The reviews below are misleading. I brought in my snowblower, which wouldn't start, and they were able to turn it around and get it back to me the same day in anticipation of a storm we're about to get. Owner was polite, explained what likey needed to be done and had it turned around in a few hours. Will certainly return again for other repairs.

I have to say I have been going to this shop for 20 years now and I have taken many different types of equipment there and every time they repair something for me it is repaired properly it runs better and it continues to run for pretty much the duration or the life of the piece of equipment they are always very professional and the prices are very reasonable for example I brought in a fairly new generator that was giving me a little trouble running I told them that go through it please clean out the carburetor give it an oil change and a tune-up when I went to pick up the machine they had done everything I had asked but they did not do an oil change or replace the spark plug because they told me all of that was just fine and it would have just been an added cost that was not needed once again very fair and honest I can't believe anybody would say anything less they have always been this way for more than 20 years I wouldn't hesitate to bring any piece of equipment there and I would recommend them to anybody who needed some work done on small engines thank you again for all of your courteous and professional work on my equipment

HE DOESN'T ANSWER THE PHONE!!!! Doesn't return messages on his voice mail. Forget this BUM! Contacted him in person about charger plug for Ryobi electric tractor and has NEVER contacted me back about it in over a month despite the fact he has my phone etc......HORRIBLE BUSINESS..Don't waste your time with this guy.

Horrible customer service. I'd like to be able to provide a review based on the quality of work that they did, but seeing as how they have had our lawn mower for more than 2 months now, without a single update phone call on the status of the repairs, I can't.I've called and left no less than 5 messages with their voice mail, none of which have been returned.I try to support local businesses but this is a joke!

I had been dreading taking my mower in for a self propelled service issue. When I arrived, the service provider took a look at my mower, and simply adjusted the wire tension to improve the self propelling feature. I also required my blade to be sharpened which they did on the spot. They could have easily made me leave it and charge me for something that wasnt required. They did not and I soooo appreciated their honesty. I would highly recommend Stewarts for great, honest service. Keep up the good work guys.

I dropped off a Homelite Gas Trimmer June, 2022, with a broken head. I picked up the unit (still broken) June 2023. During that time, he claimed: warranty wasn't valid, the company stopped making heads, supply chain issues, I never authorized ordering the part, delivery delays, and finally, the generic part he wanted to sell me didn't fit my unit. Also, I never once received a phone call from this company; I had to visit there to get any updates.Use at your own risk!

Absolutely terrible service. My mower was under warranty and rather than call me and tell me the work wasn't covered under warranty they charged me. And of course I sent my wife to handle this because I work during the week so they just saw an easy victim to scam. They charged me $60 on a $218 mower less than a year old. Never drop your mower off here because they will not wait for your authorization and just scam you claiming bad gas. These people are also incredibly rude online responding to their reviews,I'll be contacting my attorney and disputing this charge

I am a newbie when it comes to snow blowers and lawn movers and a direct result of this is I left the gasoline in my snow blower over the summer (bad idea). I went searching for someone to repair my snow blower. I discovered Stewart s. I phoned first. I was greeted warmly and professionally. I eagerly took my sick blower to the shop. The gentlemen that met me was extremely nice and courteous. Long story short within 24 hours my blower had been repaired and I was picking it up. The owner and his staff were truly awesome. They even took time to educate me a bit about maintaining my blower. Thank you for your prompt and professional service. I do recommend this shop to anyone looking for small engine repair work. They ARE the real deal!

I bought a used Troy Built front wheel drive lawnmower from them a few years ago for $150. He said it was about 5yrs old and he repaired it for starting problems and the customer just left it.It ran well and started with a single pull.The next year the drive stopped working so I went back to him and he said the transmission was shot. He said he only warranted it for 1 season and that he had given me a good deal.I said a good deal for WHAT? $150 for a used push mower. $50 or $75 would have been a good deal, and I'm sure it was WAY more than 5yrs old. I've had front drive mowers much older than that and the engine went before the transmission and those were with heavy use.There's an honest competitor a few miles south off Joyce Rd.

This place is very unresponsive and unreliable we send a pressure washer her to get repaired never heard anything from the shop had to leave work early and go by there only to find out it still wasn't finished from over a month. went back to pick it up finally only to find out when I got home the pump cracked. Now it back with them again and they will not answer the phone so very unprofessional

Wow. Not only fair, but courteous and respectful. I took my John Deere in to be serviced and they kept the price LOW by replacing fuel filter and cleaning out carburetor. Yesterday I called and they offered to pickup at no charge and diagnose. Instead, driver Chris, looked at it while in my driveway and saw leads to battery loose. Tightened and the tractor started right up. I am blown away at the level of service. Highly recommend!

A long sad story, had snowblower picked up October 9th ,November 9th I call to find out what's up? Guy says well I'm 3 weeks behind so maybe next week. So two weeks later and $220 dollars for a tune up on a $80 snowblower that I got back 7 weeks later and the big snow coming it runs worst.I beg him to come see how terrible it runs.

If I could give them 0 stars I would. With a new baby and work, I didn't have time to work on my intermediate no starting riding mower. I called them and told them to call when they got it in. 2 weeks later they called and said they were bringing it to me in an hour. Very disorganized when I asked what was wrong with it. The service writer had no clue. I had to call back and ask how much it was and how to pay, as he rushed off the phone. When they dropped it off 5 hours later, the punk "mechanic" told me the battery needed to be charged. When I told him that wasnt the problem with the intermediate no start condition he lied and said something about a loose safety switch. The next day it wouldnt start. I ended up having time to look at it myself a week later and correctly diagnosed it to be a faulty ignition module that was throwing a weak spark. I wouldn't recommend this place to someone that I hated. Stay away from here!

I took my leaf blower in last year around oct 2020. I knew that he was backed up and it would take some time. However its been 7 months and numerus calls and still no answer. I just keep getting the same answer, they will call me with an estimate to fix it. If they cant fix it, at lest give me back my blower. Worse customer service ever.

Dropped my 1971 wheel horse 800 special because it was not running right. They had it fixed in a week and I am very happy with it. Nice people to deal with and wouldn't hesitate to bring my other tractor in for repairs..

I wish I could rate a zero but that s not an option. This business isn t worthy of the American dollar. I received piss poor service and my power washer after taking it back twice still isn t working property. I didn t take it there either time with an oil leak but upon receiving it back and after paying for service an oil leak was present. They claimed to seal the valve where the leak was coming from which was a lie. Upon arriving to this business initially I was insulted by an employee in reference to their dogs running at large and presenting a potential safety threat to customers. Don t ignore the signs of this business. Consumers beware.

I've been going to these guys for the past three years with everything from hedge trimmers, to chain saws, log splitter, and yard tractor. Service has always been timely and spot on. The pick up and delivery has been a great help.Strongly recommend the guys.

We only trust Stewart's for our mowers. Honest work at fair prices with an incredible guarantee. Their patience with our moody old mower last spring earned our eternal loyalty.

I would give zero stars if that was available. I called the warranty people on September 6th, Stuart's picked up my lawn mower 2 weeks later. Today is October 11th and I still don't have my riding mower. I brought in my push mower to the toro repair on Wolfe road in mokena on September 25th and it was ready on Monday September 28th.

Brought snow blower in on 2/2/2015 for auger not spinning. Mechanic stated PROBABLY WAS BAD GEAR. Said he would order part and blower would be ready in "about a week". Today is 2/13/2015 and mechanic states that he has yet to receive the part. He said he ordered the part 2/5/2015 (4 days after I brought it in). Manufacturers rep says part was sent out. As of today, Stewarts claims they still haven't received the part. When I asked why he waited so long to order the part, he said " you art not the only customer". I bet I am the only customer waiting for a part from the Snow Devil rep (Amerisun)--who by the way says the parts were shipped out and there were no parts ordered with my name tagged to them. I am very disappointed and hope we don't get another snowstorm. I am awaiting further information. I will advise when blower is fixed.

Dropped off snowblower first week of November for repair never heard anything from them for a month started calling for status no answer left messages no one calls back finally got through 2 weeks ago was told they would work on it beginning of last week still have not heard from them and continue to call and leave messages.after finally getting a call today after posting here about no response I went and picked up my snowblower, at no point did I state that it didn't run just the discharge chute was broken i unloaded it when I got home and motor still runs just doesn't throw snow

This place is a unprofessional business, I waited for a call twice from them for just over two weeks each time, I took something in under warranty, after they spoke to the manufacture and decided not to cover they did the work without my consent, I got stuck with the bill for something I never agreed upon. Would not recommend or ever return.

THESE PEOPLE ARE REALLY EXCELLENT. PICKED UP AND DELIVERED MY JOHN DEERE RIDING MOWER FOR ONLY $65. FULL BLOWN TUNE UP AND SHARPEN AND BALANCE BLADES, $100. RUNS BEAUTIFUL.
