We visited them for 1 night on our way home from seeing the April 2024 eclipse. In our opinion it's a little too close to the highway to stay for long but still a great place for a layover for travelers. The sites are well maintained and very clean. They are also well landscaped with a good mix of gravel and grassy areas. An employee stopped by as we were setting up to make sure all was in order which we appreciated. The restrooms and showers were amongst the cleanest and well maintained we've seen at any campground, and they even had a small dog park which our dogs enjoyed sniffing around. We'd be happy to stay here again next time we are in the area!

This is a smaller, quaint RV park. It had plenty of room for our 40ft fifth wheel. The staff is incredibly helpful and often goes out of the way to assist. We stayed for five months and it was wonderful. Lots of room for getting your RV where it needs to go, easy to park and level, clean laundry room and bathrooms, and the owners are some of the kindest people you ll meet.Semi trucks use their Jake brakes on the road just outside of the park, but other than that it s quiet, green, and a comfortable place. The park is kid friendly and feels safe.

I would stay here again! Great spot to stop for the night if you re traveling through as I was. Super clean bathrooms, nice hot shower, convenient location, great value, clean grounds with level gravel. Super friendly owners who are very helpful! I had a problem with the lock on my hitch and the owners did not hesitate to help me fix it!! Lots of food options and Walmart just 6 minutes up the road! Very convenient! I felt safe here and would recommend to everyone!

This was a last minute booking for my family and I and we where accommodated. The camp was clean, the people where very nice, there where little children there who played nicely there was a mixture of age people all around a wonderful place to go with your family and relax or vacation. I believe they are family owned and they where really nice people who made us feel welcomed we didn't want to leave it was wonderful and very affordable also good wifi clean showers nice laundry room. If your looking for somewhere to go to just get away from home and everyday things this is the perfect place with lots of places to shop nearby and a movie theater not far I rate them a 10/10 if I could!!!!! Can't wait to go again!!!!!Nearby activities: There is a Walmart there is a Salvation Army store there is a goodwill, lots of restaurants, there is a movie theater not far and a few other places that we didn't get to go to because it was late and the kids became restless but by far definitely worth itSafety: We felt safe we didn't notice any creepy things or people while we were there I allowed my two daughters and the baby to play on the swings while I sat in the car for a little bit and they enjoyed themselves they didn't want to stop playing some of the people who where there we where told has lived there for a few years quite hours are from 10pm until 8am and it was indeed quiet and peaceful we enjoyed our time there and are planning on our return tripWalkability: If you are a walker you would love the long roads my best advice is wear bright colors at night because it gets very dark and there is no sidewalk and the road is narrow but if you like to run or walk you would love the roads over thereFood & drinks: There where lots of places to eat about 6 minutes away in the car from fast food to buffet style even the gas station has a little dinner inside very nice guy who works at night

Kamper Kompanion (family owned and operated) is by far the best campground I have had a pleasure camping at in many years. Property is a breath of fresh air, all gravel, level, easy entry and easy exit, well maintained, fair prices,& most of all clean! Owners being hard working and honest, that alone shows class and character, in which sets standards that are hard to follow. I look forward to camping there again in the near future.Safety: Owners live on property, and have a network of camera security. Owners always are available for prompt service.

Friendly staff.Clean & cute beach scene bath room.Level gravel sites.Pull through & Big Rig friendly.We had problems with our RV & they went above & beyond to help us out.We will be back the next time passing thru. We are from Michigan.Safety: You feel safe walking around the park.Food & drinks: Good restaurant down the road for dinner & breakfast.

This is a great camp ground. It's very clean, with nice laundry facilities and shower rooms. There is a nice doggy park and large grassy areas . It is a nice location, out in the country but only 8 miles from town and less than 40 miles to Springfield. The owners are friendly and helpful. It's only about 12 miles from Lou Yager state park with some very nice hiking trails.

We had booked 2 nights, prepaid, camping over Labor Day weekend. Unfortunately, the day before we were to be there, my wife tested positive for Covid. I called the day we were supposed to arrive, to cancel, expecting to lose the money and rightly so. They were very sympathetic, wished us the best and invited us back some day. I like the way they do business. We will get there eventually.Update:We did finally stay 2 nights and everything was good. Never saw any employees , that I know of. The office was locked the couple times I tried. Note on the door with a number to call but we didn't need anything. Shower room was clean and site was level and spacious. Will definitely stay again.

Great experience at Kamper Kompanion! The hosts were very welcoming and accommodating for a motorcycle and tent. The web doesn't show the tenting locations correctly so don't let it put you off from the park.The bathrooms were very clean and camper friendly! The showers had the adjustable stream along with hooks and a chair for your belongings.If my travels take me in the vicinity again, I will definitely stay here again!!

Had a bad experience at a campground about 50 miles away on a Friday afternoon and called Brandon and got right in on a short notice. I wound up spending 3 nights there. It s about 40 miles from Springfield.This was a very nice place. It is well kept outside and inside. Clean bathrooms and showers, even decorated. I would stay here again if in the area. We were in a class a motorhome and it was no problem. Thanks

Even though we only stated one night, we would definitely stay here again. The staff were very nice and upgraded us when we wouldn't fit in the spot we had selected. If you have a dog you will love it here. Beautiful grass goes on forever and it was hard to get our dog back in the rv. Easy access on and off the freeway but we barely noticed any road noise.Walkability: Enjoyed the grounds.

Quiet and peaceful park right off I-55. Close to Litchfield and a short hour drive to St Louis. We stayed for two weeks in site 14. The park was designed for easy access with long pull through sites. Pretty mature trees, large grassy areas and corn fields surround the park. The park host and family are friendly and accommodating. We will definitely stop back in when traveling through the area!

This place was conveniently located for our purposes, very clean and neat, they have a nice dog park and the surface was all rocks that had been packed down to a good surface. The only negative would be the traffic noise. Just balance the convenience with the noise.

I love the great service, people & the beautiful dog run & grassy areas. The sites are just gravel. Good, but no appeal to sit outside your rig.But - I do love the grassy & big dog run & all the surrounding lawn so refreshing . Thank you.Noteworthy details: Dog run & grass lawn surrounding the unit parking.
