Dave and Frank were awesome. Despite the long journey to figure out the problem with my car, they did not give up until they found it. It was repaired rather quickly once that happened. It is great to know they are close and great at what they do, especially having a Volkswagen. Thank you both so much. Tuffy is lucky to have you. I'll be back for any future repairs!!!!

Let me tell you about this guy David that Tuffy hired. I was getting ready for a trip when I stated my car and it was running pretty rough. Having little to no knowledge on cars I called Tuffys and David answered. He said they were pretty busy but I should make my way over and he said he would do his best to take care of me. Upon arrival I was greater with a warm welcome and a firm hand shake. David got my car right in. After he checked under my hood he found a vacuum line undone. He showed me a clamp he had, put it on the hose, tightened it down, and wouldn't figure....rough running engine was gone!!! To top it off, he smiled once again, shook my hand, and told me to have a nice trip! Tuffy, you do what you have to to keep this guy!!! Thank you David!

They mounted the spare onto my car for no charge, and when we came back to pick up my car wheel, the guy came outside with it even before we could get to the front door. When I spoke with them on the phone, they were courteous and professional.

My cars always seem to present with "ghost in the machine" intermittent type issues (ya know, the ones that go away when you bring the car to the dealer for service). Tuffy's always takes the time necessary and finds the issue for me...sometimes it requires a repair, sometimes it's just tightening something. I always feel like they're taking good care of our vehicles.

Very good place to go to for any auto needs, Frank and Dan are very smart with what they do and can do a lot more than you would think. Highly recommend checking them out for anything needed on your car.

Just had my exhaust fixed by this team. Just an outstanding job true professional I just went in with a quote store manager was honest gave me options and did the job then. I was expecting to make an appointment for another day. Now my car drives like a brand new car. Very grateful for the hard work and effort of this team highly recommend them.

As a fairly new car owner, I'm very impressed in the way Chris and his staff have treated me as a customer. I feel very welcome at this location and will never go anywhere else for help with my car. They take the time to get to know you and your car. When I come in, Chris asks me about school and how I'm doing. I feel very appreciated and I've only been there a few times. I've had an ongoing issue with the wiring of my taillights and they've taken care of tightening the wires for me with no charge. Overall, I will always recommend the Tuffy in Lockport as my go-to for auto repairs. Great staff!Services: Vehicle safety inspection, Auto interior vacuuming, Auto maintenance, Oil change

Took car into this shop because the key would not turn in the ignition. They had the car for 2 weeks, charged me $2400, and 2 days later the same EXACT problem happened, leaving us stranded in a parking lot at night, and when I called them, they wanted another $800 to keep trying to fix it. BEWARE!!! They are super nice but in over their head when it comes to ignition issues.Service: General repairs & maintenance

The service providers at Tuffy have always been good to me. My latest visit was no exception. Very knowledgeable and personable group of people working there. Dave at the front desk was fantastic, and G-money the tech that worked on my vehicle was great, he even let me see what he had going on and explained what he could do to fix them if I wanted, which I did.Great experience all around!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Oil change

Great service all around! I had wheel bearings replaced on my Dodge Dart at a good deal. When I stopped at the shop to pay for my repairs, the vehicle I was driving wouldn't start back up. It was Friday night so we had to wait until Monday to get that vehicle checked out. It ended up being a loose battery terminal. They tightened it up and charged the battery and let me know I could come pick it up. Thank you to Greg and the staff at Tuffy!!

Absolutely incredible place. Mike was quick and efficient with his work. Came in and came out the same day! While I was waiting, David took great care of me as well. He was incredibly kind and was clearly knowledgeable. It's definitely going to be my goto place from now on. It is truly a great place to get your car fixed!

I received tremendous service at Tuffy Auto Service Center in Lockport I had a frozen brake caliper. Tuffy was able to get me in immediately and fix the problem. I really appreciate how the work was done and how soon they got me in. (Same day). I was leaving for Sturgis South Dakota the following day. I would highly recommend Tuffy

The only reason I m giving 5 stars now after the 3 years I ve been with this company is because of the new owners/supervisor RON! I have been coming to this place to get my oil changed for about 3 years, and when you get your oil changed you expect them to look at/ change your air filter as well. My air filter was never replace or checked for THREE YEARS (with the old owners). My air filter looked like a tree was growing in it. RON got me in and let me know what was actually going on with my car (w/ no an oil change inspection). He even got the part sent to the office while I was waiting, which was a BONUS, because I had just got off of a 10hr shift. I felt so confident leaving the shop that day knowing I REALLY was taken care of. Thank you guys!

Had a great experience at Tuffy, Lockport.Dave the manager is super friendly and knowledgeable, makes you feel like family doing business there. I met Barney (one the technicians) as he pulled my car up and asked him a question regarding another car issue that I wasn t there for and he took the time to go over some things even though he was busy with other customers. I highly recommend bringing your vehicle here.Service: Oil change

Nice place. Certainly better than other shops in the neighborhood. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Had brakes done and front end work done on separate occasions. They replaced my air filter for free when I had aa large job for them to do. Only reason I gave this place 4 stars instead of 5 is because of some minor things. Asked them to air my tires please and it wasn't done. The wheel pressure gauges were backward after a repair. The master cylinder cap was left off and resting inside the hood. The tire air stem caps were missing after after a repair. Minor infractions. I still use this shop.Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Wheel alignment, Brakes

These chains always have the worst prices and don't really compromise when the amount of work necessary for your vehicle is significantly less than what they base the cost of any particular service on. I'd suggest calling around for quotes and explaining what you need, then finding someone who will give you a cost based on that, rather than their pricing model with the same numbers they give to everybody

I have been getting my oil changed at Tuffy in Lockport for years. Not because I live close but rather for the excellent customer service I have always received from Chris. Besides being a great guy, friendly and personable, Chris is honest. It's hard to find that these days. I trust Chris. As long as he is at this location, that's where I'll continue to go. The rest of the staff is great too. I'm lucky I found them! I highly recommend Tuffy in Lockport, ILService: Oil change

Grateful to have this shop in the area. Convenient location for drop off and service is excellent. I needed help with my truck, diagnostic was done within an hour or two, and same day repair as well, including getting parts on site quickly. Guys running the shop are friendly, call you with updates, and I even recognized the same mechanic at this shop from 4-5 years ago. Meaning he is very experienced, likes his job, and techs don t come and go all the time.

I've been bringing both of my vehicles to Susan and company for the past 7 years and I have never been disappointed! The service is terrific, and their work and spot on. I always feel I'm getting a fair shake whether it's an oil change or something major. One of their greatest quality is they stand behind their work, and handle any problems with fairness and integrity.I highly recommend Tuffy's for all your automotive needs!
