safety and the long-term health of the car, as well as anything else I was curious to learn about. The car runs well after the repairs and I have confidence it will be on the road for many more miles.Services: Exhaust, Steering & suspension repair, Auto exhaust system repair, General repairs & maintenance, Steering & suspension replacement, Engine repair, Vehicle Inspection, Wheel alignment, Vehicle safety inspection

Always honest and let me know what's a must fix (safety) vs should fix (later) and not really needed but could fix on my almost 20 year old vehicle. Each time they do major work, they know how long I plan to keep the vehicle and will ensure I won't be stranded anywhere. I've used them since 2009 and will continue to use as long as I am driving. I know before I buy my next car, I'll have them check it out first.

I have been taking our cars to Nofsinger's for at least 10 years. They are great at what they do. They are honest and straightforward. The work is professionally done and with reasonable charges. They have been keeping my 2007 Infinity running great. The most recent works was to replace the head gasket and do the 100,000 mile work on our Subaru Forester. Chris usually gets my vehicles to work on. The car now runs great and we are set to have it work for us for a long time to come.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Michael is amazing and so helpful. This place is the only mechanic my family will use. They are honest, efficient, and truly care about their customers. It's obvious the guys take pride in what they do. :)

My family has been coming here since the early 90's. They are so honest and fair here. I trust Mark and all his staff with my cars. I just stopped by today. Had a nail in my tire. Took it out and come to find out it was just the head of the nail. No puncture at all. Took to our dealership prior to stopping by Marks and they wanted $490.00!!!! Said tire had to be replaced and balanced, plus service charge. Please! There just is no one around as Honest as Mark Nofsinger. Always a satisfied customer! Thank you Mark and staff for all your great work over the years! You are all so appreciated.

I moved from the city about 15 years ago, couldn't find a reliable place to take my car, I know enough to know when I'm swindled. Got to Nofsinger's and I was greeted with amazing customer service by the mechanics who seem to have great pride in the operation and take ownership of the work. I always feel safe when I drive my cars off their premises because I know they have look at everything and doubled back to inspect their work, they are reliable, quick, trustworthy and prices are fair.

On the recommendation of a friend, I asked these guys to inspect a used car I was thinking about buying. It was a great experience. They checked the car over extremely thoroughly and gave me honest, clear observations and recommendations. They were wonderful to deal with throughout the whole process. I live over an hour away from Lombard, or I would take all my cars to them from now on. Thanks so much, guys!

Found the shop via Yelp a few months back while looking for a place locally to have my breaks done. Not only did they respond to my request the quickest, but they were up front and told me to only replace my front brakes and come back later to do the back. Well, I m going back there to get them done this week. I knew I would go back there without a doubt; a small business deserves loyal customers because of their honesty!

Had Chris fix my car, we at first thought it was the starter which it wasn t. After figuring it wasn t the starter even offered to take it back and replace it with my original starter but decided it s best to keep the new one. Chris took the extra effort to fix my car in the cold and figure it out for me after not knowing what exactly it was causing it not to start, he had great customer service and communication on what was being done with my car and what other problems it had that were minor. I feel very confident that my car was in good hands.Service: General repairs & maintenance

These guys are the best!!! And using them for the past 25 years. They're not the cheapest they're also not the most expensive, but they always fix it right the first time. I have never had to take a vehicle back for a problem that they didn't fix right the first time. They always get it right the first time. Love these guys

This is the first internet review I've ever bothered to write. Recently went to Nofsinger's to have a used car evaluated for purchase by my daughter. She and I appreciated the polite and very friendly interaction we had with multiple technicians, and found that they did a very thorough job. We live about 30 minutes away, so there are many auto shops closer to us, but I am seriously considering making the drive in the future to Nofsinger's.

By far the best auto repair shop i have been too! Not only did they fix my car a few years back, they gave me much needed tips on what to watch out for. Definitely better than fair pricing on repairs, etc. If you need a serious repair done I wouldn't go to any other shop other than this one, the best customer service I could ask for & more; I absolutely love this place and the guys working here are miraculous with their work. I definitely recommend anyone in the vicinity to this place and we'll be coming back later if need be.

Honest Professionals!I am a very mechanically proficient customer. So I know when I'm getting a good deal, and when I'm being scammed. I have immense respect for any business owner (especially mechanics) that do not attempt to rope their customers into buying something they don't need.Before finding Nofsinger's, I went to 3-4 shops for estimates on an engine related issue. EVERY other shop said I needed an intake gasket replacement (part=$30). It was going to cost around $800-1,000 in labor, because you need to take a lot apart to get to it. Nofsingers looked at it, and said "we can replace the gasket, but it isn't completely necessary, nor "hard" to do, just time consuming. Your vehicle may get slightly less MPG, but it will not harm the engine. Or if you want to do the work yourself, we'll show you what to do." So I did the work myself, and prepared to pay them for their diagnostic testing etc, but when I picked it up they said it was free! All the other shops charge around $100 to diagnose something. (Which is fair) But Nofsingers has seen my vehicles a half-dozen times, and twice now recommended not fixing it, nor did they charge me anything! WOW. Not only is that very honest, it takes a lot of confidence in your business to not feel the need to do work that a customer thinks they need...when they don't need it. For that reason, they will always be my 1st call.THANK YOU Nofsinger's.

I've lived in the area for more than 5 years, and Nofsingers has taken great care of me and my problematic vehicles the entire time. Including my 15-year-old "Honda Toyota." I highly recommend.

Outstanding service! You get to speak directly to the mechanic that will be working on your car, not a service writer at a desk who will never see your car. Their pricing is fair and in line with the market and their workmanship is simply second to none. Worth every penny!

Nothing but great experiences with Nofsinger's. My family and I have learned to trust Nofsinger's mechanics over the dealership's thanks to the regularly lower cost of repair, honest summaries on the condition of the vehicle, and more personal touch they are able to provide. Also, Nofsinger's will look over your vehicle free of charge (from my experience).
